Hugely disappointed with Adriano’s business ethics here. While agreeable, the Stone’s here are gorgeous, stunning, one-of-a kind Natural beauties, my experience here was my worst nightmare. I’ve waited 20 + years to make a dream of mine come to fruition—having a master bath. Went to Natural looking for a piece of stone for my vanity, fell in love with a stunning piece with gorgeous grey cuts mimicking a combo of snake skin, and alligator sparkling like diamonds amongst the whitish-grey background. I designed and ordered my cabinetry, hardware, etc, around this stunner. Adriano had me write my name on my piece. I came back to see/show my piece and couldn’t find it—I was nervous. It had been a couple of months as builders are backed up. He assured me this other piece was mine, that the rain washed my name away. I said “is it because I didn’t pay for my piece?” ( he said I didn’t need to). So……he originally had 6 pieces cut from the same place, I was lucky to be one of the first to see and choose from these beauties….. he gave me a red Sharpie permanent marker to write my name on—-I wrote on both sides my name—so this wouldn’t happen to me again, and paid in full. This was May 2021. I went back there last week, my piece was gone!! Again, I was told the rain washed it away—-Adriano was adamant this “other” piece was mine. Ok, now I’m seeing this for what it really is/was. My piece was sold once again to the higher bidder!! I was left with the last remaining piece no one else wanted…..rightfully so…..yellowish veins and an opposite run of color in the wrong direction. I was truly upset at this point. Now, I can clearly see what has been occurring—Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. That piece of stone was the focal point of my bathroom (the crown jewel so-to-speak). Tens of thousands of dollars on cabinetry, hardware, faucets, and time spent on flooring colors all centered around my beautiful piece of stone. This is a business ethics failure here. I’m still in shock and numb. I have since asked around to compare other businesses practices and I got such a different experience. Their sold pieces were just that, SOLD! I got my money back from Adriano, and wasn’t given a word in edgewise. My heart is/was heavy as I would have never done to one in which one has done to me. All you have is your word. Honesty and Integrity still needs to persevere.
These folks are true craftsmen. They just did my kitchen in Blue Fusion quartzite not the easiest material to work with. Double bull nose is perfect. Everything is exactly as I envisioned it. Keep in mind this is a small family business and like any business if one job runs over time wise it throws off their entire schedule. They know stone and are a wealth of information IF you listen. Just in the few times I was at their store I heard so many people not listen to their recommendations. It makes no sense to me. They are the professionals.
Let me start by saying that I very seldom award 5 stars to any company, because I believe that there is always room for improvement. I also consider myself as the type of customer who has a very critical eye for perfection. Very few companies deserve or work hard enough to garner 5 stars. Universal does! Everyone at Universal did a great job and they couldnt had done it better. Adriano was great from the very beginning; I explained to him what I was looking for, showed him pictures of what I was trying to match and provided him with a template. That was the end of my involvement. No pressure, no upselling, no haggling. He showed respect for my choice and time and offered me suggestions and his expertise. I then left the country for 16 days. Fabrication and delivery were scheduled and everything arrived on time as scheduled. The installation guys were very professional and courteous and respectful of my space, did a great job bringing the pieces up the stairs and installed them to my full satisfaction. I know there are several granite providers in the market, but I will recommend Universal to everyone I know. Great job guys! Keep up the great work and THANK you!
I think these guys are amazing. They may not answer their phone because they have a lot of work. They have a lot of work because they are amazing. They have done two kitchens and a bath of mine. All the jobs were fabulous at great prices. If you want your hand held, dont use them. If you want a supplier with a sixth sense in hard surface, give them a call, or better yet, stop in to their showroom.

I put a down payment on a piece of granite - $2K. I then had a change of plans and told the owner that I would not need the full piece but would be happy to spend the $2K that I put as down payment. The owner was rude and told me he could have sold this piece numerous times, but was being nice and holding it for me. Did not hear back from him after numerous attempts. Then when I went back two months later after not hearing from him, he told me again how he could have sold the piece and this was costing him money. I said, lets works something out where I can spend the $2K. He then told me he had sold most of the piece, and he could maybe do up a couple of small pieced. I ended up getting a 6 inch by 5 feet piece and two 2 foot by 2 foot pieces, for $2K. He is not to be trusted and will lie to make money. Who are the 5 stars? Friends of the family?
They installed our kitchen counter tops. Great quality and service. On schedule. Clean up the work area afterwards very well. Will recommend to friends.
As the son of the owner & partial owner of Universal Stone, I would like to say that Universal Stone has been in business for 25 years (25 years in Ipswich MA, 17 years in Seabrook New Hampshire). We do an average of 40 installations per month(kitchens & bathrooms), roughly 500 installations a year. Most of our business comes from word of mouth and repeat customers.Unfortunately some people create misleading statements that try to discredit 25 years of business, and it’s very sad to see that.

Order was placed for a small 2 x 5 Island countertop. We were told two weeks. two weeks later we were told another week. a week later we were told another week. The phone is rarely answered when you call and when it is answered they say the will call back. return calls never happen. Finally got it installed after 4 weeks and repeated calls
