Salmon is relatively fresh. Cooled. Texture is soft. Fair seasoning on the Aioli salmon. 3Rice is cooked to where its sticky and clumped together.Service was a friendly greet and serve. 21.5$
Not sure if this is cheating because my review isn’t really about the poke. I went in to try the Dole Whip Soft Serve and that’s all I got. It was Incredible! 5/5 or more! One of those “first mouthful has you captured” type of desserts. It’s essentially a pineapple flavored soft serve available in two sizes - I got the smaller one - and it was soft, flavorful and super-chill - exactly the way you want it on a hot day! They had the option of sprinkling a flavoring powder and adding a salted-plum sauce. I paid for the sauce & powder ($0.50), but got mine plain to start with. Loved it the way it was and then, about half way into it, I decided to get some of the powder and sauce added - that saltiness I was not a fan of, but if my wife tried it she would probably be a fan of it. I went back to eating the rest of it just plain and savoring every bite of its refreshingly-pineapply goodness! Also posting pics of some of street artwork (kau kau) that add some color and pizzazz to the place.
This was a weird experience. Firstly, it was very warm inside - much warmer than outside - which is not ideal for a business selling raw fish. There were only a few topping options and no sauces were offered to ya. The tofu was salty.
Not many toppings and the ahi seemed a bit slimy for my taste. Apparently the salmon was good. Not my favorite place for poke but the stars are because the staff was nice and the place is very clean.
In all honesty, the best poke is still on Oahu but goPoke will be my go-to here in Seattle because fish is a-fresh and the service!! Oh, the service...everyone is so friendly here and always ready to help. They offered samples without even asking and when it was busy, they were quick to wipe down tables that just left so we can dine in a clean area. It was a bit pricey for what it is but they gave lots of food! I recommend the Dole whip for dessert, too!
Incredibly friendly staff! So nice and gave a great breakdown of their setup and made us feel so welcome. They do have tofu for vegetarians/vegans, however it was unfortunately raw, uncooked tofu and does not come in a sauce like the poke meats.
We were in the area for the Chinatown seafair parade, they had great reviews on yelp and it didnt disappoint. We got the large poke bawl, with two kinds of tuna. The one with the mango sauce was really good (this is coming from someone who generally does not like seafood and fish). They also let you sample.Prices were reasonable too.Tip:The restaurant has big windows and you can see the street from most tables so you can sit, eat and watch the parade.
Former Chinese corner store from the 40s has been transformed into a bright, energetic little piece of hip Hawaii. 4 set bowls with 3 types of poke ($15) or build your own bowls. Greeted with an aloha and great service throughout the meal, for example once I told them we were done with our lunch they walked our dessert over. Dole Whip is available too (I liked mine plain more than the float style). Super busy with line out the door, go early, but never had a problem finding a seat.
Finally an amazing poke place! Granted it was grand opening so it was packed but the poke was worth it. I ordered the 12th man, just for fun, and now I know what to order to maximize what I like (no ginger, for example, cuz they give so much!). Their pineapple dole dessert thing was also super good, with salted plums as a topping. I would definitely come here again, or even weekly, if I can.
Absolutely the best poke I’ve had off island. Feels like being home. The Pokerito was a blast, spring mix was slime free for my bowl, all the fish was perfection (mango salmon and spicy chili tako are the standouts for me, but all were superbly fresh and perfectly marinated). Do not pass up the dole whip and Hawaiian frost (try the swirl) as well as the spectacular house POG (passion fruit/orange/guava juice, for my haoles). Ate too fast for pics, but it was all gorgeous. ;)
Went here last night for the 1st time with a few friends my wife and I. Heard lots of good praises and we sure were not disappointed. 1st of all the service was top notch, we didnt know what the process was but we were greeted with an amazing personality, welcoming spirit and the clarification necessary to proceed with the process of ordering. We were even allowed to test the mixes prior to making our choices. Making a sushirito or a bowl was simple. The flavors were amazing and the sides gave it the necessary mix of flavors to a change in the flavor profile. The tuna and the salmon was flavorful, plenty and fresh. Try the desserts, the mochi was delicious and delicate in flavor and the Dole Whips were the best thing to finish the meal off with the mix of sour and sweet. This will surely be a go to spot for us to bring friends, relatives and friends. We loved the wonderful family environment, the owners were there mingleing and swapping stories and you know their passion for the business flows through their food. True Hawaiian blood, mixed with their warm hearts and open hands were a great addition to my food spots to recommend.
I liked the fact that they had non mayonnaise option. I chose classic tuna and Tako and they were good, not too salty. Topping selection was pretty good. They charge extra for a whole bunch of stuffs than other places.Price was so so. Slightly more than other poke places. Street parking only. You can eat in.
