I had a car serviced at Bob Poynters and I was pleased with the experience. The counter people were welcoming and the customer lounge was inviting. My servicing didnt take too long. They did forget to reset my windows, so they wouldnt seal when I closed the door,but I went online and watched a video that showed how to reset the windows. I needed to learn how to do this so I am not mad about the oversight.
Always gotten mine & my husbands vehicles in & out in a timely manner & the time they say! No run around like many other places! Prices for services arent bad & the job gets done right! This is where I will always take my vehicle for services if its something they fix!!
Everything is good with this place. I decided with a little advice to trade my car in for another. Got a 2014 XTS Cadillac. This car is amazing and beautiful. JD Roberts got things done and was very helpful with anything that I may not of understood. Mr. Roberts is the owner. Mr. Tidds also got all the paperwork taken care of made sure I was pleased. Also when I was stressing he calmed me down. Plus I got to meet someone from my childhood who works there that I have not seen in many years. Trica is a real beauty. I found an in-transit Yukon Denali at Bob Poynter GM from GMC’s website. I then sent a request for availability since I was out of state. James H. responded immediately to my inquiry and I was able to put money down to hold the vehicle till it arrived at the dealership. The entire process was seamless and organized. I was able to send pictures of my trade and work a deal over the phone and text. The communication from James was constant and unsurpassed. From start to finish he was responsive, honest, and went above and beyond to make the process smooth. I have bought several new cars and I can say hands down Bob Poynter Gm has been the easiest to work with. I live 300 miles way and James even setup delivery of my new Denali after a slight delay. I purchased a vehicle a month and a half ago from Bob Pointer GM. I have yet to receive a check made out to me from repairs that needed to be done. The bank that I financed my trade in through has yet to see a payment (so they are after me for late charges) and my state has yet to receive the title so that I can get legal tags put on it. They were very willing to sell me a vehicle but I have had to reach out to them on numerous occasions to find out what the holdup is. I have purchased multiple vehicles before and the fallow through on this one was the worst in my experiences. Out of State purchasers beware.
Customer service was exceptional and very helpful. They told me exactly how long the service would take and they were spot on even going so far to park my vehicle in a very convenient parking spot. When I got in my vehicle to depart I could tell that they wiped down the interior.
Top notch all the way around. James Hare was absolutely the most professional salesman I’ve ever dealt with. He never pushed anything, he just gave me the numbers and the facts and let me make a decision. Paperwork was super easy, and the best part? I made the appointment and they told me that they would order the part and have it ready to put on my truck. I brought my truck in around 8:00 am where I was told that it would take about 3 hours, I was given a car to drive and I went home. At 11:00 I had therapy afterwards I stopped by to check on my truck when I was told hatefully “I told you I would call you when it was ready.” I went on home to wait. The next day I called and talked to the service manager and who said he would check on it and call me back. He did and said they had just gotten the part but the technician that does that was off to go to the doctor and that it would be worked on the next day. I waited the next day and heard nothing. The next day I called and they told me that it was ready yesterday and they tried to call me but couldn’t get me. I was home all day and never got called but I finally got my truck back.
Brought my truck in to have my tires replaced. I was told a few hours. Thought that was odd and long. But I had no choice, I was committed. This was around 8 in the morning. I have to go to work at noon. No big deal. When I inquired around 11:15 They had not started, I had to get someone to take me to work. I believe sometime around 2 PM I was told it was done. I was able to pay on line 5 Stars and they brought it to were I worked 5 Stars. Not happy with how long it took, but in the end happy with the outcome.
I really appreciated the gentleman being able to pick up my car from work and bring it back. When I originally made the appointment, it was my day off. So, it was incredibly helpful to have this service provided. And, he was so pleasant!!

Gray Nelson was amazing to work with in securing my purchase of a 2021 GMC 2500 Denali. He was responsive and available over 3 hours to get my remote purchase completed. I never met Gray in person nor went to their facility in Seymour IN but I felt like we were in the same room together. He even organized delivery of my new truck to me in Georgia. The driver who delivered my truck kept me notified of his arrival time (driving 6+ hours) and he was right on time as scheduled. Highly recommend Bob Poynter GM and the staff.
I had a terrible experience again at this dealer location. They do not seem to care about your business anymore. It seems to be a dealer that is super nice as long as you are buying a car but once bought and off the lot does not care if they help you again at that point. Something has changed in the last 6 months and they do not appear to appreciate your business. The service you receive after the purchase means more then the initial purchase. Purchased my vehicle in October 2020. The sales team was wonderful to work with they were very friendly. The purchasing process was smooth and not stressful whatsoever. I began to have issues with my brakes within 4 months of purchase and contacted the service department to have it checked out since I had purchased the extended warranty. They got it in within 2 days. The issue was caused by vehicle sitting for extended periods of time by prior owners. They fixed it without hesitation. I would absolutely recommend Bob Poynter to anyone. You cant find dealerships that care about their customers very often anymore. Thank you to all the staff for treating the customers so nice you truly run a wonderful business.

