It’s an important place.The best part? Husky isn’t a business content with coasting on its legacy. The ice cream is legitimately world class, the deli sandwiches are prepared fresh with care & quality ingredients, and the confections + specialty grocery wall is always filled with new surprises. This is a business that’s ran with love, pride, and respect for the community it serves. Service isn’t slow nor quick - it’s intentional & thoughtful. Good things take time, and good things last. Husky is a very eclectic shop in the junction in West Seattle. Worth a visit if you are looking for some lunch, deli meats, ice cream, candy or other things. The staff here is super friendly and always having fun which makes the environment much more welcoming. They have a huge menu of sandwiches, the 12th Man is pretty much the best sandwich. Prices are bit high on the ice cream, but they make it themselves so its from scratch and delicious.

Husky Deli is a great local spot in West Seattle. Every time I go in, the staff is so nice and friendly.I have had a few of their sandwiches and they are always tasty. I also love their milkshakes. I have tried the Oreo coffee flavor milkshake as well as the chocolate flavored milkshake and they are both thick, creamy and delicious. Their ice cream is really good as well.I will say that on weekends they are typically busy but what business isn’t at the Alaska Junction on a weekend? I definitely recommend trying Husky Deli and we will definitely be back!

One of my favorite local Deli s in all of Seattle. When I visit West Seattle Junction area. I always go in and order either ham and swiss on light rye, or turkey breast on sourdough sandwich. Finish it off with one of there wonderful in house made ice cream in plain cone. It is a family owned business three generations. A vital part of West Seattle Junction. Must visit again soon. 🍞🍦

If you dont make a stop at Husky deli youre missing out! They have some of the best sandwiches, cheeses, wines in West Seattle. And the ice cream is oh so delicious. My favorite flavor is and always will be there Root beer. So so good.

I visited Husky Deli on a quiet Sunday morning and I was impressed with the selection and service. The space has a lot of things to choose from. It’s almost overwhelming seeing all of the different things in the store. As you enter there are a bunch of ice creams to choose from. There is a deli counter on the right where you can order cuts of meat or meals. There are chocolates and candies to choose from in other cases too. Throughout the store there are a lot of European foods to buy. A kind employee asked if we needed any help finding anything and while we didn’t at the time, she exuded kindness and hospitality. While I didn’t buy any of the foods on the shelves, I got an ice cream cone with a scoop of Raspberry Decadence – chocolate ice cream with raspberry ribbons. The ice cream was sumptuous and delicious. Husky Deli a West Seattle institution and I hope to return.

I stopped by Husky Deli and ordered the Grilled Londons Burning sandwich. While I waited, I looked around at the unique food items and teas. They have an amazing selection of tea. The sandwich is an amazing combination of flavors and is unbelievably delicious. I will be returning. They are a small, family-owned store with very good customer service.

What a great local place. We just got our vaccines and here comes a guy from Husky with a voucher for ice cream. We already enjoy stopping by this old time store, and now have even more reason to. Just a feel good place - at a time when we could all use a little feeling good!

So good! We stopped in for sandwiches. I got the ultimatr vegetarian and he got the chicken avocado. We could not belive how good they were. The veggie sandwich was the winner of the day though! Yumm!!

A lot of restaurants havent felt worth the hassle of going out lately what with covid regulations, but this is one of those places thats always an awesome experience - despite all the precautions being taken, the employees have been the nicest, the milkshakes are amazing, the prices are reasonable and the sandwiches are huge! Now that things are opening up again, its a nice simple spot to hang out and eat inside.

I almost always get a Navigator on a wrap, add avocado. Its delicious, made with eggs, smoked mozz, capicola, tomatoes, onions... And comes grilled to perfection every time.Husky is simply the best, and a must try when visiting West Seattle.

Cool little deli with lots of different sandwiches and a variety of European snacks and sauces (think Barrys tea, Cadbury hot chocolate and fingers, lots of different preserves and cool horseradishes and mustards), plus they have about 20 different ice creams and lots of different candies. It was fun to be able to walk around and there were a lot of people getting ice cream...still required to wear mask, just so you know.

