I can only describe my experience as “unique”…the service department had my car for eight hours. In this time, they did not one single repair. Instead, they told me to do an update for the technical issues I was having with my stereo system (which my car would prompt me to do-spoiler alert: it’s been a month and still no prompt) and that they had “gone ahead and taken care of ordering a new door handle for me”…it apparently takes eight hours to order a single part. While I appreciate the effort, I’ll pass. I can only imagine how long it will take to install it.

Went to Tyson on a specific Truck. Called and spoke with sales manager Larry. He confirmed the Truck was there and gave me upfront best price. I agreed and all numbers were as quoted. We went to finance and left. Our salesperson Rex was on his game and very efficient. In and out in 90 minutes. Ask for Rex for the best possible experience. Thanks guys Ill be back soon!

Such an unfortunate experienceCame in to order a car that i knew would take a few months to come in.I came in with SPECIFIC instructions about how I expected the car to look. When the car came in, it looked NOTHING like what i SPECIFICALLY asked for. I understand that a build sheet was signed but I had still questioned the build sheet with the salesman because i was unfamiliar with Dodge trim levels and packages. I was assured by the sales man that EVERYTHING I specifically asked for would be in those packages. So I put my trust in them and they dropped the ball. So much for trying to keep our business local.

November 2018 I purchased a 2019 Jeep Renegade. I had the best car buying experience ever from this dealership and I knew I would be back. Ive gotten all my oil changes and maintenance done at Tyson as well. 3-17-21 I upgraded my truck to a 2021 Jeep Cherokee and I am In love. This dealership is the best in the business. My salesman was Tim G. Firstly he remembered me from my previous purchase which was awesome. I told him what I was interested in and He spared no expense to make sure I was 100% satisfied. Next was the money/ payment. Tim made sure that I did not go outside of my price range for monthly payments. He was very honest and not pushy for a sale like some salesman can be. He went back and forth until I was happy!!! Tim is awesome. Larry did an amazing job at structuring my deal. This takes a lot of patience and he did it with a smile. JP in finance did a superior job at explaining the different additional coverages such as GAP. He was very organized with the paperwork and he was very friendly which made signing Exciting. I have been doing business with Tyson since 2018 and I will forever be a loyal customer.

All I know is some guy named Joe that works there, is AMAZING!! I called in to get an oil change and got sent to a voice mail. I left the voice mail expecting NOTHING. I planned to call back on Monday since it was the weekend. I never had to. Early morning Joe called me to set my oil change apt. I missed his call and called back. Again I was sent to voice mail, lame. I didnt leave another voice mail. I told myself Ill just go in person. Hours later, Joe called me back and I finally answered. He was very sweet and friendly. Thats the type of customer service MANY places lack. Aside from him, Ive always had my oil changes at Tyson and they have always been AMAZING to me. I would definitely recommend their service department to anyone. They really do a great job and have me in and out within the hour. #JeepLife

BEWARE! My salesman JR was great. We had a long discussion on Friday and came to an agreement on a price. I said that I wanted to talk things over with my wife over the weekend and I’d follow up after the weekend to make sure the vehicle was still available. Messaged on the Monday after the weekend and was told yes it’s available, and when would I like to come look at it again. I came in the next morning to take another look. After driving the car again, I decided to proceed with the deal. AFTER RUNNING MY CREDIT, JR returns stating that the manager is not honoring the price that was agreed upon on Friday and instead said that it is going to be the original asking price since they planned on selling the car at auction instead.I was blown away. I asked to speak to the manager (Aaron) and waited for about 25 minutes for him to actually show up. He said that we never had an “agreement” when I originally looked at the car since I didn’t buy it that day and said that he planned on me trading my car in. I specifically asked JR to give me the sale price without a trade in and then with a trade in so I could debate my options. I never said that I was definitely trading my car in.Ultimately, he would not honor the price that we discussed on Friday and I left. I told him that this is HORRIBLE BUSINESS and that he has not only lost me as a customer for life but also anyone else I know that’s looking for a car, so here’s my review. Avoid this place as they care more about a couple thousand dollars more than a happy returning customer.UNBELIEVABLEEdit: Luckily I have proof of my negotiated price, and I’d be happy to show anyone. Believe these guys if you want to, but clearly they are dishonest. I even gave them a chance to make things right and honor the price we agreed to but was shown the door. I already bought another car somewhere else, I’m just still bothered by this level of “customer service”.

