I really enjoyed this place. Really friendly, really and a really large selection of games. I don’t really like most board games, but I’m really into retro games and they had almost every console you can possibly want, plus a large quantity of games for each one. If I had more money I would have spent way more. The staff were great and really know what they are talking about 10/10

If you need dice, D&D books, board games, card games, Magic cards, Pokemon cards, or really anything nerdy this is an excellent place to stop in. Their vintage selection of Pokemon cards is top notch. Plus their Chessex dice sets are always a varied and interesting bunch. In addition, this shop offers Magic and D&D sessions that you can participate in. 10/10 nerds would visit again.

My only problem with the store is apparently Im not legally allowed to live there. Zoning laws and whatnot. Otherwise, if they dont have it, you dont need it. Never been disappointed they always have what I want. Huzzah!

Great store. The staff were incredibly nice and helpful and fun to talk to. You can tell they like games and they like talking about games. Cant wait to play some commander there once events are happening again.

Ive been to nearly all the local TCG shops around and none have left an impression like this one. The staff are courteous, knowledgeable, and friendly. Within minutes of entering the store we were immediately helped and found what we were looking for. We had gone everywhere else and couldnt find it until than, and the other stores were hit and miss with how nice the staff were. I highly recommend this to anyone into TCGs, retro video games, comics, and more. I know Ill definitely be back.

Friendly and helpful staff! Have a huge selection of magic cards, pokemon cards, and board games. Also has many retro video games and consoles for sale. Takes COVID precautions seriously and the staff try to answer any question you have. They also do release nights for card packs and tournaments.

Straight up amazing. The guy working there legit took time out of his day to help me find something that I can bond with my son. I was stuck between board games or cards and my son didn’t show much interest in the board games. The guy showed my son how magic the gathering works and the difference between all the cards and what they can do. Needless to say, I was just as interested in learning more about the TCG. I really appreciate you for it! Will definitely be coming back to get more cards. My son is extremely happy and so am I!

Great place, great service and a wide selection of games to choose from. Doesnt matter if its trading card games, board games, or retro video games, they either have it or will try to get it for you. Definitely recommend.

Had my hopes high because I had to find a ps3 for my 5 year old the day before his birthday because my first plan fell through. Got the system but had to buy a HDMI cord “okay, not a problem” I had plenty at home but we bought a fresh one anyway. They sold me a controller “fresh in the pack” just to get home and see it’s for PS and PS2. If I’m buying a PS3, why would you sell a customer a controller for older systems that can’t connect at all. Now the biggest gift for him tomorrow is not useful at all right now and he was so excited. I could have just went to the pawn shop I called or Pandora’s Cube and paid a little extra. Smh.

A nice little game store in Wheaton. They often open up their doors for magic the gathering and board game nights. The staff is pleasant and their selection is strong. Definitely a great place to stop for any board game/card game enthusiast.

Jimmy, Chris, Jesse and the rest of the Dice City Games team are not only magic aficionados, players of unique formats (like 93/94 Old School), and lovers of Magic artwork, they are extremely friendly and customer-focused. The physical shop itself – although not currently open due to the pandemic – is a breath of fresh air when it comes to the typical local game store atmosphere, and the community that turns out for tournaments is full of fun people who love the game. For a small shop they have an amazingly large singleton collection and I have been enjoying tinkering with my Premodern decks during the pandemic with their help to locate copies of obscure cards. And thats just me and the format I like – I know they do a great job with Standard and Modern, too. The sleeper hit about Dice City? Jimmys encyclopedic knowledge of other cool board games, collectibles, vintage video games, and pretty much any weird cool old nerdy stuff you could ever want.

This game store is like the Cheers of game stores. It is a small shop where everyone will work to know your name and make sure you are taken care of. Rather than shopping online, I prefer to pick up my MTG cards from here. The space may not be huge, but it has a huge heart and is very comfortable.

Dice City Games is easily the best gaming store in the DC metro area. Jimmy and Jesse are great people that make sure you feel welcomed unlike other stores in the area (ex. Dream Wizards). Fabulous selection of Magic the Gathering cards, for all formats, at a great price (specifically high priced cards). All around A+

This store buys cards too low and sells them too high. the store owner will try and give you arbitrary reasons as to why the prices you see on-line are inflated while posting them at that price or higher in the shop. ive seen employees take advantage of the customers lack of price knowledge multiple times(charging $1.50 for a $.75 card using their metrics for pricing). i have also heard talk from other customers that the owner complained to a customer about not spending enough money in the store. the store is in a great location, but over all i would say its worth the drive to go to another store. great board-game selection.

Found this place on reddit looking for a place to play older MTG formats. Great crowd, lot of players, friendly and helpful staff. Very welcoming, will likely be going to as many weekly events as I can.

Im new to the area, and I was a bit nervous about doing my first Magic the Gathering prerelease at a new store. However, I did not need to be worried at all. The store feels very inclusive and even has a radical inclusivity policy. Everyone I met was very nice. They also offer fair trade, local coffee during events, which is a huge bonus to me. The space is nicely laid out, and they have a ton of board games, video games, and Magic the Gathering products. Im thinking about going back for draft or Commander nights. Its definitely worth dropping in to take a look around or play some games.

Just discovered this gem in Silver Spring, and were so excited to support this local business. The staff was welcoming and kind, and their board game selection is very impressive -- a great mix of classics and new games to try. We plan to check out one of their upcoming Thursday game nights.

I went to sell some cards to buy a sealed promo. they were very nice (although they gave me a little less money then i wanted for the cards). they make every penny go the mile at their store, just make sure you leave them with your name, number and email before you leave!

Not one person said hello or welcomed me in. The prices for their vintage RPGs are relatively high, considering the condition of them. I guess Im not the type of client they want.

Went there randomly with some friends before it opened and one of the owners greated us with joy and walked us around the space showing us everything they planned to do. I have now gone back there a few times and every time the owners are friendly and helpful and do their best to make sure everyone is having a good time and is treated well.

I’m going to be honest, I expected to leave here with very little and probably never come back, I’m mostly into the nintendo games (Nes-GC) and the pictures sadly did not show me that, it was mostly MTG and DND, I’ve never been into that..... But, when I got there wow, the amount of systems and games you guys have is crazy, I never saw some of those in person and it was a dream come true, also, I did not leave with a video game, I left with a DND starter kit, I played a very weird campaign and it was probably very wrong but it was so much fun. The staff was also very kind. Thank you so much for the experience and I hope to come back soon next time I have some money in my pocket!

Dice City Games is, without a doubt, the friendliest and best game store in the DC metro area. Its still new, so some growing pains are to be expected - but a store like this is built on its community and its culture, and Dice City Games has the most open and accepting community and culture of any game store Ive ever heard of.
