This post is to correct a review I wrote a few weeks ago concerning the service department. Although there were legitimate reasons for the review, I deleted it because I felt that I should give Poynters an opportunity to correct the situation. However the posting was read and noted before I deleted it, so I want to give credit where credit is due. The Poynter philosophy of happy customers was apparent by our newly assigned service rep Joyce. We were able to have a very friendly discussion and I walked away satisfied as a customer. I want the service manager to know that I will not hesitate to return should I need further service, nor will I hesitate to recommend Poynter to anyone else needing their vehicle worked on. Thank you for keeping Bobs philosophy alive and well.

Probably one of the fastest experiences Ive had in purchasing a new vehicle! Skylar Prange made the whole process easy and we could do most of the paperwork before I even stepped foot on the lot. I absolutely love my new Jeep!

I have bought several new Chrysler vehicles from Poynters and it can honestly say I will not buy any more from them. Their customer service was absolutely terrible!! They never returned my calls and never kept me updated. I felt talked down to quite often, like I was a pain in their side! The jeep I have was in the shop for 6 weeks to get a brake line repaired. The brake line busted because it was rubbing against the sway bar link since they put the lift on. When I told them they reason, I was talked down to and told that could not be the reason! Well, guess what? It was the reason! I had to call Chrysler myself to get the hose expedited. I told Chrysler the same thing that I am writing here--I will never buy from Poynters again due to terrible customer service!

This place went above and beyond trying to help us out on vacation when our truck had issues on a Friday night at 4:30! Service tech Andy and the diesel mechanic who worked on our truck stayed well beyond their posted hours to help us out and when the repair couldnt be completed until Saturday morning, they let us put our camper on their lot and plug in for the night!

Talked on the phone with Josiah Watts, about a Gladiator. My mother drove from IL with the trade in and they offered her a good deal on the trade plus an amazing deal on the Gladiator. The finance department was very upfront with the payments and didnt pull any tricks. We are very happy with our new Gladiator. 🙂

I just purchased my car from Bob Poynter Chrysler Jeep! After test driving many other vehicles at every big-name dealership from Indianapolis to Louisville along I65. It was Salesman Skylar Prange who found the perfect vehicle for me. You want this guy in your corner when you’re ready for your next vehicle. He did so much, but a few of the things he did were getting me top dollar for my trade, not pressuring me in anyway and being there every step of the way even on his day off! Our experience buying a used 2011 Hyundai Sonata with 160,000 miles was an easy one, but we were expecting to leave with the title in hand. Unfortunately that didn’t happen. It’s now been 2 weeks and still no title in the mail and the only “date” we could get from the dealership was “soon”.We also paid 6,900$ for a car only worth 3,000$ in its condition after checking its value on Carmax. Their used cars are pricey, especially with high mileage and lights on for an unknown reason, at least the car wasn’t in a bad condition. I would 100% recommend checking the value of the car, running a report on the Vin number, before being like us, inexperienced young adults, and buying a vehicle from here or anywhere. Learn from our mistakes.

This place is amazing!!! The service we received in buying our Jeep Gladiator was hands down the best we’ve ever received. This store has is down right on how buying a car/truck should be. I’ll refer anyone I know buying a car to Bob Poynter Jeep/Dodge. Also if you go there,go see Briar Tidd,you won’t be disappointed,great person and great salesman.

Go on the website and pick out our truck 2. Call them and see if they still had it 3.Start the buying process right over the phone 4. Go to the dealership, finish the paperwork, pick up our new truck! Cant ask for easier then that folks!

