Love this place. A small, local business selling an enormous variety of beer and wine. Staff are always knowledgeable and know where anything is located so don’t hesitate to ask if you can’t find something. Got a bunch of Oktoberfest beers and looking forward to tasting them all.

Beware of expired beer here. Today we bought 3 types of beer here, and ALL of them were expired, one expired over a year ago (see attached photo). Very disappointed.

Large selection of craft beers. The craft beers are priced LOWER than other beer and wine stores in the area. Maybe the County-run stores are a bit cheaper, but the County stores sell only mass-market craft beer brands like Samuel Adams. Even better, Fenwick usually discounts six-packs from a different local brewery each month.

Man when I say high end beer store, this place has it all. All local DC MD VA brews. Amazing was such tough choice to choose from so many excellent beers! Port City-Alexandria, DC Brau, the varations of india pale ales phenomenal. Then they have an incredible wine selection. I just got a friend a bottle of Strawberry Moscato. Hope she likes it.

Selection, selection, selection! Met the owner during my first visit, what a nice guy. Fridays there is wine tastings and Saturdays beer. Staff is informative and helpful. Dog friendly! I could have spent a lot more money there, so be prepared to be overwhelmed in a good way. Best beer shop in the area.

Fenwick Beer and Wine is a great business. Not much really to add. Its nice being close to my apartment at the Fenwick! I will say their website needs revamping. Other than that keep up the good work!

No other store in the area with this selection of wines and microbrews. They are small but they still have a wide variety. The size and popularity lends itself to a high turn over which means fresh beer is always available.

Great bottle shop in Montgomery County. This place is great to visit for local beers and wines. Most of the local beers (brewed in Baltimore, Howard Co, Montgomery Co, DC, and No VA) are self distributed so they are very fresh. A lot of the other beer selections youll need to check the date on the bottles, because they could have been on the shelf for a while. Very friendly staff who will help you find anything.

Tiny store with a surprising amount of inventory. it can be a bit cramped to get around. products arent well labeled/organized but. that does, however, force you to peruse their selections. if youve never been and youre in a rush, its best to ask. the guy working at the time was very helpful.

They have testings almost every weekend - including local wineries.Prices are a little on upper side but its MoCo, so it should be expected.Small parking in front of the building, plus public garage just steps away.

Fenwick beer and wine has a pretty good, moderately priced beer and wine selection for a location of its eyes. Its pretty small, but its meant to serve the neighborhood. They always have something new and interesting to try, plus a good selection of local microbrews. Everyone there is helpful and friendly, and the owner has even offered to see if she can order a beer for me that they didnt carry.

Extremely good selection. So good, that it hurts to give them two stars. But some of their prices are literally double what youll find elsewhere. Even looking for a hard-to-find beer, its hard not to feel ripped off.

Indisputably wide selection of beer, but their prices are also high. If you are looking for a commonly found beer you will find better prices at nearby stores. Parking is available right in front so you dont need to carry your beer very far.

An excellent store with great selection, with a very nice feel to it. The guy working there was extremely friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Only drawback was the price; most microbrews that caught my attention were $12 a six pack and up.

Im here all the time. Absolutely fantastic beer selection. The owner finally managed to get all his permits and the coolers have been installed, so cold beer is available! The tastings on Fridays are a good way to try different things, and the service is great too. If you tell the owner what you like or what youre looking for, he can usually suggest a couple things. As someone else mentioned, yes, prices are a bit high, but its Montgomery Countys fault, not the owners. Youre not going to find most of the beers he has anywhere nearby anyway.

The always keep new beers here and the owners are always happy to help.

Huge selections ... both wine and beer. The owner has built an addition to the existing building, primarily just to house the extensive beer selections.The staff is fairly knowledgeable, and as an added bonus, on Fridays and Saturdays there are both beer and wine tastings, supplied by both the suppliers and sometimes the producers.

This place is amazing. Its been voted one of the best places to buy beer in the area, and it definitely is. If you know MoCo, you know alcohol control is a sore point for business owners. They manage to get things as SOON as possible in MoCo, they always get the latest and greatest in craft beer, and the recent expansion of the store has allowed them to now serve chilled as well! The prices can tend toward the high side, but not unreasonable. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for craft beer thats hard to find at other places in the county. They also have beer or wine tastings every Friday which is a ton of fun!

Fantastic selection. I could go back every week for years and still discover new brews. The problem is that because most everything they have must be special ordered through the county, everything is reeeally expensive. Its convenient, and Im all about supporting local businesses, but its almost worth it to drive up to Total Wine in Laurel where I can save $4 per six pack.The service, mind you, is amazing. Because its such a small store, the owner is always around and is always happy to talk to you and make suggestions.Ill be going back, just not every time.

Not rating this one star because of the quality of beer or selection or prices, as I didnt even realize they were more expensive than market price based on my revision of other reviews. I have been here twice and I have always gotten this odd and unwelcome energy from the lady who seems like an owner or maybe Im incorrect but she is a middle aged white woman who runs the register as well.My reason for giving this place one star and not coming back is based on the second and LAST time I went. I got there 5 minutes before closing and couldnt make up my mind so I asked the same lady I got the odd vibe from I was looking for blondes, perhaps like a Leffe, she referred me to the refrigerator, but I could not gain access because a nice African-American man was vacuuming and he could not see me because his back was to me and I think he had headphones on.She called to him and because he couldnt hear (b/c of headphones) she screamed at him, and it resonated with the tone and demeanor a slave owner would scream at his slave. I was shocked and the poor man just complied in a humble manner and apologized to me. I felt really bad and left feeling very disturbed at her shrill tone in that scream, and it angers me to be reminded how people are still treated to this day.
