Let me start with I bought my first two long arms from them back in 2003 which at the time I did tons of research on it so I guess they didn’t decide to be as rude to me but I wouldn’t send anybody here... I wouldn’t send my wife to pick something up because of how in your face they are… The owner actually claimed that his niece was in the infantry in the Navy… I was in the Navy for 14 years and five it was active duty there is no infantry so let’s go to the BS level that this place has. One employee I remember, Hank, was amazing. Unfortunately a bunch of these guys got in trouble at one point, I don’t know the details so nothing will be mentioned. However, I feel like every time I walk in here it is a macho contest of who knows more about weapons than the next person, hey T and T? If that makes you feel better to sleep at night then god bless but I would never send a new gun owner to you guys inquiring about what to get, you’re all arrogant, try to talk over people and are plain rude. There are other places my friends, and as a small arms instructor, I would HIGHLY recommend avoiding this place at all costs!

I went to this store to buy ammo for home defense. I ask the salesman for his recommendation and he sells me target shot. Upon doing research that night I decided I wanted something more lethal. I go back less than 24 hours later to exchange and the rude arrogant owner tells me they have no ammo left. I look over to the other part of the store where the ammo is and I see shelves upon shelves of ammo. When I mention this he says well we cant exchange it because how do I know you didnt tamper with it? That is a legit reason if I wanted to exchange days or weeks later but I came back in less than 24 hours. It was also they way he lied first and said there was no more ammo then he changes his story to no exchanges allowed. Just very rude and unprofessional. They are overpriced as well. I went to another store to get more ammo and paid quite a bit less. I wont shop there again and I have told my friends to shop elsewhere.

Stay away from this place. Three weeks ago I tried to transfer a firearm from another State and they dropped the ball. The Shop from my Stated tried multiple times to get a copy of thier FFL and they blew them off. When you call this place its like your bothering them. Good luck in making money. No service, no pay.

During the last year when a lot of shops were taking advantage of people and inflating prices to the point of absurdity they always managed to remain reasonable.

They did not go out of their way to be helpful.Not sure if a mistake was made or their prices are that inflated. My bad for not asking for an itemized receipt. Will not go back.

I have purchasedthere many times and the owner as well as the staff have alway been exceptional. Even if they didnt have what i was looking for at that time, the owner ordered the product and was more than helpful to accommodate my request. They are far more knowledgeable than any other big chain gun store. I will continue to shop there for all my items.

Helpful the owner and his son schooled me on whats was legal on the AR15 platform . I didnt know their was 2 different types of AR15 you can own in NY state. Fixed mag that you can have a pistol grip, collapsible stock, muzzle brake and one thats has detectable mag with out all the extras . Good place a little bit more expensive but if you dont want to pay go to the next place. They are knowledgeable.

Was a 5 star, now a 4. Generally a good place to shop and I have made many purchases here, but theyve gotten rude over time. Thats expected of a gun store, and I will shop here again, but may consider making some purchases elsewhere.

My family has been buying from here since the 80s, that being said if you try to sell something to Marty you are wasting your time. He will ask what you want for a firearm and if you are not telepathic and hit the exact number he wants, he will not even give you a counter offer. Do not waste your time trying to sell anything here regardless of how rare it might be. Book value doesnt seem to mean anything in this place.Supposedly, The guy is a multi-millionaire from what I have heard, so he doesnt need your business. Keep that in mind if he tries to make the screw over an extra $100.00

Walked in, bought a takedown rifle. The staff was as helpful as could be expected, and the owner came over in the middle of the conversation and had a nice conversation with me. I would definitely come back here. Very good gun shop. Shocked to see such bad reviews. Ive been to the other stores on long Island but this one is definitely well stocked, and prices are reasonable.

Worst experience ever! Ive come to T & T for years, only dealt with one person there, he was personable, helpful and knowledgeable - he was there a very long time, now, hes gone. They have lost great salespeople over the years, now, they have no one who knows anything. I will not deal with owner Marty or his ARROGANT son - remember guys, Im the customer, you should provide customer service and you dont. Your great employees leave for a reason, your customers leave for that same reason! I will never go in there again - unless my sales guy who had helped me tremendously over the years is back, otherwise I will spend my money elsewhere!

I cannot believe that some of these reviews are from customers who visited the same shop I did. My experience was excellent. I was looking for a WWII carbine similar to the one my dad carried in France. The staff had a nice Inland which I liked immediately. They spent 15 minutes answering my newbie questions with patience and attentiveness. Great experience!When I picked up my carbine a few days later Phil brought it out to me. I guess I seemed a tad uneasy and he spent 15 minutes showing basic firearm safety and how to operate the weapon. Then handing me the M1 had me show him what I learned. Marty hearing that I wanted the carbine as a way to connect with my late dad spent another 15 minutes showing me the nuances and characteristics of my carbine. He also recommended several books to get me more acquainted with the weapon. It was an awesome experience and so educational (I am a history buff too) I was bummed when I realized I had to leave.I was invited to go to the range with them (they go 2 times a month) and am planning on going. I had a great experience purchasing my M1 from T&T. Highly recommended.

