Where to begin....as soon as we entered with our large group the staff immediately mumbled under their breath as to what I’m assuming as to the size of our large group with children....oh my god! We followed them around the entire time they are children there are cheap children’s toys I. Their at extremely inflated prices. It’s a souvenir type shop where I assumed children were welcome. We were followed around the entire time while the kids looked the ladies would fluff stuffed animals. About halfway through the store the OWNER didn’t approach us but behind the counter said this isn’t school. Not exactly sure what that meant but it wasn’t received well by 3 SETS of parents. We were asked to leave unknowingly why our kids were looking and touching but not disrespectful, curious and playful. We had every intention to o make a purchase we came out of our way to go to the store but after the treatment we wouldn’t spend a dollar at that place. The owner followed us out to our vehicle to take our license plate when in turn my husband backed up and gave it to her we seriously did nothing wrong. Maybe the owner and most of her staff are in the wrong business because clearly an overpriced souvenir shop that sells children’s items is NOT your fire’.Sincerely,Mama Bear
I was very disappointed in the way the owner treated a family today! I watched as this family walked through shopping happily while their children who were picking out toys... The children were enjoying their experience until the owner came and forcefully snatched the items out of the childrens hands. It was not only disappointing but insulting. She asked the children to not touch her merchandise. The look on the young childrens faces was enough to make me drop the items I planned on buying and just walk out. The parents were with those children every step of the way. They were respectful and extremely excited. I know this because I too found enjoyment in watching the excitement they had in being able to select a toy. It was the worst experience Ive ever had.
Love it found some moccasins and a sweater. Loved the jewelry. This is a must stop and shop
Best customer service hands down love this place an stop everytime we are in town
The store was great, huge variety of Native American stuff.Only downfall staff was a bit rude as it was 10 minutes from closing and they kept repeating they were closing, and we could come back tomorrow, and shutting lights off at certain areas of the store. Rather than letting the people already inside the store finishing shopping. We are visiting out of state and it would of been nice to not been rushed out the store, I understand they close at 5 pm, but again as I mentioned if people are already in the store prior to 5 pm they should let those people finish shopping.
I really enjoyed this store and the ladies were very friendly and helpful
We go there every time we come to Gatlinburg. Not the cheapest but they do have quality products
Extremely way over priced especially since most, if not all of the stuff isnt even authentically made by Native Americans. If it isnt made by the Cherokee then it shouldnt be sold at The Cherokee Trading Post. We drove out of the way heading towards SC only to leave in tears knowing all these decades later we are still stealing from the Natives.
I’m visiting from Orlando and got to stop in. I was excited when I saw the huckleberry jam and spent $10 on a jar. As soon as I opened it, I smelled chemicals which I thought was odd but proceeded to put some on a biscuit. The first taste I got in my mouth is the chemicals that I smelled. Either this stuff is rancid or it is made with so many weird chemicals to keep it solid you don’t want to eat it. Whatever you do, do not buy this. Quite frankly I noticed the company that produces this, which isn’t named it just says it is made for the store, was selling numerous jams and other jarred goods. I wouldn’t recommend buying any one of them.
I love to go Cherokee Trading Post great place to buy beautiful jewelry and they have a good selection of clothing.
Enjoyed this place. The ladies were most helpful and treated us great. They put our baby moccasins at counter to hold as we shopped it helped us have free hands and protects owner from theft Im sure ( was not offended) there are some unique items in the store. I could have stayed longer but we were pressed for time and we went there specifically for toddler moccasins but found a few other things. Customer service was A1!!! The store is clean. There is no public restroom there we did not need it but I heard others complain. Maybe at some point a port a pot will be placed out back for those who are angry about the bathroom . But we had a great experience. We will come through again in the fall or spring and will be back.
This place is excellent! Its a great find.I found it on our way out. They have a great selection of everything.
This is my favorite store. Such a great variety of gifts. Lots of hand made items. Everything was fairly priced. Clean store. Super friendly and helpful staff. I cant wait to come back.
The place was great! I would definitely tell anyone to stop by there. There is something for everyone!
No restrooms, they have camera, cool stuff with maximum mark up of price. Now there is some quality workmanship if you dont care of cost. Like the Cherokee blankets r nice quilts well you can look at em and feel em for yourself. Lots to look at. So pee at Dollar General before you go.
I had to get some turquoise while I was in the Smokies. They got a little of everything. 👍
Lots of great gifts for everyone. Well displayed and friendly staff. My go to gift store.
If Native American is your ideal, they have plenty to satisfy you.
The store is nice but the prices are very expensive. We stopped in because of the huge “moccasins” sign painted on top of the building. There weren’t many to choose from and the prices on them were VERY expensive.
Very nice store. Friendly and kind staff. We joked around and had a few laughs. Large selection and good quality.
