First time ever. Felt very comfortable and learned a lot about handling a weapon. Both of our instructors took the time and patience to walk me through. Definitely will go back for more classes!

This place exceeded what i expected. First time taking a basic handgun class and was a little nervous. Ken was a great teacher and really kept it fun and helped keep a calming atmosphere. The smaller class size was perfect for more direct training especially on the range. Anyone looking for great atmosphere, clean store and range, and very helpful employees should look this place up

Conceal carry Class was great! The second day was little long but I understand that the content was necessary. The content were legal matters that needed to be addressed. Barb was our Instructor and she did a great job! She gave Individual attention and group instruction to all of us. She made sure we understood the content that was presented. My husband and I thought the class was great!

A nice, newer mid-size gun store that is smaller than Mega Sports or a Bass Pro Shop, but larger than a lot of privately owned small gun shops in the area.Have not made a firearm purchase here, but I have bought ammo and accessories here, as well as shot one time too- clean range, monitored closely by a rangemaster inside, and the staff is friendly and always more than enough to help with customer service, which is nice. This is the best staffed gun store Ive been at, for sure. Great selection of firearms within as well, and a lot of rental guns to choose from that I saw on display.

Highly recommend Shoot Point Blank for all purchases and range days. They make the purchase of firearms easy, and all of the staff is extremely friendly. We went here after a horrible experience at Mega Sports, where the management was so rude/arrogant and couldn’t care less to make a sale. We were treated with such disrespect it was unreal. Coming to Shoot Point Blank afterwards was a pleasant experience, and felt nice to be treated like a person with respect.

I hate to write the review because i have had many good experiences at this store but i cant ignore it this time. They have chosen to not sell ammo to regular customers unless they are members. So they want to charge you to buy ammo and then charge you a dollar a round for 556 which is something you can find easily for half that elsewhere. And its not like they were low on ammo, there where several thousand rounds on the shelf. Ive never seen a business model that turns away business at the counter.

I love the classes they are very Informative. Barb is a great instructor for us ladies.

Since the hours of operation have been drastically reduced, I was not able to use my membership for many month now. It is a big problem for me and I am thinking to cancel my membership since I can not use it effectively. I wish the hours will come back to normal so I do not have to do that . Other than that I like the place, no complaints

Took an AR rifle lesson today with Jim T. I brought my 14 year old son with me. Jim was fantastic. I sort of knew the platform, my son did not. Jim broke it down including the BCG and explained everything. Knowledgable, class act all the way around.This guy knows exactly what hes doing. Highly recommended. My wife and I registered for a 2 hour private lesson. Jim our instructor was amazing. Introducing the 9mm and AR in a very educational and fun way. We feel more comfortable handling and respecting firearms. Moving to the range felt safe and ready to learn how these firearms handle. We look forward to testing a few more firearms to find the right fit.

I attended Day 2 of the CCW class taught by Barb Henn and Grant. I found the class to be very informative and helpful. Barb gave me a little coaching on the range about my grip (a habit I learned long ago as a Marine) and cautioned me not to be a super shooter and to spread my shots all through the cardiovascular triangle. Good pointers! I also enjoyed the presentation of where you are NOT allowed to carry a firearm in Illinois; it seems there are more dont that dos. I recommend this class to anyone who is considering concealed carry in Illinois.

The topic for this session was cleaning your firearm. Initially I had some reservations about breaking down my firearm but our instructor Barb explained the process in a manner than eliminated my concerns. The class was very informative and exciting.I truly enjoyed our session!

Barb has so much knowledge to share and patience that i am always grateful for. Her classes for ladies only are always the highlight of my month. Her enthusiasm is what keeps me coming back, she even makes the class time fun.

Used to be one of the best places in the area they waited until the shortage was over to start gouging I rented a gun the other day to see if I wanted it and it cost me over $100 for range time grunting ears and eyes and ammo. I even asked if I were to purchase a gun could I get my range time included in the total price they said no it was $100 to run the gun and then purchase a gun. So much for the free test fire they they advertise.

Thorough, engaging and well organized information. Instructor, Sam Hall, was clear and knowledgeable. Could has used more take away information summarizing key information. I wouldn’t pay the extra to have someone complete the state application. Took ten minutes online.

