They are always eager to help you make the right decision whether you are in the market for a new firearm or are just not quite sure of the ammo you need. Tim is always willing to special order products that they dont normally stock. They also have a great selection of Microtech knives.

Modern day scammers. Please don’t come here expecting to sell anything they’ll cut the price in to 1/3 and then sell it a full price also guns are 50 dollars more expensive than pawn shops in Shelby just to go into their pockets will never be coming back.

I have lived in this town my whole life and as long as I can remember American Tactical Pawn has been around and I personally have done several transactions with these people on both sides of the counter (purchase and pawn). I can say they are wonderful people who are there for the customers. Always willing to give answers or find them if they dont know.. If you have had problems here then Im guessing you were being more of the problem than any of the people Ive ever had to deal with... Keep up the good job fellas.. and boss lady

First all let me say i know these guys (really great group of guys). But i digress, Ive bought a couple of handguns and a few boxes of ammo from here, Go into the store on about a bi monthly basis and i have pawned items here and let me say these guys are the fairest salesmen / pawnbrokers. Never had one bad experience and gotten stellar deals on everything Ive got from the store. Check em out!

I was referred to American Tactical & Pawn by multiple people. Two of the many are Police Officers who are friends. Let me make noted that this was my first ever Handgun purchase. I did a lot of research in the type of gun I wanted, as well as the prices in surrounding areas. American Tactical beat EVERY place I either visited or called.The day I purchased my gun, I could not have asked for a better experience. They stayed with me, answered all my questions, as well as helped me with any questions regarding paperwork after I made my choice of weapon.The store was packed with people, but my salesman, NEVER left me. Things like that are very important to me. I asked a lot of questions regarding accessories, and ammo...and they were so nice, helpful, and not in a rush. I was treated as a person, a valued customer and not a number.The owner thanked me multiple times, shook my hand multiple times, and was grateful for my business. Again, things like that go a long way with me!They encouraged me to come back for my next purchase(s) as most businesses will do, but rarely do you hear, The next time you come in, we will give you a great discount, as we value your business!!I knew what I wanted when I walked through the door, a bi-product of my research, however, their selection of Rifles, Shotguns, and Handguns is awesome. They have plenty more, I just didnt take the time to look at their other merchandise. I will go back, just to spend the time looking around their store.If you are considering purchasing a handgun, or more, I would highly, highly recommend that you do yourself a great favor, and at least give American Tactical & Pawn a visit. Ill never enter the building again and never recommend the place to anyone. Priced me $5.00 for a 65 cent cotter pin. Highly dissapointed.

After shoping a few stores in the Charlotte area I remember this shop. My last gun purchase, not from here, was in 1990 so I have been out of the game for a while. The other shops had more guns and toys and stuff but no personality and I never felt like they wanted my business, let alone my money. I visited here and found Adam and company quit helpful and attentive to my needs. I spent 3 hours in the shop, two of which were just picking up and putting down the pistols I was going to choose from. They stayed with me the whole time, answered my questions, offered advice and seemed interested in my business. I never felt like they were tired of me just handling the guns as I critiqued size, weight, stiffness etc.It was a great experience only topped by when I told the owner today that they beat even price I saw except 2 online. He confirmed this online sale and I told him I did not need him to meet or beat their price but maybe just throw in some ammo or so. I told him I was going to buy from him regardless the price as they had been so helpful but that I just need to feel a little better blowing off the online sale. The owner went way past what I asked for knowing he had a purchase coming from me regardless. Nobody does that except an honest business man who wants repeat business and relys on volume more than one big ticket sale.I could not be more pleased. I do not collect guns and have no idea when I would buy another. If or when I do I have a place I trust. In the mean time they will see me for other purchases gun related. One review mentioned all these reviews were from friend or the like. Be assured I do not fit that category, I was last in the shop 4 years ago and just met the folks this past week. I truly feel this is a place where you can do business. They will make a profit of course so the doors can stay open but you will get value and piece of mind after the sale. I know nothing about the Pawn side of stuff but the gun side is worth your time and patronage.

Prices are ridiculously way to high on everything firearms from ammo to weapons. Shop ammo online and have it drop shipped to your door. This is really a pawn shop, not a firearms store. Don’t take my word for it go see for yourself.
