Walked in today around 830am. No greeting from all 3 employees I said good morning to. Peperoni rolls I purchased from bakery were moldy after I took a bite. No returns due to covid. Service desk is almost always closed and when it is open, employees look at you like you are nuisance, they move slow on purpose if you try to checkout there. Manager said would address previously...obviously this has not happened. Long lines in the evening...always the case at this store before covid as well.

Not a fancy place to shop, but isnt bad either. Doesnt have the big chain feel, but the big chain selection is available. The bakery is a little small but it works. Produce selection is limited. The meat dept is impressive with all the selections available. Their butcher has skills. Deli dept is also decent. Lots of parking. Ive never had an issue with staff, they have all been friendly and helpful.

The employees need to figure out priorities. Wanted ready to eat chicken. Waited in line, when I was turn, the woman came out from the back, told me it was ready in one minute, walked away. There was already food ready. Tried to find food to cook at home, shelves are not very stocked. Got mad, walked out.

I walked into apples( keyword walked into) the manager Jennifer Beird approched me aggressively telling me the store was closed and I couldnt make a one item purchase at the office. My problem is... isnt a store closed when the doors are locked?? She is the only manager at this store actually only employee at this store who has no fit in customer service. I hope Apples understands there is no excuse for belligerent employees especially managers.

Bathrooms require a key which makes me feel like were just spreading more Covid on the key charm, representatives arent helpful or friendly.Definitely wouldnt be here if I didnt have to be.

Came here xmas eve 2020. Only groc store open past 6pm i could find. Thank you for being open. But i will never shop apples store again. Prices threw the roof. I paid double what id normally pay at any other store. And not for better quality products. Same as any store. Felt like i was shopping at heinens. Another store overpriced. And for what. Nothing extra thats for sure. Had to be done. Again only store open.Cashier didnt even say hello till i said hello loudly. I mean come on apples. Would recommend to zero people. Js

The first thing I noticed was the cleanliness and how great it smelled. I only went to the produce section today. It was spotless. I easily gathered the needed items and noticed something my daughter and I talked about earlier. I picked up the item, checked all that was like it, and noticed it was not priced with a label. There were two employees working in that section, and they both stated it should ring up on the register. Then one employee said, I will price it for you so if it doesnt ring up, they will see the price. I was very impressed with the store, the cleanliness, the smell, and the employees. All around a very pleasant trip to the grocery store.

I love the bakery goods at Apples and their produce is always fresh. The store has always been very clean and the employees are friendly and helpful.One star deducted for overall pricing - Apples prices on staples like milk, butter and just about everything else are a lot higher than other grocery stores nearby.

Every time I come here in the past 6 months the deli is closed earlier then the time it says they close so make sure stop get here an hour before they close .. SMH This place is ran by different people then before . 🙁

Too much to say about this place!! All my wife and I have to say is the place has did a horrible turn-around since Bill the last General Manger that left. Please come back Bill??? There are some nice people there, but not like when Bill was there. I dont even want to go to the store anymore with my wife. They act as if its the bad part of Cleveland Ohio!! Really Ghetto like..Like Little hoodlums. This is Sheffield Lake, NOT Cleveland Ohio. They need to send secret shoppers there and if they do already change up the visits. I am not sure how mornings are, but afternoons and nights are straight horrible!! Either the Manger doesnt care, or the kids are just running the place. This is coming from another business owner / Manager. Start replacing people with work ethics and professionalism. There are many good people out there that need jobs. We ever get expired food sometimes from there. Good luck!! Its worth the drive to Avon anymore for food!!

Its our local store, good for when you just need a few things. They are usually a little pricey but thats the cost of being convenient. Look for the sales and the text of the day if you live locally. By far the best pop sales of anywhere in this area. Always friendly.

So clean and neat! And everyone was very friendly. I found beautiful tomatoes and bags of salad--all at good prices. (And plenty of easy parking.)

Nice store with friendly cashiers. The deli here is very nice. I really like the rotisserie chicken at the front of the store by the check out. That bird is still hot when I get it home!

Great little mom and pop grocer. They have local produce during the summer and they always have the best cuts and selections of meat. If they dont have what you are looking for they will cut it for you, or if you buy a tenderloin they will cut it into smaller roasts or steaks. They have a large selection at their deli and bake in store for the bakery. Their text alerts give amazing deals and the employees are always friendly.

I order chicken early in the morning and told them I need it done by 4 p.m and yet still havent got the food smh

I love Apples supermarket. Its 2 minutes from my house. They have awesome fried chicken and JoJo potatoes. The staff is always friendly and helpful. They have a large selection in the dollar aisle. The prices are better than Giant Eagle. Great bakery especially the donuts. Their sales run for 2 weeks. Free newspaper on Sunday with a $10.00 purchase. I love their text club deals nearly every day. The meat is always fresh. They also offer daily unadvertised deals. If you live in the Sheffield Lake, Lorain, Avon Lake area I highly recommend shopping here. And they have great hours.

