A rare gem in the heart of Seattle and light-years more special than shopping at the chain-stores of Tandy leather. This is a true leather-workers paradise. All the tools, hardware (especially for shoes and bags!), new leather by the hide, plus the biggest treasure-trove of scrap leather Ive ever found outside New York. I love that theyre so responsible with keeping leather in the supply chain to be upcycled into something new:, down to its tiniest scrap, its a rarity in this industry. In fact, I hesitate to share this, as I love their plentiful supply of inspiring leather scrap to design with. But their customer service rules, and I would probably shrivel up and die if they ever went out of business. lol.

Lots of great cuts and wide variety of leather types, dyes, finishers, and hardware.Really helpful customer service. Only wish I had found it sooner.

Ive only been once and I know nothing about leather work. That said, the person working was helpful and friendly. I went in looking for sturdier studs than I was finding on eBay. I believe I will be satisfied with my purchases.

The kind of place that Amazon cant replace. Like most other crafts, leather work is probably a dying art. But if you need any type of leather or associated tools/ supplies, this is a great place to get it. Great selection of leather from all types of animals and some furs. Prices seemed reasonable. Classic old warehouse with the retail shop in the SW corner. I parked right out front. Helpful and friendly attendants.

An amazing resource!I do some hobby leatherwork. This is the place to go for leather, hardware, and tools. They have a great selection of high quality items.I prefer to shop at a brick and mortar store for these things. I like to see the size and quality of the items in person before I buy.

Every time I walk in I am inspired with three new projects! I highly recommend taking the time to scour their large by-the-pound bins, I have found many treasures there. The tools and kits are also useful, and the staff are friendly and generally good about helping make your projects successful with their advice and suggestions.

Im new to leather work but Mac Phersons seems to have everything you could need. I spent 45 minutes simply taking it all in, from tools to different varieties of leather to furs, their enormous scrap bin. The place is great and the staff are super helpful. Its a little expensive, but theyll probably have what youre looking for.

Meh, you either shop here or at Tandy, at least at Tandy theyre friendly and helpful. We tried for two years to set up a business account and they kept losing the paperwork. Its not the best organized place, the leather is usually pretty expensive as are the tools. They arent bad at what they do but they definitely come across as viewing walk in traffic as not their primary business and thats too bad.

I was sent here by a very well respected leather tailor in Seattle to match a fine deerskin coat that my dogs had chewed up. The coat was the only thing I had left from my father so I wanted to repair it properly.I know nothing about leather and trusted the sales person to match the grade and color. color liked fine to me. I paid $100 which is about what the tailor told me to expect for a high quality hide.When I brought the hide to the tailor, she was sickened by how badly Id been scammed. She said they had sold me craft deerskin with holes, blotches, and scratches. She could barely find enough skin to even replace a single panel. ( I had bought the hole hide because I had planned to replace two panels.) She also said definitively that a hide of grade 3 craft skin like the one Id been sold shouldnt cost more than $25.I live very far away and cant get back to the store and I need the coat for a family reunion next week.The manager was not at all helpful and refused to refund even a part of my money.I feel cheated and victimized. This store obviously doesnt care about customers and quality of products or services.Caveat emptor!

The staff was very helpful. I am new to leather craft and they helped me find the right kind of leather I needed for tje cheapest price they had to offer.

If you need leather and/or tools for leather working, these guys are the best show in town. They spent almost 20 minutes with me, making sure I had exactly the tool I needed for my project. Its an intimidating place if you arent knowledgeable, but the friendly staff loves to answer questions!

Just about everything leather you can think of. They have bins of scraps that they sell by the pound too. Everyone was really nice and very helpful. Ill definitely go back if I need any leather stuff.

Ive never had a bad experience at MacPherson Leather. The staff is knowledgeable, helpful in figuring out solutions and offer helpful advise, theyve special ordered items they did not or no longer have in stock for me, and they even help me carry hide out to my vehicle everytime I visit the store. The convenience of their location and the great customer service Ive continuously received over the years has made me a happy customer. I definitely recommend stopping in and checking them out next time you are in the area. :)

They have a lot of polishes, dyes, and cremes for leather. Big warehouse. Boot and shoe knick knacks or findings as well.

Pretty much everything you need for leatherwork, a little disorganized and not too helpful staff. I prefer Tandy Leather, much more organized, although a little bit more expensive.

We drove a long way to get leather from this store- we have bought from them before years ago. When I asked for help the employee I was directed to was totally unhelpful and unprofessional! He was very rude. I was so disappointed and took my business elsewhere ! I will not do business with someone. Who treats others in this way!
