Awesome chill spot. Very quiet atmosphere with very friendly staff. Not a big of a menu but still a solid spot to study read, get work done and enjoy good Ethiopian or American coffee

Actually place is very nice! Has character! The have a vegan milk some sandwiches and chill music. Make me feel pretty good! Nice coffee selection. Its not place for freelance but grub a bite and coffee is super good here.I ordered tea, Americano and vegan option.Thank you!

This is a great little place for desert and conversation. They do have other food options as well. I had some coffee and chocolate cake and it was amazing!! The atmosphere is quite cozy and the service was on point.

Legendary Ethiopian Yirgacheffe coffee, slightly spicy samosas and a vegetarian sandwich served at Mankira Coffee quickly moved up high on my list of favorite breakfast meals. The “less-is-more” decor placed the focus on the delicious food and on the friendly, efficient service by the Ethiopian staff rather than on the frills often found in high-end coffee shops. I will certainly be back as soon as possible.

Incredibly friendly staff, beautiful, clean facility. My waitress recommended a vegetarian Ethiopian dish, and it was AMAZING. Thank you! The green tea latte is also very good ☺

I LOVE this place, I went there with my dad almost every morning before school 😌 They have great food there AND have food from my country, ETHIOPIA 🇪🇹. I definitely recommend going there. Its so nice and chill. You can work and study there (and the cheesecake is AMAZING) hopefully after this pandemic, we can go again 😊

Second time coming here and I regret not coming back sooner! Their Chai Tea Latte is the best Ive had! Their Vegan Sandwich is memorable. The customer service is great, everyone is always friendly here.

What a wonderful place. Incredible cakes, great coffee, and really good prices. Their slices of cake are formidable in size, and linger around $3.95. Ive been to other places selling slices of similar size and quality for twice that! I heartily recommend paying a visit to Mankira. Bring a book or a friend, and enjoy.

Great hidden gem in Briggs Chaney. I drive here all the way from upper Marlboro, that’s how good the coffee is! They have pretty good sandwiches as well. The place has character. Great place to study or meet for coffee. Mellow music and friendly staff. I highly recommend stopping by!

I had the most delicious tuna sandwich from here yesterday. Their staff were extremely kind and hard working. Nice hidden gem in Briggs Chaney plaza. I will definitely return back to try more of their food and coffee.

This coffee shop is just amazing. The food is great, the customer service is amazing. I just called for a pick up and they called me back to make sure my order was correct because I had forgotten to tell them what kind of bread I wanted. That is service right there. I have been in there shop and it is a great place to meet up with friends or quietly have a coffee to do some work. Really outstanding!!

I ordered a cake online and paid then followed up with a phone call and spoke to someone. I went to pick up cake and it wasnt available without any good explanations. I was taking cake for my Sons birthday. I was quite disappointed to say the least.

Great place to hang out. They have amazing samosas and I wish there were a place closer to where I live where I could grab-n-go a coffee, samosa, and cake all at the same time. I had the Ethiopian coffee, lentil samosas, tiramisu, and chocolate cake. All were excellent and I cant wait for the next time I have the opportunity to visit this cozy cafe in Silver Spring.

Quiet, nicely decorated coffee house. Just opened a few weeks ago. I ordered a breakfast sandwich on an everything bagel and the bagel was huge and with at least two eggs. I dont know thats standard for them but it could be a selling point in the future! It see. S like a relaxing place to come work on my laptop or read and Im looking forward to doing that soon!

A wonderful little Ethiopian coffee shop with cakes, handmade samosas, and very friendly staff.

They have a nice selection of coffee and the service was good. The chai tea is a bit on the sweet side, if thats your cup of tea. The only thing I didnt get was that we were given to-go cups instead of using their in-house cups when dining in.

Its awesome! The people are really friendly and the food and drinks are so yummy. Great place to work on the laptop or have a great conversation. Its so nice having it close to home too!

Excellent coffee and service. I had a friend tell me its the best coffee hes had in his life. While that may or may not be an exaggeration, said friend stopped by Mankira everyday when he was visiting us here in Silver Spring. It is also a good place to sit and work. I have often sat for hours with my laptop there. The first time I did that the barista behind the counter came out and helped me connect to their WiFi.

Nice place to enjoy real coffee with reasonable price. The service is awesome! The Tiramisu cake is delicious and its combination with latte is unforgettable. Worth to visit again and again.

Mankira Coffee is a clean and cozy café where you can spend your time getting work done. I began visiting the place 5 months ago and thus far I’ve had a very positive experience. The staff are friendly, prompt, and pay attention to details. Solomon and Makeda in particular will attract you to the coffee shop with their great service and approachable personalities. You will also get to network with many individuals who are entrepreneurs, contractors, consultants, and activists. I recommend Mankira to all my relatives and friends and to anyone passing through Briggs Chaney Road.

Hello everybody I just want to share with you this wonderful Ethiopian Restaurant called Mankira Coffee in Silver Springs MD. The people are wonderful and kind and the environment is very friendly. Come visit this place you will be amazes.

The coffee was mediocre. I ordered a cortado, and it was not good. Basically an extra foamy cappuccino. The service was rough at best. Our barista wasnt rude but had difficulty understanding our order even though it was straight off the menu with no modifications. The atmosphere was simple and inviting. All in all not a place I would revisit.

Fresh bread and ful. Beans were too spicy for me, but Im guessing thats what the dish is supposed to taste like.

They have the very best Vegan sandwiches I have ever eaten. I cant get enough! So happy to have a healthier menu choice that I enjoy tasting.

Mekides is one of most personable and warmest employees there at Mankira. I come in each weekend and she always has a smile. She works quickly to service each person that walks in and I really appreciate that. Thanks Mankira for being my number #1 go-to cafe in the neighborhood, Silver Spring, and within the DMV area.

A warm and wonderful respite with some of the best coffee that I have ever had. My favorite is the soy mocha. The Chai is also very interesting and prepared expertly. The decor is simply-stated with art depictions of what I assume reflects the Mankira region of Ethiopia, the birth place of coffee. There are ample seating options and free Wi-Fi.In addition, they serve, delicious pastries, cheesecake, fruit tarts, croissants and cupcakes. Light breakfast sandwiches with vegan options are available all day.The staff are polite, professional and the barristers are excellent. A sweet oasis on the midst of a coffee desert!