Brought a friend of mine to your location. She just got her FOID card and wanted to learn to shoot. We were helped by Debbie at the rental counter who was extremely helpful. When we got inside the range we were greeted by Lauren who went above and beyond to make sure we had whatever we needed. After explaining to Lauren my friend has a new FOID and wants to purchase a gun, Lauren stayed with her and walked her through everything. Just an outstanding experience with your business! Going to tell everyone how great you guys are!

The CCL Renewal class we took was a well laid out refresher of the current laws and responsibilities. As it was taught by an experienced teacher active in law enforcement with a broad perspective the presentation was further enhanced.

Great class....walked away feeling like I had up to date information on changes in the law and great resources to stay on top of the changes that come in the future.

Barb and James were great instructors for concealed carry class. Very informative and made the class fun.

Recently Signed up to be a member, staff have been helpful thus far, range is clean & well ventilated. Love that i can reserve a range time online any time!Just wish ammo would come back in stock at normal prices!

I have shopped here for years, and recently was signed up for their concealed carry class. I signed up 3 months in advance, and with 12 hours notice, they bumped me into the following week’s class. Customer service is non-existent. There’s not even a phone number to call for corporate. And they wouldn’t work with me to refund my money, and refused to communicate by anything but email. I am honestly baffled. So, just be careful when scheduling classes with them, that you know what you may be getting yourself into.

Absolute nightmare, dont ever expect these guys to treat like they want to keep you as a customer. find a mom and pop place. they will treat you right.

Went to the range and was checked in by Jason. Jason asked if we had eyes and ears and we said yes, three times. He still charged us for eyes and ears and ignored when we told him AGAIN we had eyes and ears. Called up the next guest while I was still checking out. Disrespectful from a gun shop/range that I used to enjoy visiting. Bought our AR-15 from here but will be giving our business to Rinks.

Waited over a month for my background check to go thu. At first Maybe not their fault but when I called after 2 weeks I was meet with attitude stating I dont know if you know this but were in the middle of a pandemic i hung up. I went back to the store 2 weeks after that. 29 days after my purchase to check the status again. I was told there was mix up with my paperwork. That I was cleared after the 1st week. So not only was I waiting a month I also got attitude as if I had done something wrong. When I was there to pick my firearm there gave me 2 expired range passes as of to make it better. Ive been to the range once and this was only my 2nd firearms purchase. I wont be going back to this location. How you going to mess up paperwork and get smart with me as if I did something wrong. A whole month and I contected you once.Maybe other locations are more on top of their CS but I definitely wont be going back to SPB Shorewood.

One of my new favorite places to go. As a new gun owner the wonderful staff have helped me learn all about everything and anything I need to know. Theyve helped me make my first purchases of firearms and accessories and I will always come to them if I need something.

SPB Shorewood is the most well lit and organized firearm store and range I have ever visited! The staff is very knowledgeable, patient and friendly. Every transaction has been a pleasure and the educational facilities are equally impressive. 5 Stars!!!!

Safe and clean with friendly staff. This range has many different class options with very good, and qualified instructors. The only reason I did not rate 5 stars is due to their lack of communication. I signed up for the conceal carry class and had to reschedule because of a change in my availability. When I called, I was told an instructor would be in touch with me for the next available class. I never heard from anyone and had to reach out multiple times to get rescheduled resulting in nearly a month delay before I was able to get into a class that I paid for a month prior. Communication between leadership and staff is poor and could be improved.

This place has always been very pleasant to visit. I have been trying to figure out what gun is right for me. Barb took her time and was explaining each gun to my husband and I. She answered all our questions. We will be going back here.

I usually go to the Mokena Shoot Point Blank but when I do go to the Shorewood location the staff have always been very helpful and the customer service cant be beat. Very knowledgeable and always willing to show me any and all firearms I wish to see. I . will definitely recommend this place to my friends

I decided to take my conceal carry with Shoot point blank at the Shorewood location. This was one of the best experiences I have had in a very long time. The staff was friendly, the instructors were AMAZING! Joy and Ben worked together to give us range time on the first day and both gave me tips that increased my confidence handling a firearm and then helped with my accuracy. I was extremely comfortable with working with them and really enjoyed everything I learned during those 2 days. If you are thinking of getting your conceal carry or just learning to handle a firearm, definitely let the team at shoot point blank lay your firearm foundation.

So far everytime Ive been at SPB the staff has been friendly and very helpful. It has made for a great experience for myself and my family. A great atmosphere for new and experienced shooters.