You dont even deserve the one star.I tried last year to bring my Durango in for a safety recall and you told me you were booked 6-9 months out on being able to do it. I called the Naperville Dodge Dealership, they had my vehicle in the next morning and it only took them 30 minutes. Today when I came in your employee at the blue scheduling service desktold me that the wait was probably because they didnt have the part. Loves the excuses.But I still gave you another chance because you are 10 minutes from my house.So today I came in because I have a check engine light on. Ive had an older model snap on and a generic diagnostic device come back with the same code, a Cylinder 4 Deactivation Control Circuit. Now I wanted proper hands with a more accurate device to make sure thats the problem, since at the moment that wont pass my emissions test in October. The gentleman at the counter didnt even look at the calendar and told me you were atleast 2+ weeks out. This is insane! I should not have to wait that long to get a diagnostic test. All you have to do is plug a device into the port under my dash, not a lot of work.Because of this, I am done. Im tired of giving you people chances. I dont care that I have to drive 45-60 minutes to go to another Dodge Dealership and will have to drive past my local dealership everytime I go.

Received extremely poor service from the service department. Ray was the representative I spoke with and I wanted to return parts I had previously purchased. Ray became irate and upset stating there is a 20% restocking fee. I stated I understood and wanted to express I purchased them October 2020 and did not received them to my body shop as of December 2020 and I provided my receipt to Ray. I explained there was a possible misunderstanding while delivering parts and I just wanted a refund at this point as I no longer needed the parts. Ray was very upset and advised they tried to deliver them twice and was visibly agitated and chucked the receipt towards me.I then requested to speak to a manager as Ray was acting in a very aggressive manner. Manager Bill came and as I was explaining all I wanted to do was obtain a refund and understood the 20% restocking fee, representative Ray was walking aggressively towards me and manager Bill had to hold him back.I was in disbelief of what was happening and decided to process my refund with the cashier. I left the property as soon as possible as I did not feel safe as manager Bill did not care of this behavior.I have never encountered this type of poor service for a major establishment. Will not be conducting business with them any further. Contacted management and spoke with Patrick advised of behavior happening in his establishment.

This place is absolutely awful. I was told to bring my car in when my parts arrive and I did so just to be pushed 4 weeks out before they would work on my car. Then when they finally started working on it, they found out that they needed to order a different part. Instead of putting the car back together they left it apart and held my car for ANOTHER week week and a half and couldn’t even give me a rental because they somehow ran out.

Not that pleased bought jeeps for years and have spent an enormous amount of money at this place. I needed my car looked at something is going on in my front end only 35k miles and apparently my warranty expired 3 weeks ago and they charge $195 an hour just to look at it. I just took my car home. I guess we wont be buying cars from here no more. What happened to customer service? There service department that helps you out is horrible or just dont care. Thanks for not looking out for your long term customers.

Have had a problem with oil consumption on my vehicle I purchased from tyson and only had serviced at tyson. Bill, a service manager, blew us off even though we did have Chrysler involved. There is nothing to fix he said. Now there is a recall. Spoke to Bill again today to see if this was one of the issues previously repaired. It was not and Bill was rude as ever. Horrible customer service. Do not buy anything from tyson. They do not stand behind their product.

Service Dept is horrible. Had an appt to drop my truck off on a wed for service on thursday. Was told truck would be ready thurs afternoon when appt was made as i needed it for a job on friday. Was then told guess thats not happening. They didnt even pull my truck into the till 30 mins before close on thursday.

