Way bigger than you think pulling up! This place just keeps going and going. Easily the most extensive collection of multimedia (CDs, cassettes, vinyl, etc.) I have ever seen in a resale spot. I look forward to adding SP into my regularly visited locations in the Seattle area.

I have found the staff to be quite professional and helpful when I needed to ask them for something also.By the way, they have a great online site where you can check to see if an item is next time before you head out.

Ive been shopping at the various Silver Platters locations (many now gone, alas) for many, many years. Always a great place to find CDs and DVDs, both new and used. This trip was specifically for some Clive Cussler books as Ive recently started reading him. Went home with an armload.

Silver Platters is fabulous for old school media--CDs, DVDs, Blu-Ray, etc. but especially records! Vast selection.

Helpful & knowledgable staff. The experience is like being a kid in a Candy Store. A Smithsonian of Music. Ltd capacity though, you have to shop kinda quick because of the Corona. But these days, what isnt blamed on that.

Excellent selection of CDs, DVDs, and more. Great for gift-giving. I also appreciate their customer service and follow-through. If they dont already have something in stock, they can often track down a copy.

I think the best most outstanding record store I’ve been to. I remember when they were off 5th and Roy, before that it was Tower Records.Some of the same staff is still here.Great deals on trades. Always keep your trade-ins clean and scratch free.Great staff.

Used books and used graphic novels section is fantastic. Used cookbooks as well. Good place to get the books you want to keep but dont want to pay full price for. Probably one of my fave bookstores in this city.

They have all the tapes and CDs and Records you could ever need. And if they cant find what youre looking for on your own. They have great friendly stuff that will help you with all your needs.

Huge. Easy to find off I-5 and you can park literally right outside the door. What more do you want? Good selection of vinyl at fair prices. If they have it out for sale, its not junk. This is what I appreciate most about all the Silver Platters in the area. You never know what you might discover!

Cool place to buy a lot of things.

Great record shop. They have a great selection of new and used records, new and used DVDs, new and used books, and new and used CDs. They also do contests to win vinyls and CDs as well as in store signings and concerts too. Its easy to get lost and spend some money in here and to walk away with a lot of goodies to keep you entertained.

All I can say is WHAT A GREAT PLACE. I had the pleasure of speaking with Thom for a brief moment and Im definitely going to be back. The customer service is SUPERB and the vinyl is in IMPECCABLE condition. However, they do not have public restrooms and I almost peed my pants. That is the only downside. Other than that it was a 10/10 experience.

I was so happy to find a nice, used copy of Hearts Little Queen. Eddie helped me today and his sense of humor, kindness and friendliness made this visit today special. I love Silver Platters!

I love the staff here. They know the shop like the back of their hands, despite its ginormous size for a modern record shop. I only come in every few months or so (if that), and even still almost every time I do visit, an employee will recognize me and remember some of the CDs I had bought the last time Id come in.Being a young petite woman, I sometimes I get a bit sketched out in places like this. Not here. As soon as I walk in the door I remember why it feels safer than other places. Their employees are very attentive to the vast rows of music they have for sale, and always give me the vibe that they would immediately take care of things if anyone tried something with anyone.This place is seriously my favorite music store of all time, they always have an enormous selection at any given time and a super helpful and comforting staff.

I have sold silver platters my vinyl. They generally give you 10% value in store credit of what they are going to price and sell it in the store. And thats store credit, not cash. Most of my stuff is like new. The usual reasoning is you have the reissue which isnt worth as much as the old one. Or they sell it for cheap on discogs. Or... we have too many of these. Then i see it the next day and its the only one on the shelf and its selling for $20-25 used. I have been trying to sell some of these to support the local store instead of selling online. Silver Platters is like half price books in that youre almost making a donation to them. The only reason I am giving two stars instead of one is that they have a good selection of music.

Went here during a recent trip to Seattle and bought a Nirvana CD and got roasted by the clerk behind the counter. Awesome place will defiantly come back the next time I’m in town

The only drawback to this place is its location in the heart of sodo. Its ginormous and stacked wall to wall with media. One of the largest new and used CD and DVD collections in Seattle and boasts a decent used book selection as well. The guy at the checkout is hilarious. Overall this is a well organized spot where youre pretty much guaranteed to find something youre after.

Oh my gosh this store is my absolute favorite store in Seattle. It is a blast from the past walking in here. You can buy any music you like in almost any format and have a staff member tell you a story about it as well! Used and new music presented in correct sections by genre, country, etc. You find yourself getting lost in its history while hovering over a section in an aisle. Gigantic wonderful warehouse space, nice staff. Great great music at excellent prices. So much fun . . .

I visited once or twice and this place was completely dead. My last visit the store clerk rudely called on me to leave my purse at the front counter. I asked why and the clerk said no bags where aloud. I’ve never been to a retail space were I wasn’t allowed to carry my own bag. I’m very insulted that he insinuated I was there to steal. I will not be going back.

They have a great selection of new and used music, movies, and even books. The staff are friendly and are not just workers but fans, so have a lot of knowledge. They have a good selection of foreign and 3d movies which is what brings me here most. They only drawback is that sometimes new items are very expensive. But if you buy used you will make up for this.

Tremendous selection of both CDs and Vinyl, plus movies and an eclectic section of used books.Their used inventory alone is a treasure trove of old favorites and obscure releases youd never find on Amazon.The staff is wonderful and a joy to chat with. Just today an employee waded through the Record Store Day crowds with me to help locate an album I couldnt find.I only wish I lived closer so I could visit more often. Ever consider a Gig Harbor location? 😂

I was visiting Seattle, friends brought me here. Great selection of music, I picked up some pretty unusual jazz vinyl (some live Miles and Coltrane sets) and prices are fair. I was buying vinyl, but there was a huge selection of silver discs too. Will visit next time I am in Seattle.