You can almost always find what you need at this store. The bakery does beautiful work and the people at the registers are always courteous. If you need help, you can ask anyone that works in the isles and they will help you find what you are looking for. The parking lot is free, paved and lots of spaces to park.

Seems very well organized, pricing seems correct. very nice cashiers, I left my bag on the conveyor belt and young lady caught my attention and brought it over to me. would return

Great neighborhood grocery store. Great prices and fresh grocery. Like that it’s right around the corner. My son loves the windmill.

My wife did most of the shopping but from what I noticed in produce that some of the peppers were slightly wilted, my got lettuce the day before and ended up peeling almost half of it off before we could use it, a bag of potatoes which were old and spongy. For what they have to offer and quality, they are pricey for a lot of the stuff they sell.

This location serves its purpose. That said, I would always make sure you check the expiration dates. On more than one occasion, Ive accidentally picked up items that were six months expired or cheese that had mold in the package. The cashiers are mostly amazing and the deli ladies are pretty nice, too.

Went there today and had the worse service in my life. The ladies name was Dora. By far the rudest person ever. Asked her what her problem was and she tells me “you get what you pay for” I will never step a foot in that store again in my life.

Apples is okay, I have been to better and cleaner grocery stores.

Great countryside supermarket that has every thing at reasonable price

Fantastic place to go grocery shopping. Prices are extremely competitive, the store is clean and well lit, the aisles are wide and the staff is very courteous and helpful. Highly recommended!

Nice and clean. Employees friendly. I went there for laffy tappy apple salad but they didnt have any.

The only reason I bother to ever stop in here is out of convenience when I need to pick up a few things. Id give this location less than one star if I could. They never fail to amaze me with their atrocious customer service. The few employees who are personable and helpful are a rare treat. This has been an ongoing issue for years which I have addressed personally with a store manager. But never any improvement. Today as I was checking out the cashier didnt say a word -- that is until she fumbled some change and started cussing audibly. It blows my mind that half these people have jobs and it blows my mind that this place gets any business at all.

Not a huge fan of the produce here, its not always fresh. Meats are pretty much ok. Most items are pricey, but when youve got nowhere closer to shop, you dont have much choice ( I live on the east side of Lorain).

I went in for a few things. I found them all. A loaf of party rye is very stale. Im sure if I decide to return it tomorrow, they will take it back. The cashier was very friendly and efficient.

I am not from here, come a few days a week to help family. These are the kindest people I have ever met.

Was a quick stop, reminded me of a Mom and Pop grocery store.

Every time I come here the cashiers are never friendly, and always seem to have an attitude. I came up to get a few things today, and this older guy was in front of me, and his card was declined. He apologized over and over to the cashier, I think he was embarrassed. He asked her to remove some of the items and he’d try swiping his card again, for a smaller amount and she rolled her eyes. You could tell he genuinely was upset by this. I really feel like the customer service of their employees needs worked on.

I think they are very overpriced. Sometimes they have good priced sale items, but thats about it.

The staff needs way more training. Many of them are rude. The prices are ok. The manager definitely needs a class in better manners.

As a former employee, i can say this its a pretty good place to get a job for the first time, as for being a customer it can be pretty hit or miss depending on whose working.

This is a great grocery store to shop.Employees are friendly and most of the prices are good, the only issue am having with is the 24 case of family spring water bottles.Just about every time I purchase this spring water bottles I get one or two smash bottles and halfway full or little water and dripping.I am always extra careful in handling this cases of water.Bottles are fradule and the cap are rough and hard to open.Will give 5 stars rating if this issue gets corrected.

This store was disgusting! I learned early how gross it was and never shopped it again. I watched the deli staff actually unwrap and then rewrap the premade Pizza with new dates on it! If it didnt sell. Lunch meat will not last more than a day! Absolutely disgusting store! I will also add that the store must not have a good ventilation system because you and any toiletries you purchase including paper towels will smell like their greasy filthy chicken Grease when you get it home! And never go away! To have the smell of chicken on your toilet paper is repulsive! So glad I moved out of Sheffield lake! Always had to travel to Avon for shopping!

I have been coming here for our light easy shopping for years and I have never had a complaint. Recently I have been more and more uncomfortable shopping here because of the lack of masks and general enforcement of distancing. I see many employees not wearing their masks properly and some dont even wear them at all. It really makes me wonder what else is being ingnored not just for covid bit everywhere else.

Found everything I need it so much stuff we loved it

Over priced, usually out of stock of everything, buckets everywhere when its raining, staff is 50-50 either extremely nice or wont acknowledge you.

Its 430 dinner time so I ran to Apples for their big subs it feds the whole crew but none were in the case so I asked for 2 wow it was like I was asking for one of their limbs had to ask permission to even make fyi its also Friday🤔 light bulb 💡 make extra subs on the weekends