If I could give their service dept zero I would. They are unprofessional, lack knowledge and do anything to get you out regardless if your vehicle is repaired. Everyone there from mechanics to managers are useless. Manager Bill in service is particularly ineffective and useless. Do not trust this service department or dealership. The most unfriendly car dealerships around. I came in for oil change and unfriendly guy says sorry, there are no times available. He then tells me to make an appointment and I say ok. He proceeds to tell me to walk up front and make one. When I made an issue of this he then has a unfriendly girl at the counter give me an appointment for December 23! For a simple oil change. They sure want you to buy a jeep from them but good luck getting service. I just drove to Naperville Jeep which is further but conveniently took me right in.

I cant even set an appointment and this is the second Chrysler dealer Ive experienced horrible service at this week. I should have bought a Ford. Great service at Ford!

I recently had an issue with my car and I couldn’t drive it. Not ever doing any business with Tysen, I called them because they were the closest. The service department was extremely helpful with not only referring me to an excellent tow service, but they were able to squeeze my car in the very next day. I then had some issues with my warranty but they were able to answer all my questions and get me in contact with who I needed to deal with. When I went in to pick up my car the ladies at the payment counter were also great and very efficient. I’m not in the market for a new car right now, but if their sales department is anything like their service department I will be checking them out when it’s time.

Tried to buy a Ram truck after they gave me the run around on why they couldnt make the deal.....called me a few hours later saying they could make the deal but I was already signing paperwork at another dealer.They lost a deal over a few bucks, I did my homework pretty much laid out the deal, I made it real simple.....maybe next time. Oh and the truck I was trying to buy is still on the lot....dont know if they are a car dealer or storage facility for other dealers.

Purchased a brand new Dodge Grand Caravan from this dealership. Kept up with all of the maintenance. Had it serviced several times this past summer. After one of the repairs, noticed oil in my engine. Called service department to bring it in. Was told it looked like water. They put dye in the oil and transmission fluid and told me to bring it back in 4 days. Did and it was oil. Fixed my vehicle. Brought it in for a front wheel alignment. Was told I had transmission fluid leaking under my vehicle. Was shocked as I had no fluid on my driveway. I trusted them, but now I truly believe they were lying. Thousands of dollars I spent on repairs and my engine blows last week. Contacted Chrysler who supposedly opened a case on it. They contacted Tyson who claimed they weren’t negligent. They did extensive engine repair on my vehicle which now has a blown engine. I even asked the service advisor at my last visit if I was scheduled for any new upcoming maintenance service, to which she replied no. How dare Tyson say I wasn’t keeping up with my service. They took a lot of money from me and now I have a blown engine. They don’t take of their customers and they lie about service they provide. I hope that someone out there can help me in going after them for my blown engine.

Pushy salesman talked me out of buying a car there a few weeks ago. Used to be a good place to buy a car. Bought my wifes last car there in 2012, decent experience then. If you cant just show cars without trying to push someone into something then I wont be back. Too much competition for high pressure sales tactics. Try friendly.

The worst place to buy a car!! I bought a 2016 Dodge Challenger in September for my son that is 16. Since the day I bought it I had nothing but problems!! I contacted them about my spare key and have been getting the run around for months. A couple months pass and the engine starts knocking. I contacted the service department and they told me the car was out of warranty and the 30 days after the purchase date was up. I took it to to another dealer and paid $2,000 out of pocket to fix it. Two weeks later the car started making a humming noise. At this point I brought the car to the dealer that fixed it. After they inspected it they told me it needed a left side axle,axle seal and a differential. They also said the car was in a accident and put together with after market parts. They told me to contact the dealer I bought the car from that they should be responsible and they also said the dealer should of told me that the car was in a accident! I contacted Tyson and spoke to the sales manager who was very disrespectful!!He told me since I didnt buy the extended warranty from them that he couldnt do anything for me!! At this time the argument started to get heated and I hung up. 20 minutes later the executive manager John MacDean called me and said if I step foot on the lot he would have me arrested. Since then they will not accept or return any of my calls. Now the car is still sitting! I have contacted the Attorney General and they are opening a investigation. BEWARE OF TYSON!!

