Tremendous variety of succulents, cacti, water & other house plants. Staff is always willing, helpful & friendly. Location is perfect since it is near shops in Fremont as well as next to the Lake Washington Ship Canal. A very pleasant experience!

Inhabiting what I have to believe is a former boat workshop, this incredible shop is absolutely crammed full of plants and knowledgeable staff! They don’t have as many rare plants from what I’ve seen, but they had an incredible array of plants in general and in sizes one doesn’t encounter often for sale in a store. Further all of their green offerings seemed very well taken care of with very little wilting or signs of neglect. Everything the box hardware/garden stores aspire to be but better! They also offer all of the necessary accoutrements for gardening you could need and then some from a house plant to a pocket garden.

Super cute plant shop. They have tons of plants for amazing prices. All sorts of sizes as well. Parking is free on the neighboring streets and there’s also a paid lot. We called and asked if they had certain plants before we went and they were extremely friendly and helpful. Clean and organized inside. Definitely would suggest this spot for your plant needs :)

I live a block down from Indoor Sun Shoppe and somehow find myself in here almost every week...dangerous. I’ve purchased a lot of my indoor plants from here and they always thrive. The prices are very reasonable too! Not the kind of high price tags you get slapped with at a lot of other boutique plant shops. The staff is incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. They have a great selection of pots, soil and other little gifts. They have tons of 2-3 inch pot plants for under $10 if you want to start small!

I went in looking for a carnivorous plant. I had no experience with them so I explained to an employee my general situation. He spent a good 15 minutes patiently walking me around the store, answering questions and explaining what might work best for the space I had.I never felt talked down to, it never felt like a sales pitch, and the more expensive products were only talked about after I asked about them.Felt like a store full of knowledge people happy to share their their passion for plants in a casual way.CAUTION IF YOU GO ON SUNDAY. Theres a street fair every Sunday that goes till 4pm on the same street, and parking can get pretty crazy. Worth a visit any other day of the week. Go visit them!

I have shopped here many time because they have great selection, but this customer service experience was very frustrating.I was making a carnivorous planter so I needed some carnivorous soil. I intended to buy a small bag of the indoor sun shoppe’s “carnivorous soil” but was pressured into buying the larger bag of soil ($20). I used very little when I made the planter and had no use for the rest so I wanted to get a partial refund or give back the soil so someone else could you it. The attendant said “I’m sorry I can’t do that because of sterility reasons.”There are plenty of cheap ways to sterilize dirt and so it’s pretty unreasonable to have that as the reason for not accepting the return. They would rather waste the $20 dirt (I have no other use for it) then easily sterilize it and repurpose it.

Free Range Cycles is so lucky to have these folks as neighbors! The crew at Indoor Sun Shoppe offer some of the best customer service, plant variety and garden know-how around. I got a small spider plant and a bag of dirt for $6 which I thought was reasonable. The staff was busy but helpful to answer questions. Im new to plants and they answered how large the pot should be, how to grow the plant with my grow light vs natural light, and what to expect with growth speed.

Wonderful plant shop! Ive been there twice so far. Today was my second time in and they didnt have a very specific plant in a specific size pot available that I wanted (black coral snake plant in 10 inch pot) so the owner (I think) ordered one for the shop in case I wanted it later this week! They have a wide variety of houseplants and some collectors plants, but no fancy imports. Best selection of carnivorous plants Ive seen in person, anywhere. Prices are EXCELLENT. Also, the aesthetic is unique and very jungle-esque, so just walking through is fun, even if you arent a houseplant enthusiast. The staff are knowledgeable & friendly. Ill be coming back for sure!

This place was GORGEOUS. I felt like a kid in a candy shop! There were so many beautiful well maintained plants and the prices for 4 inch plants is so affordable. The staff were knowledgeable and extremely nice. Ive already come back twice!

Overpriced. I get the same thing from Home Depot and Lowe’s, and those plants live longer than the ones I buy from here. On a positive note, they offer very helpful service if you need it.

I stopped here after wanting to make the trip into Fremont for over a year. I’m glad it wasn’t my reason for the trip, because it would have been so disappointing. The front porch carnivorous plants look amazing, but my experience inside wasn’t great. If you are into succulents or cacti, this would be a good place for you. If you are into fun and different house plants, this will be a little disappointing. I didn’t find anything I couldn’t find in a typical plant nursery or hardware store.

Ive been here so many times and each time I leave with a healthy beautiful plant. Reasonable pricing too! All the employees are knowledgeable, patient, and very friendly. If youre new to house plants this is a great nursery where they make you feel comfortable if you have questions

Favorite plant shop in the Seattle area! Really large selection of a variety of plants, with reasonable prices and very healthy plants. Store is separated, with “low light” plants in the front and “high light” in the back.

Super cute plant shop! They offered us refreshments while we waited to enter (they were maintaining safe capacity numbers). They had a great selections of plants, good prices, cute planters, and nice music. Plan on coming back for my other plant needs.

This is a great family store thats been around for quite some time and they have something for everybody any budget they even have grow equipment and nutrients. I love smelling the lemon plants flowers and looking at all of the carnivores plants.

Amazing selection of house plants of all sizes, including very affordable and tiny 2 baby plants, which are great if youre not ready to invest in a large plant (or not sure if a certain plant will thrive in your house). Staff are helpful, friendly, professional, and VERY knowledgeable. The indoor space is so beautiful -- a literal jungle paradise. I wish I could live in there in a thatched-roof treehouse among all their gorgeous, lush, healthy plants!

