My mother and i visited Office Depot originally to purchase my Parker Pen. I only use Parker bc they never fail and write so well. Lo, they didnt have one pen in stock but an associate, Maurice came to assist me. He was so pleasant and attentive to my needs, I actually took his customer service for granted and purchased a HP printer and ink cartridges too. MAURICE said, Ms, youll have to order the Parker online, so we went to a nearby computer to locate the pens (2) online and order it. Maurice was so quick in ordering after inserting my details, i almost forgot other items i needed. After i explained to Maurice my budget for a printer, he demonstrated a reasonable model and i selected it, he even got the ink, most associates dont do all this. I was quite impressed with him and his attention to detail, i felt comfortable to request him help me with the purchase to my car. I never had an associate in any Office Depot demonstrate knowledge of their products and location to have me on my way inside of 15 minutes. I usually spend 30 minutes to an hour trying to locate what i need bc most associates dont help and my mother mills around. But with Maurices quick customer service, i had what i needed and could tell my mom, were ready to go. Thank you Maurice for your professionalism in approaching me, knowledge of your products so i could purchase what i came for, and expeditious exit to be on my way fully satisfied with my purchased products. I cant wait to get notification to pick up my Parkers so i can observe if i have any other office needs. I only hope Maurice is there for the full customer experience. Thank you Maurice. Very helpful staff, we didnt have to go searching for help, because they offered as soon as we looked like we were looking for something. They knew exactly where everything was. We figured it would probably take a while to find and gather up everything but we had it all in a couple of minutes.

I always have great service when I visit this location. The general manager is always willing to help me out whenever I need it.

Michael in the print & copy section has no customer service skills and should not be behind that desk. A friend and I wanted to print out a single page resume but the ink was low in one of their printers. After addressing this to Michael he said that we have to use the other printer and pay again to print a copy or have him work on it. I had no idea what that implied, but it definitely wasnt Ill reprint it for you for free since our printer is low on ink. When he was trying to help us, he said that we had to go back of the line (8 people) until he could fix the problem.... TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

The service is bad and They have attitude. I don’t understand why they are there if they don’t like the job according to my experience I recommend to anyone to not go there It is not only The one person problem It is management.Waste of time

I visited the Office Depot at 15790 Shady Grove Rd, Gaithersburg, MD 20877 to make a small purchase.It was my first visit to this store.The Sales Advisor, Nadia, was very rude and apparently suspicious of me.I felt more like a criminal suspect than a customer while she rang up my purchase.Very little eye contact and warmth.She told me coldly that I wasnt standing in the right place (I was far from her and the customer in front of me due to Social Distancing so that wasnt the issue).When it was my turn she told me to present an ID and the credit card I was to use to make the purchase. She told me to leave them out so she could inspect them. This interaction felt weird.Nadia said, phone number! so I gave her my phone number.Nadia said, Its Invalid which confused me until she said it wasnt in the system. She meant I wasnt in Office Depots loyalty program although telling me my phone number was invalid was a very odd and unfriendly way of telling me that.She received a phone call in the middle of the transaction and it sounded like it may have been from another customer based on how she was talking.The problem with that for me was once she answered her phone she didnt say word to me after that. No thanks or bye or anything. No eye contact either.Being treated like a criminal at this Office Depot may have been based on my ethnicity...I really dont know.What I do know is that when I shop at the Office Depot at 11130 New Hampshire Ave, Silver Spring, MD 20904 they treat me very friendly. Of course, that store probably sees a more diverse clientele...again I dont know.What is Office Depots policy regarding customers presenting identification and why have I never been asked to prove my identity at any other Office Depot store?UPDATE: Ive addressed this with Office Depot Corporate. I thank them for reaching out.UPDATE Part 2: After an initial reaching out Ive heard nothing from Office Depot Corporate. Theyve dropped this issue unresolved.

What a great location with such helpful employees. Dennis at the copy center was very tentative and helpful in accomodating my needs. I am very thankful for this location that has always been a convenience for me.

I say dont go Tech Services. Incompetent people who dont know what they are doing and are actually not trained computer techs.They was one person who worked as a cashier and then worked on the computers on the side. When I arrived to check on my computer, I literally found the guy who was supposed to be working on my computer actually working in the store/retail side as my computer sat there waiting for an error to be cleared. Please go somewhere where tech support is their actual specialty instead, better use of your money.