In the midst of Seattles poke craze, goPoké is winning customers over with consistent food and outstanding service.Food: To be fair, goPoké isnt trying to re-invent the wheel here. The variety of fish is by no means original, but it is always very fresh, balanced and tasty. Samples are available if you are unsure of what to pick. If you have a sweet tooth, save room for the Dole Whip, a creamy pineapple treat made famous at Disneyland.Ambience: Bright and clean, with a nice view of Hing Hay Park. The green chairs and wooden tables are a nice touch. Noise level is quite decent even when full, with pop music and top 40 hits playing.Price: Competitive with most poke places in Seattle. Pricier toppings such as macadamia nuts and avocado cost extra.Service: By far and away some of the best in Seattle! Expect to be greeted at the door, asked about your satisfaction with the meal, and offered help with sorting your trash/compostables. Ive never seen a frown here.
Good poke, at a reasonable price. My favorite thing about GoPoke is the selection, they have 13 different poke that you can choose between, which runs the gamut between sweet and spicy. They say that all of the different selections are also imported daily from Hawaii except the Salmon, which is locally caught. I ordered the GoPoke Spicy Ahi, which had a decent kick but not the most flavorful Poke Ive had. If youre craving Poke and are in the area, you could do much worse than goPoke.
Seattle has had an explosion of poké restaurants but goPoké is my favorite! The staff is super friendly, their ingredients are incredibly fresh, the selection and customization means that you can have a different, but still delicious, poké experience every time you go there. Make sure you save room for dole whip!
So good best poke in seattle.
The poké was so fresh and the service was outstanding! Everyone working there was super helpful, they definitely went above and beyond. Christy especially made our visit there enjoyable and more fun for our little niece! Thank you for such a nice experience! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone around the area.
Fantastic fish. Great poke place and service, but the quality of fish is what stands out.
Seen this place in Chinatown and just had to try it. The selection of poke is alright but Id rather not have mine soaked in sauces premade. The veggie selection was small. Honestly i just wanted a bowl of spicy tuna, rice, and some spicy mayo. It just didnt turn out they way i liked it but my hubby ABSOLUTELY LOOOVED IT. might come here again for him. But thats the only way
The poke here is phenomenal. They have a great selection of different poke flavors that are pre-marinated. The fish is also incredibly fresh and smooth. They definitely dont skimp on the toppings either, offering wakame, fish roe, crab salad, and others for free. However, the variety of toppings was a bit limited. The price is a bit on the higher side, but certainly worth the splurge.
I eat here regularly - prices are good, the food is great, and the service is superb.
Kind of pricey with not much add-ons to a poke bowl.
I come here regularly for lunch. I like this place more than other places because they make a more complete meal of it with all the toppings.I typically get the shoyu shaka ahi or the classic salmon. They have a number of mayo based poke if youre into that. I only wish they had a oyster sauce based one.You can request both krab salads if youre a fan. I always do
I got food poisoning. That is all.
Good portion. Good salmon poke. Toppings selection is very limited.
Don’t really get why it’s rated so well. Kinda skimpy on the sides and toppings, sauces and marinade didn’t taste like much, they didn’t have brown rice either and didn’t give much rice. The white rice was a little over cooked. Guess I’ll try again later.
They dont charge for the side items and you can get three proteins on your bowl for $15. Great deal!
This place is very close to my office, and I am glad it is. Its also my favorite poke restaurant regardless of location (except Hawaii). I prefer the poke that has been marinated in the sauce as opposed to the kind where the sauce is added at the time of order.goPoke is fast and convenient. It has a good amount of space for dining in, and they have high quality disposable bowls and utensils. Not that those things matter so much for ones culinary enjoyment, but I think it is indicative of this restaurants commitment to quality.
This place is always fresh and on point with the toppings. I also love the masubi and desserts.
Friendly and helpful staff. Spacious seating. Clean and tidy. Fresh Tuna from Hawaii and fresh local salmon; large pieces. Generous samples for first timers. Not as many toppings to choose from compared to other Poke places but very worth it for the freshest tasting and well seasoned extra chunky fish.
Have been coming here for some time. Their fish is consistently delicious- fresh and well flavored. Their staff is among some of the friendliest. Glad to have this poke joint!
Great poke and drink options! Love the mango salmon here
Best poke in the city, by far
Wish I would have taken a photo of the bowl I got. It looked just like the menu! Personally I cant rave about all of the flavors, but they do give you samples so that helped tremendously. I recommend a combo or building your own to get the best value and most variety. Long story short: I enjoyed it!
We have been coming here since Go Poke first opened, never been disappointed! Definitely one of Seattles most delicious restaurants. Im very particular with my raw fish, and Go Poke always provides the most fresh and delicious. Staff is friendly and If youre lucky theyll offer you complimentary miso soup ;) We love their prices, and the service is always wonderful!
Best Poke spot hands down. I would drive all way from Canada for this place.