Not what I was expecting at all. I didnt really feel welcomed. The items were pricey and werent authentic. Reading some of the other reviews about the owner, in my opinion she doesnt seem to be a very nice person. I wouldnt recommend going there. I was really disappointed.
Attentive staff and good selection. Didnt have husbands size moccasin
There are so many beautiful Native American pieces here. I loved the handwoven bowls, jewelry and pottery. The prices are reasonable and they feature a variety of goods. Im so glad we had the chance to visit.
Very nice store and friendly service. A huge variety of gifts.
I love this place! Everytime we are in Tennessee we stop. They have nice gifts and they are affordable! Very nice people!
Great store. Pretty jewelry among a bunch of great merchandise. Great service too. So friendly
Had everything we were looking for I personally would thank the staff for all the help and friendliness
Staff and owners were extremely rude. My 10 year old accidentally knocked over a couple of wallets while he was looking to buy a wallet with his birthday money and the owner yelled at him and made him uncomfortable. My son has Tourette’s and anxiety, she certainly ruined a happy experience and my sons day he was so anxious for the rest of the day. Unfortunately he did not tell me until after HE SPENT HIS OWN MONEY and we were in the car. The owner also talked extremely rudely about other customers as my husband was checking out. We didn’t realize how bad the experience was and wish we never gave them our money we spent quiet a bit. We will NEVER GO BACK AGAIN. Such a poorly ran business in a tourist area I do not understand why someone would be so rude and degrade others when it is their shopping that keeps you in business.
My friend and I stumbled across this trading post on our way to myrtle beach from Iowa. We got off the exit to get gas and let our dogs out.We didnt plan on stopping anywhere else but the signs and colorful quilts hanging outside caught our eyes, and boi my friend and I were happy it did!We walked up and a VERY welcoming employee greeted us with a big smile and let us know of the wide selection of clothing, souvenirs, teas, jewelry, and many other items! The other employees at the store were very helpful and kind to us! The stores items were not very expensive either which made it even better!!!DEFINITELY A PLACE TO STOP!!! I will most definitely be going back and would recommend it to anyone traveling in the area!!
One of the oldest still remaining stores because they sell stuff other stores dont sell.
Very pleasant place to visit and Shop. Nice friendly and helpful staff. Great selection of goods and gifts.
We love this store, it actually carries real Indian products made here in the USA and not all china
Good slection. Kind of expensive. Nice people
I’m a local but somehow had never visited until this weekend, and it was well worth the stop! The sweet lady that assisted me was very knowledgeable about the jewelry- they have pieces from Navajo artists and the quality of the pieces you can find here are well worth the price. Definitely the best jewelry I’ve found in the area, and they have a good variety of other gifts as well. We will definitely visit again!
Loved this place lots of leather goods and western merchandise.
The merchandise as a strong focus on clothes, hats and shoes. The aging hippie in me still lusts after fringed buckskin jackets and fringed buckskin knee boots. Theyve got them here. Also a few blankets and such. They also have jewelry although I think I successful in distracting SWMBO from there by flopping on the floor and calling struck by lightening! struck by lighting!; Im kidding of course.Im an odd size and rarely find my hat size in stock. These folk had them. Was not made overseas either.Although the merchandise was obviously made for the tourist trade, everything looked to be of excellent quality. Each artist must take great pride in producing quality goods because this shows in the workmanship on every item. I cant comment on the jewelry though; SWMBO wouldnt let me see the prices on the jewelry. By the time we got back in the car, strangely nothing had any stickers on it. Sure is puzzling.
Best shopping in the area hands down great service and authentic native made items this was the best part of my trip
OH man loved it here. Nice staff. Beautiful store.
Wonderful as always love the store the people are so friendly
Wonderful staff and allot of great things. My grandchildren and I all liked the shopping at the Cherokee trading post
Definitely a place worth shopping at. Wondering and friendly staff and a great selection.
Awesome. Kids had a great time.
Ladies were so friendly and inviting. Has nice selection for everyone
They have a lot of unique items.
A little pricey but great store
Great souvenir shop. Friendly staff
Not a good selection of sizes on a LOT of their products for sell, nor any in stock!! VERY HIGH PRICED items, Ive seem much cheaper in other tourist stores. Looked, did not buy!!
This is a great stop. Friendly Ladies in there to help you on what you need.Great place
Bought a blanket a year ago and it is so beautiful and my favorite. Washes very well. We are going to go back this week to buy more for gifts. I also love the turquoise jewelry here and the Smokies themed items too. Thank you for a beautiful store!
Great place to take a. Break
Large selection of interesting merchandise. Prices range from only several dollars to hundreds of dollars depending on product.
This place is so cool. Very interesting inventory. Prices are reasonable and there are things for everyone. I got moccasins here and they are just so comfortable. The owner is great shes super helpful and just a great happy person.
