Always enjoy this store. If there is a knife made that they dont sell I would be surprised. Any sort of knife from $5.00 to over $500.00. And they do sell more than knives, they also sell clothing (move to the top floor now) and guns and ammo (moved to the basement now) and they also have lots of kitchen items as well. You can easily spend a couple of hours looking through the store which we do on every trip to this part of Tennessee. Highly recommend stopping and browsing, their staff has always been excellent.I love to get the silver kitchen knives of different kinds when we go and also love to shop in the Relic Room. I found a gorgeous pink tree of life pendant to make set with. And stones to turn into a yard decoration with wire and a branch.

If you love knives and guns, this is the ace for you. Great staff that are very helpful.The selection here of knives is the best Ive ever seen. They can cover most any price point and quality level.They also have a quality selection of kitchen knives.I stopped the first time for an hour and was overwhelmed by the selection. Came back another day for a couple hours and bought what I wanted.

I was surprised to find a huge selection of rocks and minerals in this shop. Almost no one was wearing masks (including employees), but that was to be expected in TN. Pricing seems relatively on par for everything you would expect. Lines didn’t move very fast because it seems like they use very old register systems in the relic room. Hard to figure out where you are and where to find things, but it was a fun stop!

The store itself was awesome. However, I encountered some less than stellar customer service. I came in to check out everything, but was specifically interested in handling different sized Microtech knives to see which felt best. When I approached Seth at the counter and asked if I could handle different sizes to see what I would like he asked do you just want to play with them or do you want to buy? I said both potentially, but I was just interested in checking them out first. He then proceeded to ask if it was okay to help another customer who walked up after me because he wanted to help people who actually wanted to buy something. He got to me shortly after and was friendly enough, but said he would only show me a couple since he wanted to get to customers interested in buying something even though I was the only one at the counter. Anyway, after that he showed me several knives and it was a good interaction that ended up with me making a purchase I am very happy with. I enjoyed the store, but I didnt like that I was originally treated as a waste of time for wanting to be shown several knives if I wasnt going to make a purchase.

If you are into knives/sharp things, guns(lots and lots of guns), and military things...heck if you are just looking for nice kitchen knife, this is your kind of a place!They have pretty much every major brands(Gerber, Benchmade, Kershaw, etc) of knives here. There are so much to see and ask questions. The sales staff are very KNOWLEDGABLE. I was literally staring at over 50-70 pocket knives - the sale guy ask me, ...is there any particular thing you want? I answered, ...how about open assist? My sale guy pretty know EVERY knife memorized in that display!I could easily spend OVER 3 hours shopping here...Keep in mind - I am a GUY who HATES shopping. The woman related by marriage was horrified EVERY single child in my house bought something from this place! She still cant believe I let my children run amoke over 3 hours in that store...Just trust me, go.

This place is so overrated. Its a cool store for men but not so much for women. Had no bullets that my husband was looking for. Everything is overpriced. It was so overcrowded!!

The store is huge, overwhelming. If there was a a knife you needed, I’m sure they had it. Prices are comparable to online stores of the same type of knives, no savings really. Staff assisted me with knowledge of the knives and helped my choose what I needed and explained guarantees. I am happy with the purchase as it was a gift for my son. Guns, ammo and so much more. They seemed to have whatever you may need, prices were not any cheaper than anywhere else. Some higher. The basement area has kitchen gadgets and anything you may need for your kitchen. Again, prices were not any cheaper than other places. We enjoyed walking around and checking out the many items available. I liked the old water wheel mill in the center of the store. Over all decent visit. We made a few purchases. Many stuffed critters like you would see at other sporting goods stores. Looked nice.

This review is for the wives who dont want to watch their husbands look at knives and guns all day, but are going along anyway. Knife Works has every kind of knife at every price range, yes, but it also has things for people who dont care about knives. The whole basement section of Knife Works is full of kitchen supplies, home goods/accents, gifts, personalized gifts, snacks, canned/pickled goods, a variety of sauces, treats, kids toys, souvenirs, and more. My mother in law got me a small, red handled knife from the kitchen section of this store that I feel like could saw a brick and not get dull. I was scared to use it the first several times, and now its my go-to knife.So, yes, Knife Works has something for everyone.

