Close if you live in the Junction! Cute old style bowling alley with all the music mems from the early 2000s. Bowling is fun once in a while. It looks like they have lights for night bowling and they have decent bowling happy hour prices. The food is okay. Their fries were the best part lol. The French dip sandwiches could have more veg and a toasted bun. Decent way to spend an afternoon
Play in league here. They have the best lanes in the area for sure. Food is usually good but havent tried their new restaurant. Drinks are more than fairly priced. Love WSB!
Fun! Food looked good, drinks were available and bowling was awesome
Great staff, super fun place to bowl!!
Everything is very clean and Great food and amazing customer service all staff needs to be notified of the great skills .
I bowl in several leagues here and come here multiple times per week. The staff is fantastic - they are both nice and extremely knowledgeable. The food is also great.
Excellent service. And good food
West Seattle Bowl has many strengths and is one of my favorite bowling alleys anywhere. The old lanes have been maintained very well. The ball return and pin setters work well. There is a bar and a good restaurant and you can order from the lanes. There is a full service pro shop open during working hours. The staff is excellent. On Sun - Thurs, there are deals for cheap late night bowling if you really want to get some practice. Highly recommend if you bowl a lot.For social bowlers, there are a large selection of leagues you can join. You can reserve lane times online if you want to plan ahead on a tight schedule.
Great to see this place opening back up. Lots of great eats, and plenty of lanes to choose from.
This is the place to be, untroubled atmosphere, welcoming and cozy. It has been shown love during these trying times w all the pandemic panic. Go there and feel safe to be young at heart. Heard laughter n joviality. Pizzas coming outta the oven, libation and hint of music in the background. You feel as though you can spend the whole day n night there. Nobody going to rush you out claiming to do with covid. The pics speak for themselves. Get in on this fleeting piece of small town Americana before its too late... See u there... 😉
Rent lanes by time..good food..nice scoring screens.
A really good experience. The staff were great and supplied when we needed it. I really recommend this exquisite place.
Fantastic place. Staff is super friendly and amazing. A great place to bowl and have fun.
Sunday morning breakfast with Bloody Marys! My breakfast and get two lanes for free!
Im not an expert reviewer on bowling amenities but place was nice and staff real friendly
The lanes are spacious and the food is good. The only reason these lanes dont get five stars is because they are oily!!! The belt system doesnt support personal balls and they spin and spin. My boyfriend had to use a house ball after his ball was getting thrashed in the return. The wings were delicious, so was the burger. Deals cant be beat! Sunday night $8 cover, cheap games and beer.
Went here for a family oriented company event. It was fun and staff was friendly.
My niece placed second in the high school tournament I only go there to watch her but the establishment is nice clean family friendly and the restaurant there has the best brussel sprouts youll ever have
Great place to bowl. Good lanes, friendly employees.
We love WSB. It feels like a small town community watering hole. They know their clientele and appreciate each person. We have never had a bad night, even when our bowling was awful. Date night and family night both happen here.
They are working hard at keeping social distancing and safe protocol for bowlers and staff, in order to stay open during these crazy times. If you love bowling, and West Seattle Bowl, reserve a lane and get out there to support them!
The nicest people around. Good drinks, fast service and good food. (Never bowled, but I heat its great!)
Really fun place. Food is decent
Great hospitality, taking all the precautions for cleaning. You do have to be a club bowler but have two great option if you want to bowl. See their website for more information.
Why are you not bowling here? Friendly staff. Immaculate facilities. I feel safe and it’s clean. And the food is it’s own reason to bowl in a league.
Always a good time bowling
It was an amazing way to celebrate 🍾dad memories
I visited here with my friends. It was fun. The place was full of patrons laughing and having a good time. This is infectious and you tend to just stop thinking about other things and start to have fun too. They’ve many bowling lanes. Some can be reserved ahead of time and others are available for walk-ins. We went around 6 on a Friday evening and were able to get one for an hour immediately. The staff were courteous. Their food was surprisingly more delicious than I’d expected!I look forward to spending more evenings here with friends!