First time here and last time buying a firearm from this place. I decided to come here 5 min drive from home. Took over a week to get my rifle because they kept saying my background didnt get back. Im a police officer and other places I been was better service and background was done same day after showing my credentials. But Derrick helped me out was awesome took his time to help me out not like other workers.

Great range. It is the employees that make this place top notch. They offer a friendly, helpful and encouraging environment. Everyone makes you feel very welcome. Took their draw from the holster class and it was a blast. Plus learned a few good tips. I acquired my Ruger PC carbine from these guys and they were more than happy to help me get it unboxed and gave me a quick overview. And I am loving my 9mm rifle!!!!!

Awesome showroom/range and the staff was very welcoming to me. Seems like they have alot of firearms that cant be found elsewhere currently. Im from out of state and and in the area for work.

Their customer service has been exemplary since the time I first walked in their door last November.This past Saturday, when severe weather was passing through the area and the tornado sirens were going off, the staff acted professionally and calmly as they ushered their customers to safety in the range - even passing out masks to those who didnt have one.Awesome job! When someone says Mega Sports I say who?

Nice overall, but having a membership right now is useless. Like every other place, they have no ammunition in which to shoot with, so the monthly membership is a waste of money. The range fee is more than the competition in the area.

I thought I would try out their range today since I live so close. I stopped by late in the afternoon and as I walked in no employees greeted me. I found my way up to the range counter where I waited for 5 minutes for someone to come help me. I was looking around and saw several employees look up at me. One employee was walking around behind the counter, saw me and then walked in to the back by the bathrooms. I was able to see an employee working in the back room and also a manager (long sleeve shirt) sitting on a computer. I even spoke up and said, HELLO! but nobody acknowledge me. After waiting about another minute I walked out. I walked out past two employees who still didnt acknowledge me. If I could give this place zero stars I would. I was considering a membership but I will stick with the longer commute and go back to Rage at 355.

Went to Mega Sports because of their wide selection but the horrible customer service made me leave that place. Came here with with my wife and it was a little busy but the guys kept apologizing for the wait and I was good because I was looking at guns but that acknowledgment goes a long way. They attending me right away and showed me the guns I wanted and were nice about it . Prices were A LOT cheaper than Mega Sports . Bought 2 guns for there for the price of 1 at Mega Sport . Money was not the issue but that acknowledgment and great service is what makes the difference, dont lose that guys. Keep up the good work guys

I have been shooting at Point Blank in Shorewood, IL for about 4 months and I would strongly recommend the range. I have found the staff to be more welcoming and accommodating than many other ranges I have visited in the Chicagoland area. The staff are genuinely willing and happy to answer questions and even give basic technique assistance on the range. The rental gun selection is very good and their membership options offer a lot of value both for shooting and for those who want to take classes or buy guns. I would definitely recommend Point Blank especially for new shooters as an excellent place to train.

This range is fantastic. The staff is great and friendly, unlike Mega Sports. Im so glad that they built here in Shorewood, though I occasionally also shoot at the location in Aurora. Even little things like allowing you to hold two firearms at once for comparison shopping are sublties that go a long way. This is something they dont do a Mega Sports, not to mention most employees at Mega are very arrogant. I also love the fact that they have two separate ranges depending on what type of firearm youre shooting. Sure its not a large store, but they have become my first choice.Zeroed a scope last week and the range officer brought me a stool without me even having to ask. As a monthly range member, I feel very at home here now. Staff is very down-to-earth and professional.

Safe and clean. Cant go wrong with their membership. However, I am very displeased with the FFL transfer service. I paid a $75 transfer fee to pretty much wait in the dark. I purchased my gun on September 24th. I didnt receive it until October 13th. Initially I waited 8 days for ISP to finish a background before I began to call the shoot point blank. I called every day after waiting 8days at the same time only to get different answers each time. Finally on October 13 I called and they said my gun was ready. I expressed that I have called everyday and had not received any answer. The employee falsely told me that someone attempted to reach out to me 3 days earlier. I paid $75 for convenience and professionalism. Instead I recieved the ole runaround and some lies. I do not recommend paying a transfer here. Use a different FFL. I hoped for an email or something given that shoot point blank floods my inbox with other nonsense.

Have been members since the day it opened and never regretted one moment. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Prices are always the best in town. Range is well regulated and safe.

I had a private class with Barbara Will-Henn and I have to say as a newer gun owner, I felt 100% at ease with Barbara. If you are looking to get better educated, ask for her, you will have zero regrets! She is definitely an asset to Shoot Point Blank!