This place is massive!! It is more than likely the biggest knife store Ive ever been too. It has tons of different brands at variety of prices and qualities. Smoky Mountain Knife Works is not just a knife store however. They have guns, ammo, camping supplies, and, my personal favorite, the relic room. I highly recommend stopping by this place.

Ordered a Ka-Bar D2 in gray. Received the black version. Ok...not a deal breaker. However, two days after I ordered it the item went on sale for $25.00 cheaper. So since I was sent the wrong item, but decided Ill keep it, I asked if I could get the $25.00 price adjustment applied to another knife I wanted. They wouldnt do it. They wanted me to send back their mistake (they would cover the shipping) wait for a refund and then reorder. First time I ever had an online store not give a price adjustment, seeing as they would get to keep the $25 anyway and just apply to anther knife.Theres plenty of places to shop online. I tried SMKW, it was ok. Will I shop there again? If theyre the only place that has what I need? Maybe.

I placed an online order for a Keychain knife. I wasnt expecting the order to be processed so quickly! It was a gift for my significant other and it looks great.I was also surprised by all the stickers inside the packaging. Havent been here since I was a young boy, but I remember it well! Took the kids and spent entirely too much money, but worth every penny to patron even a large company like this instead of an online megacorp. Staff seemed a bit overwhelmed, but we did go on the first warm Saturday of the year.

Fantastic place with SO much to see. Beautiful knives in all price ranges and you can also get any blade engraved for an additional fee. The engraver really worked hard to give exactly what we wanted. Great staff, they were all so helpful.

Awesome to walk around and see all the interesting things in the store. Large range when it comes to prices of knives so you can find the perfect pick for anyone. The gun section was also nice thought I wish there was more signage regarding details. Would recommend to anyone passing through.

I had a blast looking at all the knives, cooking gadgets, older military collections, etc. I was not expecting such a huge variety with good service. Prices are good too. I had to force myself to leave so that I would stop spending!

Love walking through here! It literally has something for everyone. The kitchen section is wonderful from their pans and of course their knifes. Plus a bit a history looking at everything. They have a great selection of knifes!

Cool place with lots to buy. But no help to actually buy a knife.

They have an amazing selection and prices of knives, for all budgets and special hobbies/interests. It’s also really fun to look around at everything, but the biggest thing for me is the crystal selection. They have the most vast selection of crystals and I would recommend going there just for that. If you need any particular crystals for healing or other purposes, they most likely have what you need and clearly specify the benefits of each crystal.

Great place to find knives, guns, or ammo. Knowledgeable employees, good deals and great customer service. Bought a couple of Case knives there and love them.

We have Visited a many of days.. We actually spent a lot of money in the gun store. As they stapled All bags shut and taped them as well as stapled receipt to bright red bag as well. WHUCH IS DONE TO THEM ALL! BUT thats not the problem... We started to notice several workers following me and my buddy around the store or they was upstairs watching over or peeking around racks or displays I have never in my life felt so crazy Their OR like I had done wrong even though I know I hadnt. And had just spent a load 9f money in their.... Just wanted to let you know We wont be back.. We dont need.anything in their bad enough to steal it, If we did we sure as H3ll wouldnt have Paid as much for the several sealed bags of things we DID.... We are done here.. If theft is that big of a problem install cameras have plain clothes or Just stop treating everybody like theives.. YALL SERIOUSLY NEED SOME TRAINING..

This knife shop is amazing! You can spend a day looking around and find everything you want. The basement is a perfect place for young kids and wives.

A lot of knives obviously. Displayed well on walls and in lit glass cases. Multiple manufacturers from less expensive to better knives such as Boker (a personal favorite). Additional outdoor items and blades weapons such as spears, tomahawks and swords. They are busy and it may take some time to get help but the personnel are polite and helpful. There is good parking especially on the sides and around back.