After reading these reviews I was a little skeptical but yesterday I went in and bought myself an AR. The service was great and super friendly. They helped me out with everything. I would definitely recommend going in giving it a shot.

Based on these reviews I will shop elsewhere. I was there about 5 years ago and I see their attitude hasnt changed. I will go to store near me which has outstanding customer service!

Have not been back since. ........I went into T&T Gunnery along with other gun shops looking for a higher power rifle scope 12 to 16X. The punk kid behind the counter starts in by giving me an attitude Why in the hell would I need thatand the BS stories about how he can shoot the Buffalo off a Nickel at 3,000 yards with a basic 3 to 9X scope. Then the line of crap on how useless a scope of that power would be and how it would be a total waste of money. The bottom line is...... I know what i want...... dont treat me like a total moron just because you want me to buy something you do HAVE in stock. That was the last time for me in T&T, and that was better than ten years ago. To this day, i still hear the same old horror stories about this place.And yes, they all think there Gods gift to firearms technology and history.

I had a very positive experience. The staff and owner as well as a couple of guys hanging out were friendly and open to questions. Marty ( the owner) offered some great anecdotes about different firearms hes owned or sold which I found fun to hear. If you like military WWII, Korea, Cold War stuff you will love the place. Also looked like a good place for home defense shotguns (they had tons of them) as well as New York legal M1As, Saiga sporters, etc. plus a good pistol counter. Ill definitely go back.

Bought my first firearm from them this past weekend. The service was excellent, they offered me free lessons, assisted me with setup, provided free ammunition to get started, and were overall very polite and helpful. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to get into firearms!

Ive been here twice and will never return. The owner is extremely rude. He has a buy somthing or get out attitude. I came in to check out and potentially buy a rifle and the customer service was miserable. I was treated like I was wasting thier time. They are also very overpriced. I like to support local businesses and I dont mind paying a little more for the convenience of having it in hand that day (opposed to buying online) but they are ridiculous.

Ripped me off. Charged me 1300$ for an bushmaster lower and no name upper that has wobbled since purchase.

Its okay, Id only really recommend it for there Military surplus.(they had multiple nice laminated stock 91/30s, they had M44s/M39s, mausers, skss). Prices fluctuate from retail to absurd, specially on there ammo. 7.62x54R for close to $1/round? Insanity in my opinion when campsite in Huntington station is going for $0.30 and flying off the shelves. The one man running the register was pleasant but didnt seam very knowledgeable about his inventory, consulting a teenager with a gaming computer over questions.

I felt a disgusting attitude towards me as soon as i walked in the store. Gave me wrong information over the phone. Then in person they said they could install the night stalls and while in the middle of the purchase they changed their statement and said that they cannot install the night sights. However, what bothered me more was their condescending and disgusting attitude towards an LEO. Hope no other nypd cop goes there.

They sold me an AR that was not NY legal.When i called back the fat pos told me i was out of luck since they wont take it back.Also 5 yrs ago my dad who is retired leo,brought a nice shotgun for them to sell.2 yrs later he called to get it back because he was gonna try to sell it privately.Turns out they sold it in a week and never notified him.They sat on the money($875) for 2 plus yrs.He did get the money but their total skells there.

Ok.. Met with Rose who sold me a box of CCI Mini Mag LR .22 (100) for $15.00 When I questioned the high price, she didnt hesitate to tell me that we are the only store on Long Island that has this ammo, and we can basically do what we want. She was nice enough to offer me 5 boxes. I did buy one box, as the story of the visit to this store would at least bear some fruit and the ammo is hard to find these days. BTW.. Hunter Sports on Sunrise Hwy in Massapequa sells the exact same ammo for $10.00. I know I will never go back to this place, and my hope is that the remodeling that is going on works well for the new tenant as this place should be closed down for the price gouging that is not only in effect, but seems to be celebrated by their staff

Have not been to the shop yet so the 1 star is for the Experience at the gun show. Ive never been to a Gun Show that did not have any Pistols that were from this century....Must be a NY thing. What Bothered me the most were the bins upon bins of baseball bats with Barbed wire wrapped around the top end. What sport is played with one of these (or is that also a NY thing) I DO know that Go directly to jail do not pass go will be a part of that game. I saw a Father who bought 2 for his kids who looked like the type that bullys would target. I tried to share some facts about carrying one of those in NY will be an AUTOMATIC MENACING Felony charge for probably both Father and son. With all the negative press gun enthusiasts have gotten (and yes some rightly deserved ) these just give the anti gun people just the ammo they need to say Gun owners are by nature Violent If someone DEFENDS themselves with one of these there is no argument for weapon of opportunity (if you feel the need to carry a baseball bat in your car for protection at least carry a Mitt and ball .Out west of the Mississippi where open carry is common people dont show their weapons for intimidation or wave them around because of some phallic inadequacy but instead you have learned from being around like minded people that just because you CAN carry and just because there IS a stand your ground law does NOT mean you have no other choice. The biggest and best most valuable weapon i carry is my brain and common sense. I hope in the future the spirit of Firearm ownership will show sportsmanship and responsibility and BTW when i asked the vendor what the bats were for he replied The Zombie Apocalypse ..........Yeah thats what i thought too
