OWNER (of any Corvette needing repairs) BEWARE!!!Corvette Village (Mr. Ray (Owner & Boss) of the shop) is not good for your car and pockets. Hes going to try to overcharge you every chance he gets. If you do not have $15,000.00 to $20,000.00 laying around STAY AWAY! A $500.00 inspection became a $16,500.00 hustle. Fortunately I had it, but most people dont. Hes not a Crook, but he is a Hustler. Youve been warned...
Stay away he’s not a truthful and honest man. He is very knowledgeable but can give you information that is not correct about your problem or what you might need to be done. Do you research there are more honorable mechanics in the Kansas City area information he supplied to me was wrong parts he supplied to me or rebuilt with a spray can. One Corvette owning friend came to me and asked how can he get his car out of the shop he was bleeding money. A flatbed rolloff was brought in and the car was removed. And taken to another mechanic to complete
Love Ray ❤.
We have taken our Corvette to other corvette shops and were very disappointed. NO ONE but Rays Corvette Village will ever touch our car again! They are the most professional with top quality service. We have always been treated as family. If you own a Corvette, and you are particular about your car, then Corvette Village is where you want to go!!
Staff is very knowledgeable.
Many of the reviews on here are from people who have not been to Corvette Village.Corvette Village is the place to go if you want your Corvette cared for with expertise and true craftmanship. Ray and his team are truly professionals and work solely on Corvettes. It is their passion and their expertise.I had my 1971 Corvette restored there. Classic cars are expensive to restore and repair. You also have to go into it knowing there WILL be surprises. In my case the surprise was a mouse nest under the dash and the mice had chewed through the wiring. It all needed replaced. Ray showed me what happened once they removed the dash and found it. I sighed and accepted, yes it had to be repaired. Each time things like this happened Ray showed the damage to me and we came to an agreement on the approach for the repair. He has been more than fair with me and my husband throughout the process. I wouldnt have anyone else in KC care for my vette.
Man that answered the phone (called back) mocked me for not knowing the answer to the question I called about. After extensive research online I’m just getting parts from Ecklers and figuring it out myself since they seem to find customers annoying to their day. (I said please and thank you, he laughed at me after saying “sure. Whatever”Just go somewhere else or learn how to DIY
Big thanks to Joe Culbertson, Greg, and Ray. Joe has very instrumental in researching and executing a fairly complex Project. Joes knowledge of Computerized Fuel Injection Systems and Fuel Delivery were invaluable. Greg was very experienced in mechanical issues that we incurred. Ray kept everyone on task and made each visit a pleasure. The History of Corvette Village is one of expert Service and personal attention like it was their own Corvette. Thanks Guys!Dave L.
Realy nice place, THX for a t-shirt😁😁😁
I brought my car in with a blown engine. $27,000 later for a chevy engine and a few tweeks. He will nickle and dime you every way doing all kinds of work you never authorized and always way over budget every time. His mechanics are good guys but Ray runs the show. Hes always really friendly as he screws you.
Ray Boyles and Ray Cunningham are Class Acts and WELL respected within the Midwest Automotive & Racing Community. These gentlemen are to be trusted and appreciated to those in “the know” of any car-related industry!
I brought my 1966 Corvette to him. I wanted a simple engine maintenance, oil change, timing checked, etc. I told him my budget was $1000. He did a complete engine rebuild almost. It was over $7000. He’s a cheat and a scam. He did almost $10,000 of unauthorized work on my car and made sure the car wasn’t in running condition until I paid.
Completely condescending and argumentative. This man is someone to stay away from and not do business with. No one needs the hassle of dealing with someone who is acting like a jerk with his customer and then laughs with you about it. How I wish there was another corvette repair center nearby. I will not be doing business with this fool !!!!
Very poor experience! Went in for some simple routine work - took 8 weeks to complete only to find out they performed work not authorized. No documentation to prove any of the additional work was requested. Owner had no explanation yet presented an invoice for 4xs the original budget for work to be performed on the car. Save your money - this business is too busy and does not need the work!
I have a supercharged LS3 C6 Corvette and i cant even Express how much I appreciate Ray and his technicians. They REALLY CARE! Not only did they save me and my car while traveling accross the country to florida but they are a prime example of how the corvette community should be and they are true Corvette lovers! If you have a car that you care about and want the work done meticulously, this is the place you can trust! While every dealer and shop turned me away because of almost being after hours, they welcomed me and promised to help and not leave me stranded! After thousands of dollars spent at corvette connection in Denver by professionals- Corvette village saved my Corvette and corrected the problems in record time at a price that no one can compete with! I will never forget what Ray and his team did for me! They will always have my buisness. God Bless
I am ecstatic of the way my Vette turned out! I love Ray and all the guys there. Very helpful and always there for any questions I might have. They made sure I was always in the loop about anything and everything. I love my Vette, It turned out better than i could have dreamed. They have the best customer service and the best at keeping a person in touch in what is all happening to a sweet car! I am always going to take it to Ray and his guys!!This is the only safe place to take your Corvette!Anybody that says otherwise, isnt a true Corvette driver!
I saw a story on the Fox4 News Facebook page on 2/4/2019 about this shop. I believe the story mentioned that this shop has a D+ rating with the Better Business Bureau and some other unflattering claims against this shop. I dont know whats true but thats what it said in the story.
This place is a joke... Hosed me out of thousands of dollars and my car still did not run after getting it back... experts my @**...
Will scam you and your pocket book! They have no problem done it to others, so it seems!
Unamerican and dishonest. Don’t use this shop they will steal your $ and install Chinese overnighted parts. Run run run. Stay tuned for the National Hot rod article being published about them.
Stay far away from this place! They will rip you off majorly and perform unauthorized repairs. Saw a story on the news where they ripped off an old lady for 25k in repairs on a $5,000 car! Shady as they come! The owner is a crook.
This place needs to be shut down!!!! They are finally getting exposed by Fox 4!!!
Had my car there for 3 months then came back with a outrageous price then mess the hood up were I could not get under it is not the place for a reagular working person to go they told me a price but the dealership was half there price what that tell you.
When it comes to corvettes, theres not a better place to take it!
Just wanna know how you and all the idiots that work there turn a $3,500 job into a 14k+ job asking for some friends
Just don’t.
Amazing!
Outstanding...
