Dave is the most honest person I know. I would NEVER let anyone else work on my vehicles. Hes affordable and honest. He will tell you what has to be done, and what can wait. He will never do unnecessary work and shoots straight with you about what needs to be done and why.

Dave at H&R is great!! Saved me from spending $1200 on brakes and struts recommended by Meinke. Dave checked my car out & told me it just needed a straddle bar (I think thats what its called) for $175. I will never take my car anywhere else.

Dave R. is the owner and is a great guy. He was recommended to me because of his honesty with his customers. He has ALWAYS been straight with me on what actually needs to be repaired on my vehicle. The large auto shops of the world seem to recommend much more maintenance than necessary because they are only looking to drive profit.Dave drives profit strictly by the service he provides - honesty and being a great mechanic. I will continue to go back to him for any car needs for me or my family, because he continues to provide me with some of the best customer service in the industry. He saves me a LOT of money by just shooting me straight. I wish more in the industry were as trustworthy as him.

OMG. I wish I had found this little gem of a shop long ago. My first visit and certainly will not be my last. Fair, reasonable and gave me the feel of the good old boy service station garage from 40 years ago. Without question a diamond in the rough. The only mistake you will make is not going there.

I definitely recommend H&R Auto to anybody that needs a reliable, trustworthy mechanic. Not only were they priced more competitively than my old mechanic but Dave seemed to know exactly what was wrong with my truck. The other company had suggested a fuel injection cleaning to address my rough idle. Dave informed me that a throttle body sensor in my make and model of truck was a very common problem and would likely take care of the issue. The issue has been solved, Im quite thankful I didnt spend money on an unnecessary repairs.

I get literally hundreds of dollars of work done here and i cant say enough good things about the men that run this shop. My 97 chevy malibu has had a LOT of problems over the last year but they are always fast in getting me a quote and fast getting the work done whenever i need it, its a small shop but the prices are very fair and they always do exceptional work and give exceptional service every time i go there. dont overlook this gem in the middle of the merriam area.
