For the 2020 holiday light show season, Christmas Designers was a reliable and cost-effective source for Coaxial RY Plug lights and accessories (extension cords and connectors to conventional outlets) for a small botanical garden in southeast Florida. This system has proven effective against rain, sprinkler irrigation, including daily watering in the Bonsai Gallery. A number of late-season opportunities, notably early opening of the Koi pond, led to preferred use of these lights. The extension cords and connectors and plugs that go with these string lights are low cost and save money compared to conventional AC power cords, though not necessarily vampire plugs. They are also elegant, for those who notice.

Update: after posting this review I was contacted and my issue resolved. Over the phone they were sincere and reached out to the web designer to look into the issue. Im satisfied with the resolution but disappointed it wasnt handled better initially. Past orders and this have arrived quickly and the products will hopefully be more reliable than box stores thus saving money in the long term though an initial investment to start.Original review: Broken website and terrible customer service. Placed an order through their site and at checkout the cost was ≈$90, I got an email receipt for $100+. Reached out to customer service with a screenshot and asked them to remedy the situation. They refused to acknowledge the website is broken and stopped responding while closing the help desk ticket. Their customer service also claims they cant see photos through the web interface but clicking on the link on the web interface opens for me... I asked them to let me modify the order too and they shipped it anyway. Ill end up going through the credit card company to be reimbursed but Id hate to see what happens if you have a warranty claim.

This is the site you need for all your higher level home Christmas lighting supplies. We had a great experience ordering alternating red/green lights to clip onto our gutters and other LED lights, including 2 light shows for a very competitive price. The best part was that shipping was free when spending a certain amount and the lights were delivered to Chicago in no time. A great experience with wonderful products!

I ordered a few different products from Christmas Designers, and I couldn’t be happier! The shipping was quick and the product is very high quality.I ordered the LED snowfall lights, and some other twinkly pro products. I was going to wait till the holidays to put these up, but I might have to put them up early!I would recommend Christmas Designers to any of my friends and family!

Im very disappointed with this company. On November 05 I called to set up a business account, which took a few days. I told the representative when I needed the product and was told I would have it in a few days after placing my order. It took 7 days to set up the account. On November 16 I received an order confirmation. Shortly thereafter I received an email that part of the order was out of stock. I immediately replied to the email and phoned, cancelling the out of order stock and instructing them to immediately ship that part of the order which was in stock. As of today, November 30 I still dont have my order, which is 5 days late from my deadline. I must say that the agents with whom I communicated were considerate and kind. However, the overall customer experience was very disheartening and pretty bad. I have closed our account with Christmas Designers.

Buyer Beware! Shipping is much slower than the website claims (it says online orders are automated and ship within 1 day. Took 4 days for my order to ship which was too late so I had to buy elsewhere), customer service is some of the worst I’ve ever encountered (took them 20 days to send me a return label to send back a shipment!)Now I’ve finally got a return label and they tell me their terms & conditions say I have to pay return shipping costs and my refund will have the original shipping costs deducted as well. I tried to cancel this order before it left their facility and they refused to cancel it. They say company policy requires a call within 30 minutes of ordering to cancel.I asked why would they ship me something when it’s still at your warehouse and I’m just going to ship it back? That makes no sense. The customer service rep agreed but said that’s the company policy. She said she would put a return label in the box so I could send it back when I received it. That was a lie! Their return system doesn’t work in that manner and she knew she was lying when she said it.So I’m stuck paying $26 in shipping for a $72 order that should’ve never shipped and was only being cancelled because it didn’t ship in the timeframe their website states it would. Company policy only matters to them when it’s beneficial to them!

Royally screwed up my order twice and gave me bad information, which I passed on to my customer, which lead to us disappointing him by not having lights when promised. They seriously let me down and didn’t seem too concerned about it. Very poor customer service.Update: Sarah reached out to me and was very helpful, I appreciate the follow through. She assured me they are working on their inventory management and customer service systems. They have been a very good supplier for me over the years other than a handful of issues.