I was looking to purchase used 3rd row SUV and found one I was interested in and contacted dealership finance department to be told to complete online credit application (which I promptly completed) then followed up the next day to inquire about next step and only received voicemail and left name and number......NEVER HEARD BACK FROM THEM, when I drove up to the dealership the next day to speak to someone in person I see the vehicle I wanted being sold in front of me. POOR COMMUNICATION!!! Dont waste your time doing online credit application!! Go in person since they dont return calls

If I could leave 0 stars, I would. Kept my vehicle for 12 days, inspected it on the final day and “didn’t find any issues”. I brought the vehicle in for intermittent throttle sticking (a serious safety issue!) twice with no resolution. Any other issues this dealership has “attempted” to deal with are never resolved, except for a recall fix, which was just updating software.Purchasing a vehicle here is an amazing experience, but I would NEVER recommend their service department to anyone.

First they misquoted my grandpa and then wouldnt honor it, he then offers to meet half way on the 2nd quote on a 40,000+ Jeep Grand Cherokee and they wouldnt budge over $500. I purchased a Ram from here and I wont be back. **update- My grandpa purchased identical vehicle at Russ Hubler Jeep in Newcastle Indiana for a better price and higher trade value, highly recommended dealership and worth the drive.

-Update- they fully refunded the money and were very kind and apologeticMy name is Ethan Shelton, I purchased a vehicle from Briar Tidd back in December. I found out in the summer time my air conditioning doesnt work at all... Had I known this I wouldve gotten a different vehicle. I took it to a mechanic and he said it wasnt a simple fix and would be costly but knew I had a warranty so he suggested getting it looked at by where I bought it. I proceeded to take it here and Judy Hoene was very nice and helpful. A day later I find out that it has to be looked at by a specialist but I still owe 100$ for them looking at it.... I remind you I bought it with the AC not working then had to pay for them to say its not working take it somewhere else. Seems unprofessional to sell a car without knowing if the AC works and then not do anything to help that individual

I just traded my truck at Bob Poynter CDJR and it was a great experience. I worked with Skylar Prange and his communication was on point and no-nonsense. Since I was driving in from outside the area, an efficient experience was important and this was literally the quickest car buying experience Ive ever had start to finish. This Jeep dealership gets the Jeep culture. They hosted their first Jeep Rally (Jeep Invasion) and attracted 80 Jeeps for a scenic ride and poker run. They had t-shirts, food, gave everyone a professional photo, and a CD with drone footage. They also have the best and largest selection of Wranglers Ive seen at any Jeep store. The employees I met at the rally were all wonderful people.

Ownership/ management and those in charge of communicating with people were beyond childish and stupid. I wondered what I had done to them, if they treated everyone like that, and how they had gotten this far in life

Used to have good service, however not so good anymore. Used to wash the truck when it was in for repairs. ABS failed, waiting on parts, got an unsafe truck that I cant drive because waiting on parts. Not happy, may not be back.

He made the process quick and easy we were done with everything before my old car was done getting tires. I highly recommend Trent. My wife and I bought a low mileage used car from Bob Poynter Chrysler about a year ago. It was a great experience. They went out of their way to help my wife make sure it was the car she wanted. I forget the service mangers name but he is friendly and courteous and they do a great job of scheduling us, and getting us in and out. I have also ordered a few accessories for our automobile from the parts department and it went very well.So far, it has been one of the best experiences weve had buying and maintaining a car.

Casey our sales clerk took great care of us quickly. We had drove in from Eastern Ohio to test drive car 130 miles away. We had 30 minutes too complete deal before banks closed. Casey had car ready to test drive, sent our credit union purchase order quickly and we were signed and ready to go within 35 minutes. I drove over 3hrs from Ohio to purchase my wife’s new van. It was the easiest and most enjoyable vehicle purchase over 20 years and 30 vehicles. Tyler Hill and Randy Wetzel were awesome, as was everyone I talked with at the dealership. They were so easy to talk to and deal with it made the over 6hr drive well worth it. The deal was done in less than 20 minutes with Skyler my sales person. Once I returned to pick up the truck I was in and out of the finance office in 15 minutes and on the road.