Always had good service a little slow this time. When I had a flat tire I called and could not get in until Wednesday. when I got there I was told by the guy you have a pice of wire in it [ yes, reason I had to change the tire, no air in it ] and they had no tires to fit it [ I left it to be replaced] 3 days and a hour later all was good again

I dropped off my car, asked Kyle to call me BEFORE any work was done on the car. I wanted an estimate. He called told me that one thing was done, and it would be only $100., then the other item HVAC Temp Actuator would be around $300 to $400. i told him to hold off, was not able to have that done, and since he already had the 1st item done at $100, i couldnt do anymore at that time. He called me back and said the maintenance tech, did fix it and he was sorry, and would knock some dollars off, now making the total $229. I was looking to fix what i could and pay cash. Not happy that i was committed to pay when i asked to call first before fixing anything!!!! is this what we do now? fix things so we can ensure that we get paid something?? Not Happy!!!
Went smooth. Took care of me with giving me a ride to and from my brother’s house who lived near the dealership. Had two driver’s from the dealership offering me a ride at the same time made me felt like the cool kid in class...
I have had my g8 n for repair 2 times the first time it only lasted about 100 miles before it started doing the same thing an this time it only lasted about 20 miles an its doing the same thing an all together Ive spent about $3000 already trying to get it fixed

Service dept went over and above to help us!!! 1st gentleman got stuck in driveway which city had plowed shut. Called Carrie, she sent out someone to bring us to shop and had loner ready when we got there. Was supposed to be at funeral of a lady I had worked with for 20 years. Made it just as they were shutting the doors. They plowed our drive and shoveled the walk. I know it was a mad house in there that day, but they did everything they could to help us. Weve bought 3 vehicles there and know well go there to buy our next one!!!!!*****
I had to take my 2013 Chevy Equinox in because of a battery issue. As soon as they took my keys, I headed in to wait in the lounge. I love that they soare no expense to meet the satisfaction of their customers. The soda fountain, the cappuccino machine, and the coffee makers were nice and kept clean, the charging station had every type of charger for every type of phone, the chairs were ultra cushy and comfortable, even the restroom was kept nice and clean, and to add, smelling super fresh. I love going into Bob Poynter knowing that Ill be taken care of.
I had an appointment scheduled to get my passenger seat fixed as it won’t go front or backwards and we dropped it off at 9am. They had it for 5 1/2 hours and had not touched it other than driving it around back and the gas tank was lower than when we had dropped it off. If they didn’t have the parts or were not going to look at it altogether the appointment should have been rescheduled. Not happy at all.
Way too exspensive....no one observed me walking around looking at least 20 vehicles ...lacks attentiveness to potential customer

Bob Poynter has taken great care of my Chevy truck that I bought new in 2000.Just had a water pump replaced that had a lifetime parts warranty- it was originally replaced with 90,000 miles and lasted another 145,000 miles.With dependable service from Bob Poynter your vehicle can last a long time. These people treat you fair on price and great with personal service.Their loaner vehicles are great when life does not stop and you still need to get around while your vehicle is being serviced.
My air filter was really dirty and the service desk showed me the filter so I could opt to replace it before it continued to get worse.
They didnt really have anything I was interested in... and werent exactly offering much.
I recently purchased a truck from Bob Poynter. The GM, Clint Waskom, accommodated me on everything that I wanted done to the truck. Luis was my salesman and was very professional and the correspondence and communication made everything very easy. He was great through the entire process. Clint and Luis both take pride in their profession and i believe they truly care about the customers. The entire experience was great..i would highly recommend this dealership to anyone!

When I called because my 2014 Cruze would not start, Roger in the Service Department agreed the problem probably was the battery and made arrangements for the car to be picked up the next morning. He kept me informed when the guys were on the way and later when they were ready to return the vehicle with a new battery. In my opinion thats how easy service should be. Thank you for a good experience. (PS: I still need to give the battery a try with the current Artic Blast.)
Had a repair that was going to cost quite a bit to repair since it wasnt under warranty. The service center worked with the sales guys and got my bill down to something I could afford. The repair was quick and I was even provided a loaner car at no cost to me to use while my vehicle was being repaired. I definitely reccommend Bob Poynter in Seymour!