Edit: I have changed my review from 5 stars to 3. My car has been great; however, the service Ive received for the 3 oil changes Ive gotten since purchasing my car, has been far from great. I will preface by saying the reason I bring my car to this shop is because I was given free oil changes when purchasing my car. The shop staff seem extremely overwhelmed every time Ive come in. For my first oil change I went in on a Saturday without an appointment and quickly learned that wasnt the best strategy after I was told the wait would be 2+ hours. I made an appointment on a weeknight instead, and have continued to do that for all 3 oil changes. Every time Ive gone the wait has been at least an hour (even with the appointments). Last night I waited for 2 hours, after I was told my car would be the next one to be serviced since I had the appointment. After the 2 hours I finally asked how much longer it would be, and it turned out my car was already done (and who knows for how long) but somehow no one had informed me of that. Who knows how long I was unnecessarily sitting there. Im a very understanding person and normally I wouldnt leave a bad review, but this seems to be a consistent disorganization problem, and after Im out of my free oil changes, I will be bringing my business elsewhere.Original: I bought my first car a few weeks ago at Tyson. Rex Smiley greeted us immediately in the lot and was helpful throughout the entire process. We had a good experience and Im very happy with my car!

Just purchased a used Jeep Cherokee and I must say the service was great. Jason was a great person to work with. He remained professional, was open to negotiate and wasnt being your normal pushy salesman. The only reason I did not give 5 stars was because we were told they would be able to drop the price; however, when we met with the banking manager to finalize our payment plan, we noticed the final price was never adjusted because the price had just been brought down 60 days ago. It just would have been nice to know that before the final step of payment was taken. Other than that, was a pleasure. Thanks!

I dropped my truck off for some recalls and handed them the key they called me and said the key was stuck in the ignition funny because I handed them the key so how was it stuck in the ignition they told me they where going to get that taken cars of but the a week later called me and said that what they did did not work and I still need to by a wind module. so I toke my truck and now the truck will not turn off and can not get the key out of the ignition these people are lairs. Now I have to disconnect the battery every time leave my truck peaked with the key in the ignition wasnt like that when I dropped it off .they dont even deserve the one start

Dont trust the payment estimate that they have on the website because when I put my numbers for down payment for lease it shows $460 and I offered them $350 but one of the sales managers called me and told me for that car It would be in $600s range that $200 difrent a month...

We came in looking to trade in a car that we knew we’d be a couple grand flipped with. My husband and I both don’t have ideal credit and honestly thought we’d walk out with our old car and another denial. Tim G made everything a smooth sail and made sure we walked out with a new car. Ive purchased multiple vehicles from Tyson and have always had a great experience. Jason Beltran always takes great care of me and the other customers that have sent his way. From start to finish Jason knows his products and how to efficiently get a deal done and expedite the sale. Paid $309 to NOT fix a problem. Left with the same problem I came in with. The only response I got?....”we had to try this 1st”. Thanks for costing me money while you troubleshoot, fix nothing and make no offer of how to actually fix the problem. Such a waste of money. I had an amazing experience with J.R. at Tyson. The whole deal (for a new Dodge Journey) was done over the phone and email, I got a great price, and everything went smooth at delivery. The easiest car buying experience I have ever had. Was definitely worth the 90 minute drive to Joliet! My fiance and I purchased a 2015 Dodge Journey from here. JR was our salesman and absolutely great. No BS, and was so very helpful for two days (Im sure we got annoying but he was very nice and always got back to us!). JR and Brian worked VERY hard to get the deal done, and after all was said and done got us out the door for a VERY fair price and with payments that were affordable. We will certainly be back here to purchase again, we were very happy with everything. Thank you both!!!!