This place is absolutely amazing. Walking in its a little bit overwhelming to say the least. So much under one roof. Despite the size of the store and the large number of visitors the staff were all eager to help. Very good customer service. Visited twice, 08-02-21 and 08-06-21 and made purchases each time. This place is amazing. Stop! You wont be disappointed. Something for all ages and hobbies. Want a knife, they have it. Into WWII collecting, they have it. Want a Peruvian Butterfly collection, theyve got that too. Total tourist trap but its great!

They had a large selection of knives and other weapons and you could browse for hours, but, when you find a knife you wanted, you would have to wait around for awhile. Lots of antiques and cool items you wouldnt be able to find anywhere else, I reccomend a visit.

Great Store, many option. Only problem is the store is heavily trafficked so getting some attention from an Employee takes a minute but at no fault of the establishment. They are great at what they do and what they have to offer.

I have ordered 2 knives a year (presents for my sons who collect them) from SMKW for the past 13 years. I received my most recent purchase and the Case emblem fell out when I unwrapped it. I called to ask for either a small return toward purchase or a replacement with return shipping to be covered by them, since its damaged. They would only send me a replacement but I had to pay for return shipping on the damaged knife. Not a good business practice if you ask me. I will make all future purchases from a local Case dealer, which has a much smaller inventory, but at least Ill see what Im buying first.

Cancelled my order 7.62x39 ammo order. I am guessing the reasons is I got it cheap before the news came out and they know they can make more money. Great way to do business

So crowded. The staff tried to be helpful but they needed more employees. I didnt get to look at everything I wanted to. But great selection and prices!

I had a great time at the store. The employees were all very helpful and friendly. They weren’t pushy like some of the other stores I’ve been to. They also have a plethora of other things if you’re not as interested in knives. A Native American museum, fossils, artifacts, relics, camping supplies. You can spend a ton of time here and still feel like there’s more to see. Can’t wait to come back one of these days.

Overall very fun store to look around in spent a few hours and not sure if we seen everything there was to see. Like everywhere after covid certain areas were short staffed but staff was very friendly and helpful! Would highly recommend to all my friends and family to check out Smokey Mountain Knife Works when in town.

Too touristy. I love ordering from SMKW, was camping in Smokies and just had to stop in. Dont get me wrong, I love SMKW and will still order knives online, but I cant do the tourist stop. Bus loads of people, dont really have time to look otherwise you block up the isle and selection was thin.on some brands.

Been going to this place since I was a kid. One time, I spent 6hrs in here just looking at all of the stuff hanging on the walls and in the displays. This place is 60% store, 40% museum of an unbelievable selection of treasures, animals and cultures from around the World and across time. Just an absolutely amazing place for people from all walks of life and all ages. The best free museum Ive ever been too, and in the basement, you can actually buy pieces of antiquity! No joke! Ancient coins, arrowheads, dinosaur fossils...No joke!! I wish I lived closer, Id probably take a pay cut to work there.

Love stopping here when passing through. They seem to have less merchandise than previous trips. Still alot to look at. We stopped on a Thursday around 230ish. Not as crowded as in the past.

Believe all the good things people say in there reviews. This place was unbelievable! Great customer service and the selection is unequaled! Went and spent 2 hours and had to come back the next day for another 2 hours just to see everything. Anything you want connected to blades will be there, do yourself a favor set aside lots of time to look at the entire store.

Do not buy anything from these scam artists. I found a knife with a sticker showing a price of about $20. When I got to the register, they rang me up for over $200. Despite the price tag plainly stating $20, the cashier spoke with a manager who confirmed that it didnt matter what the advertised price was, the sticker price didnt mean squat; pay $200 for the knife or take your business elsewhere. So thats what I did.Treat the place like a museum. Its nice to go and look, but dont expect anything to be affordable. Total rip off. Would rate zero stars if that were possible. Dont take your mistakes out on the customer.

Lots of hype, but just didnt live up to it. Very erratic layout, hard to really see everything, and seemed very random. Prices were actually pretty high on most stuff, and a lot of it was stuff you would get at the local gas station, and the name brand stuff was much cheaper super going through the brands. Was VERY crowded and hot to the point we just wanted to get out.