Super great place and super great time
My family and I made a reservation to bowl at West Seattle Bowl. I called ahead to make sure that they were open and that we would be able to get a lane to bowl. I was told that just to be sure they dont close early, I should make a reservation online, which I did. We got there a bit early and decided to get some food before we bowl. The food was very average, but better than most meals you would get at a bowling alley. After done eating our reservation time had come so we went to the front desk to check in and get food. We were then told that the only way we can bowl is by paying $50 to become a league bowler. This was never told to me on the phone but seemed to be some weird, messed up marketing strategy to force people into buying league memberships once they are already there. The man at the desk was very rude and more than happy to push us out the door so he could close up shop early. I always try to support my local businesses, and with the extended period they were closed and only 3 people bowling on a Friday night I assumed they needed it, but I guess not. We just moved to Seattle and I bowl quite often, but I can tell you that I will never be bowling at West Seattle Bowl
My friends and I have been bowling on various leagues here for 6 years or so now and we love it! Theyve got good food/drinks and friendly staff and we love it that you can have a game on or Music Videos on the TVs between the lanes. Also a great place to have parties!
This is my favorite bowling alley, probably because its the closest to home. Although nothing will compare to Sunset and Leilani lanes (my childhood hangout), its still got the old school vibe, good deals, good grungy atmosphere, great updated lanes. It is great for kids (bumpers on every lane), and great for adults (you can bring your beverages right down to the lanes. Good music, good food, good bathrooms, good service. It also has a pro shop in case you need some new equipment, or if your own equipment breaks down on you.
We always have a great time at West Seattle Bowl! The food is decent and the service friendly.
Great place to bowl and/or have a party. The entire staff is pleasant and will to go the extra mile to make visit enjoyable. Up to date technology and equipment. Food and drinks are excellent!
Always clean and friendly staff. Great place to bowl. On Sunday mornings if you have breakfast you get two free games so that is my go to day and time.
We came here for a quick get together with some friends to play a few rounds over drinks. Exactly what we came for and expected. It can be a bit noisy with several childrens groups nearby, but was not am issue for us. Overall a fun time.
Went for the Xtracted Labs & Royal Tree Gardens Pack The Bowl event and it was fun. Good drinks, great people and of course the bowling which was different because they put on black lights and have some interactive effects projected onto the lanes to entertain you as your ball heads for the pins which i kinda liked. Overall seemed like a good place to hang out.
Bowling was awesome and the service was on point.
I know the owner, used to own robin hood. It’s a great center, nice lanes, even during open bowl there’s oil. It’s a bit weird getting used to the lack of a step up on to the approach but that’s not a big deal. It was a little warm but that was probably just me. Parking is fine, laze people may complain about having to walk, but there’s no issue, especially with the loading zone for bowling equipment. West Seattle is a good center.
This place is sweet. The food and drinks are cheap and tasty, and the staff is really friendly. Cool events / deals usually happening, too.
Theyre experimenting with some new bowling alleys which are interactive - and these are amazing..Its apparently also called immersive bowling, it is AI-driven with responsive projection mapping. You just have to get there and play on these, changes the experience entirely. We got it for the same price as the regular bowling alleys because of some experimentation promotion, but otherwise there will be a ~$10 difference in pricing. The food quantity is extra large and very filling.Ambience of course convinces your mind to always stay over for an extra game or two.
Old-timey (70 years old) neighborhood alley with completely modern facilities and a cozy feel. Super friendly staff. Will definitely return.
Great bowling center. Stays busy during the winter. Lots of bowling league opportunities and open play times which are by the hour instead of by game. Theyve kept their location up with modernization, putting in new automatic scoring and then this summer put in all brand new pinsetters and new modern and tasteful masking units. The staff and owners are wonderful. A great choice to go bowling as well as to eat with their attached High Strike Grill.
I love the Saturday brunch with two free games deal but the staff in the bowling center didnt seem to know what they were doing when things werent working right. Had to ask them 4 times to reset the pins once when it was malfunctioning and they still didnt do it. Still had a fun time. Good food as well.
The service on a busy Saturday night was fast, accurate and pleasant. Really nice staff, and they went out of their way to make us feel welcome! I had the Guinness burger, which was good, though I didnt get much flavor from the smoked gouda. My wife got the grilled cheese and added avocado. It was perfectly comforting.
Great deals and promotions thru out the week. Food is fantastic. Sunday specials and kids menu. Customer service is very nice. They deserve more than five stars here and after you been a few times, youll agree. Best yet.