Had my vehicle in several times to be told there is no issue. I personally feel they are waiting for my warranty to run out then they will find the issue. I have shown them several videos of the issues yet they continue to give me the runaround. I didnt want to have to take legal action but that is my only next step

Their service department is untrustworthy and uncaring about customers and service. When I took my Jeep in for a service 4wheel drive light, it took 2 days for them to call me back. Whoever heard of a service department using an answering machine to screen calls? When I repeatedly called back, looking for actual SERVICE, I was told there was only one person allowed to make appointments and she was busy dealing with actual customers in person. Really? Maybe such a busy person shouldnt be allowed to answer phones. That should have been my first clue but I called other places and they said it needed to go to a dealer for service. Then they couldnt get me in for 4 days. When it was finally looked at, they said that the issue wasnt covered under warrantee-- but I looked up problems with my 2015 Jeep and lo and behold there are many recalls but amazingly enough, I was never informed of them. I went to pick up my car and asked to speak with my service advisor and they were too busy. We are looking for a better dealer who actually believes in their products and cares for their customers

Bill Biciste in the service department is awesome. Ive brought in two vehicles for service in the last 3 months and he is very helpful in explaining the process and what needs to be done . I brought my van in for AC repair, track repair on sliding door, an oil change and a light warning on the dash on Wednesday June 6th. Promised a call by the end of the day. Did not receive a call until Thursday at noon. Told they were to busy to call me back with an update. They only did an oil change at that time. Did not hear about AC until Thursday night. They would need to order a part have it done Friday night. Got a call that they did not have a chance to fix it on Friday should be done Saturday. Finished Saturday with AC and door. Looked at light and needed to order part. They could not order until Monday. I did not get my car back until Tuesday night. It took six days. I would rethink about bringing your car there for work.

Had my Jeep in the shop three times and issue is still not fixed. They put bandaids on the problem, instead of fixing the issue. Everything is under warranty!!!! I fork out 100$ deductible for something they can’t fix. They should refund my few hundred!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!

Beginning last year Ambrose helped me begin getting my Ram repaired after def was put into diesel. Complete new fuel system. No issues. Delivered as promised. All maintenance done here. Jason was great moved on, Chris has helped me, I have worked with Hillary.Their diesel mechanic is no1 as far as im concerned. Im confident my dually will give me many years of service because of Tyson.

Had codes ran at the dealer. Codes come back for the knock sensors. So they tell me the next day I need two knock sensors and a harness for each as well as a thermostat. Replaced all of that for $1,200. Drive of the lot and a couple days later same check engine light for the same codes. Take it back and they say we have to bring in experts because we dont know whats wrong. Turns out I need a wiring harness and they want another 1,200 to fix it. Also, its on back order so we cant do it right now. I mentioned the fact that they miss diagnosed the vehicle the first time and replaced parts I didnt need. They said they were sorry about that but mentioned how they didnt charge me for the experts diagnosis. I filed a complaint with dodge because they didnt offer any reimbursement for putting in the wrong parts or discounts on the repair I actually needed. The dealer then took the position that they never diagnosed the vehicle the first time and they just replaced the sensors because I requested it....so shady. Dont trust the people that work in the service department.

Worst service experience I have EVER encountered, recall on my 2015 dodge grandcaravan, the stated there was nothing wrong when I took it to another shop and stated it was in fact the recall issue, they tried to charged me 591.00 for something that was covered under a recall. When I called corporate than all the sudden Tyson wanted to fix it free of charge, Even with now being FREE I dont trust them to do the work, i will never do business here service or buying ever again and will inform everyone who will listen.

Service department is horrible. Long waits, difficult to schedule warranty work. We waited several months to get warranty work completed. We purchased a package with 3 years with of oil changes when we bought the van. Worst decision. Dealing with this service department has been one headache after another. Heading to another Jeep dealership for our next car.

I dread buying a vehicle from a dealer. Theres usually a lot of numbers game, misdirections, and drawn out negotiations just to wear you down. I want to say this is the second time Ive ever had a good experience purchasing from a dealer. The whole process was smooth, transparent, and quick. All my questions were answered on the spot with no games, no selective truths, and even the financing was flexible. Tyson reminds me of Saturn when they first launched where one of their goal was to focus solely on the buying experience and I had a great one here.