Im only giving Smoky Mountain Knives a two-star only because they sell too much chinese-made stuff. Other than that customer service is fantastic theyre always friendly and if you do buy something they ship it quickly. Sorry Smoky Mountain Knives I wish you sold more American-made stuff

This place has so much to choose from, and many interesting items. You can get lost in this place so remember what for you came in! They had guns, many knives, hunting supplies, fun signs for posting, kids toys, old and new items. Rocks off all kinds, clothes, hats. For whatever reason, I cant open manual folding knives with thumb studs. So I was searching for flipper opening manual folding knife that isnt too expensive and not too cheap. Then I came across Artisan Cutlery Mini Shark in copper which was SMKW exclusive. I prefer metal scales and always wanted copper scales. Buying this saved me money for not buying aftermarket scales later. On SMKW website photo, you barely see copper color as its blown away by flash. When I first opened it, I really like the color. Flipper opening was much smooth and easier for me. And the pocket clip has good retention where I can easily put on jeans pocket which is another savings of not having to buy aftermarket clip. And D2 blade is very decent blade. Yes, its made in China, but I like everything about it and highly recommend it. It is bit heavy compared to ones with FRN/G10 grips, but I like it.

This place has everything knife-related you need and lots of things you dont need but want anyway. Some awesome antique collections and the relic room is amazing. We spent 3 hours in here without even realizing it until I started getting hungry and looked at the time! Some of the staff were a little rude but we didnt let that ruin our experience. This place is a must every time we visit this area.

Amazing! My family and I come to pigeon forge pretty much every year, and every year we come to SMKW on the way home. Its all around so cool and amazing to just walk around and see everything. I got a CRKT knife today and Tanner B. helped me, and he never stopped smiling, he was super helpful, and most of all he knew what he was talking about. I love to see all of those things in employees, and its hard to find personable people. Thank you!!

I am currently sitting in the parking lot. I wanted to write this before I left. The staff is incredibly helpful. The store organization made sense to me but my wife was lost. I came in looking for a specific knife, no one seemed to have heard of it. I went to the custom knife counter and spoke to a lady whos name starts with a B I must apologize because I didnt remember her name. She looked stated that the knife I was looking for was not in and then helped us find the kitchen section for my wife. She then went out of her way to check the stock room found the knife barried under other stock then found me in the kitchen section, and showed me the knife! Absolutely exemplary customer service! Excellent blade VTAC Crusader and something I will remember for a long time. I will be back! Thanks

It’s a very big store (and it was crowded) so I didn’t look at everything but I was very interested in the crystals because they had many pretty ones! They also have many historical pieces you can purchase as well along with many other stuff they have for sell. I bought a pair of angel fish earrings for $6 which isn’t too bad. In my opinion it’s worth a stop by especially if you’re here to tour! (And they have cool displays)

One of the many unusual and interesting items at the Relic room located downstairs at Knife Works. So much more than just guns and knives (but that has expanded as well). Takes hours to look at everything. Definitely worth planning time to browse. Great kitchen area downstairs also.

On several occasions Ive come here to buy one specific item. Each time Ive changed my mind and got something different because theres always something better down the next aisle. Definitely the biggest and coolest Nike store I have ever been to there is plenty of Staff they are all very friendly and will show you anything you want to see their knowledge of knives is incredible. They even had my favorite Cold Steel pocket machete.I cannot emphasize how nice this stories and how nice all of the staff members are. I did learn that 4 years ago Tennessee abolished all knife laws so you can have any knife you want to have I think Tennessee is great if you are a law-abiding citizen.

Awesome selection of knifes and the prices are great. But it closes too early the only thing I dont like is the butterfly knife selection is not great. And the costumer service is a regular experience.

I love this place! It is the only place you can examine and hold all the knives your read about or see in catalogs. I pass that way once a year and ALWAYS stop and downs at LEAST $100. This time was no different.

This is a fun store to wander around in. Most items are really expensive BUT there is a ton of stuff on sale so there is something for everyone. This place is so much more than knives! Its enormous first floor is filled with a million other things - kitchen supplies, gourmet jams and sauces, childrens toys and even a stage with huge animatronic animals who play and sing! Well worth the visit...