Great meats! This is where I go to get my spicy landjaeger and other deli meats too. The young kids working here are always really helpful and quick. Definitely a West Seattle landmark on California.

Fun local spot to grab a sandwich and some ice cream. While the sandwiches are good theyre not anything amazing, the handful i have tried dont have much flavor. The ice cream has lots of great flavors to choose from but is not the right consistency for my personal taste.

Great sandwiches, though we’ve only tried a limited sample of the extensive menu. We’re stuck on the Chicken Pesto and Southwest Chicken and it’s been hard to branch from those two as they are very solid choices. Have yet to try ice cream but definitely on the to-do list. Be warned that they are pretty busy throughout the day pretty much every day and depending on what you order, you may have to stand outside for awhile waiting (per their COVID protocol).

This place gets my vote for “most mediocre sandwich in Seattle” - congrats!

Great ice cream! Still the best ice cream in West Seattle! They always have a long line on a sunny day but the kids that work there are always working hard and do a great job. I have never had poor service at Huskies!

We have walked by this deli so many times but never checked it out. My boyfriend finally decided to get a sandwich here a few weeks ago and he was not disappointed. He got their cuban (only offered during the weekend) and he LOVED it. So last weekend we stopped by for him to get the cuban again and i got a Turkey Reuben. It had a little too much sauerkraut for me, but I absolutely loved it. The thousand island sauce was crazy good, the turkey was flavorful and the bread was perfect! If youre looking for a sandwich I would highly recommend this place!

Neat old store that sells a lot of interesting imported foods. The ice cream flavor options are great, but the waffle cone I ordered was inedible. It was too thick and stale to chew.

I really wanted to write a rave review, its an institution in West Seattle after all. But 25 minutes for the most basic cold tuna sandwich is kinda crazy... maybe the other sandwiches take more effort, maybe they have tastier things but I dont know that Ill wait and see, the bakery next door is way better.

Order your sandwiches ahead for quick in and out, pick up a soda and chips while looking around. Enjoy!!

Went in to pick up a few sandwiches I called in. No one greeted me or asked if I was there for an order. Waited about 10 minutes by counter then noticed a sign taped to their table saying to wait outside for food orders and someone would bring out. They previously did this so I went outside. Another 15 minutes and no one came out. I kept looking in but no one asked me any questions. I finally went in to inquire and it had been sitting there for awhile behind the counter. I mentioned this to the employee that Id been waiting and they didnt even acknowledge me and he didnt seem very interested in hearing it. After leaving I was still very disappointed in their service so I called and asked to speak to a manger. The employee who answered said he was the one who helped me so I asked to speak to someone else. Tony then got on the phone and also said he was a manager. I explained what happened and he said he had given me the sandwiches (both couldnt have). I told him I was not satisfied with the service nor the resolution and he said he was sorry I was upset but that wasnt their policy even though it was on taped on their surfaces in the store. I asked to speak to someone else more senior but he said Im part of the family and the only manager here. I had asked to speak to someone else even if the next day but he wouldnt give me any names or take my info to leave for a call back. Very disappointed in these boys behavior to a customer. Ive been coming here for a long time and this was THE WORST service Ive ever had. His response was more like he couldnt care less I took issue and had no interest in keeping a loyal customer. Ill be going to the new folks on the block since Husky seems to have lost all that was good about it before. Spend your money somewhere else.

Best sandwiches and ice cream in West Seattle!

Husky Deli was kind enough to donate 40 free lunches for the West Seattle Chamber meeting. What a kind and generous offer. Plus the food was absolutely delicious! This was my first time there and I will be definitely going back for more.

I wish I could like this place more. They have a great menu, but I’ve always been baffled by the slow service when ordering sandwiches. I always end up waiting 20 minutes or more. Recently there were only one or two people waiting ahead of me and 3 employees behind the deli counter and it still took over 15 minutes. I would come more often if I if didn’t take so long.

Excellent deli. We stopped for ice cream and it was amazing. Fresh made waffle cones and a big selection of ice cream flavors. The deli side has a great selection of sliced to order meats and cheeses. Shelves are packed with sundries from around the world. Canned Haggis from Scotland to water crackers from England even Vegemite from Australia and so much more. I really liked this place and it’s worth a visit.
