Top Notch. Professional. Class Act.Safety is their number one goal. Alpine Ascents is upfront about it, our number one goal is to get you up the mountain and down the mountain safely. Each step of the process was methodical and safety oriented. Professionalism and attention to detail is important to me - and should be important to you! I found Alpine Ascents to possess both of these qualities.Customer Service. The Alpine Ascents team does a nice job with communication before you arrive, when you arrive for gear check, while on your climb and after your climb. Each question I had was answered in a timely and efficient manner.I have zero reservations about recommending Alpine Ascents to my friends and family.
Alpine Ascents is an awesome guide service. I summited Mt. Rainier in 2016 (with my 19 year old niece) and Mt. Baker in 2018 with them. On Mt. Rainier John Prudhomme, Bryce Hill, Dawa Sherpa and Pasang Lhamu Sherpa were the guides. They were all very professional, knowledgably and personable. The amount of experience between them was incredible! The Mt. Baker trip was their 6-day mountaineering course. The guides were Brian Houle and Coby. They took the time to make sure everyone got the concepts they were teaching and allowed ample time for practice. That was a great course! They also have a great selection of new and rental gear. The gear I rented was in good shape and was clean.I look forward to more climbs with them in the future!Highly recommended.
DANGER! A shocking poisoned corporate culture! I have never been treated this badly by any business in memory in particular by finance director Gary. Apparently this is accepted corporate behavior at Alpine Assents International as I was soon to find out, After talking with chief director and enabler Jonathan Spitzer I told him I couldn’t in good conscience participate in any present or future Alpine Assents International climb after he offered verbally a ???free??? Climb at sometime in the future. I felt he was trying to shut me up rather than address his employee lying multiple times to me.
I had a great experience in the summer of 2015 climing Mt. Rainier via the Emmons glacier with AAI. Everything about the trip was top-notch - the guides, the planning, the chosen route, etc. It doesnt matter if you are new to climbing or are a seasoned veteran, they are the best domestic guides in the business.
Great staff! Very professional and super friendly! My favorite guide there is Don Wargowsky, he has lead climbs all over the world and has a great track record when it comes to safety!
I have traveled with Alpine for seven trips. They are always well organized and have a great guide team. They will work with you on any issues you have and take a one on one approach with their climbers. If you want to travel with a company that you know has your best interests and the best interests of the group in mind... I recommend AAI!
I have climbed on four different Alpine Ascents trips. They are the best. I look forward to many more adventures with this organization!!
A few years ago, I had read in a guidebook that Alpine Ascents was the premier guiding group for mountain climbing. I recently embarked with them on the 3 Day Rainier climb and they did not disappoint. I had no mountaineering experience yet between Gordon, the gear team and the guides, I was able to experience The most remarkable physical challenge of my life. With the guides, I decided not to summit which was a great decision. Because this was a positive first experience, I can imagine training for Mt. Baker and Kilimanjaro in the future. HUGE gratitude going out to David, Robin, Matt and Dawa: you are exquisite guides!!!!! Thank you for an amazing experience. CBrown
Excellent company. Used for Rainier and Kilimanjaro trips. Top notch guides and service support all the way!
I recently completed the Mount Rainier climb with Alpine Ascents International. This was my first time mountaineering. On our climb, there were four guides that accompanied us: Peter, Robin, Phura and Travis. They were spectacular. It is hard to imagine having better leaders. All four were professional, courteous, instructive, entertaining and caring. They truly made a concerted effort to make the trip as enjoyable and informative as possible. In my opinion, it is the people that make an organization, and AAI has that in spades. If you are deciding between which organization to leverage for a climb or trek, I would strongly encourage you to choose AAI. I did, and will continue to do so in the future!
Great! Professional, personal and top notch! The best guides around.
Best staff and top notch gear!
