First time buying from this company. I always check reviews and addresses to make sure they’re legit. BBB had a few complaints but most were resolved. My personal experience is they advertise what they have in stock, and at a good price. Emailed a question Saturday night. Got a response Sunday morning and bought the gun. It shipped Monday and arrived Wednesday in perfect shape. Very happy about my purchase. 6th one this year. Smokey gets an A+

Wow! I dont think Ive ever had faster shipping. Ordered a Shield Plus on Monday evening, my order was shipped early Tuesday morning, and I picked it up from my FFL at noon on Thursday. The gun was perfect and the price was super low. Free shipping too. Smokey Mountain Guns and Ammo will definitely be my go-to dealer for future purchases.

Unlike most online gun shops these people are all that. I cant say enough about how they care and they have gone above and beyond my expectations. Always fast shipping and they will actually answer their phone. One staff member walked into the warehouse and ensured my rifle was in stock. Then walked it to the shipping department and had a tracking number within 15 minutes. FedEx still sucks however. Keep up the good work and you definitely have a lifetime customer here

I should have read the reviews before ordering, after placing an online order I had a question and called 3 times and left message on 1st call, no answer and no return call. I saw a lot of 1star ratings on the website afterwards with the same issues. I placed an order for a pistol and the site said it was in stock, after paying the site said out of stock, went back to site and found they had the same pistol with a different item # for $ 200 more, Unbelievable. Wondering if I should cancel the CC transaction ?????

Initially I received a Smith and Wesson M&P 15 that had some minor scratches that I was not happy about. This was said to have happened during manufacturing or test fire which I believe. They gladly initiated an exchange and everything went smoothly. It just took a little bit longer to get what I wanted.

Im in Minnesota, I ordered a fire arm from them, to be shipped to my FFL. The order was shipped ASAP, (1 Day), Tracking info provided to me, Their website, when you order had a ton of FFLS in my area available, save a hassle. Everything as advertised, no problems, and I called Customer service, I had a ?, got a knowledgeable answer. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Will do business again. BTW, its been awhile, been there, its 1 of the best places in AMERICA, to visit or live.

Purchased a Springfield 911 on July 3rd and it arrived today July 14, 2020. The barrel is all scratched up on the top of it and the barrel hood, typically this is after you shoot 200-300rds through it. The back of the chamber has a brass ring around it which is typically visible on a used firearm. The site shows these are new, but mine appears to be used?

Ill be honest, I was a bit skeptical initially after seeing some of the negative online reviews. However, since there werent many options to choose from online while shopping for HK MR556A1 I decided to give them a chance. And let me tell you all those negative reviews couldnt have been more wrong. My personal experience was simply phenomenal. I placed an order on Thursday morning and my order was delivered to my FFL in Florida by Saturday noon. It was one of the smoothest online purchases ever. No hassle, no hiccups and no delays. Most of those big name stores can definitely learn a thing or two from this entity when it comes to handling orders. I highly recommend these guys for any outdoor gears, tools and ammo needs. Ill be returning again soon. 😊

I called to confirm they had the gun in stock that I wanted and the gentleman I talked to confirmed they had 10 in stock. I ordered the gun online and it shipped quickly. My issue is with the gun’s condition when I received it. I expected it to be new but it seems they sent one that had been on display for a long period of time and it had been handled a lot. The gun had scratches and imperfections all over and looked used to me. I haven’t fired it yet so I’m not sure about the mechanical condition. I wish I had been told that the gun they were sending was not new in box considering they had several in stock. I probably would have bought elsewhere.

My son and I bought a gun on May 31, 2020 it was suppose to be shipped to our FFL and they have not received it yet. I have called and left several messages and no one has returned my calls. I tried to email but the email did not work that was listed on the site.We just want our gun that we paid for. And would love for some on to call us back and let us know what is going on

I have done business with SMGA for several years and have always recieved great service. I have ordered several guns from them online but since I only live about an hour or so away I just list them as my FFL and I drive to the store and pick it up. I think with them recently moving the firearms portion of the business downstairs that this will alleviate alot of the problems Ive read of some other reviewers having problems with being waited on in a timely fashion as Ive been in there many times when it was very crowded but on my recent visit with the firearms section being in the very bottom of the store now it has really made the overcrowding problem seem to disappear. I will know for sure when I go to the store tomorrow morning. Keep up the great work and I appreciate your patience.