Great, friendly and clean bowling alley! Super LGBT Friendly and always a good time!
John was really helpful downstairs in the retail/service shop.He dialed in my ball and gave me a few pointers too!I have eaten and bowled here too- fun friendly place!☮️
Great experience through and through. Love the ability to reserve lanes online - so cool! Made for a painless birthday planning for our large party in Seattle. Great beer selection as well and delicious nachos. Will go back should we ever need another fun activity for a big group. Place was packed on a Saturday - obviously a community favorite.
Went out for a company celebration. We had a great time. It was clean and the crew were great! It was busy but was expected since it was Saturday. Would suggest calling ahead to reserve lanes.
Great spot for bowling. Really like that they let your reserve lanes ahead of time, its a busy place so almost seems necessary.
My husband and I have been in bowling leagues for the last five years and we love West Seattle Bowl. Great food, friendly staff, and fun getting to know the other bowlers. I’ve also had a handful of events including: client appreciation, Susan G Komen fundraising, and several birthdays. I really enjoy the music videos & fun atmosphere. Favorite dishes are quesadilla, chicken strips and sweet potato fries, and the rotating monthly specials/Fresh Sheet.
Good food. Solid service. Questionable bathrooms.Bartender is friendly and makes great drinks.
First time here in awhile, came on a Tuesday and it was busy because it was a league night. Bowling was fun but only three stars cause of the kitchen. Firstly it took more than 25min for fish and chips, got them literally a few minutes before we left and the fish was burnt. I ate it still cause I was starving, but cmon! How could anyone let burnt fish leave a kitchen, have some dignity.
This place is awesome. Friendly staff, good food, lots of beers and strong drinks. There are 32 lanes at great prices. There are nightly themes and specials so call or check online. They host league play which is a lot of fun. Its just a great place to escape and have fun. Theres some angled parking on the street outside but no designated parking lot. Parking is limited but there is free off street parking around the area.
Had our company meeting and party here, and we were so pleased. Jeff helped us coordinate the details, very friendly. Phoebe was our server at Highstrike, thoroughly pleasant and helpful. We had catered food and lanes reserved, food was hot and ready on time, bowling staff were great, everything was executed perfectly. Highly recommend for group parties.
2021 Update: STILL AWESOME! They have worked so hard to implement social distancing, masks and sanitizing stations. It felt like a very, VERY clean and super safe outing. Plus you have a whole booth/table area to yourself which is double cool. Make an appointment today!! (:Great service and better food! We go to this bowling alley regularly with the kids bowl free app and its always a super fun, easy outing. Thanks west seattle bowl!!
The place is so clean, great food, amazing staff.I personally like that if you get breakfast on Sunday morning you get two free games!
Its a bowling Alley. Nothing really special. Good place to hang out for parties, or with family and friends. Parking can be and was an issue for the gathering I went to. Food and drinks were average. The staff was nice.
This is a fun little bowling alley. Friendly staff, cool new bowling games. Plenty of light weight balls. Reasonably priced.
Best bowling alley in Washington State!! Owner knows bowling and has the best leagues in the Puget Sound.
Had a fun night with a few friends here. Bowling was fairly inexpensive and it’s a nice place inside. I’m not a fan of bowling but it was a fun time
Could use a renovation and one of the employees just assumed that I(a wheelchair user) wanted the ramp. No matter how many times moved it out of the way he moved it back. I get he was trying to be helpful but if I didnt ask for it, its because I didnt want it.
For obvious reasons this places feels more like a true bowling alley, especially when compared to the more Seattle central The Garage. This bowling alley truly does it for me though. A sense of seriousness and true alley identity. Plus the bar has great drink specials and the homemade honey mustard is to die for. For a true bowler, this is the place to go.
The drinks are great. They have the best bowling! 75cents a game! Its busy but thats what makes it fun! They bartenders are friendly and fast. Good selection of alcohol for those who can par take. Parking sucks but thats nothing against them. All in all great experience.
Very fun place, great atmosphere, food is super, you have any concerns go Mike gupps, hell take care of you. Plus he will, even give you a tip on bowling, if you ask. They also have great specials.
