I had a great experience while recently purchasing a used 2014 Volvo XC90 from JTL. All Staff is genuine, knowledgeable and fair from front-of-house to the paperwork. Rick, who drove me to Mavis Discount Tires up the road to show me the car (they were putting four brand new tires on it) let me test drive the car till I was comfortable. John (the grandson of the original owner (60-year-business!)) helped explain financing and all of the paperwork. Their inventory is strongly vetted, serviced and maintained. If you have good credit, their interest rates are unbeatable. Solid team selling solid cars. Highly recommend.

I have bought a few vehicles, new and used, and I am so comfortable with my entire experience at JTL. We went car shopping on a Friday evening, got there late, wanted to see vehicles in daylight. Went shopping again on Sunday from Smithtown to Selden on 25. Saw many cars, many dealers, ended up at JTL again, we were in lot, Rick spotted us pulled out vehicle we were looking, without saying hi, without asking, gave keys to my wife and told us to test drive. Our entire experience was calming, easy, any issues addressed. Their stock was very good, prices are on track. Carmine their finance Manger handled it all, you can tell hes been around the block, knowledgeable, personable, not pressuring, comforting. They have their own repair facility, where I am friendly with one of their techs, unbeknownst to me before going their, and I know hes a great tech. If I had to sum up in on word my entire experience at JTL auto sales it would be, comforting.

A little over a year ago I was in an accident. Which what dose that mean I needed a new car .. well I went to about 6 other places before coming to JTL. I started looking and was greed right away by a very nice older gentleman. He asked what I was looking for and my price range and since I have 3 kids I needed a bigger car and was looking for a SUV. The gentleman showed me 2 cars and than went to the 3rd car a 2013 Pathfinder which was beautiful. I knew the moment I sat in it that I wanted it and had to have it. They were very nice and easy to work with, they were also very accommodating with me having to bring my 1.5 year old with me. They treated us like we were family. And made it the cheapest payment plan they could get! I was there for 3 hours and before you knew it I was on my way with my new/used car. I couldnt be happier. I am glad that I decided to buy my car from them and meet such a wonderful group of people. They are always there when you call and need them. After an exhausting 2 and a half week search for a used truck within my budget, I was fed up with used car dealerships and their shady ways of doing business. I had all but given up after visiting at least 2 or 3 dealerships a day. Finally one day as I was driving down middle country rd I saw a suburban parked at JTL. I called to get the info and spoke to one of the salesmen named Rick. He was professional and personable. He invited me down to take a test drive and I decided to put a deposit on the truck. There were a couple of mechanical issues, which the dealership fixed without hesitation. I COULD NOT have been happier with my experience. Everyone I met was courteous and professional. Rob in the service department was phenomenal as well. I dont give 5 star ratings very often but JTL has earned it and most definitely earned my recommendation and future business. Thanks for showing me that there is still at least one trustworthy and reliable used car dealership out there...it is greatly appreciated.

Top used car dealership on the island. Had nothing but a great experience when buying my car. Everyone at JTL works together and you can really feel theyre there to help.. no hidden fees.. no nonsense.. just trying to help you get a quality car (which they have many of) without ripping you off. AJ wasnt a pushy salesman, just facilitated the whole process. A few hours (mostly waiting on my loan approval/car insurance update) and I was out of their with a registered Jeep that I love. Honestly, it was my first time buying a car and in hindsight was a total ripped off. The interest on the car was absurd and the car was not worth the price they were selling it for. If I knew the info I know now I wouldnt have bought anything from them. The sales people were nice, but the business practices are shady. I understand that dealers need to make a profit but its disgusting how they low key do it. I dont even write reviews, but please buyer beware. Go somewhere else. They really are sleazy sales people. All I can say is my buying experience last month at JTL Auto Sales was thoroughly enjoyable & painless. I was pleased with the price negotiations & they went out of their way to make sure any defects or mechanical repairs were done to my satisfaction...who does that? He even went out of his way to find me a lower interest rate on my loan & after I had owned the car for a month, he arranged to fix a minor repair, not covered by the warranty, at no charge...who does that? This is my second car from JTL and my family will soon be buying their fourth, the dealership is only getting better as time goes on. The staff are extremely personable and eager to help. The process couldnt be easier and unlike other dealerships Ive gone to JTL didnt have some exorbitant dealer fee; I paid the price listed online plus sales tax and the cost of switching my registration over. Everything I wanted done with the car before I purchased it was facilitated by Erik the manager, AJ in sales broke down everything about the process for me so I was never left feeling confused, Carmine who finalized the purchase was very honest and not pushy when it came to extra coverage options, and finally Rob in service quickly and painlessly fixed me up and sent me on my way when there was a fluke issue after purchase. Even now they are working with me to find affordable options for extra keys and other third party businesses, Couldnt have picked a better business!

STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP.The Worst customer service ever.I would give it NO stars if I could.They charge top dollar for the cars and push you on the warranty.Once you’re out of their shop they have no recollection of who you are - they treat you like NOBODY even though you purchased from them.Once you purchase from them and leave their shop that’s it. Don’t expect any help regarding your business. Once they get ur $ They have no motivation to help you afterwards. Love these guys. We have two cars from them, and they have wonderful customer service. Despite both cars being well outside of Lemon Law applicability, they have fixed any problems that have arisen in the first year, and for my vehicle, they even included towing. They are very straight with you, and even though the prices are a little high on the KBB value, they are still reasonable given the express warranty that is given. Also, if you give a referral, they give the referror a reward.

Opposed to most dealerships there is NO vibe of each salesman playing cut throat for the next sale, so that right off the bat made for an at ease vibe. Everyone here has been extremely helpful. Eric specifically made us feel like family. Best experience Ive had buying a car yet.

This place is the WORST Auto sales/service business I have ever encountered. I bought a car from them two years ago and it was constantly falling apart. My boyfriend bought a Truck from them in April and already it has been in the shop TWICE. This most recent time is because while driving on the highway, the car SHUT OFF and the ENGINE died. Now theres a hole in the engine. Can this happen when the new driver has only had it for 3500 miles? When they PROMISE to do a full inspection on every part prior to taking the car home after purchase? Not only that but when we called the sales department, the manager on duty actually yelled at me and told me to call the company the warranty is through because its not their problem. And what the f***k do you want me to do about it? Then I call and ask for the service department to get an update on the car and they disconnect the call and then when I call back the answering machines were put on. The next day I call and ask for the service department and again I get transferred to a voicemail and every time I called after that (mind you its 2pm on a weekday) there is no answer. THIS COMPANY IS THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL BUSINESS I HAVE EVER COME ACROSS. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM OR YOU WILL SORELY REGRET IT.

JTL staff were incredible to work with... made a great deal worth driving over 1600 mile round trip. Im online looking to see what they have now. Next time Ill take more time to enjoy the town.

I made an inquiry about purchasing a car, I am not a car person and know nothing about them. I was helped by Jeffery who helped me pick out a car that was in my price range, excellent mileage and a style I liked. The process to purchase was incredibly easy and while John was finishing up my paperwork Eric, one of the salesmen brought me out to the car and went through all the details and perks of the car I was purchasing. I will only buy from JTL from now on, they treat all their customers like family.

Very shady place. Vehicle details didn’t match what was listed on the website. They offered me a decent price for the vehicle but the interest was about the same as the vehicle lol. Like buying two cars. The interest rate was about 3-4% but they wouldn’t give me a breakdown of said interest. You’re better off going to an actual dealership.

Best dealership I have EVER dealt with! I loved working with JTL Auto Sales Inc. My salesman was Carmine and I have to say he made this long distance sale go so smoothly and had an answer for every question. He worked with my work schedule and everyone else I talked to during the process of buying it were honest and genuinely cared about helping me. I doubt I will be having to buy another vehicle any time soon (Because Corsicas generally run FOREVER and this only has 40,099 miles on it....so say maybe in 20+years...) but I would highly recommend this dealership. I live in Kansas and buying accross country and expected a lot of hassle and allot of bumps in the road, but I can safely say that everyone at JTL Auto Sales helped smooth the way for me and I couldnt be happier!Update: I received my Purple Corsica in great shape, and could not be more pleased with my new to me car :) I am going to have fun working on my own car again....The car is sturdy and in great shape but as with any car 24 years old, parts wear out or dry out....even my dad who strongly dislikes Corsicas in general was impressed with my Corsica and said it was great find!