I contacted Bob Poynter GM about a 1981 Firebird Trans Am that oddly enough, I was told was traded in. I had some questions about the car and spoke with Gray. He was kind enough to take some pictures and video of the car and sent them to me. I moved forward with the purchase and completed everything either over the phone or via email. The process went smoothly and we scheduled a time to fly up to Indiana to pick the car up. It made the 1500 mile trip back like a champ, not a single problem with the car. Shortly after, the title paper work showed up at my tax office with everything needed for me to make the transfer to Texas. Thanks again, Gray!

Laughably bad service department. Kept my 2017 Yukon for a week with zero communication unless I called about it and then told me it would be at least a month before they would be able to look at it. Service tech was rude and condescending like a month was normal and that I shouldn’t complain about it. Then tried to tell me that my warranty wouldn’t cover any issues with the vehicle since the warranty expired, and I had to explain to them that I purchased an extended warranty through them when I purchased the car from them to which they then acknowledged it would be covered. They don’t know about their own extended warranties they’ve sold? I’m patient on repairs, but over a month before even being able to look at it is unacceptable. Needless to say I won’t be buying or taking any future vehicles to this ridiculously bad service department.
Took my car there for repair. Was promised that it would be completed in a week. 2 weeks later it was finally done. Car runs great now, but with no consideration for us not having our car for twice the time promised.
I have done business with Pointers for many years. I have never been disappointed. Very reputable place to do business with. The last couple of times I have done business with them, I was very please. I worked with a gentleman, Terry Darlage, you could not have asked for a more informed or pleasant person to do business with. I am in my 70s and he was patient and thoroughly explained every thing new to me.

We were willing to buy a Truck back in January but after several contacts with the seller until March we still could not get the Truck we wanted. We also came back there in September but at this time GM financial did not approved our second lease.We ended going to a Ford dealer where we got a second lease approved and we now have a different brand

I found a Camaro ZL1 1LE on your website and requested information on it. Tyler Williams contacted me in regards to it and was extremely helpful and friendly. Tyler accommodated the needs I had, since I am in the military and was not able to come to his dealership in person. He worked out all the details including the financing for it and got it shipped to my address in a timely manner.
The salesman Tyler and the financing guy were very easy to work and very accommodating to my wishes and wants. I’m not going to candy coat it. I don’t like buying vehicles. I am crabby, I have been beaten down by several different dealerships, but not Bob Poynter.It was 100% painless. Even in a position where I felt like I was not even able to negotiate because vehicles are hard to find, and they didn’t have to budge on the price if they didn’t want to. I made an offer, it was accepted, and I was out the door and on my way in my new vehicle Literally within minutes literally within minutes. I will never shop for another car, or truck without looking here, and giving them a chance. Just to prove that this is a legitimate review, I can tell you that they did miss a couple of things on the Interior detail of the truck, but I was happy to take care of it when I got home.
Most terrible experience ever! Do not purchase a vehicle from the dealership in Seymour. They are ridiculous! When you sign on the dotted line that’s it. They do not follow up on promises, do not return phone calls, and do not fix issues when your car is in their shop (literally had the service person admit this to me after my car was in their shop for over a week and not one thing had been done to it). I am now dealing with the Columbus dealership that is actually following what they say they will do. Even they didn’t understand the poor costumer service from Seymour. 🙄

Service was slow. Scheduled at 11 for an oil change. Truck didnt make it back to the shop til nearly 12. Waited total of around 1.45 hrs for a simple oil change. Not complaining because it was a Monday and the oil change was free from when I purchased my Truck. Will most likely do it myself now.

I had an appointment at 8 am, sat there for about 45 minutes and then they told me that they didn’t have the key for the recall. So they told me to come back at 1 pm. I was not happy.
Roger Graham was great in keeping me informed on what was going on with the repairs on the car. Poynters came to my house and picked up the car. GREAT SERVICE.
Tyler is a great salesman up there. Had some issues with what I wanted in a truck but he made it worth me settling for one. Still waiting on my check for the windshield getting fixed though! Aside from that I would buy over and over from Tyler
The body shop has always did great work for us. We have never had a complaint for their quality of work or the way they have dealt with us personally. We will continue to bring any needs we have back to the body shop.
We were so impressed! My fiancé and I were out of town and this was the first place we could bring our car that broke down to. They were beyond helpful. Roger even took us to our hotel after hours which was so kind. He also arranged for us to be picked up. Everyone was so friendly and very good quality work is done here!

I went to test drive a used truck and they immediately told me to take as long as I needed.. I didn’t need to take too long to realize that I wanted the truck. I didn’t have a lot of time though so I told them to call me to discuss pricing. They ended up driving The truck all the way to my house with papers to buy it. It was by far the easiest and fastest vehicle buying experience I’ve ever had. And I’ve bought a lot of vehicles! Will gladly shop there again!