SMGA had the M&P 2.0 4.25 FDE no thumb safety with the TRUGLO night sights model pistol for a good price. I was looking for this particular model and they had it. Very fast shipping to my state so thumbs up to that.The grip fits better in my hand than my last EDC Glock 19. Its easier for my thumb to reach the mag release. I now easily shoot straight instead of slightly to the left like with the Glock 19. If I dont make the slight compensation adjustment with my grip and trigger finger with the Glock 19, it will slightly shoot to the left due to my finger length, hand size and the design of the gun. This is personal so not everyone will experience this. This M&P2.0 is the right gun for me.Trigger is much improved over the first gen.

Stopped in on 10/24/20 to buy a specific firearm they showed in stock on their website. They were insanely busy that day, but Lacey quickly acknowledged me and offered assistance. I pointed to the firearm I wanted, she asked if I had any questions about it, and then quickly went to work getting the necessary paperwork and background check in order. She brought the firearm back, asked me to inspect it, and proceeded to chat my wife and I up as we waited to checkout. Despite the crowd and obvious frantic nature of the day, Lacey was calm and friendly, educated about firearms and very attentive. My wife and I will definitely look to SMGA and Lacey for future purchases.

Their phone system/voicemail is not a system I would ever associate with a store of this size.I called 7 times and never got through so I left a message and I was glad to receive a return call (I did not expect one).The person on the lone seemed a bit frazzled and had a handful of issues with their inventory system freezing up. Still, she was able to give me the information I needed in time.Eric was my rep in store. He asked what we were looking for and I told him it was a rifle and he immediately told us he had little experience with rifles and that he was more of a pistol guy. He was still very helpful and we were able to make the purchase without an issue.Rifle is great and I can’t wait to fire it down range.

Using the online order with Smoky Mountain Guns and Ammo was quick and easy. Customer service is fantastic. Had a small hiccup contacting but considering it was right before Christmas for an online order, understandable. Customer service contacted me via email me on Christmas Eve to help and on Christmas day to make sure I was all good. Most definitely recommend. Sometimes its hard to find companies that cares but with SMGA, your in good hands.

Very disappointing place. Help was non existent even when asking for help. Prices were high and selection very limited. Simple budget optics are behind a non manned booth and no one had time to help get a $35 optic but $50 ammo you can pick up and walk out with? Really?

Very pleased with my experience. I purchased a new AR online from SMGA on January 31, 2021 after a few months of searching online and at local stores. If it was in stock, it was overpriced. Not SMGA. They had the rifle I was looking for in stock and no price gouging. Their price was great. Like if these were normal times great. I placed my order on a Sunday evening. By Tuesday I had a tracking number and the rifle arrived in excellent condition at my FFL on Thursday. This was my first experience with SMGA and it was very good. SMGA is now one of the first online sites I check when looking for more toys.

I would recommend you avoid buying from this company. They are a terrible online business on MANY levels. I placed on online order. There was **NO confirmation email** [Though I could log in and see the order is placed]. Tell me how that even happens? I called the next day to get a status on the order. **No answer.** Left a voicemail. **No Callback**. Two weeks go by and still not a single peep from them. If youre going to buy anything from them, do it in the store. Avoid the headache of ordering online as there is **no competency** here.

This is the absolute worst place to order online from. I placed an order and selected one of THEIR listed FFL in my area. They sent the order and didn’t provide me with an accurate tracking number (said void in front) so I called and was notified it was delivered 10 days earlier. I called the FFL and he told me he received it however he cannot transfer it because he sold his business quite a while ago. I have called a total of 6 times regarding my $1300 order. The man who received the order called them 3 times and sent one email. I have also emailed. No one will call back regarding a $1300 order. This is OUTRAGEOUS! Do not waste your hard earned money. I’m sure this is also illegal of them.

