I have been coming here for a while now. I’m at least there once a month and I have never been disappointed. My girlfriend loves them every time too. The ladies who work there are always really nice and helpful whenever I have a question. I highly recommend their flower arrangements for any occasion!

I have nothing but amazing things to say about McCarthys! I chose McCarthys to do the flowers for my wedding and they hit it out of the park with the final product. I didnt give any photo examples (just colors) and was so impressed by what I saw on my wedding day. They were designed by Bill Canjar and he was a pleasure to work with. He would check in on email and make sure he took down all the right notes and confirmed with me multiple times before the big day. I wanted green/white flowers with gold accents. I attached a photo which truly speaks for itself. Whatever you do, say yes to McCarthy Flowers!

I’m not from/live in PA, and needed to find a florist in Scranton. I placed an online order through the website and made a slight error in the recipient address. The staff were incredibly nice about it and since the correct address was on the same street, they made the delivery minutes later. The bouquet was arranged beautifully and made my recipient and I happy.

I had the pleasure of meeting Bill Canjar in March 2019 at a wedding expo. From the moment i met him, i knew i had to make him my wedding florist. For the past 1yr and half Bill, my mother and i worked hand in hand with what i wanted, she wanted etc. To say he was just my florist would be a lie. He became part of our family.During the time of covid 19 breaking out and restrictions changing all the time, we werent even sure if we were going to be able to have our wedding on Sept 12,2020. Every step of the way again, Bill was by our side with positive thoughts and willing to do whatever it was we needed.Finally the day was here and we were able to go threw with the wedding. To see Bills work finally in person was breath taking. I couldnt believe how he took my ideas (which was you know the wedding scene in twilight? thats what i want a garden whimsical feel) and brought them to life adding some of his flare and style. He told me I got this and he did. He knew what I wanted even with me talking in circles. The talent this man has is unbelievable. From my cocktail hour flowers, reception center pieces, the flowers for my bridesmaids and groomsmen, parents etc. The biggest surprise was my ceremony space (my mom and bill secret) he recreated the arbor to look like the arbor in twilight.If I could give Bill more them 5 stars i would. I would and do recommend Bill to anyone that is looking for an amazing florist. Not just for wedding but any occasion in life. He will have mine for life..

I have never written a Google Review before. However, the flowers from my wedding were so spectacular I felt compelled to write one. They were designed by Bill Canjar from McCarthy Flowers on Pittston Avenue in Scranton. I showed Bill a picture of an arrangement of flowers that I saw online. He created centerpieces with the same light, airy look that were stunning. The flowers were fresh and the vases and centerpieces were absolutely full and profoundly beautiful. He was very easy to talk with and understood exactly what I was looking for. He personally made all of the arrangements himself. He created them with great care and superior attention to detail. Please know I highly recommend Bill Canjar.

After having to postpone my wedding I forgot about flowers. I called McCarthy and spoke to Bill just 2.5 weeks before my wedding. I told him over the phone what I like and don’t like. I wasn’t expecting anything too extravagant. When I saw the flowers this past weekend I couldn’t believe it. They were so amazing and exactly what I had always dreamed of. I am still in shock at how perfect they are!

I wanted to get my little sister flowers for her Christmas concert so I looked up where to get flowers and it took me here. I walked in expecting to buy some quick flowers. I was unaware that you had to make a reservation ahead of time for them. The woman there said that she can make me a bundle quick at an affordable price. They turned out beautiful! Even better than any grocery store! My sister is going to love them! Thanks Lori! Highly recommend!

I have had many wonderful dealings at McCarthy Flower Shop on Pittston Ave in Scranton. The manager Bill is an expert flower designer and so creative. He practically reads my mind when Im trying to describe to him what kind of arrangement I need. He is very professional, very courteous, and an excellent listener. He goes out of his way for you until youre satisfied. Bill is a great asset to the McCarthy family, and I hope he will be with them for a long time. As long as he is I will gladly do business there.

I chose this place purely by chance to surprise my wife at work for our anniversary. She received her dozen roses at her office and was amazed at how gorgeous, fresh and FRAGRANT they were! Their scent filled her work area and she got tons if compliments all day from her co-workers. It really made her day, and in turn, made mine.I most certainly will buy from McCarthys again and I highly recommend them. I did think their prices were a bit steep but then again you get what you pay for.

The only thing that was correct was my bouquet. The color scheme was completely off for my wedding flowers . My colors were dark purple and grey and the flowers consisted of more deep red then purple. They were still pretty but not what I wanted and we even sat down and had a consultation about colors and flowers . The guys flowers were also supposed to be a dark purple but they also cam out a deep red color .

From me being 800 miles away, or the quarantine limiting what I can do, or me actually being able to do a in person order at the shop for my girlfriend, you guys have been nothing but amazing. Three years since I found out about this place and haven’t used any other.

On January 10th 2020, I bought a mixed bouquet with 6 pink roses mixed with other flowers, the other flowers were lovely, and lasted for a week, the roses.were dead in 2 days, 1 was bent in half when I received the bouquet, I didnt notice till I took outta the box it was in when i got home. On Jan 20, my bf bought me a dozen red Roses. The bouquet is put together poorly and 2 roses.are dead the same day. He got them late in the day. This place is living off of a reputation from years ago. Id rather no flowers than dead ones.

