We had friends in town and after a search, decided to go here. The food was AMAZING!!! The taste of each plate was so unique and delicious. The server was really attentive and answered all our questions regarding ingredients. The plates were smaller, but we were told this beforehand, so we had an entree to share. Will definitely come back here!

It started off bumpy as no one came to our table for a minute and we had to flag someone down. After that everything went smoothly, service was good and dinner was delicious. The mussels are some of the best I have had in Seattle. I will be going again.

Absolutely one of the best dining experiences Ive ever had the pleasure of. Amazing food and wonderful staff. This will be a return destination for years to come. 5/5 in every aspect. Perfect destination for a romantic date night. The gnocchi is an absolute must, but each dish will blow you away. My partner was a little vexed by a weak wine pour (mine came in a fair carafe, but eyeballing it was quite short). Really only because the wine selections themselves were so excellent. Overall 9/10!

Went here the other day and it was absolutely fantastic. Food we delicious, service was great, and I was very comfortable with their covid protocols. We got the salmon and one of the pasta dishes and it was all phenomenal. They had a few lovely orange wines; and an extensive wine list that I’m def looking forward to exploring in more detail.

We dined on the back patio and it was delightful. The seating in the working garden and portable heaters made for a very enjoyable October dinner. The service was excellent all around and the five course meal was delicious! There’s even affordable parking behind the restaurant. We will definitely be back and I think this will become a local favorite!!

First time dining out since the pandemic began and Carrello was a great choice! Outdoor seating with lots of separation, loved that they grow their own herbs right there so it smelled nice too. The food was delicious! Panzanella salad and one each of the fresh pastas!

So happy we found this hidden gem! Food and wine exceeded our expectations. The rabbit particularly is out of this world. Coursing was a bit on the slow side but we mentioned we were fine to take our time so wouldn’t go so far as to call service slow. Waiter was quite knowledgeable and genuinely passionate about the food. She was even able to get our daughters excited about some fancy items we’d never be able to get them to try. An overall great experience and we will definitely be back!!

Carrello has many playful and creative offerings on their menu. You can order several small plates, opt for an entrée, or choose a more family-style experience. Everything we ordered was supremely delicious. The sophisticated menu is met with a relaxed atmosphere and excellent service. Highly recommended.

The food was delicious and I loved the concept, sort of like Italian dim sum. Its days after I ate there and Im still thinking about the delicious gnocchi, and would return just for that. Our food came surprisingly quickly and the waiter was enthusiastic and attentive. We will definitely be back. There are also a few areas that I hope to see improved. While the cart concept is clever, the execution had some issues that didnt match our expectations. The carts rotating around the restaurant were few and far between (we had visits by maybe 4 in the ~90min we were there) and most only featured one option, with only a few plates available. We would have eaten and tried a lot more had they been circulating more quickly, especially when we first arrived since we were very hungry. The chairs are uncomfortable. While I have minor back strain from sitting in office chairs all day, Ive never noticed this in another restaurant and was surprised at my discomfort, resulting in my legs actually tingling (I think this was due to the seat being low) and the uncomfortable position of the bar that forms the back of the chair. We were also disappointed by the small portion size on the main courses, but did welcome this as an excuse to try more things.

Amazing from start to finish. My partner and I had the Kanpachi Carpaccio (serrano, basil oil, melon), Burrata, Agnolotti (mushroom ragu), Scarpinocc (our favorite with corn, mascarpone, lavender brown butter and rose), house bread(smoked sea salt butter and bagna cauda), the Duck Leg Agrodolce (with beets and fried polenta), and finished the meal with the Panna Cotta (stone fruit and lime). Even the mocktails were mind-blowing and mine was reminiscent of a Last Word with that distinct Chartreuse flavor. Incredible. The staff was extremely attentive with clearing and explaining each dishes ingredients. They even brought out some complimentary dessert drinks that were the perfect foil to the Panna Cotta. Tables were appropriately spaced out for covid precautions. Hands down the best pasta Ive had in Seattle. We both left feeling quite the food high.

Took an hour to get our food despite maybe 8 people total in the restaurant. Food and drinks were good, but small portions, even for upscale italian. My $21 ravioli dish had exactly 5 ravioli, and they were small. Mandatory 20% tip even though we had three people on one check. To be honest, I walked away thinking I can do better for a $70 meal on Broadway.

The service was incredibly terrible. Our server forgot to place one of our orders and got only half the tables food over. She did not mention that the stake would take an hour and a half to cook and I was waiting for my food while the rest of the table was done eating. The food was decent not worth the price. Much better places out there

One of the loveliest restaurant experiences Ive had in Seattle. I booked a spot for a friend and I on the patio and when I arrived almost considered proposing to her - it was SO cute and romantic. There was just a little table for the two of us set in amongst their fragrant little herb garden. The sun was setting, the air was warm, the little fairy lights were twinkling in the dusk. I honestly couldnt have come up with a more romantic spot for a proposal if I tried. Instagram wouldnt have done it justice. On top of that, the food and service was incredible. The wine was out of this world - one of the best selections of Italian wines Ive found in Seattle - we got the Terlano Pinot Bianco and I cant recommend it enough. I cant wait to go back on a date to fully take advantage of their little romantic setting.

