It was alright, however I feel like best market went up in prices.

On my trip today they were fully stocked with toilet paper & paper towels which was a relief to see! Glad they are limiting it as well to 2 per person. The store was also very empty when I was there at 9:15am for the hour I was there.

Great variety. Excellent pricing. Produce, meat, poultry and fresh fish are exceptional. Our new to go to place! Clean too!

I parked close to Best Market but was actually going to Dollar Tree where they have a good assortment of different items to be found at other stores at double the price or higher. These items are a few and one must be there or loose out!

I loved the Best Market in Selden but it closed. There were 5hings I wanted from Best Market so we went to shirley. I was surprised. Its a huge store but clean, fully stocked, the produce was fresh. I am so upset that a family owned and operated business with a huge following of regular customers would sell to a company so unlike their service. I will continue to come here until its gone.

Love this store so much! The dairy and produce is so fresh - it lasts much longer than similar items purchased at other grocers in the area. Prices are almost always great, especially when they are running sales. Staff is normally extremely friendly and helpful.

While the employees are nice and helpful, I only gave three stars to Best Market itself because they sold to Lidl and will be taking away my three favorite stations which are the sushi, juice and salad bars. I visited another location that is fully Lidl and was not impressed at all!

14 cashier machines and always 2 or 3 people working. Long lines. I never go there because you easy spend 1 hour in the line. Should put more people in the cashier.

Great now. Not looking forward to it becoming lidls

Best market is a great place to shop. Their fresh produce and don’t forget the freshest sushi also the fried chicken their fresh fish selections. I love everything about best market. Cruise through this Shirley location and you will be more then happy you did. I can’t say enough good things about this store.

12 cents for bags? Its bad enough we get charged at all but a bagging fee now? Every other store in NY stopped charging during the pandemic and best market increases it.. Not cool. Ill go to stop and shop

This Best Market Will be transitioning to a idila very soon. When it first opened it was really a good store now not only the feel but service has gone down. No fault of the workers which can be helpful. But prior they went out of their way to help. Today not so much because of the impending transition. The quality of stuff is okay but not the best now you would do better at stop and shop or king mullens but hey are a bit more expensive. as the adage goes you get what you pay for. This is not a place to do any wic shopping as nothing is mark if it is wic eligible and their wic system is always down. So, new moms go to stop and shop where everything is mark and their system is up most of the time. The deli is men. Make sure you ask for your brand like boards head or they will simply give you the local store brand which is sub par. All in all it is not bad here but its not good either.

My favorite store with fresh salads at a reasonable price. I always grab fresh juice on the way out. The sushi is affordable and high quality.

Def way better since they first opened when you would have to wait a half hour on line just to pay for your food. Now its way quicker thank god. You dont have to be scared to buy ice cream and have it melted before you get home.

Good store, sad that it sold out to that European company, puts alot of people out of work and also takes the freshness of the deli and other departments away from the food experience..

Not the most helpful employees but they usually have most items in stock. The meat is a hit or miss. Sometimes you get fresh selections and sometimes you get the not so fresh, discolored selections. Purchased Oscar Meyer pre cooked bacon just to throw on some burgers and it was green and moldy. Checked the expiration date on the package and it was not expired. Shame on Oscar Meyer for that. Its always a long wait on line because most of the time there is only 2 or 3 checkouts open

Always come here for everything best market out here period. All the times is a sale and better prices.

The Best Yet Market is at a convenient location, and the parking lot is also decent. The aisles inside the store is neat/clean and the items are very easy to find. The workers are amiable and informative. The checkout lanes were a bit slow but not too slow. I overall am satisfied with shopping here.

The best supermarket on the island (for those making under $400, 000 a year) but its time is expiring and sadly will be replaced by the worst supermarket LIDL on the island.

I really like this store the fruits & veggies look and taste amazingly fresh sometimes juicy and sweet!!If they can bring more Latin food it’s gonna be the perfect super market ever!

Always have friendly cashiers everytime I shop here.. I always seem to find what Im looking for and the prices are decent. The produce is usually always fresh. The lines can be long sometimes though. I use to go at 9am week days but My work hours changed and have no choice to go after work like most.. and the lines are pretty long then.

The best place Ive found with fresh fruits and veggies, next to an actual stand market. The employees are friendly the service is great. Also some of the best sushi, and infused water Ive ever had.

Great produce. Great bargains on produce too especially when they put out their rotating stock that would normally be taken off the shelves right before Its going bad. Good prices and lots of parking and easy to see from the road. Recommend this store for either your full shopping or a quick stop

Went shopping today. Chopped meat was 5.99 a lb. Before the carona virus hit the chopped meat was 2.99 a lb. We know there are people out of work and struggling. Why such a price increase. Way to support your community Best Market Supermarket .

Its old and shabby but I believe it will be a Lidl soon so it should get a revamp

This store is great.. you always fine a variety in any aisle. Sometimes not enough cashiers but thats most stores these days. Im going to be sad to see it go now that it was brought by another company Lidl. I doubt the store will be the same.

This store is very big clean and very well stocked. The staff is very nice and helpful

This is sort of a unique place. They have a large selection of fresh fruits and vegetables at reasonable prices. Their meat department always has fresh meat that is a good quality. They also have a deli department that is always busy so you may wait a little bit. Fresh seafood on display. Decent bakery department. The check out is my only complaint there is always a line to get out. But it is worth the trip.