Had high hopes my LED lights would be at least standard brightness. The LED lights I received were embarrassingly dull. The big box stores sell far superior lights, what a scam please dont waste your time buying these lights.

Ordered two strings of Christmas lights on Thursday night. Selected overnight shipping and expected them to ship Friday morning and receive them on Saturday. No where did it give an expected date. Did not receive until Monday. We had to go purchase different lights locally. We paid more for shipping than for the lights. As soon as I received the lights I initiated a return. Because their explanation for what overnight shipping really is, is buried in their terms and conditions, we were not subject to receive our shipping back plus they deducted the return shipping from the product prices. Very disappointed in the whole process and lack of accountability on Christmas Designers. Shop carefully when ordering from them.01/13/2020- Christmas Designers has made the refund correct within a timely fashion. The staff has been easy to deal with. I adjusted my rating to reflect the help.

EDIT:After seeing this review, the VP of Sales and his team reached out to rectify the situation. We came to an amicable resolution to the issue. I appreciate the team taking this seriously, and coming to a reasonable solution that worked for both sides. I am leaving up the content of my previous review, because if I hadnt posted here, the company wouldnt have proactively taken measures to correct the issue. But again, I thank the team for making things right in the end.----------------------------------------------Poor customer service. Which is a disappointment, because I had such a great experience the first time I bought from them. Unfortunately, my second order had 9 faulty LED Bulbs. When I requested replacement bulbs, instead of taking my word for it they had me send pictures of the bulbs to confirm they were broken. Not a huge deal, per se. But were talking $9 worth of bulbs off of roughly $1,000 spent with them over the past year.When they shipped the replacements, they grossly over-shipped. (They sent 225 bulbs rather than 9). I left a voicemail with them to see what was up. Didnt hear back for two weeks, so I thought they were just taking an L in the interest of customer service. NOPEI got a call from a clearly brand-new member of their Support Team, asking me to ship them back. Which is fine. But rather than offering to send a return box and label, she told me that I would have to physically drive to a FedEx location and spend my own money to print a return label.Not cool to ask your customers to make up for the mistakes the company makes.

I ordered a large tree for my Christmas display. I spend almost $400. I installed the tree and 3 days later a section of lights was out. I inspected the tree and a part of the wiring was frayed. I contacted Christmas designers who did not respond for almost a week. I finally gave up and contacted the manufacturer who send a replacement part. A few days later the entire tree is not lighting. I believe that a rodent may have chewed the wire(no fault of the seller). I contact the seller and many days go by they finally respond(I believe they may have 1 person taking care of customer service issues. I asked what can be done. They say send the tree to us and we will refund, replace, or repair the tree. Being that I needed the tree for a huge display I contacted the manufacturer and told them Christmas Designers was non responsive. After I contacted the manufacturer I sent the tree back to Christmas Designers prior to Christmas. They finally respond back today January 15th and tell me that they will not offer a refund, a replacement and will not fix the tree. They tell me they will not do anything for me. Luckily the manufacturer send me a replacement tree. I never have experienced such a lack of customer service in my entire life. Do not order from this company! Read the fine print under the warranty section on their home page prior to ordering. If anything goes wrong you will be on your own to resolve it.

Edit: The company sent a replacement strand, and it arrived 2 business days after their initial response. Would purchase from them again.I purchased 3 $130 strands of lights from this company about a year ago. One of these strands stopped working a couple weeks ago, so I emailed their support. After 3 days of emailing, I finally got an address to send the strand to. After paying $11 to ship it, it arrived at their address about a week and a half ago. I have not heard anything from them since I sent it. I called and emailed them about this, but they will not respond to either.

During a time crunch installation in the peak of the season Christmas Designers came through with our Christmas Light order. Theres was a slight mishap at the beginning but the entire team jumped on board to make it right in a timely manner that allowed our company to still make our short deadline for the installation. I cant speak highly enough about the entire groups of people running the warehouse and wouldnt hesitate ordering. Ore product from them again.Thank you Christmas Designers!!!!

