Awesome place for a beginner. This bike shop is closed to a very popular hike called the bell rock trail, you can ride there from the the store. The prices are very reasonable. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They have all the gear you will need to get started and they have a bike shop too.

Do you want to be treated like a local and not be judged by your physical condition or lack of bike jargon? Visit the guys at this shop. As soon as we hit the door, we were greeted by a band of happy go lucky dudes who, you can tell, really like bikes and want other people to really like bikes too. Dont waste your time at the other bike shop up the road unless you like being ignored and looked at like a tourist. This shop is our favorite in the area, will definitely rent/buy from them again.

Awesome shop, no cool guy attitude’s just down to earth riders. Had a decent selection of gear and apparel.We rented a full suspension bike for my wife, they were very helpful all around. I purchased a new helmet and some chain lube, again they had great input on what i needed and wanted. Great bike shop. High quality bikes, super friendly and expedient service. My seat dropper was getting stuck so I brought the bike by; they replaced the entire dropper, which works perfectly now, and gave riding tips while replacing it. Highly recommend!

They even offered to cancel my reservation at no charge due to a huge snowstorm. Instead I picked up the bike and headed to Phoenix for 2 days, staff recommended some great trails there. This place is great. I just got excellent customer service and attention from Forest and his friend (whose name I didnt happen to get). They were both highly knowledgeable and passionate about their work and mountain biking. But what was really awesome was the friendliness and genuine concern they showed me (as a relatively new rider) to help me understand maintenance and techniques and more. Also, the shop is cool too. Good products... nice vibe... Good to know this place exists in my town!

Stopped by on a whim to inquire about an E-bike for my wife....Even though were from out of town on vacation, and none were available for purchase, they rolled out a rental unit for us to try! They went over the controls, the electronic settings, and let us ride it around the building to get a feel for the experience!If youre in Sedona and looking to rent or purchase, definitely give Absolute Bikes a shot at your business!

Pivot dealer, so they already win. However, I stopped in because I had an old saddle bolt break while adjusting on the trail, then lost a bunch of the hardware. They took care of me on the spot, quick, got me the hardware I needed, and put me back on the trail. Staff was incredibly friendly, and professional. I’ll definitely return to this bike in the future!

I was traveling through on my way to San Diego and needed some advice on what trails to ride. Cece, sorry if the spelling is wrong, helped me out huge. She gave me several different recommendations with a couple must do’s which didn’t disappoint. She also pointed out some camping spots for me too.

Colin was awesome! We had a warranty issue with one of the bikes and it was resolved very quickly. They had a good selection of Parts on hand which absolutely saved the day for us.

I was 4 days into an 8 day Sedona mountain biking trip recently when I destroyed my cassette and chain. After coasting/hiking out, I went straight to Absolute Bikes, who happen to be located a couple of blocks from where I was staying. Not only did they miraculously possess the new parts I needed, but they immediately threw my bike on the stand and got to work on it. They checked for other damage and adjusted my derailleur, too. I was out the door in under 20 minutes with my bike all set to keep shredding. This incident on the trail had the potential to wreck the rest of my trip, which had been many years in the making. Instead, the competent and helpful guys at Absolute helped ensure that I would not miss out. I rode Hiline and Hangover after that and everything on my bike worked great! I highly recommend this shop.

BEST IN SEDONA! Dont waste your time at Bike and Bean or even the well rated Over the Edge. My brother and I have both had issues that neither of those shops were able to fix and Nate and Alex at Absolute took are of them quickly (and cheaply, even free once!) Alex is awesome with suspension. This last trip he replaced my fork and shock seals and the bike runs like new again. Great service, excellent skills. Thanks guys

These guys rock. We got slightly lost getting back to our truck after biking up to Devil’s Bridge. Once we found the truck and got back to the bike shop, we were about 30 min past close time. Nico and Laura stayed late to make sure we could return the bikes and avoid extra charges! We came up from Prescott, so we would’ve had to drive back up to Sedona the next day to return, which would’ve been a total hassle. These guys went the extra mile and exemplified amazing customer service. Thanks again, Absolute team, for helping us have an awesome experience yesterday.