Bought a handgun from them (in person) Thursday Dec 10th. I am out of state so they had to ship it to a FFL dealer in my state.....ok, no problem. They said I would get a email shipping update with tracking #. Its now been 7 days and still no email confirmation. How long does it take to put a gun in a box and have UPS or FED-X pick it up???? Ive tried calling multiple times (4x)....no one picks up. Left voice messages....no one responds. I dont think I will be buying from them again. Lousy customer support.....actually more accurately stated No Customer Support.

Good selection, good prices. May take a while to get waited on by sales personnel, most of whom are courteous and professional. Overall, my experience was positive. Was not impressed with one young sales guy who was assisting a potential customer next to me. He spoke pretentiously, but his knowledge of firearms, ammunition and sales laws was poor and inaccurate. Sharing his negative opinion of laws and other States was unprofessional.

I will not do business in this place ever again. It put the Springfield Saint, with a scope, for $279.99 and rhey did not honor that price. The order was placed Sunday night and i fot the cancelled call on Monday. They should double check their post or get professionals to do their job right and not raise the customers hopes. I know they must have many angry or upset customers because that rifle was sold out.....yeah, for the posted price.

I wish I could give you guys a better review, but this needs to be addressed. I ordered a kimber micro 9 off there website. When I was on the site it said the gun was in stock so I went ahead and ordered it. When I went to the check out and actually purchased the gun it said out of stock. I called the next business day and the guy I had spoke to said I had ordered the last one. I was thrilled because I had gotten it for a great price but I still had a feeling that it was not ordered. So I called on the third day two times and got no answer so I waited until about 8 days and finally gave them a call again and they picked up. I asked about the gun and wanted to see the shipping progress on it, so they plugged it into the computer and what happens? My order was canceled. I was extremely annoyed because one, it said it was in stock on there site, two I was told it shipped and three there was no email saying it had been canceled. So if I did not call I would have been waiting and waiting to recieve it. On top of that I have to wait 7-10 business days to get a refund and bring my money elsewhere. You definitely need to fix that on your website because Im looking now and it is saying in stock when I know for a fact it is not. Not only that it will save the headache for the customer so they dont have to wait 10 business days to get there money back. I will say your employee was very nice, and professional. It is not his fault that the gun did not ship. So to anyone looking to buy from here just be aware it may not be in stock.

I wanted to share my experience buying from SMGA. My firearm got lost during transit to my local FFL, not SMGA fault but more to do with the amount for firearms being transferred back and forth by the carrier. Anyhow, SMGA stepped up and help me with filling a claim against the carrier and maybe even reported the missing firearm to the ATF. SMGA sent out a replacement but before it got to me, magically the original firearm arrived to my FFL. Customer service was exceptional. Thank you Lindsey for all of your help and for your attention to my situation.

I bought an in stock gun on march 31st. They never sent to my ffl so I asked for a refund on may 15th. They tried saying that I would have to pay a 20% restocking fee, even though their website says only if I received it and shipped it back. Its been cancelled over 3 weeks and I still have not gotten my $799.99. Ive been trying to call them every day 3 times a day and no answer. Left a detailed message still no answer. Finally called from another number and they answered right away. They said it was my banks fault and of course that was a lie. I disputed the charge with my bank, and I still will not get my money back for another 3 months. I would never buy from them again, and I would strongly discourage anyone else to!

