Amazing customer service and quality produce. If there is ever an issue they are quick to correct it and give credits if something is sub par(albeit seldom an issue). Very accommodating crew!! Cant praise enough.
Great variety of local organic produce including stuff you cant find at the grocery. Its nice that you can fully select what you want to get in each delivery. Theyre on the expensive side and just instituted a $40 minimum for free delivery, which is steep for small households.
PCH is awesome! They are super accommodating. On the occasion when I have received a bad item, they are always happy to reimburse.
Ive been ordering vegetables and fruits from PCH for a year now. I dont know how I would have gotten through the pandemic without them! Some things I love about them in particular: the variety of foods they have (which changes weekly), a lot of their produce is local and no CSA box subscription required, the information they provide about the farms so you know where your food comes from, their selection beyond produce includes essential pantry items, their COVID-safe no contact delivery, and to top it off, the communication from staff has been beyond awesome. I dont think Ill be going back to grocery store produce anytime soon.
Pacific Coast Harvest was a great CSA alternative for us! I am only cancelling my membership because we are moving to a different state. Remember, this produce is coming from farms not the grocery store, so it is expected that some items will be bruised or a little more dirty than you are used to - this is the beauty of eating local in my opinion! I tried so many local items I would have otherwise not tried if not for PCH. The team is super responsive and refunded me immediately if any item was missing from my box. Highly recommend PCH!
2 stars are for the delivery, nice and on time. Was our first and last time trying this company. Missing carrots and no response when notifying company, celery, was not expecting 7 big old celery stalks really disappointed, beets no flavor, spinach old and tough, red pepper no flavor. Shiitakes were good. Fred Meyer has much better everything.
I’ve been receiving my PCH box since November of last year (2017).I’ve discovered more new vegetables through my PCH box than in my entire adult life. If you’re wondering if it’s worth it. YES it is. There’s definitely a psychology to having vegetables delivered stork style as opposed to going out and buying them yourself. It feels like a gift and therefore must be used. A few reasons I’d give this particular company a try:I grew up near one of the local farms on the Olympic Peninsula and their vegetable ties show up in my box almost every week. I know where my stuff is coming from. No funny business. Side note- we dont grow enough year-round in the PNW (and some things we just cant) so inevitably some of the produce comes from out of state but it seems like they try to get what they can, when they can, from around here. They don’t go through and remove the “uglies” like the grocers do (waste!) so one or two asymmetrical characters have made it into my box, mostly the local stuff. Sure some things must be eaten before others- local doesn’t mean picked yesterday. That’s the nature of growing food in a climate like ours. But for the most part, the produce is bright, lively and bursting with flavor and I’ve been happy with the variety to choose from every week (you can also default to a pre-set box if you just want to be straight up surprised).A huge pro to this company is they are still fairly small and the owner runs the majority of the operations. If I have an issue, I let them know. They seem appreciative and make it right.
Im on my 4th week with PCH and Im beyond impressed with the service! I was looking for a CSA-type box that I could fully customize which is hard to find in this area. Getting PCH has essentially replaced 70% of my weekly grocery shopping, and Ive been really impressed with their pantry items which has cut down on my need for the grocery store even more. Every week I get to try a new variety Ive never heard of and its exciting to learn to cook new-to-me herbs and vegetables. Last, I love their weekly receipt that details where all your items came from and how to store them properly. Im hooked.
Really like the fact is flexible and easy to update his order through the website. I am 100% with the concept, more local, less travel and intermediaries. Thanks!
Thee best. They have great customer service; only once in the last year of deliveries did I get 1 whole item and they caught the error immediately by following up in an email, and comp’d the item. Plus, they include a sweet mini newsletter about the farmers they work with, or about the featured items. It’s my sole food proprietor.
Super easy to place your order, great options (and so many of them Washington grown!), and pain-free delivery! I love eating fresh produce, it makes up a great deal of my diet, and I love that I can get quality fruits and veggies from my own “backyard”! (And let’s face it, I’m super busy and so the convenience of placing my weekly order online is a life-saver!) Highly recommend!