Extremely efficient and helpful! My son was printing posters for his school officer campaign, and the gentlemen helping him was able to help get the poster looking the way my son had in mind. They even were able to print all 5 posters while we waited.

We arrived around 6:30 pm, and since the large office building should have been mostly empty, we were surprised to find the parking lot mostly full, but there is a gym that shares the parking lot.The store was busy, but it was clean and well organized. When we couldnt find the printer ink we were looking for, an employee quicky went to check to see if the had it in the stockroom.When we went to checkout there was a fairly long line, but they opened another checkout and that fixed the problem. Overall a good experience for this type of store in the busy area.

Sunday morning 10:44 am we are one of 4 other cars waiting outside the store. The website and sign on the door says 10:00 am opening today. Called the number for the store and there is no voice mail that answers. We thought that maybe the sign wasnt correct. While waiting 3 other customers have come and gone and guess what 10:59 am we are leaving too. Where is your customer service?

Its clean, organized and nice attention

Ordered a print job on Thursday at noon, said it’d be done that night at 7. Didn’t get the email saying it was done until the next day at 10 am AND when I arrived to pick it up it wasn’t finished and was done incorrectly. None of the employees knew how to work any of the printing equipment and I ended up waiting over an hour for something that should’ve taken 5 minutes to pick up. Completely unacceptable.

Rude & Accosting: Don’t use this Office Depot. Use Amazon. This was probably one my worst retail store encounters. I purchased, earlier this morning, two packs of 4 C Duracell batteries for my son’s train set. When I tried them out, they were all dead. I tested them in a flashlight I know works and they were absolutely 100% dead. I then retested the flashlight with good batteries to confirm it works. (No, I did not have the batteries in incorrectly). So, I took them back to the store. I was greeted with accusations of falsely returning old items, and questions of why I opened both packs (the train takes 6 batteries, which I had explained). I was told “people don’t return opened batteries”, “they can’t be dead, they were not open when you bought them”, and “that’s impossible, you can’t be right”. I’m an Army Officer, and certainly not a moron. I can check if a battery is good, I’m also certainly not a thief, though I was made to feel like one today.After a discussion with the manager, and accusations of me lying, I was finally able to exchange the batteries for 8 more, (and of course pay an extra $2 because they were out of the same 4 packs, that had a buy 1 get 50% off the 2nd deal). So, a return trip, that wasn’t my fault, paying more for 8 batteries, and getting accused of being a thief. I won’t be going back there again, or any other Office Depot. I would recommend you don’t either.(Also for reference, I have never posted a review on here or really any website, so it helps illustrate a point that I was quite frustrated with this experience)

I havent been to a lot of Office Depots. This one in particular seems run down. I dont know how to describe it, its just a Vibe I get. It seems like nobody likes working there and has been of a sad attitude. Store layout is not logical. I always have to ask where to find things.

2.5 stars really. Online pick up is not actually where the sign is posted so you waste time in the wrong line. Wouldve been nice to get help loading a case of paper into my cart.

Very Poor Customer Service. We were there to get office supplies on Tuesday Nov 12th at 6.30 PM there was only one customer in the store. Upon entering there was a lady who was standing by the Printing Counter playing with her phone in black jacket. I ask her if she works in the store and find out her name was Ashley(no batch). She moved her hand towards another lady standing right next to her in the middle of the center Aisle in black Jacket who was also on her phone. I went over to her and ask her if she works there (no batch), find out her name was Hungama. Asked her if we get any discount since we were buying Office supplies for our company which were over $600 dollars, she just said NO. We start shopping, store was like trash seems like bomb hitted. While shopping no one approached even once asking, if we find everything OK. Myself and my son went back and forth several times from both ladies who never moved from their place whole time playing on there phone when we looking for help. They simply move their hand towards the Aisles where it belong and go back on their phones. We were in the store for more than 45 mins. Once done we approached to cash counter and the cashier who was a guy (think Terson) was really polite and helpful.(seemed new). He start ringing, we had another two shoppers behind us who were standing there for a while for check out. Since we had two shopping cards full of stuff, I got irritated and ask him to call backup. He called for backup via his ear piece and Ashley showed up who was standing there whole time playing with her phone. He already rang up more than $400 merchandise, when he rang Rulers which were 10 in QTY, the price was not matching. We told him that we got from the bin which says $0.99 Cents. He ask Ashley who was ringing right behind him and she bluntly said no they are not 0/99 cents. I insisted to call Manager and Ms. Hungama showed up, upon asking her if she can do something since we are buy big stock, she just said NO with an attitude since all the bins are mixed up by customers. It was not just we wanted to get those Rulers for 0.99 cents but we were already so much frustrated with their behavior and their customer service, we just decided not to buy anything from the store and left. We will never shop in this store anymore since this is not first time. There is no one in the store why dont employees go ahead and fix Ailes and straight up everything with proper labels. Also if they kept playing on the phone instead of paying attention on Customer Service, that day is not far when Office Depot will be out of business. We just bought $767 dollars office supplies from Staples and are very happy with their customer service.