If you are obsessed with indoor gardening, this is a good place to stop! They have a nice variety of trees, snake plants, succulents, air plants, and pottery. They also have a few bonsai trees and their pots in the mix as well. Great little shop in Fremont!

This store is a gem - provides indoor plants at a very reasonable price (compared to other plant shops in the area). I can always rely on them to provide fairly priced plants. The owners are obviously very passionate about their store. I always come here for my soil supply (don’t buy those grocery store ones - support your local business). It also helps that it’s very zen inside with all the lush greeneries!

This is by far my favorite plant shop in city of Seattle, they have new plants almost every week and everything you will need to take care of them. Staff is super helpful and knowledgeable! They even have pre-mixed soil bags which vary based on plant needs, absolutely adore the space and location. I have been back many times and will continue to do so!

I love this place. I used to come here at least once a month about a decade ago. It was great to get the same wonderful experience that I always did before. Great selection, knowledgeable friendly staff, very fun atmosphere, all around great experience. Its very different from your typical plant shop. During covid they are limiting the number of people in the store. I walked up to a small group waiting to get inside. I think I waited maybe 10 minutes to get in. Cant wait until this is all over and I can come back and take my time looking through everything.

They sell tons of plant varieties, and have an awesome layout. Ask questions if you have them. They will help you. You will find the plant or plants youre looking for here. Last time I was there I had to schedule an appointment in advance due to Covid. Prob a good idea to call first.

I cant recommend this place enough! The folks who work there are super kind, and will go out of their way to help you find what youre looking for. The prices are great, (I literally havent found cheaper in the area) and the selection is huge. Also, there is the sweetest pup, Penny, who usually wanders about the store, so thats a big plus as well. Definitely my new go-to, I just hope for my wallets sake I dont go too often... :)

Sorry for coming in the wrong door. Please post signage indicating where the correct door to enter is located. The older (not so gentle) man who works here berated me after I apologized multiple times for entering the wrong door. I got full-on adult scolded. The only other time I have shopped here was in the winter and I entered from the door on the canal side. I had no idea there was an entrance on the other side of the building. Thank you for the fertilizer but I will never shop here again. I’ll go to Swansons, Peace Love &Happiness Club, Sky Nursery or The Plant Store.

Took the trip over the passes to hopefully score some amazing pots and plants and was not disappointed. Was able to find exactly what we were looking for. Local hand made pots and a great selection of cacti and succulants. Our desert garden got a great upgrade.

This is my favorite local plant shop. The people are always kind and helpful and the dozens of things I’ve purchased have lived long and healthy lives so far.

If you haven’t been since winter because you’ve been staying home and you got a face mask and saw this place was open and see the welcome signs and the wide open doors, do not just walk in. I’m not exactly sure what their current rules are but one of the people working here will flat out ignore you and the other will yell at you a few times and never really tell you what’s going on but will mention that somewhere on their website they mentioned some rules. So... I used to love this place, now it just feels unsafe and scary.

The indoor sun shoppe is awesome . I love this place its way cool. I have been going there forever . I like to go there just to get ladybugs to let them go in the garden its pretty sweet watching them take off . They have lots of cool plants to look at, theres lots of different things you might want . Its very close to the water the Fremont cut, you can watch boats go by . What a sweet place to go .

I live in a low light apartment and any plant I bring in dies. Came here and they suggested snake plants as they are super low maintenance (low light, dont need a lot of water). I also got these super cute pots to resemble (not really) me and my two dogs :) They reported my plants for me and everything:)

My first stop for gardening needs. Moderately priced. Friendly helpful staff. Very cool indoor plant selections! It feels like they truly care about you as a person and a customer. Staff will help you load large items or large orders into your vehicle.Today, I went in to get a few items, due to a simple ordering system error, they were out of what I needed. No ones fault, just a simple computing error, happens to everyone. They offered me a couple very acceptable solutions for the problem, each of which would have definitely solved the issue. Regardless of not leaving with what I came for today, I left happy, as usual! The proprietor of the Indoor Sun Shoppe is great, as well as each employee. Thanks!

I had high hopes and excitement for this place and then when I went in and asked for advice the people working there were very rude. The lady rolled her eyes at me when I asked her a question about the plant I wanted. I guess this isn’t the best spot for novice plant owners.

Hands down the best place if youre looking for air plants, succulents, etc... Lots of air cleansing plants such as snake and spider plants. This is the best priced nursery Ive found around Seattle. They have a $1 section of air plants and I even got a large one for $7 where it would be around $15-20 elsewhere. Definitely worth stopping by. Huge selection of well glazed ceramic pots but there is also cheaper options if you dont care about it looking fancy! The staff was so kind and willing to talk with me for so long about how to care for my plants!

Been with the Sun Shop as a customer since they opened in the U district... None finer than the Indoor Sun Shop ever in Seattle. If they do not have what you need they can get it or do better! The shop in Fremont is real nice as is the staff.

I wouldnt shop for my indoor supplies any where else. Shawn and his staff are top notch and are there for thier customers as close as a phone call. Been doing business with them for 29 years.

The staff was very nice. Thats the only reason I give 2 stars.I went for some rare succulent search, but the variety is not anything like what you see in these photos. I did not see anything different from a garden center at Fred Meyer. The condition of succulents were very very bad. I was very very disappointed.