We bought a 2008 Hyundai Sonata for our son. We had been looking for several weeks and finding nothing but dishonest sales people. The folks at JTL were very up front. Our mechanic gave the Hyundai the thumbs up and we were able to agree on a fair price. None of this finding the price to be 1500$ more than what was listed on the internet. I would highly recommend JTL Auto.

Walking through the car lot my wife found a 2014 Ford Focus that she fell in with. AJ and Eric hooked us up the the right lender getting us an affordable rate and payment schedule. We are very happy with their attention to our financing requirements and their selection of vehicles.

Have the cars checked by a mechanic!!!!! We have purchased two trucks from them and both have needed transmissions in less than a year. My current truck I purchased less than 5 months ago and the transmission is shot. When I brought the truck home and had to add 2 quarts of Tranny fluid I should have suspected something. My mistake..Don’t repeat my mistake. Have the cars checked by a mechanic before the warranty runs out.

Horrible service I got not one but 2 cars from them the first one was a 2008 infinity g37s which was chipped and had a bunch of race modification they failed to tell us and was very unsafe to drive and gave me a huge issue about exchanging cars we literally had to fight with them and threatened to get a lawyer involved before they changed there mind. Now I have a 2013 Nissan Maxima with a lot of problem ( needs an axel and ac compressor now) and every time I go there for service they jerk you around and will do everything to cover everything that’s not under the warranty. Don’t buy a car here you will get nothing but problems and horrible service worst service and treatment of customer ever

John Jones was very helpful in my particular situation. I would recommend anyone who is looking to purchase a used car to purchase one from him. I purchased a chrysler town and country from him but I was unable to pay the payments, he was kind enough to take the van back and return my deposit. JTL had customer service that is outstanding. Looking forward to purchasing another car in the future.

This the second time we have come here for a car. Everytime we have had a wonderful experience. Everyone is friendly knowledgeable. I cant say enough good things about this dealership.

My father had a great experience with them and so I went back.When you decide to make a purchase of a used vehicle you must have common sense. There are many unknowns that at times will unfortunately come out after the purchase. If you want a brand new vehicle you dont have to drive too far to get one. My assumption is if you are buying a car from them you are unable to buy a brand new vehicle.I just drove a way with what I think is a pretty great deal, in addition, they worked to get me out of a current deal I was upside down on. My thoughts are they dont make much money on each sale, rather they make money on many sales. This only happens when you are reliable and stand buy your word. Again, common sense, nobody is perfect. I actually bought a car I thought had four wheel drive, only to find out it didnt before signing. This wasnt intentional, it was a mistake, and guess what, because of their ability to admit they were wrong, I left with the car knowing if my experience in fowl weather should hinder me from getting from point A to point B, I can return and trade that vehicle in for another. This doesnt happen and wouldnt happen with any other. Again, if you are buying a car from them, you probably cant get a new one, and thats not their fault its yours or whoever screwed up your credit. I may be premature with posting this but after only a week of driving, Im pretty damn happy with my car. At this point I will be returning for another some day in the future.Thanks JTL. Auto Sales. A.J. was my sales person. He came in earlier than he was scheduled to set me up with a test drive. Eric was the next gentlemen that I was introduced to. Eric was very knowledgeable and was willing to share his knowledge. He was very helpful and honest. A.J., Eric and John made this purchase so easy. It felt like a family place, you didnt have to worry. I never got the feeling I would get from other dealers like am I getting a horrible deal are they taking advantage of me. The experience was awesome.I highly recommend stopping in and seeing what they have to offer.

Purchased a 2010 Volvo XC90 in Septmber 2018, and was very happy with the entire experience.They allowed a long test drive. They listened to my concerns over some of their bad reviews, and gave another side to the story. They allowed my highly active 5yr old son to walk around (SUPERVISED, of course!!) in the offices, with no complaints or even side-eye!This place really isnt your normal used car lot.Overall, a great experience, and I recommend this place.
