Ive stopped in several times in recent years usually lookin for ammo or browsing for one thing or another. I always get this unfriendly, your bothering me- borderline attitude vibe. Found some hard to find .410.. pulled outta some dusty heirloom safe an charged covid price. Firearms seem high too.

Was told to show up early so he could start working on my gun. Ive now been waiting in the parking lot for 45 minutes past opening time and no one has shown up.

The guys are nice enough but the place is small and so is the selection.

Nothing but the best, no where else in the local area and a decent amount of the US will you find Quality shotguns as well as other collector grade firearms. The owner is very attentive and knowledgeable. They have fair prices as well as an in-house gunsmith. If you are looking for custom work done they take care of that also. Don’t believe all the bulls### reviews you see. 25+ years in business.

Needed a front sight repair on a 1911 Gold Cup slide. They fixed it up real nice and for a good price. Nice items in the inventory too. I went back. Bought a collectible revolver that they guaranteed. Didn’t function properly so I took it back. They offered to fix it but I didn’t want to have my money tied up in it so they gave me my money back. All was cool. I stopped in a month later and they had the same revolver, fixed, for $200 more. I tried to re-buy it at the original price from last month but “this is the price now” and I should have “trusted” them was the response. Well I didn’t need it and I’ll go somewhere more pleasant.

Great selection of vintage firearms. Reason pricing on collectible and rare guns. Some folks complain about Petersons, I have never had an issue. I will say if you want a vintage Winchester, Browning shotgun or the likes they are the go to store in Cincinnati. No worn out shooters here.

I remember going to every gun shop in Cincy/Hamilton to purchase my first firearm and most of the shops being judgmental and asking tons of questions (none about firearms) more about how big black tattoos etc who cares I stepped into Peterson’s everything changed told em this was my first firearm purchase and didn’t really know much and for hours they schooled me on everything showed me every pistol they had just to ensure I was comfortable with it because I was preparing for my ccw next never pressuring me into the more expensive stuff never judged if I had enough or not just genuine dudes with love for guns fast forward about 4 or 5 years and they continue to hold me down rather it being a quick fix purchase or just looking for an accessory and continues to never hesitate to Instill knowledge every time I walk in .. The store and people are good. The prices are very high. I dont know how they sell any pistols when other stores with realistic prices are so close to them.

Went in to buy a .22 rifle for my son. Told him that I wanted something good quality that we could hand down to future generations. He tried very hard to sell me some cheap chinese made rifle that wouldnt even cock correctly in the store. The worst part is that he wanted $275 for it. I know guns and I know I can get a pretty nice .22 for $275. Ill never go there again.

While Albert (the son) can be a bit brash on the phone, hes actually a good guy. I didnt interact with the Old Guy much, he was outside fixing the sign. He got a call and I did at the same time, we finished them up, and I had his attention. Told him what I was looking for in a shotgun, and that I was a lefty. He showed me a few and I like them. I wasnt going to buy on the spot, but I was looking for a Remington Pump and possibly an over under. The Remingtons ran around 300-400 and the winchester O/U was 1400. He offered to give them both to me that day for $1400. My pockets werent that deep, and while I considered walking out with them Remington, all the guns had been used; I didnt know how much. I decided to wait for this years summer hunting sale.

Ive never experienced such rudeness over the phone. Im astounded that these people are in business. Gun shop. is no way to answer a phone, and then when asked a relatively straightforward question, the response was blankly, Bring the gun in. What idiocy and lack of salesmanship. Astoundingly lacking in courtesy and basic social skills. Whats wrong with these people? Worse yet, how can they be recommended for anything, much less a simple vent rib for a Citori.No thanks. Ill go elsewhere and be treated with some respect. These people are not worth my time or my money.

This place is a joke. Went in looking for a magazine for a makarov. He said he had one. He pulled out magazine that looked nothing like what I needed. He insured me that it would work. So I decided to buy. I have him my debit card. He told me cash only even though he displays the mastercard sign on the door. very rude throughout my few minutes of dealing with this d-bag. I went in this gun shop a couple of years ago and asked them what they had in personal defense pistol ammo for a 40 CAL. The son reaches for the closest box of ammo he could find and throws it on the counter. I decided to buy it. Got to my truck and noticed the box was kind of light. Opened it up and there were 10 rounds missing from the box. After reading reviews of this store before I made my visit, I was a little reluctant to go back inside and address the issue but I did anyway. They ended up swapping the ammo for better brand (Hornady Critical Defense) than what I bought. The old man was coming back so I took the ammo and got the hell out of there.

I visited Petersons for the first time last Saturday, and I just cant understand the negative reviews. Its a small shop, but its packed to the rafters with fine vintage firearms. They also build some really wonderful AR15s, and theyve got a lot of modern firearms as well.But their vintage firearms are what really got my attention. I saw a PILE of dash-two S&Ws, a couple H&K P7 squeeze cockers, a couple Colt 1903 Pocket Hammerlesss, several Colt 1908 Vest Pockets - the list goes on and on. And they werent pieces of old junk either. The condition of these firearms was easily very-good to excellent. Really nice stuff.As far as the staff is concerned, I found them very pleasant. I shot the breeze for the better part of an hour with them, and found them very congenial as well as extremely knowledgeable. No complaints from me.If youre still wet behind the ears and looking for a dirt cheap price on a Kel Tec, this probably isnt the shop for you. But if you have an appreciation for fine vintage firearms, or you want something special in an AR, this is one shop youll want to visit.

Went there about a month ago was just looking for a new 9mm so i found one i liked the son was helping with my transaction and he assured me the gun was brand new and that i would not find one at that price anywhere else so i bought it and what do you know it was used and they have it at Point Blank in Blueash for almost 100$ cheaper and when i said that to them at Patersons he said oh well i gotta do what i gotta do

I went in on a whim that they may have a Glock 26. After inquiring about it they treated us as if we were asking for a million bucks. The fat bastard behind the counter was extremely rude - insulting a customer for using crutches. I was planning on never doing business there again but I was looking in the tri-state area for a SD9VE and he claims hes got one.....but wouldnt give me a price over the phone. The guy is a real prick and Im really not sure how hes still in business - probably not a lot of repeat customers. Avoid this place if you can!!!!!!!!!!