My dear (I call her my second mom) took me out for dinner tonight with her hubby as a treat for my fiancé and I for our engagement. Super sweet of them! 🥰 This was the BEST gift ever! (I love how she is such a big foodie 😋) I have to say the prices are more than fair too for the taste buds experience you get. I mean, I woke up in the middle of the night wanting more and desperately wanted to brag about them. Annnddd... that’s why I am here now. 🤣But seriously, if you are looking for a location that punches you in the mouth with savory seduction, this is the place. This place is aromatherapy all day everyday and whoever the chef is, I wanna bring him home. Also, I shall also mention the staff was incredibly professional and polite. Honestly, they are the highlight of Broadway and to my experience during this pandemic. The ONLY thing I would recommend is the serving sizes for dinner (aside from the steak cause my GOODNESS it’s huge!!) is to be a tad bigger. However, we were satisfied with the servings. This is a good anniversary dinner or special occasion place.YUM.P.S - Order their potato’s. You will thank me later!

Horrible service. It took an hour for our first entrees to arrive. One of them was missed by the waiter and the other was held up another half hour. By the time the last couple entrees arrived the rest of the table had completed there food. The waiter was rude and unapologetic. Quality was okay but not what you would expect for the price especially since the portions were small. The ravioli had 4 pieces in it

Had a delicious meal and a really fun time! Everything was so good, and I loved the space with the giant octopus mural on those big glass windows. My favorite dish was the fried artichoke. I am vegetarian, but had plenty of food, although i did eat everything on the menu that was vegetarian. I hope the dessert tray has something new next time, as i am not a fan or chocolate or orange, two flavors that dominated. The service was excellent- you are surrounded by waitstaff offering food! A wonderful experience and a new Seattle classic.

I went alone and sat at the bar, which I love. The color scheme is beautiful. I appreciated that each wine gets its ideal glass, and the variety offered of by-the-glass wine. Removing the glass between the kitchen and dining room really opened the space up, and the bright white light contrasted with the warm yellow of the old-timey bulbs above the bar. Magnificent! The portion for price on pasta is preposterous. 17 dollars for, at best, 3 oz of pasta was not what I was expecting, even at a small plate restaurant. I ordered the tagliatelle with spicy oxtail and tripe ragu. The sauce was delicious, and I had been intrigued since Seattle Cooks came out. It featured a great piquancy that didnt overpower anything, but lingered on the palette for a while. Great cook on the oxtail, fall apart tender. But my plate needed a decent amount more of salt and acid for my taste. If you do try it, try pairing with the orange wine by the glass, I think it would be great!Would be willing to try again with a group, but unfortunately solo dining is not an option for me here. Still love the ambience and experience, the crew was really friendly!

The cart service here is a very hit or miss. If youre in the wrong seat, you wont get served by most of the carts. The food was good if you get to eat it though!More irritatingly, the manager talked down to my concerns about being skipped and tried to explain the concept to me as if I didnt understand how dim sum worked. Not what youd expect from a restaurant of this caliber.

I was excited to try this new Italian place on Capitol Hill even before they opened. Despite excellent flavor and presentation with every dish, this restaurant really missed the mark with their portion sizes. Their pasta dishes are actually tapas size — about a third or maybe even less of what you’d get at a typical Italian restaurant. There were a good variety of items available on the dim sum style carts, but each delicate bowl contained about two or three small mouthfuls. The ambience is wonderful. The service was very attentive — maybe even too much so. (Our waitress was asking us how things were going every five minutes.)

Terrible food and leave hungry- very very expensive example is the pasta dish had a total of 2 small tortellini’s for $21.00. Food being rolled around on carts didn’t look good, who eats cold clams? Served cold? Way too expensive, small menu and who wants to wait 50 minutes for chicken that costs you an arm and a leg?

3 1/2 stars. This is a tough one.The space seems little changed from its previous iteration as Poppy. Its nice enough, if a little expansive and simple. The floors are bare concrete, the wood tables and chairs are bistro-like. We were seated near the bar, separated by a raw metal pipe railing. No soft surfaces anywhere. The dishes we ordered were nicely presented and flavorful. The service was attentive and friendly.Small and meant for sharing, items can be ordered off of the menu as well as selected from rotating carts as they pass by your table. Of the seven dishes ordered between the two of us, one was outstanding, two were very good, and three were just ok ( an extremely oversauced and salty tagliatelli, a uninteresting side of roasted carrots, and a perfectly fine cannoli ).We accept that eating out in Seattle is expensive and were ok with that. But this time, the experience just didnt justify the price of our meals.

Attended the soft opening Wednesday and went back on Friday! This place is outstanding. Phenomenal pastas, excellent wine list, the food carts moving around is a wonderful experience! Nathan & Rebecca Lockwood have opened another special Seattle spot.COVID Update: Carrellos continues to crush it! Their pivot to more to-go and outside seating has not detracted from the top quality of their menu. In fact, it seems like they have taken the opportunity to even play around a bit more with their offerings. Weve been getting takeout at least once a month during Covid and are consistently thrilled with the food and beverages.Update: third visit since they opened (yeah maybe we have a “problem”, haha). Sat at the bar this time. Cocktails are top notch (we love places like Canon, Rob Roy, Smith, Lot #3, so love our cocktails). Nathan and crew keep dialing things in. Been eye balling the Lamb Neck (with fried eggplant, date mint & habanero spread) and finally ordered it this time, absolutely fall off the bone amazing! The Italian “dim sum” is a fun delicious way to fill in while waiting for larger plates to arrive. The menu can flex with your appetite, but so far we’ve managed to bring home a to go box every time, mainly because we don’t want to waste anything.