Have bought several guns from here but will not again. First off the customer service was horrible. Waited an hour and they were not busy. They couldn’t find the box for a gun for the person in front of me. Then they couldn’t get anyone to open the sig sauer cabinet for another customer. So I had to wait an hour for two people in front of me just to get their questions answered. Now the good part I was wanting to purchase mossberg 930. I waited all this time to be told the only one left is the display. I ask if any money will be taken off since it is display. The guy says no. I said well I bought an 1,800 daniel defense in the pastthat was a display and they took money off. Nothing big but it didn’t have any scratches. He tells me to wait. I wait while they try to call someone downstairs. The person “downstairs” is talking to the salesmen and I hear them talking about how there are 3 big scratches on gun and they are talking about the price they get the gun for which they said was 563. So that conversation is over and I still did not have an answer. So the guy behind the counter walks me over to the other side where the ar’s are and says this guy will take care of you. I said so I have to wait even longer. Then some young short redhead curly haired guy with a backwards hat looks at the gun and I show him all the scratches. He goes over looks at the computer and says they will take 25 bucks off. I said that is it and he made a face and sarcastically says uhhh yeah. I said I have wasted an hour and a half on just waiting. I had my background check paper in my hand since you know I had to walk to the other said after being on the other side for over an hour. He demanded I give it to him. I said no it has my personal info and I’m not getting the gun. He says he has to have it. The other guy who was helping me from the beginning said it doesn’t have any gun serial numbers on it we haven’t gotten to that point but dude still demanded it. I took it and left. Went right over to Buds and bought same gun for cheaper and it had no scratches. Was in and out of Buds in 23 minutes. It takes more than that for Smoky Mtn guns and ammo to just go find the box for the gun. Have purchased several guns and a TON of ammo there but will not be back.

This store does have a large selection of gear and knives but do not buy a gun from these people. Some people working the gun counter are helpful but others seem like they’re 21 years old with no knowledge, the guy who showed us the gun we ended up buying was playing with a fidget spinner the whole time and wouldn’t speak in full sentences. We purchased a new Springfield 911 .380 and the gun was defective, it refused to feed any ammo we tried. When we tried to return the gun 5 days after purchase they refused to help in any way. I have since talked to gun store owners that say they would have taken a return on a new gun that hasn’t fired a round. So now we go through the lengthy repair process on a gun that was supposed to be for personal protection. Don’t expect good customer service here if you can’t tell you’re being taken advantage of.

Horrible customer service! Do not do any business with this company. I had to cancel an order due to family emergency. Was told that I had to wait 7-10 business days for my money to be put back into my account. Day ten has arrived and money is still not there. I have written emails and get the run around. I have called and left messages with no response to my calls. Working in the e-commerce industry I know that this is very unacceptable. Please do not buy one single product from this company. If I could rate this company with negative stars I would.

I placed an order on line after personally calling to verify that the item I ordered was in stock and was assured that it was. The next day I got an email that simply stated your order number **** has been cancelled. No explanation as to why. I called the next day and they seemed to have no interest in attempting to make the situation better even after I explained that I had called first and been told it was all good. No interest in wasting more time and energy on them. Good luck if you choose this company.

Let me start off by giving a little back story. Sept 2020, during the COVID crisis, the nationwide gun shortages, ammo shortages, reloading supplies shortages, etc., my lovely bride decided that her Glock 9mm wasnt enjoyable to shoot anymore, and wanted a S&W M&P9 Compact M2.0 in FDE. Great timing, right?Whenever possible, I try to buy from my local, Mom & Pop local gun store, but while he was trying to locate one, I did some looking online. I found one site (not SMGA) that listed what she wanted for $499. My LGS (Local Gun Store) couldnt source one, so I went back to the other site with the intention of ordering, one day later, and it was now $599. Not cool, so I kept searching. I finally came across the SMGA website, a place I have never dealt with. Im several states away, so I couldnt just drive over and browse their shelves. I found exactly what she was looking for, listed for $479. Yup, no COVID price gouging, no premium charge for being FDE, it was in stock, and $120 less than any other site. I ordered it. There were no add-on fees that some places charge, like Credit Card fees or Shipping or anything else, the total was $479.This was my first time ever ordering a firearm online, so I was a bit anxious from the beginning. I saw that firearms orders typically ship out in 5 to 8 days after ordering, sometimes more. I ordered on a Friday morning. Even though I immediately got an order confirmation email, I just *knew* that someone else got it ordered just before me, and I expected to get a sorry, out of stock notice at any time.On the following Thursday (7 days including the weekend later), I got an email saying that it had shipped to my LGS. Another two days later, on Saturday, I got the call from my LGS saying it was in. We went and did the paperwork and transfer, then to the range. Everything was perfect! Im very happy with my first internet firearm purchase.If I had to give a con about my experience, it would be the lack of communication. I know that everyone is swamped, I get it, but my FFL wasnt listed on the SMGA site and I had a couple of questions. I called and left a voicemail, I called again but didnt leave a voicemail, and then emailed, but never got any response or reply. Knowing thats how it is, I would still buy from these guys again. Order a new Smith & Wesson model 610 10mm in 6.5” over the phone and have nothing but great things to say. It was a painless transaction, item was ordered on a Monday and received on Friday the same week. The gun was in perfect condition with no marks anywhere on the firearm. Once the item shipped, a customer service representative was able to give me a tracking number. I have 0 things I can say bad about Smga and will continue to do business in the future.

