This store has a great small town feel to it and the employees are almost always very friendly. Prices could be better on some items, but I prefer the service here over other places. For example, Donna Penrod is a great lady who goes above and beyond to make sure that the customer is happy. I am grateful for people like her who put a little bit of kindness and heart into their work.

Would be great if someone could answer a phone once in a while to save people an hour drive to find out they dont have items in stock....

Called about fencing products and spoke with Mary. She was very pleasant and helpful. Unfortunately, they did not have what I needed, but Mary found a different company that did have what I needed. We will shop here more often now. Thank you.

Completely rude and disrespectful. I asked for a price on 223 ammo bc so many people are gouging and the guy told me “I’m not going through the pricing come figure it out for yourself. Totally jerk.

I went to look at firearms and ammo, ...was rudely helped by somebody by the name of Dennis I observed him talking rudely to other customers as well. Seemed like he was very irritated with questions and talked down to me and another customer almost making this feel dumb for asking the questions we asked he definitely was not friendly.Fortunately I was able to drive over to sportsmans warehouse and was properly treated and purchased a new rifle and ammo from them.

Very rude, dont bother calling them, they will hang up on you and when u do call back. They seemed really annoyed. Took 3 calls just to find out if there have any camping supplies in. Younger girl on the phone maybe she just didnt know, told me both times she would ask. Dont waste your time just go to sportsmans.

Spent $80 on a new fishing rod and reel but the reel was broken. There was tension on the reel and it wasnt opened up but it popped open on a cast. Went and spoke to Mary who was about as helpful as a lollipop covered in dung and explained that she couldnt return or exchange it because the top was missing. The top wouldnt be missing if I was sold a functioning unit though. Catch 22. She said there was nothing she could do. When my girlfriend asked if there was anyone else we could speak to or if we should contact the manufacturer Mary accused my girlfriend of yelling. We knew we werent going to receive any level of customer service. Bill was nice there, but Mary was flat out rude and useless. We wont be returning. In total we spent about $300 in the store today. Youd think shed offer at least a discount on a new set which I told them I was interested in. Customer service at its finest. Gross

Anti maskers... entire store personnel refused to wear masks even though they showed signs of illness.Definitely do not recommend if you care about keeping healthy.

Bought baby chicks, 12 total and have lost 3. They say they will replace but not sure if I want any more from them. Would rather get my money back. Will see how that goes on Wednesday. Maybe check on your supplier. Usually get chicks from Tractor Supply for last couple of years and never lost any.

Can y’all fix your alarms? The entire town of show low can hear it every time it goes off at 1 am at least once a weak.

I recently took a trip to Cal Ranch to look for something that is sold in the store with a couple of friends. As soon as we walked in we were almost immediately scolded by a cashier because we are part of a younger demographic. She wouldnt let us in before she took our bags. After we walked in and we heard that the cashier called on the radio to warn workers who began following us around the store. At this point we decided to take our business elsewhere. It was an utterly humiliating experience. It is understandable to want to keep an eye on customers, but the way we were spoken to was distasteful and rude. I can safely say that my family will not be shopping at this Cal Ranch again. Very rude customer service.

Its great. It a country folks store. I can get work clothes to feed for my animals they have good prices and a friendly staff as well. They even have a good toy section for little ones..... And the big ones too.

8:48am. Usually the service in there is great, but the person they had today was very rude. I called to ask about prices. I couldnt understand what she said her name was and could barely hear her. When I said Im sorry what was that she dramatically raised her voice and then hung up on me after.

Great place, only problem is how much time I spend there. Prices are good, not great. Sales are good. Clearance items can be exceptional values. Great variety of things I love.

Cal ranch is where I go to get dog food. They have a wide variety of premium brands. The store in Showlow is a nice store. Friendly, helpful staff, clean and organized. A bit expensive for some things though but thats the norm everywhere in the white mountains.

Horrible customer service. By the manager Rick Haws ( is the name that was given). Very unprofessional and rude. Will NEVER shop here again! Mark your items with a price tag or shall I say the correct price tag! Then still charge the customer full price when it was your mistake. NEVER AGAIN!

Seriously good selection. I found elecrltrical connectors Home Depot, Radio Shack and Harbor Freight didnt have. Lots of different pet foods. Also, monthly vetrinarian clinics.

This place is the neatest combination of Sportsmans warehouse, tractor supply Co, and home Depot. The staff are always helpful and cheerful, whenever Im in town this is a great place to visit.

Before I write this review, this has nothing to do with the gun company or scope company, it was the staff in the gun section. My wife and myself went in last week to buy a new gun for hunting. We bought a Ruger American .30-06 with the Vortex crossfire II 3-9x40 scope, around $550, not bad. Had friends rave about this gun, since I had only owned savage and Remington in the past. Hired a guide for a bear hunt in unit 27. We drove 90 miles out and when we got there we fired the gun to make sure all was good and this is where the fun starts. Scope was not tightened down at all. Call Cal-ranch and tell them the problem. Drive 90 miles back and Glen behind the counter tells me it’s their store policy to not tighten down rifle scopes??Hhmm okay. Tell him I’ve never heard that in 20 years of buying guns but hey if it’s there policy okay. So he takes the scope of and base mounts. Puts them back on with loctite, laser bore sites it. We talk and tell them I’ll go to the range the next day and see what happens. Next day go out to the range and even after a laser bore site this thing is 2 feet off. I do my thing of getting the round on target at 50 yards. I get about an inch group at 50 yards just inside the bullseye. Move it to 100 yards and this thing is 8 inches off to the right. Shouldn’t be that bad of a difference in 50 yards. I take it back in that day, glen is there again, and I ask for a manager. I tell them this issue again and everyone is still shocked at how bad this is. They put a new scope on, exact some brand just a new one and I go try it again. At 50 yards it looks like buckshot from a shotgun but I’m shooting a .30-06, mind you I have fired 60 rounds through this gun by now. So I call them right away and talk to whoever it was, sorry can’t remeber who was there at 11 am on Monday the 11th of June 2018. He ask what all I was doing and gets a lovely attitude in his voice and of course I was upset myself at this point and tell them I’m tired of hearing what to do, cause everything they have told me isn’t working. it’s not working and just says well I can’t help you anymore and passes me off, thanks for the professionalism. So I call the corporate office. I talked with a gentleman named Randy and the first thing I ask him is, Is it your store policy to not tighten scopes down in your store. He responded with no delay. I’ve never hear that before. Now I’ve been lied to by someone, not sure who it is but I will never buy another gun from the BS I had to deal with from them. I really like that store and they do have a great selection of things, but this just put a taste in my mouth that will never leave. I’m not just some Joe smowh off the street who just shoots guns when he goes hunting. Im a combat vet and I was a firearms instructor for 5 years, I was in a lot longer than that and actually one of the classes I taught in the Marine Corps, was how to sight in your rifle. I’m just saying that so people there understand I had just half a clue what I was doing, but the way they act, no one should know what they know. I’m just really bummed that I have to right this review but I’m not gonna be treated like a child either.

I have been shopping there since they opepend the assistant manager today that I have never seen before checked out two people ahead of me they paid with debit cards she didnt ask for ids too make the payment when I came up to pay she was very rude too me asked for my ID for my debit card and then went on about how if I dont wear my boots around the house for a day before wearing them too work then my warranty on them will be voided that lady is very rude and disrespectful