Not only was I a little picky with getting the flowers to match my sons dates dress, I was a lot picky! BOY DID THEY DELIVER!!! Perfectly matched in type, color and arrangement! Absolute perfection, the artistry and deaign far exceeded my expectations!!! Will be my go-to florist. Prices were beyond reasonable.

I needed flowers in a hurry for a very special occasion. Bill, in the South Scranton store came through in spectacular fashion! Not only was the arrangement done quickly and on short notice, but the flowers were absolutely beautiful! I couldnt imagine a better experience.

It’s Valentine’s Day. It was on the news that they opened at 6:00 am and it’s on google they are open. I’ve been sitting out front since 6:10. I called they answered said they’re open and they would unlock doors but here I am sitting here for another 20 minutes... Do not post your hours for 6 AM opening and not unlock the doors and do not have on the news you open at 6 AM and answer the phone and still don’t open the doors that’s just common courtesy. If you don’t wanna deal with customers at 6 AM don’t have your hours posted for that time!!!

What can I say about about the talent that is Bill at McCarthy? He is unparalleled in both concept and execution. Whether it be a large arrangement, party, or simply flowers for my home I am always surprised by the beautiful elegance of his work. He exceeds every expectation and is very easy to work with.

Id give it 0 stars if I could. Twice I have received flowers from here and both times 80% of the flowers were already brown around the edges. The most recent was the most infuriating. 2 dozen roses were brown around the edges and when I took off the plastic around them almost all the leaves fell on the floor. Now 5 days later they are dead. So incredibly disappointed

We used Bill Canjar from McCarthy Flowers for our April 2019 wedding at the Radisson Lackawanna Station, and we were so pleased with everything he did for us. All of the arrangements were beautiful and the bouquets were gorgeous. We had alternating high and low centerpieces in the ballroom, a large arrangement on our seating card table, and flowers in the fountain in the lobby - all were amazing. Bill was a pleasure to work with and even stopped by the bridal suite while I was getting ready to make sure I was happy with the bouquets. He really got the style we were looking for (more flowers, less greens) and we got so many compliments on how beautiful everything looked.

Bill Canjar could not have been more amazing to myself and my dad and family when my mom passed away. The casket spray was EXACTLY what we wanted. Again, dad called upon Bill to design a grave arrangement for winter and we couldnt have been more pleased. We look forward to asking Bill to design a spring arrangement. Thanks Bill. Love ya.

What great service. Called late morning, hoping to get same day delivery. Spoke with Bill. Told him what I was looking for, and I just wanted the arrangement to include cali Lillies, the rest was up to them.Flowers were delivered before 2 in the afternoon.My daughter was so thrilled, excited, and blown away at how beautiful the flowers were. She was so pleased to see her favorite flowers mixed in that it made her tear up and she said they make the office smell fantastic.Thank you for making her feel so special.Hats off to the excellent customer service.Will definitely be my go to florist.

I went to help my sisters boyfriend pick a bouquet for her birthday! We went here mainly because no other florist was open on a Sunday. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The process was very easy. She recieved her bouquet the next day at work and I was blown away with the beauty so I could just imagine how she felt. I took a pic and sent it to my fiancé. I think we have a new go to florist! Great Work!

Mccarthy Flowers in Scranton was definately my go to place.... they always did an unbelievable job and went above and beyond to make sure that everything was just perfect. I had to give a 2 star rating because although the arrangement I received from my husband and children were very pretty they are very disappointed in what I received! First, when my husband called to order he requested pink tipped white roses. The woman said it would not look right and they have a rose that has pink through them. My husband stated to them mix them to make it look right then. When I received them they are all white, no pink at all in the rose with little pink flowers mixed in! The problem I have is that he called to tell them that this was not at all what he ordered and the lady told him that THEY WENT WITH THEIR CHOICE! Whether you agree or not, you need to remember that the customer is ALWAYS right! Especially when sending their loved ones something that they love and they are paying an asinine amount for flowers! So disappointed with the rudeness of the staff at this establishment and unfortunately will not ever return. Will also NEVER recommend to anyone due to the customer sevice!

I’ve done business with the company only once where they delivered locally to the bank I work at in Scanton. Not only was the rep rude & impatient with my order. I was told the pink roses would be coming in that same day, therefore fresh...they werent. Called back, was told refund wasnt an option & was sent another bouquet the following week. Fast forward to Vday, Id figure I’d give them another try simply because they are close to my job- this rep was VERY rude, huffed & puffed at every question I asked & had to nerve to tell me they were very busy as if my call was not a priority & I was annoying her. I decided to end the call & end any future possiblities of doing business w/ this place. They’ll be quick to take ya card # & get off the phone w/ you though. Excellent customer service is a BIG part of my job & a requirement. You know if I took the time to write this review, this rep really pissed me off. Shouldve called up edible arrangments, smh. Never again, buyer beware.

Bill Canjar is THE premiere floral artist of NEPA. Whether it be for birthdays, bridals showers, weddings or other events Bill brings his expertise to every event. I had the extreme pleasure of working with Bill last year designing the wedding of my dreams. Bill takes his time with you and listens to every detail. Bill is such a professional in everyway that he even took a 4 hour trip to Long Island to look at the venue and really get a feel of the layout. He answers every phone call and text in a timely fashion and makes things happen like magic. I can not say enough great things about Bill Canjar. On top of everything he is the most amazing wedding guest and dancer!
