Love this place!!! Fantastic customer service- friendly, helpful, hometown feel. Great hoagies and deli selection. A really nice selection of Italian imports (sauces, pasta, cookies, candies, etc.) considering the smaller size of the place. Cannoli cookies from Brooklyn are a hit with our family. Easy to find and it’s helpful that they have a side lot for parking.

Ive been going to catalongo for years just paid $14.00 for 6 buns and two grab and go hogies, and the bread size and quality of the sandwiches was ho-hum at best.

Ive been coming for years. This is the best italian store and deli or area has to offer. If youve never had an italian hoagie here you pretty havent had a real one period. Lots of specialty products.

One of the true mom and pop places left. If you need any type of Italian deli item, this is the please to go. They have the best true Italian hoagies. Although I havent had it in 20 years, if they still make Italian ice in the summer, its the real deal. I remember the taste as a child. Must visit place.

Catalanos is a West Scranton landmark and neighborhood tradition. Its an old time grocery store that specializes in Italian meats and grocery items that you cant find anywhere else. Paul Catalano and his Nephew Paul Matteo and everyone that works there are very friendly. Its just a nice experience to go in there and feel like family. Check their hours as they sometimes close for vacation, which is well deserved.They have ready to go Italian Hoagies with sweet or hot peppers everyday along with pizza. The hoagies are a west Scranton staple. If you havent had one, youre missing one delicious hoagie.They have a lunch special a hoagie and scan of soda for a low price.Ive been going here since I was in grade school, now Im in my late 50s. The service and quality have only gotten better over all these years.This place is simply, The BEST!

Their isnt an Italian small bakery, grocery shop anywhere in the Scranton, Wilkes-Barre area the italian subs were great bruschetta was top notch my favorite was one with garlic. One needs to put this one their bucket list of things to do. A great place to get everything needed to have a sit-down italian style for family and friends you want to impress.

Well, they arent super friendly to people who are unfamiliar, but they are professional... its a wonderful Italian goods store., family owned and operated.... up stairs a private investigators office....Mr. Catalano wears the traditional white shirt black banded sleeves, with black tie.... annexing cultural experience... great cookies. Bakala, pasta... if your not sure what sauce to use with which pasta... ask... they know, they tell you... best Italian meats ever! Best hoagies in the area...

Very authentic a trip to the mother land

I stand on line on Thursdays to gete the homemade sausage.....Dont wait till Friday...it might be gone.Great hoagies and pizza too but the real draw here is the Catalano family and the amazing dedication to the customers and the products.

Everyone in the know grabs a skinny Italian hoagie (breads kinda skinny or thin, but great) and you grab them premade but fresh at the counter, mild or hot for $5. They dont make hundreds daily because theyre bad. Definitely a great place for a quick Italian sandwich.
