If you have no knowledge about a vehile do NOT take yours to this place. Especially if your a single woman. Theyll take you for all the money you have. They told my mother she needed a new motor ($3000) when in fact her motor was perfectly fine. The only thing that was wrong with her car was a stripped bolt. Which they caused when they replaced the timing belt twice. They may do a good job with tires and brakes but thats about all

Needed air for 4 tires on a trailer bless the young man that waited on us ..he was wonderful.. came right out..and then one of the police officers in town..came to check on us...(Id asked him for directions)...helped with traffic and I was able to make a left hand turn back out onto 231...great experience...all the way around.. Thank you to all that helped !!

Nice people, but they didnt bolt my tire on properly. It wasnt until I got home that I noticed I could unscrew them by hand.

I had a roadside flat tire and knew it was not repairable. They got me in and a new tire mounted and back out the door in about an hour. Thankful to have a good, honest business to help me out.

Super friendly. Fixed a leaking front tire in under an hour on a busy Saturday morning right before closing time.

I have been taking my vehicles exclusively to gateway for about 2 years now. They are all so kind, courteous and most importantly honest. I know when I go to them, they are going to tell me the truth on what is wrong and fair pricing on the neccessary repairs. And even be honest when the vehicle is not worth fixing any longer.

They will take care of you

They used to be good, but Ive had to wait 3 hours to get a flat fixed. This is crazy....time to find someone else . Actually its now past 3 hrs😠

I have had some difficulties in the past but they always make their service right.

I enjoy the staff at this location. They treat me like family and do their best to get my cars in and out quickly. Anytime they are unable to take care of me quickly they tell me so and schedule me on another day. I also take our company vans to this location because I trust they will do a great job.

I went there to get the ac in my car fixed. I paid to get more Freon so they would know where the leak is located. After a couple days, they told me I needed to replace the lines, so I paid to get it replaced but the problem continue. I contacted the shop and they wanted me to keep throwing money to replace more parts. When I first talked to them I thought they knew what they were doing but I was wrong .

Overall great service with super nice staff and the manager, John, is a very considerate person.

While work on vehicles have always been good quality, the time it takes just to get the vehicle into the shop. For a simple oil change prepare for at least an 1.5-2 hour long wait. I showed up at 7:15 on a weekday and it took over 2 hours just for them to get to my vehicle.

They fix my flat free

Took my car in to have the transmission replaced and it had just been one problem after another. Second day after having it back from the shop a transmission hose was profusely leaking. Took it back in and had it replaced and then not even a week later that same hose completely blew off right as I was leaving for work. It appeared that it hadnt been properly tightened down. I tightened the hose clamps back down by myself and now for the second time the transmission hose has blown off. Making me realize that the hose was cut entirely too short and was somehow missed twice by professionals after thinking it over I recall taking my car into Gateway two or three years ago to have a transmission mount replaced along with all the hoses. After getting it back then, it was fine for a little while, but then I noticed the transmission started to act up a little, but didnt think much about because it wasnt severe. Up until a month before I got my transmission replaced my transmission hoses were covered in grime from a now obvious leak. And on investigation I saw that when the hoses had been replaced before the clamps had been tightened too tight to the point where they were cutting into the hose. Which leads me to believe that the damage done to my transmission to make me need an entirety new one was Gateways fault. Now I dont even trust Gateway to fix it considering Ive taken it back several times to be fixed and have consistently had issues afterwards. Now Im out three thousand dollars, have a car that I cant drive and is now stuck in my driveway, and Im late for work. I will no longer be relying on Gateway for ANY services in the future.

Great place to bring your car or truck to get fixed. The service is above or beyond what you could ever expect. I had a nail in my tire they fixed it for me and I have not had any problems since. We plan on returning again if we need anything for our car or truck and we hope you will too you will be glad you did.

Went in to get wheels balanced. They took off old weights and put on the new ones but said one of my wheels so badly bent I needed new one and they couldnt do an alignment because I needed new ball joints.. price was over $700 for ball joints so I didnt do I put it off for a month . Truck was shaking bad with there wheel balance job. I took to landers tire to get ball joints dont for half the cost but turned out wheel was not bent ball joints are good all I needed was a wheel barring....

I was going into the Gateway tire to get the special oil change with tire rotation and balance for 26.95. I really needed the rotation and balance but hey I normally change my own oil it will be nice just to have it done. well once they had my truck in there for no more than 10 minutes he came out and said oh I am not going to rotate your tires it would be a waist of your money and I asked him to show me why which he did so I can explain it to my sons to confirm the problem. Along with telling all that was wrong with my truck and trying to sell me nice big new tires I was ready to leave, at check out I was being charges over 30 dollars I said well he didnt to the rotation or the balance why are you charging me for it, he states well it was a free service with the oil change which the sign DID NOT say. I was not happy with the attitude they took with me, just because I am female I do not have sucker on my forehead and I just confirmed with a second opinion that the ball joints were fine in my truck which they said were bad. I will never go there again.....

Been there 2xs. Both times I was told I needed something for my car to fix it. Ended up buying and letting them do the work and ended up that was not what was wrong with my car and had to get the work done somewhere else. Will not take my cars there anymore.

I can’t say enough good about the staff and service at Shelbyville TN Gateway Tire! We’re traveling from Canada to TN and points beyond by car and I was feeling the wheel balance not as good as it should be. Enroute to Jack Daniel I noticed Shelbyville Gateway Tire and thought I see what the art of the possible was. I went into Gateway where I was greeted by the friendliest staff and said “I know this is a long shot” and explained my issue. To my great surprise they said we can take your car in right now! Within five minutes my car was on the hoist and balancing was in progress and we were back on the road in less than an hour. Furthermore when it came time to pay the rate was most reasonable rate I have ever experienced. The Mustang is drives like a new car again, thank you.

Went to them to have my rear brakes done. Told the lady at the counter that I want rear brakes and new drums. She gave me a price and I said fine someone expensive I think for rear brakes but anyway had them do it. This took place on Saturday and called about 11:30 to check and she told me that he just got done and she give me the total paid over the phone no big deal. So this afternoon I go pick up my car and I get in and I first noticed my brake pedal is spongy okay maybe the new brakes. So I forgot to Gateway and Im heading down the road and car pulls up from me and I hit my brakes and they dont feel good. So we are going on the road again and pull up my emergency brake and I have nothing. Pull in the parking lot trying again just make sure you know nothing nothing at all on my rear brakes have not talked to them yet so Ill have to wait till Monday I will follow up on this review Monday and well see what happens from there Im just guessing that it and adjust them correctly which is extremely unsatisfactory will I go back yes I go back Monday after that and they fix my brakes no I will not go back.Ok lets see went back in on Monday morning, called first. They said bring it in ASAP and they would look at it.Ok so I did and in 10 minutes I was out the door.Ok everything is fine. No, not really. Oh my car is fine, but the service I think could use some help.If it only took 10 minutes to adjust the brakes, why did they not do it right the first time? I will not be going back.