Purchased an M&P shield for my wife online after seeing their ad on gun.deals. Price was good but the real kicker was the no tax, and no shipping. A lot of places I used to buy from are now required to add tax, so that was a huge plus for SMGA. Order fulfillment could have been quicker but they were very easy to get a hold of and talk to which is a HUGE plus when buying a gun online. Would not hesitate to buy from them again.

I ordered from them online twice, once for myself and the second for my spouse: Their turn around time is exceptional. These orders were placed during peak (which even now is still ongoing) Covid-19 panic buying and they responded as well as shipped extremely promptly. The amount of love they receive online is not without merit. If your order was delayed from this shop, that should only serve to demonstrate to you the significant amount of orders they must be inundated with daily. A lesser company would simply cancel your order or ignore any customer service tickets and ship months out. I check their site daily and learned that they made the conscious decision to pause their online orders until theyre able to stabilize, this is what a respectable company does; There isnt a blanket banner telling you to wait 2-4 months.Ive ordered other firearms and ammunition from a other online dealers and have yet to have as positive experience as I have had with Smoky Mountain.In their current market, their prices are competitive, doubly so with the lack of a FFL fee, tax, or even shipping.Look, honestly, these guys are good to go. I am forced to go here for their selection. The gun department is unorganized without any process for getting the customer buying guns out the door. They have to leave to get the paperwork approved by somebody I have never seen, then they disappear to the basement, BUT, they cant go until somebody else returns. Then they run the paperwork, then, just maybe, they will ring you up. Ridiculous. AND, the Sig expert didnt know what Sig Sight goes on the $800 Sig, so I didnt buy one there. They have a lot of guns, but good luck!!! Hey Management... re-evaluate your Repeatable Processes at the gun counter. LAME!

I placed an online order with SMGA on 6/30 for FFL transfer to Florida. The item shipped on 7/2 and I was able to pick it up locally on 7/6. Overall extremely pleased with the price and service I received. The order process was fast and simple and delivery was much faster than I had anticipated given the volume most dealers are experiencing right now. I can also add that the item I purchased is in short supply and most dealers are charging well above MSRP while SMGA came in slightly under. I will most definitely do business with them again!!

I purchased ammo a couple months back from SMGA, the price was fairly good, and shipping was much faster than another store I used around the same time. Last night I placed an order online and immediately realized I had incorrectly chosen a model that uses .22 WMR ammo instead of .22 LR. I sent an email hoping they can help me correct the error. The guy at SMGA called me back this morning and took care of it. It was a trouble free experience.

They almost always have the best price, dont charge shipping or tax, and get the firearm moving in a day or two with notifications. Its been completely hassle-free. My local gun-stores admit they cant come close in price comparison. Firearms have arrived in perfect condition. This is the only place online I havent had purchase issues with. Great pricing on firearms, lowest I could find. However, it took a few days longer than normal to ship firearm and it was not sent priority mail. Firearms should be sent two day priority, not ground, as they will not be delivered on holidays. You can’t have a firearm sitting on a delivery truck for a whole weekend, rust or theft are all too common. We will see how it looks when I am finally able to pick it up tomorrow.