The staff were all very friendly and super helpful. They had a great knowledge of the items that they offer. They have a wide variety items from Smoky Mountain souvenirs to native American leather goods. My one complaint that I have is that they have a limited availability of the larger sizes. Almost all of their items only went up to size large or XL. I bought a knife and buffalo leather moccasins and both of them are of great quality!
Cool stuff 😎 always a stop spot
Lot of cool things. Leather goods are very reasonable but not top quality like you would get from a good crafter so expected prices firwhat you get. Same with quilts. Not hand quilted but still nice. People were super nice. Gave 4 stars for the friendliness.
The employees are very unfriwndly and watch you like your going to take everything you touch. Always wanted to go there finally did and will never be back. They have nice things but we left because of the way we were treated
This place was awesome! I found some very unique gifts and the Indian crafted art was gorgeous!
Great store, Great variety of items, Great prices. Very friebdly.
I’ve never been treated more ruder. The owner asked the attendants to follow us because she didn’t want toys touched by the children (why have them low to entice?). I was buying 8 pr of shoes and loads of other things. The attendants told the owner we would Leave. Her response was she didn’t care. My daughter and family were offended as they heard the comments. I Asked to speak to the owner to ask what had happened. She waved me off and said the conversation was over-just leave. ???? Unbelievable. How does a person stay in business that way?? So sad. But, the good news is- there are other places to spend your money and they will be glad to serve! Try Outback Leather or other great stores in Pigeon Forge.
Nice store. Very friendly employees. Found at great pair of mens bedroom shoes at a great price. Great variety of leather products. Excellent selection of native American merchandise.
The ladies there were extremely helpful and nice
Dont by the moccasins. They are made in Indonesia cheaply made. Also over priced...
Its a relaxing atmosphere with great stuff!
Not really Native American goods per say. Mostly mass produced kitschy items. Id advise going to the actual reservation in Cherokee if youre looking for authentic items for sale. They have some beautiful jewelry and quilts here though.
Beautiful Native American goods, leather wares, tourist goods. Some very nice handbags. Friendly staff.
Love the place, should have been shopping there sooner!
Most amazing place to go and has great prices
My wifes favorite place. A must stop every time were in town
Love this store. Especially pleased to see they shrink wrap most items for covid protection
This is my favorite place to visit in Gatlinburg area (located in Siereville). The jewerly is high quality and they offer a large selection and price range. I purchased a Opal ring and one of the Opals cracked, after 2 years. I was heartbroken as it was my favorite ring and I had received so many compliments on it, so I stopped in with plans of purching a new one if available and without question they offered to take the ring with them on the next trip to reservation to have the broken Opal replaced and only charged for the repair cost. The customer service far exceeds any expectations
Friendly and lots of merchandise. I love the buckskin coats and moccasins. Wife found a t-shirt she really likes.
Owner was extremely rude. We went in with our family, and had several hundred dollars of moccasins and toys to buy. Owner made several rude comments about our family. When we asked what we had done, she said the conversation was over and we could leave. Will never shop here again and will take our money elsewhere.Per owners response.- 100% a lie. None of those events happened. There were 3 adults with the children and not a thing was broken or climbed on. You made disparaging remarks about my kids to several other employees. We asked what we had done wrong, and you couldn’t even provide us with a response. Your own workers told us that you’re always like this and tried to apologize for you. It’s amazing to me that you stay in business. After reading all the reviews on google and other sites, it’s apparent that you’ve treated numerous customers rudely.
Some seriously cool stuff. I was specifically looking for native American flutes, and they have an excellent selection. Unfortunately, I got there about ten minutes before closing time, so I didnt have time to talk myself into buying. Ill be back next time I come through town!
Lots of souvenirs and cool leathers and indian stuff
Love this place, got a lot of stuff here.
Really nice products friendly staff.
We got a leather hat and a quilt there
Loved the handmade items and there is a description of who made it.
Great selection of items, jewelry, hats, quilts, and more, something for everyone.
Its a cute site that has art from Native Americans, and other merchandise. It was neat looking around.
Amazing place for traditional blankets, bags and jewelry. Love this place and highly recommend it.
Mostly fake items. Won’t go back.
Nice shop with unique items
I absolutely love this store!!! I highly recommend checking it out
Loved the store and the employees were so friendly and helpful.
So many gorgeous items... Too many to mention. But my husband bought me a cute pair of socks and a new purse there.
Like the shop. Bought my leather wallet from there
Very interesting place to shop. I highly recommend stopping by and looking around.
Theres some cool things but eh

Always stop here when we visit. Love the products sold here. Good quality.
Nice place. Lots of different thi gs to choose from. A bit pricey on some things but thats to be expected since they are handmade.