Positive: Generally has what I want.Negative: The checkout lines are often slow. The staff tries to sign customers up for memberships, and asks for donations to a charity drive. This is well-intentioned, but slows down the line. This morning it slowed down so much that I put down my merchandise and walked out. Customers time has value; the management of this store needs to respect it.

I needed some 11x17 photo prints done for an event. My home printer broke so I had to come here. The staff was very nice, but the print quality is not. They didnt turn bleed on so all of my photos have a white border, the colors are a little off, and theres small dots and scratches on each one. Its ok, just not good. Its also expensive, even though I supplied the paper it was the same price as well.

Poor customer service at this location by the lady manager this Saturday. They did not honor a replacement of a product that was still under warranty. Not helpful in resolving this issue!

There arent many copy machines, but the dreadlocks brown skin guy is very helpful, kind and knowledgeable 😊. The short brown skin guy is very kind and helpful as well 😊. They made my experience much more smoother.

Slowest cashiers in the business. Came in to pick up ink for my printer and got in line. Several people ahead and the cashier was chatting with the one customer and not ringing items at the same time. Two registers open and moved like molasses. Finally one of the 6 associates behind the customer counter took a customer, and that was it. Left the rest of us to wait once he was done. Id skip this location unless nobody else was in line.

The most convenient place for me to drop my packages. However, I think the lady manager there is very unprofessional. Doesnt act friendly and definitely not approachable. Hope they found someone who could manage this branch better.

No matter how empty that store always is no one is ever happy to help out. And dont bother calling and asking a question. They act as if they dont have time to help. I have a business account with them and I think Im moving my business to staples.

I went into the store to place a print order. Had to tell the salesperson to take down the specifics of my order so that I could come back and pick it up since there were other jobs in front of mine. She just assumed I wanted copies and that was it. Found her to be very unprofessional. Never received a call when my order was completed. I had to call and check myself. Very disappointed in service.

Solid. Was better when it had 2 levels of space but the prices/deals a good usually.

Tech guy didnt even open my computer said it needs battery because I told him the computer Ive bought from there yeah 4 yr ago wasnt charging. Went home follow instructions on YouTube just taking out the battery and but it back it charging great.

This particular location needs to work on having more than one cashier on the schedule on the weekends, but I really give them thumbs up for hiring people with disabilities, theyre some of most friendliest people.

Where is the zero star button? Poor customer service at the printing and fax department.No one seems to bother when trying go get some help,they just giggle and make fun while customers are struggling trying to use the fax machine.This is reference to an old guy i found him there and left him still struggling with no help after 30 mins of trying to use the fax machine.Shame on the manager on duty with dreads and his workers..

Seemed OK for an Office Depot.

I actually went there to purchase an article I had previewed on their website but it was sold at a price different from the price of the same article I saw on their website. I wondered why advertise articles at a different price on your website than that at which it is actually sold in the store.

Everyone I dealt with was kind from the person on the floor to the cashier and was greeted well when I walked into the store.very clean and neat. Ill shop there again for sure!

Unlike Staples, they actually had the stuff I need in stock, so Im pleased.

Im pretty disappointed with my trip to this Office Depot I came here to get heavy weight paper for a project Im doing and they didnt have any of all the things an office supply store could have they didnt have various weights of paper.

Called in to ask a question about their offered bios flashing, replied and immediately hang up, didnt allow me to ask if any of their other stores offered said service

Good price far better than staple

The service is way too slow because theres barely any support for the cashiers. To top it off, their machine for printing business cards is down and we didnt receive any notifications or any type of details. I tried calling yesterday and nobody would pick up.