I feel it is important to support local businesses. Therefore, I have chosen to return to Tyson a third time for a Jeep Compass (previously Liberty & Cherokee). I find the staff very patient, specifically Bill Wayteck and Jim Kinney. Other staff are attentive as well, always trying to attend to your questions and concerns. If I could give this place no stars I would have. Their service department is a joke. They will give you a false diagnosis on your car, charge you to fix it and when you find out that wasnt the problem they pretty much tell you that you are s.o.l. I wouldnt recommend getting any type of service from this Dealership.

I think all the negative reviews for the service department and parts are warranted. Last time I brought our vehicle here, they didn’t honor the “appointment” we had made a week prior. When we demanded to get our vehicle back they attempted to charge for a diagnosis... which was never completed because “the techs are busy”. There’s a reason we go out of our way to Bettenhausen for service.I go to buy a sensor for my Jeep, the parts guy is real piece of work. How about have some expression, thank me for my purchase, anything? Nah. He seemed to be very disappointed I decided to spend money locally instead of doing the easy thing and ordering the part online.I, for one, cannot wait until someone like amazon starts selling cars and takes these fools out of the picture. 10/10 will not shop for anything here again.Oh, and you can tell by all these canned responses to call Brittany that management here simply does not care.*edit* I was contacted by the director of service yesterday. He apologized. However, you can see here that one side doesn’t talk to the other. They’re now requesting me to call Brittany! Give me a break.

I have bought 3 vehicles from Tyson! But one thing is I will never buy another vehicle ever again from Tyson it’s a joke bought a Journey for like $28,000 like 3 months ago. Went back to trade it in they wouldn’t even give me half of what I paid for it. The other thing is I have sent several people there to buy a vehicle, including one of my friends bought a Hell cat. Then there is the service department. I had my R/T 8 towed in and had the charging system checked they said everything is fine. But I had to pay $200 dollars for the check of the system. 2 weeks later towed in again same problem. Now they say the battery is bad it will be $278 to have it fixed. DONE WITH THIS PLACE.

And this guy acted like I was some bum off the street with no job or money! He said thats a $53k jeep. And walked away! Ill buy elsewhere.

I was told to bring truck in for a recall service. They said to get it in by 1 and it would be ready at 3. I got it in at 12:45. When I returned at 3:15 they said I brought it in to late and they wouldnt get to it until the next day. Completley dishonest. Will never go here for anything, ever.

The sales people are on top of it.However, I wasnt there to buy a car I needed the one I just bought (not from this dealer) fixed.When I arrived to the service department, it was the last hour of the day an I didnt have an idea of what to do first. And I was greeted by Franco in the service dept. Francos customer service and knowledge was great!I walked in talking about lighting bolts, engine lights and making sputter mouth sounds to give him an idea of what went wrong.He listened and above all else he was patient.My car needed to be serviced and he kept me informed every step of the way.Thank you Very Much! Larry is very knowledgeable, straight forward and he does a great job following up without being pushy. Jim and Aaron are two of the the most professional managers Ive dealt with at a car dealership. They all try to bent over backwards to try and help me get the Jeep I wanted and make it fit my budget! 0/10 do not recommend. everybody in the service department is beyond rude. stood there for 11 minutes waiting to be checked in and was ignored by all 3 of the advisors. nobody notified me when my car was done, and when i went to pick it up i found out (by walking through the entire lot in the rain) that my car was parked half way across the country. if you plan on going here and receiving even remotely good service- look elsewhere!!

Was very clear I’m trying to better my credit. I asked clear questions like “when you run my credit will it show up once?” Was told it shows as one inquiry. Well an hour after leaving there it shows I ran my credit 7 times. Wasn’t happy because I’m working on my credit and made that very clear.

I dont know why, maybe because I bought my Jeep here, I come back for oil changes. Well over an hour each time for just an oil change. Friendly, clean place but takes forever for a simple task.