My mountain bike has been more neglected and ridden more this winter than normal, so I brought it into the shop for a good look over. Not only did the mechanic (Jack) do a great job with my list, he fixed several other issues that could have been bigger problems. Nothing like a bike that runs well! Great competent friendly service!

They replace their fleet every year with new models. Biked Bell Rock Pathway, half day, just an amazing experience as part of our 16th wedding anniversary.

This place is great! They had me in and out in 30 min! I was sure my bike trip was over, but they got me all fixed up and back out on the trail!

Jack at Absolute Bikes is outstanding. Despite being obviously very busy today on a Sunday afternoon, when I asked if I could get some advice, he took the time to diagnose my rear tire problem, dialed it in with sealant, and even took the time to shorten my too-long chain and get my shifting dialed in, all in short order. For over 10 years, I’d had recurring forefoot pain during my walking, hiking, climbing and biking. Four years ago it became so unbearable that I could no longer bike with my friends. After 3 shoe and pedal options, a dozen inserts, 4 podiatrists and one MRI were unable to properly resolve it, I chose physical therapy where they developed a foot, leg, and hip mobilization program, and recommended I see Nate at Absolute Bikes for a bike fitting. I have my life back!!!! Nate’s meticulous and caring bicycle fitting and ergonomic education eliminated 90% of the pain. When I do my mobilization and core work, it’s 100% gone. Honest mechanics - I came in to ask about getting a shock service for a a shock that I knew was specifically difficult to do ( Fox x2 - required lots of special tools and time). The mechanic I spoke with, Alex, acted like the best, honest car mechanic - telling me how to diagnose if and when the shock really needed to be serviced, not just taking my money at the service interval. I didn’t end up needing it serviced, but he was willing to work with me to set a small time window for me to drop it off and get the service completed if necessary so that I would be without bike for the smallest time possible.

Dont be tempted, this is the BEST bike shop in Sedona. Great rentals ( last time I had to rent they were the best deal in town) and Alex and the crew have put my bike back together many times. Ive seen them give the same respect to huffy riders to pro riders. They have gone the extra mile many times to get me back on the trail so I dont miss any valuable days of riding.

Solid group of people getting work done. Came here because my hanger was bent and my shifting was garbage. They turned my bike around in a day and got me back on the trail the next day. The next day, I needed to seat a tubeless tire and they graciously did it for me no charge. Good selection of products for the local area.

Highly recommend them for their rental selection and customer service!Visited Sedona for the first time for a Womens Bike Fest (ROAM) and rented a Pivot Trail 429 for 3 days. Their online reservation process was a snap. They quickly answered a few emailed questions before my trip. Donuts (nickname) set me up perfectly when I picked up the bike. The customer service even continued once I was home. Well done, fellas!

Excellent service! We are traveling from out of town and stopped in with a flat tire. Mechanics knew their stuff and went above and beyond to check over both our bikes. Sedona is lucky to have such a great local bike shop!

Even with restricted hours and access due to COVID, they were super friendly, helpful and quick in helping me get new cleats after a cleat failure on the road. Highly recommend will definitely return!

Great local bike shop! The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly and they keep a good inventory of bikes and parts to keep you going. The bike mechanics are top notch and usually get me in for repairs right away. I go to both locations and have had nothing but good experiences. So glad they are here!

Great service! Came over here after a bad visit to Bike and Bean. Ended up getting two sets of brake pads for $4 less than the other shop. Plus the service guys installed them, told me how to break the pads in, which was good advice, and took a look at my fork air pressure and offered advice on that. Good dudes and definitely the shop I’ll always go to when in Sedona.

I would agree with the reviewer Palle in regards to his post about seeming bothered by asking a question. Great cross section of bikes to choose from but customer service, and more specifically the attitude of the employees, could be better. Also, chunky short haired girl at the register was just down right rude.