Did not have a good experience getting a new brake master cylinder installed Call for appointment and had to wait a week but I understand they were busy I tried call for 2 days prior to my appointment and could not get anyone in service department to answer the phone Called multiple times and even left a voicemail Never heard back from the voicemail Tried calling and going thru sales and parts department to get a hold of service but to no avail Dropped he truck off the day before and asked to get an oil change added to the work order and was told “fine we can do it” Followed up the day of the work to find out when it was done I was told it would be done by noon but when I finally got to talk to the service department I was told it would be another day because they were behind from the previous days work Demanded my be done as I was scheduled to be out of the state the following day They did push mine ahead to get the work done When I went to pick it up the oil change did not get done so I would have to come back for that Not sure I want to schedule that one I have a Ford dealer in my county so I will probably just go with them to get it done

I cant begin to thank these guys enough for their service! We came from an hour away to look at a specific car, but our car broke down ten minutes from the dealership. Tyler came out, picked us up and made the sale, at this point well past closing time. He didnt have to do any of that--it wasnt a high-dollar sale and I cant imagine he made much commission on it--but he did. Ill never forget how he helped my family.

I love the Ram pickup I bought from Bob Poynter. The transaction went smoothly and quickly. However, when I discussed towing with the salesman, he stated that the Hemi would handle over 11,000 pounds. Unfortunately, with the rear end gear ratio that my truck has, its capacity is only 8,240 pounds. When I called within 24 hours of the sale, after I had discovered the discrepancy, the salesman said that I own the truck, so tough. He further stated that the specs are conservative, so there should be at least a 20% cushion. My bad. I should have researched it for myself before the fact. Be sure you do. Dont count on getting the truth from your salesman.

We purchased our first Jeep Wrangler from Bob Poynter of Seymour. We drove from the north side of Indianapolis because they had the vehicle with the exact options we wanted on their lot. Trent was excellent to work with and answered all my questions. Trent was able to value my trade before we drove down to make the deal. Trent made the buying experience quick, with no surprises and was able to give me above Blue Book value for my trade. This was by far the best dealer experience we have had buying a new vehicle.

Service was good but not happy with price of oil change. They used synthetic oil which took my bill to just under $68. Always used standard oil in the past and wasnt asked/ told about the change. I will be learning to change my own oil now.

I’ve been to This Bob Poynter location two times in the last three months and have been completely satisfied on both occasions! Both times my car had to stay a few days for the repairs that were needed and both times I was given a vehicle to use while mine was with them. The vehicles were very nice brand new Jeep models which really sweetened the deal. The pricing is reasonable but the customer care beats all. Just picked up a new Jeep Renegade this evening, and was super impressed with Michael Maxie. I reached out last week via AutoTrader, and Michael quickly responded to my email, which prompted me to call him. After telling him what I was looking for, and what I was looking to spend, he text me a couple of options that fit my need. Over the next few days he quickly answered my questions via text, and had me all but ready to roll by the time I hit the lot (which is over an hour drive). Michael made my first new car purchase a great one, Id definitely recommend to anyone in the market for a new car.

I had trouble getting the salesman Michael to make arrangements to get the door code and get a hole in the seat fixed. Both of these were supposed to be done before I picked up the truck. Neither one was. Truck was also dirty when I picked up. The was a decent amount of tar on the passenger side also. I won’t do business here again. Poor customer serviced

I bought my 2015 ram eco diesel from them and am still loving the truck but recalls came up took my truck in and had a loaner vehicle first loaner had brake issues second one hav no fuel when picked up and then when I called to see when I was going to be able to pick up my truck was told that I could pick it up when I made a payment. Once I corrected them that I only had recall work done I was told it would be another day that they had to order another part. Went to dealership next day to pick up my truck and found out that the part they had to order was fuel line connector that they had broke but other than that I have had no problem with them.

We bought my husbands car here 4 years ago, and hes had problems out of it since. Salespeople were helpful and not too pushy then. They are always quick and professional when we take our vehicles here for service now. Best Bob Poynter location in town.
