Promotions and discounts are getting to be more and more difficult. Most recently Valspar rebate... Was told in store to check online. Went home and checked online, was directed to the store. Called store, told to go to a specific address online. Went online and in order to qualify for rebate, I had to get a rebate form from the store. Called the store, forwarded to voicemail, when I went to leave a message, was told mailbox was full. IF YOURE GONNA OFFER DISCOUNTS AND REBATES, MAKE IT USER FRIENDLY, NOT AN EXERCISE IN FRUSTRATION AND DEAD-ENDSAfter receiving a response to this review I contacted the corporate office and requested he have the local store contact me, he refused. He mocked me for complaining about a discount. They’ve lost my business!

Was just there. When I entered, half the employees and customers were not wearing legally required face coverings of any kind (one had hers around her chin). Spoke with the manager who made all kinds of apologies, said that of course they were all required to comply and promised to correct it, then promptly went back to his desk. When I left 20 minutes later, nothing had changed. An otherwise good business but irresponsible about public health. Go elsewhere if you can.The response from the company below is understandable. However, its one thing to post a sign and call it a day and not enforce the rules (in fact, the law in New Mexico). The fact is that there is a rule in place, employees and customers were ignoring it, it was pointed out, and this was ignored by Foxworth management. That is what happened, and no amount of corporate-speak changes that. Draw your own conclusion about their commitment to public health and the law.

Horrible service from the two ladies up front. Seems like they have no idea what they are doing!!! And just like to gossip!!! And didn’t help when I asked for help!!! So I went on to look for what I needed and had no idea where to look!! Until I ran into a gentleman stocking. I asked him for help and he helped me out very well. Taking me and showing me the item I was looking for. And then asking me if I needed anything else or if I had any questions!!! I give this young gentleman props for his good work ethic!!!!

I like having Foxworth-Galbraith as a hardware and lumber option in Silver City. They often have the best price, and the people who work there are friendly and helpful. I especially like the frequent coupons I get for signing up for their member rewards. Im happy to avoid spending a day and gas money on a trip to Cruces when I dont have to.

Usually got just what I need for the best price in town. If not they can get it within a timely fashion.

Asked an employee about 2 different items I needed..he said one if them you didnt carry and the other one was over there and pointed in a direction..I had some questions and it seemed like I was bothering him..I had no choice but to get the lumber I needed since you are the only provider in town..I went to another local hardware store and found what I needed..when I do shop at your store it feels like if you are not a contractor you are not really valued..I would have put my rating at a one if it were not for the guys in the yard who offered any help I needed..upon further investigation I learned you do carry the items I needed.. sorry to say other than lumber I will shop elsewhere..

I have been a contractor for 30 years and shopped at this store since 1976. Great store and especially good staff.

My 1 star rating is just on the lumber. The employees are very good,polite and are willing to go the extra yard for you. On the other hand,their lumber is the worst I have ever purchased. It not only bows but twists so bad that you can not use it unless you need 2 footers for something. Their prices went up on (osb)plywood to $20.00 a sheet because of Hurricane Irma. Well they never went back down. I know quite a few people go to Tucson for lumber,and go to Cruces for plywood. Sad!!!!!!!They should take care of locals better on prices.

If you really need the building item, such as a small amount of lumber, Foxworths will most likely have it.Im a Vet from the late 60s so I get a Vet discount but sadily it does not apply to lumber or other construction items I purchase....still trying to figure out where the discount applies!Foxworths is a bit long of tooth so make sure your stocks are good if you venture into the outside lumber yard.

We shop here all the time for our house repair and construction needs. There are a few things they are missing which we can find elsewhere here in silver but they are professional, easy to find and decent prices.
