Ive been dealing with a lot of unnecessary stress and hassle from the 84 Lumber in Sevierville, TN.I own a rental cabin in Gatlinburg and I needed to update all the windows so I decide to go with 84 Lumber. On July 5th, I ordered my windows and planned to have them installed by my handyman on August 16th. I called 84, a week before that date. They didnt even know who I was at first and I was told that the day I made the order, their system crashed and my order did not go through. I had to apologize to my handyman that is installing my windows because I needed to schedule it another day.So we got it scheduled for the week of September 15th. I called 84 again, two weeks before and they didnt remember or know how many windows I purchased, so there was one window missing from the order. I ask my handyman how much he would charge to come out a separate time to install the single window and he said it would be $300 more. I agreed. Now the single window will not arrive until September 28th.This is a vacation rental that I own, which is around $120 a night. Ive had to block off 2 dates to get the windows installed and subconsequently, will have to block off another date for the single window that is arriving a week and a half later.On the day of the (1st) delivery, Tuesday, September 17th, they dropped the windows off at the wrong location. My handyman had to call them Wednesday morning and discovered they had dropped them off across the street. Not only did they drop my order off at the wrong location, my handyman informed me that they gave me the wrong screens, as well. So I talked to the co manager, John Hanmontree, Wednesday, September 18th and he only offered me a $100 discount for all the trouble this has caused me and my business.84 Lumber did not mess up one or two times, but a total of four times and they expect me to pay $200 out of my pocket for their mistakes since it will cost an extra $300 for my handyman to install the single window.So in all, my order was delayed, because of their systems, they forgot one of my windows, the order was dropped off at the wrong location, and the screens were not the correct ones. Meanwhile, costing me more time and money than I ever planned on just to update my cabins windows. This should have never been as complicated or messed up as it has been.I am not the typical person to give a bad review or speak negative on other businesses, but if I didnt have to spend money out my pocket for 84s mistake I would have just dealt with the trouble and let it be. To say I am frustrated is an understatement! After all this, I will definitely not be using their business in the future.