In effort to limit the amount of people in the store due to the virus BMs solution is them stand outside of the store in the rain, literally. If the virus doesnt get you, the cold you get waiting in line in the rain will get you quarantined instead. Instead of lining up neatly in the area where they keep the shopping carts, the side entrance next to the bank (a large area which was not even accessible when I went at 8AM) they had us waiting in the front, outside, in the rain, in 40 degrees weather. Waited for about 10 minutes, watching people exit the store and nobody be allowed in before moving on to the Stop and Shop right down the road.I get that this virus has people going crazy and BM is just trying to adjust, but iron these new store policies out before testing them out on 70 year olds on a rainy Sunday morning.

Was in the parking lot to shop at Dollar Tree. Google wants me to rate Best Market. Sorry, wasnt there. Heard its good, for what thats worth.

Very good store for any groceries.I would not come here for any kind of ethnic food.Does not have good milk or eggs. Just the regular junk laden with chemicals.Not much grass fed beef here.Good prices on vegetable and fruits.Not very diverse fruits or vegetables.Good for canned foods, cerials, tea.Frozen food section is good.The checkout belts are dirty.

Total hit or miss here. There are no decent grocery stores in the area but this one has best deli prices. Sales are good but regular prices are high. They dont double manufactures coupons, dont bag your groceries if you bring your own bags are limited organic produce

Spent 15 minutes shopping for 12 items and then proceeded to wait 35 minutes on the checkout line. Time to get out of the Stone Age Best Market as it begs the question why do you have 16 registers yet have only 3 open? If you dont know how its done in 2018, take a visit to other stores and watch and learn how others do it.

The deals here are great. They have a large selection of everything you could want my only qualm is it really needs to be cleaner. The store needs more upkeep in that capacity.

Horrible I cant never find what I need there!

This is where i go to shop. Meats and poultry are fresh. Produce is too. Bakery goods are delicious. Their sushi area is great too. During the day they will make whatever you want. Packaged rolls are all fresh and delicious. I usually get whatever i need. Not paper goods or things that are not fresh. Prices are higher than other markets. But the experience is better than competition.

This store carries all of my favorite foods, as like every other supermarket. Very cleanLines are usually short and prices are average..I personally love the sushi and sashami made fresh every morning.

Absolutely the best supermarket. Their fish is fresh everyday of the week. Well stocked shelves and great prices. Deli counter and fresh salads is the best I’ve ever seen

Went in for a few things and walked out with more than what I had in mind to buy. Prices are reasonable and the products are great. Lines are fast.

The staff here are friendly, the produce is good, and the sales are pretty competative. My only complaint is the wait time for check out. There is no self-checkout and they only have one express lane open at a time, and the line for that wraps around the corner. If the checkout time was shorter, I would give this place five stars.

Produce department and bakery are very good. Butcher is not good. They avoid the customers so as not to do extra work. Very frustrating. Meats were expensive and old - most had the $3 off yellow stickers. Not going there again.

Dirty store ... employees were rude

This is an older store not kept up as well as others. Cashiers are extremely slow as they have not updated the checkouts. Prices are good, I prefer the produce and meat here over other near by stores.

They have a great assortment of groceries. Really good produce department. The deli department is fantastic. And all of the staff are very friendly & helpful. Its a great place to do food shopping.

I used to buy there all vegetables & fruits, no more.Why?I dont trust them.True, they have good variety of vegetables & fruits. True, their vegetables & fruits look good, and are not expansive. But since I started to think about my health, I started wondering: where do they get the vegetables & fruits? How these vegetables & fruits got their nice look? Not from a wide use of pesticides?Best Yet didnt convince me, didnt even TRY to convince me, that they care of anything beyond low prices and good looks. But when it come to my food, I want more. I dont want to poison my body & my good bacteria. Thats why now I go first to Costco, even though its far, and only use Best Yet in emergencies...Sorry

Since the store moved its location to a bigger facility it is definitely more spacious and offers a great selection of fruits and vegetables which most other grocery stores dont offer. Recently they opened a sushi bar, salad bar and smoothie bar. The only downside is the rather longer waiting time to check out.

Favorite shopping place reasonable prices. Its tends to get busy at times and there are not enough registers open... No self checkout... But affordable if you like fruits and veggies

This rating is only for the deli department. This is the only store I shop at weekly, and weekly I’m at the deli counter for cold cuts. Lately when the older woman is working she’s nasty and then slices the products so poorly it all sticks together and can’t make sandwiches. She was also rude to my mother for no reason and basically told her to move out of the way. Very uncomforting. They also need more employees behind the deli counter. Huge lines and very long waits no matter what day or time. Hopefully these issues are corrected or I’ll be using a different deli.

Best Yet Market has come a long way, after the old Pathmark Supermarket went out of business, they trade their small market across the street for this bigger and more spacious place, they have really upgrade themselves to the point that is the pivot place of our neighborhood.A great variety of fresh vegetables, meat, cold cuts, breads, hot food even a Sushi stand, and just about all a household may need can be found there at really good prices, Check the circular weekly for the specials, and save even more.Update, as of January 1st 2018 Best yet has started to charge $0.05 cents per plastic bag, so my advice to you is bring your own reusable bags to save money.

When lucky to get a handicap cart there are only 3 that I have seen and when working after shopping I move to check out register 8 had the light on but no one at the register I moved to the next open when using the motorcart I have to park it away from the belt to unload because I cant get out once between the belt and next register and cant reach in with out getting out and most of the time I can just get the cart between there is not enough room due to racks of candy and stuff in front of the register I understand the handicap are the minority but there seems to be more and more people in need of one for one reason or another make there should be more that work