4 minutes agoI got Christmas Designer lights a couple years ago. DONT BUY THEM!!!They change the color temperature every year and if you want to add lights on a yearly basis, youll be stuck with lights that look completely different in color tone (especially the white lights).Last year I tolerated the change because it was close enough. This year was completely different and looked horrible. Customer service doesnt care and wouldnt help us in any way. Was super disappointed with this company.

It took this place over an entire week just to process an order, and it only happened because I continued to call them. I placed an order by Monday, but before I did I called to see how long it would take to arrive. Since I am in Texas and they are too, they told me 2 business days. So I place my order on Monday afternoon. By Thu, Ive heard nothing, so I call them. The person tells me they haven;t even pulled my order from the warehouse. But assured me she would take care of it and it would be on the truck our that evening. They were also to call me and provide tracking details. By Friday morning, still hadnt heard a peep, so I call them at 8am. Repeat the same process and asked a manager to call me. By 230p, still nothing. I call them and repeat the story again. Was told a manager was to call me within an hour, and they would overnight. By 4p still nothing, so I call them again, told the girl I would not hang up until I had a tracking #. She locates my items and provides me with a tracking # for 2 day shipping. I told them I wanted overnight because of their delays, and she has the audacity to tell me that UPS does not deliver on Saturdays and the best they can do is 2day. Horrible customer management. They are all sweet on the sales side, and even talking to the customer service reps, but they are terrible in delivery. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!

Poor Customer Service. Called the returns department to inform them I was sent a defective product (plug on led light set was defective but could be changed out instead of returning the whole set). Most companies would issue a return label and resend out a new set. I thought it would be easy just to send me a new plug or at most they could authorize a return label to return the defective light set and resend a working set. Instead, they are processing it as a warranty issue. They requested that I send a picture of the plug and gave me no details as to how the process works and how long it would take to get a new plug. This is a brand new set that I just received and havent even used and I informed them I just received it the day before. The agent was rude and not informative at all even though I was being very professional and suggested the most cost efficient way to get me a product that worked. He was unwilling to even look up my order number and I was the one who had to request the email address and phone number to send this pic. I need additional sets but will be driving the 30+ miles to get one instead of ordering any more from this company.

Ordered almost $500 in lights in 2015 and most of them are not working. I sent an email a month ago requesting info on how to fix them and never heard back. Called into customer service and they were extremely rude and stated that I have to pay for shipping and send them in, then they will determine if they will replace them. I kept asking if someone could just tell me how to fix them and they kept saying send them in. Makes no sense to me and their customer service is very rude. Just stay away from this company and buy somewhere else.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY.I have spent more than $500 for products with this company. Here are my reasons for a low rating.They appear more interested in large customers than individual consumers, unless all of their promotional photos are fake. If you peruse their website they tout their many years of providing large displays for businesses. They force you to spend a lot of money in order to receive free shipping. There’s nothing special about their packaging since LEDs are plastic and don’t require extra padding.I bought hundreds of C9 LED bulbs and gaskets to retrofit my strands. When many of the bulbs shorted because the outside connectors oxidized, and some even leaked and rusted internally, the response from Christmas Designers was that the guarantee had expired and they were now using a new supplier with better quality. In other words, tough luck. How about standing behind what you sell? At the end of each season, I must remove and wire brush every bulb and socket so they work the next Christmas.Finally, for anyone looking to retrofit with LEDs outdoors in a humid climate, don’t do it. LEDs don’t generate enough heat to keep the sockets dry and prevent oxidation of their substandard bulbs or sockets. This leaves the option of buying sealed sets of C9s with no choice of color and greater expense.Three out of the eight sets of blue, conical, sealed LED sets That I bought just died after only three winters of use. Compared to what you can find on Amazon or Wal-Mart, they aren’t any bargain and the quality is poor. I tested them and the circuits are closed, so their vaunted rectifiers must have quit. I didn’t bother contacting them again as Christmas Designers trains their customer service people to say the warranty has expired and they have moved onto a different supplier.Stay away from this company.