Rented 8 bikes for two families, when we arrived everything was ready to go. The staff was really good and patient dealing with 5 children. They gave us great recommendations on trails that were kid friendly and then showed us a great ride for the adults in the afternoon. Because of their expertise on bikes and the area the day was a huge success. Just to top it off my son left his sun glasses at the shop and they shipped them home to Seattle. Great job!!!!!! We will be back.

Spent some time for the holiday in the area and stopped in a rented good bikes for the family, they had sizes for everyone. This is not a beach cruiser your renting these are very functional and well maintained bikes. the staff was super helping finding and fitting a bike for 9 year old that would allow him to enjoy the time out on the trail, with the adults. the rental price for the day for bikes well within reason and the nice thing is that you can leave right from the parking lot to the riding area. My son still talks about this day of riding out here.

Great shop with great customer service

Bikes and trails were awesome! The girl inside really made it a wonderful time. She really went the extra mile and gave us a fabulous location ( a short drive away) to take a dip at a spectacular water hole. Her knowledge and suggestions really made the experience so much better. It would be hard to try another place out when we come back to Sedona.

Great store, plenty parking out front and just a couple hundred yards from some awesome trails.I rented a bike here on a Monday afternoon for 4 hours. The staff were awesome and couldnt be more helpful.Great selection of bikes to hire from hard tails to full carbon stumpjumpers. I got a Pivot mach 6 for $70 for the 4 hours with helmet. Will use if in town again.

Rented some bikes to hit the trails. Very friendly staff, they were helpful and informative. Loved the specialized stumpjumper.

Rented a high end Stump jumper for (luckily) only half a day. Within the first half hour the gears were not shifting properly. I spent 4 hours trying to ride using only two gears (and I do know how to shift). The bike mechanic who tested the bike when we returned it had nothing to say about it. Very disappointed in the service, especially since we had just come from Flagstaff where we rented excellent stump jumpers for 4 days and had incredible, friendly service. I would suggest if possible make the journey to Flagstaff to rent your bikes. Better prices, better bikes and MUCH better service.

We recently rented hybrid/road bikes from Absolute Bikes in Sedona, and staff was friendly, professional, competent and conscientious. The bikes were in great shape, rode very smoothly, and the route they suggested gave us exactly the type of excursion we were looking for... We thoroughly enjoyed our ride and will definitely be back next time were in the area.

Rented a high performance bike for a day. Once I started riding the gears were slipping like crazy. The dropper post (specialized command IR) would not return to top position without being lifted. I sucked it up and finished the loop. Upon returning to the shop the guy who inspected the bike implied that I had something to do with it being a poorly tuned bike? Needless to say my next 3 days of rentals went to another shop that had dialed in high end bikes and great customer service.**following this incident in 2017 Alex made the effort to reach out to me and provide a refund and a generous resolution to make up for it. Mistakes happen, how you deal with it matters the most! They have re-earned my trust and future business...thanks Alex and Nate!**

Had the unfortunate experience of breaking my dropper lever on a trip to Sedona. Looked this shop up and noticed the good reviews so I decided to peep it. Shop was extremely clean and well organized. Ole dude helped me out in a split as soon as I walked in. I had a no name brand lever and it literally broke into two pieces. Chris the main dude, took a look at it and macguyvered a fix by rolling up to ace hardware and getting a bolt and washer to put my lever back together. He actually fixed it better than it was stock and didn’t charge me an arm and a leg. The service was so good my buddies and I decided to buy shirts and a hat to support the shop more. This is what bike shops should be about, this one sets the standards extremely high.

Outstanding service! We arrived for the Christmas weekend to ride mountain bikes and found my wifes brakes jammed up when we arrived. Absolute Bikes service guys got it on the stand and fixed it while I waited including a once-over and headset adjustment. Cant get same day service like that very often, thanks guys!