Homely bowling alley that feels like youll have a John Tutturo Jesus character or The Dude sighting at any moment. The service is good. Strong league programs and really tasty food. The accompanying restaurant does a good job, and the beer is flowing freely.
Professional lanes and affordable weekday bowling deals. Easy to find and even better to pay at
Best bowling alley in Seattle by far. Tons of lanes, lot of league options, good food from the attached restaurant. Staff is always friendly, good deals on different days of the week that are super cheap. Has a small bowling shop that drills and cleans balls for you.
What a great place to have a party! The food was excellent and the staff friendly. Cant wait to go back.
West Seattle bowl is an amazing pillar of the community. The business is owned by some upstanding guys who know how to run a business and give back to the community. They recently upgrading their pinsetters and wow they are fast! Try the highstrike burger in their restaurant. Its delicious.
Family friendly bowling at reasonable prices. Friendly staff. Food servings are mostly family size. Parking can be challenging however - free street parking only.
I lived next door at Spruce for a year. The bowling alley is fine, except for the greasy holes in their bowling balls. Good beer, reasonably priced.I saw people stumbling out of this building. They over serve alcohol to people. One morning I came outside to find a bowling ball-shaped smash in my car windshield parked outside. Their drunk patrons are also obnoxious. I think they are a bad neighbor. I dont live next door anymore.
They took great care of us during our team bonding for our oeganization. There were about 12 or so of us and everything went so smooth! The online registration was easy. The gentlemen working the counter and food window were friendly and accommodating. The food was good, a great price and quick. Overall, had a wonderful time and will definitely be back to W. Seattle Bowl for future work and personal parties and events. Thanks for a great day of bowling!
Decent place and the kids loved it. We had a family get together here. We reserved 3 lanes. Upon check in they had everything ready to go. They even put our name up on the screens. Lots of food and beer options. A little dated, could use a face-lift.
Quaint and simple, reminded me of bowling alleys as they were meant to be. I LOVED that they offered Ghost Fish beer!
A great place with excellent staff. Always have the best time here!
I loved bowling here! Up to date technology, ship shape lanes, and great costumer service. A bonus is that the food is really good!
The lanes are smooth the equipment is updated. Great bowling alley.
Such a fun spot. Really nice to go to a place thats so historic and unpretentious. Also they serve Brussel sprouts! And pizza. Something for everyone
Had a really good time here. Staff is great.
Coolest bowling alley ever. You can control bumpers per player and set custom animations for strikes, gutter balls, etc. Clean and simple computers for the lanes. Thanks for hosting us.
One of the few places left to bowl in Seattle with a decent number of lanes. It has an old school feel with modern automated scoring. Also, decent food and drinks.
Great place for family bowling. Must try the Cajun salmon sandwich. Delicious!
One of the few bowling alleys left without a casino. Knowledgeable staff and great setup. Late night happy hours to draw in the college students that vary by weeknight. High quality bowling equipment and Lanes
Probably one of the best bowling alleys in Seattle. Definitely the best one in the west Seattle area. The lanes are nice and clean and feel very state of the art. Food and drinks here are what you would expect form a bowling alley. Typical pub fare with a full bar and some beer on tap. Only downside to this place is that all they have is bowling. Most bowling alleys Ive been to have at least a pool table or a dart board. This place is only focused on bowling and rightly so.
An excellent diner with classic dinner food. They do make a strong effort to accommodate vegans and there are many options on the menu. The food was excellent, and the service was also very prompt.
They allowed us to bowl on a busy day with a last-minute show-up. The food was yummy and the ambiance was great!
Sept 21 2019 update: bowling alley has drastically improved, however the in-house restaurant service is deplorable. Its always been kind of a pain to get food here, but the guy working this morning was a complete creep. He berated me for not knowing what time lunch was available for ordering, and was so completely sarcastic and rude that I left without ordering before he could spit in my food. I also saw him sneeze on the clean glasses behind the counter.Bottom line, bowling alley is good but by all means stay away from the rude and unsanitary in-house restaurant with bitter employees.Decent bowling alley, but could use some improvement. The house balls are in poor condition and the lanes dont seem exactly level. Also, parking around here can be a challenge.
Good equipment and decent food. We were a party of 12, played a total of 6 games on 2 lushness and offered food, it came to $100 including shoe rentals. Quite economical!