I have been a Pacific Coast Harvest client for years. They are a fantastic, LOCAL, small business, and have added so many terrific, new upgrades since owner Chris took over. Not only can you get local, organic vegetables and fruit, but now you can add local cheese, butter, eggs, jam, dried fruit, etc. to your delivery! They also just added the tastiest, exotic mushrooms - also local! You can now customize every delivery so if you want, you can choose every item you will receive, and they also greatly expanded the selection of vegetables and fruit you can choose from. All fantastic upgrades added by the new owner!Their customer service is the best ever - very prompt and personalized. Owner Chris writes you himself! Chris and his team really care about their clients’ satisfaction, and will do whatever it takes to promptly fix any issue or concern. They take pride in the quality of their products, and are truly committed to supporting our local farms and community. I wish every company were run this way. I can’t recommend PCH enough. Cudos to owner Chris and his team!
I really enjoyed their veg delivery service for a few months, but it became more and more obvious that the food I was receiving was just not very fresh. Although the options and the convenience were great, my main purpose of ordering through a CSA-like service was to try to get the freshest food possible with the best deals for the farmers. Unfortunately, the spinach started showing up with black bits all around the leaves, the apples were always mushy, the pears never tasted right, even when ripe, etc. It just wasnt worth it anymore for me to sacrifice quality and freshness for the convenience.
Ive been getting weekly deliveries from Pacific Coast Harvest since February and its been AMAZING. Not only am I eating well--in terms of health, flavor, and variety--but Im SPENDING LESS MONEY than I was going to the grocery store. I can be more thoughtful in terms of how I buy food and its encouraged me to use up what I have in the pantry, eat more sustainably (and LOCALLY!), and create less waste. The produce is also ALWAYS amazing (those yellow goose plums! the red leaf lettuce! the purple radishes! all insane) and I love that Im eating seasonally and truly cherishing the best of each season while also getting control over the quantity and variety of what Im getting. Each week, I try to pick something Ive never cooked with/eaten before alongside my standards and Ive prepared SO many new things this summer--from patty pan squash and squash blossoms to garlic scapes, sunchokes, and lemon cucumbers. I also love the list they include with each drop off where I learn about each farm that each item comes from. And the staff! Kailyn is our driver and I look forward to chatting with her each Wednesday. Im planning on being a LONGTIME customer. Makes me love living in the Pacific Northwest that much more.
I heart PCH :) I appreciate that they are so sustainable, offering local, seasonal, organic produce delivery right to my door. Almost every detail, right down to the reusable fabric tote, is compostable or recyclable. Yes, the prices are higher than competitors like Imperfect, but I appreciate this organizations environmental mission (hello, Imperfect, with your single-use cardboard box and plastic on plastic) and I still give them five stars for excellent produce and the amazing customer service, including a great website! Always prompt, always ready to work with me, always courteous, always delicious. Pro tip: treat yourself to the dairy and eggs, some of the best butter Ive ever had!
PCH has the best customer service! They are always very helpful and responsive.I love getting my custom veggie box delivered each week - so much more fun than grocery shopping. And it supports local business!
There are so many options out there these days for getting fresh produce delivered to your doorstep, and I am familiar with several of them through direct experience and secondhand accounts from friends and family.Pacific Coast Harvest stands apart with their unfailing and transparent commitment to Washington farmers. Chris and his team have worked extremely hard to make sure customers have as much information as possible about the farmers that grow the produce in each weeks order, and their service is definitely the best option on the market for those who care about eating local. You can still get your fix of bananas and avocados and other non-local items, but PCH is transparent there as well, even providing info about those farmers from farther away. The best part about being a PCH customer is that the operation is small, and if you ever have a question or issue, you will speak directly to Chris, the owner, who so clearly cares for his customers satisfaction, as opposed to a computer or customer service person within a giant company like some of the other services out there. You feel like youre part of community of folks eating well and supporting local. You cant go wrong.
Ive been using PCH for probably a couple years now, and enjoy the convenience of the delivery at my door, the quality of the produce (veggies and fruits for me - yeah, not always perfect, but never a total bust), and the flexibility (customizing my box, suspending delivery when needed.) Excellent customer service, all enquiries are handled quickly and efficiently, always with a smile (OK, Ive only emailed them, so Im imagining the smile - but Im sure its there. :-)And as was noted previously, i find that i eat a lot more healthier/cheaper home-made meals when my fridge and pantry are full of convenient produce. :-) And Ive discovered some new-to-me veggies. Thanks!
Its great not having to worry about groceries and I love coming home to a fresh box of produce every week.Ive been using PCH for over 6 months now and Ive eaten SOOO much more fruit and veggies as a result!