Great flavors of poke to choose room. Although we came towards closing they were happy to get us some more of the flavors they had run out. The shave ice is also really delicious. Price is higher than others but getting quality at the same time. Definitely coming back to try more.
Im so happy they are back open in the ID! No seating (of course) but you can pick up to go!! Help support this great spot.
As soon as I mentioned being GLUTEN FREE, I was offered a gluten free bowl. I always appreciate when staff is trained and ready. Fish was fresh and delicious.
Best poke in town. Glad that this location reopened!
Best Poke I’ve had in Seattle. Fish is fresh! You can tell it’s fresh by the texture and goPoke has it all! It’s delicious! Highly recommend
Very friendly service. The fish always seems fresh and they have lots of sides. Prices are reasonable, especially for poke. Great people watching spot.
Generous seating and I like the laid back atmosphere in general here. Staff was friendly and they offer samples so you know what youre getting. Fish seemed fresh, and the serving sizes were more than fair for the price it was going for. I have a big appetite and this definitely hit the spot.Perfect place to grab a healthy/filling meal before you head back out into the city.Fyi theres no public bathroom here.
GoPoke is simple, high quality poke. Quick and friendly service. Ive eaten here many times; this place is reliably delicious. They also have excellent gluten-free options.
This was a fun stop. Interesting variety of poke. The server was really helpful and provided good suggestions. Will return.
Such great customer service! Got to try a few of the marinated fish before purchasing. The ingredients taste fresh and apparently they’re flown in from Hawaii everyday. The devil is in the details! Definitely coming back again the next time I’m in town.
The place is very warm and inviting. The workers are sweet and very welcoming. Food is great dessert is even better if you get the spicy flavor fish, the dole whip float is a very good palate cleanser. You cant go wrong with their dessert. You also get a side of warm soup. I wish there was one down south!!!
This is the best poke place! The salmon is always fresh and tasty and the customer service is amazing. Absolutely my favorite poke place.
Absolutely love this place! Ive tried many poke places and this one is far superior. Ive been almost exclusively going to GoPoke since they first opened. They superb quality has not once faltered. The staff is nice, the establishment clean, and the poke is the freshest! If I could give more than 5 stars I would.
The poke is really good with decently sized portions for the price. The desserts are all tasty. But probably the best part about this place is how helpful and accommodating the staff are. Theyre crazy nice and really make you feel welcome. Beware though, this place has been ridiculously busy every time Ive gone.
Great Poke! Fun atmosphere! A slice of Hawaii in Seattle! The sun is always shining in this place no matter the weather outside!
A very subway style of getting your poke. Start off with your type of meal (bowl or pokeritta, for example) then add things to suit your style. Very fresh and tasty. Unlike most fast food places this place has adult beverages (beer). Overall a great Seattle place to grab a quick, healthy and tasty meal.
I loved the customer service. The girls and the one guy inside were very nice and welcoming. We know a lot about poke and raw fish, and the quality of the fish was great! They let us sample any poke we liked, and very informational too. I intentionally went for the dole whip float, but I cant help but get poke too! AMAZING PLACE! LOVE THE SERVICE LOVED THE ATMOSPHERE! LOVE THE FOOD QUALITY! LOVED THE PRICES! DEFINITELY MY NEW FAV PLACE!
Nothing short of amazing! Food quality is excellent. Very fresh! Service is fast and super friendly! The pineapple ice cream is the icing on the cake. Cant go wrong.
Very nice staff! Poke and toke (tofu poke) were delicious. Used the AllSet site for a discount on first trip.
I like this place, poke is always fresh with good flavor. Portions are ok, and service is good. However, toppings are limited-not a big deal as the rice and fish is the star but I hate the nickel and diming with the toppings. $0.50 for a tablespoon of diced jalapenos?? absolutely miserly. come on guys, do better!
Really good food. I split a super sized bowl with my significant other and it was plenty for both of us making it one if the cheaper options for us to eat at. The staff was really friendly too.
Great spot for an excellent lunch. Tables are spaced enough comfortably sit among friends and enjoy your meal. I gave it 4 stars because it does seem to be pretty spendy for what is essentially a bowl of rice and fish, but an excellent one.
My first time trying Poke and although I was skeptical, I really liked it.The mango salmon was really good, fresh avocado was tasty, loved the cucumbers (lightly pickled), all yumm. The best thing was the great service, theres people making sure you have enough water, your empty bowls are put away, etc... which is expected in a formal restaurant but this is more like a pick, pay, grab, eat and go kind of place.Nice nice
If you love sushi. Then you will Love Poke. Its so tasty and super. Fresh tasting. Going. To. Cost you about 16$ before tip. But its very healthy. Not something I would. Buy every day but definitely a good place to go if you wanna be good and eat delicious and healthy food
