This is the second time we used Tim Whistler Plumbing. First time was to check the natural gas line for our outdoor kitchen. They were magnificent then and we were very pleased this time again. Our water heater started leaking suddenly on a Friday morning, which was the original installed 20 years ago or so. We called Tim Whistler, who had us on record through our phone number. They acted quickly, and sent a technician within 3 hours. Mike, the technician, was great. He knew what he was doing, and worked diligently to replace the water heater before the evening. The whole team was really concerned and took the urgency of helping us to replace the water heater within the day. We were spared without hot water over the weekend. Thank you Tim Whistler and team. You are life savers and we are extremely grateful.
I was looking to replace an old gas range and a sink drain pipe in my condo. I live in a high-rise residential building in Bethesda, MD and it wasn’t an easy project since all changes need to be coordinated and approved with our management office. Fortunately, Tim Whistler Plumbing has done similar work in my building before. Maria was answering all my calls and provided all necessary information and documentation when Im collecting paperwork for this project. After it’s been approved she was able to schedule it for the next day, Frank and Mike came right on time and finished everything in few hours and charged a fair price for a job like that. I was very pleased with the job they have done. I will be calling Tim Whistler Plumbing for my any future plumbing jobs. I definitely recommend Tim Whistler Plumbing for their professionalism, and friendly customer service.
My husband and I have only been in our new home for about a month, so naturally some issues are starting to appear that need to be addressed. A few weeks ago, for a separate issue, I called a chain plumber and the whole time they were at my house, they were trying to upsell me on various things and the prices they were quoting seemed inordinately expensive. When our garbage disposal started leaking from the bottom, I knew we needed to consult a different plumbing team. I looked through a community Facebook group and called two numbers before trying Tim Whistler Plumbing. The first number rang until it hit voicemail and the second number just rang indefinitely. A representative from Tim Whistler answered on the second ring and within 5 minutes had me scheduled for an appointment. She quoted me three different options, and told me that she really didnt think I needed the most expensive option – this immediately made me more trusting. The day of our appointment, the timing did have to get pushed back a little, but the team was really communicative and I took no issue with this. Mike Rogers was my assigned plumber and he was friendly, professional, and efficient. I feel that the rates were exceedingly fair and ultimately this was a more pleasant experience than I could have ever hoped for. For all future plumbing needs, well be calling Tim Whistler Plumbing first.
Our old house has needed A LOT of work the last few years, and Tim’s team has done an impeccable job every time. Small jobs like clogged drains to big jobs like replacing our entire external water line have been perfect.
This is the third time I have used Tim Whistler services. They are very responsive and the workers are very professional. And they are always on time! This time Mike came to work on fixing a water pipe. He explained what he did and the area was cleaned when he finished. Very professional and nice.Maria the scheduler was very helpful and was able to get me an appointment on short notice. Very good communication with the company.I dont even look for other plumbing companies now. If I have another problem I plan to use them again.
I called Tim Whistler Plumbing in mid-February to get an estimate for changing the main water service line and repiping of a 76-year old house with galvanized pipes that were buying.Tims estimate and pricing was very reasonable compared to the other two estimates we received. From the day we gave the job to Tim to the day the the job was completed in early March 2017, we were kept informed on every step of the progress.Tim, his wife Maria and his entire crew are professional, knowledgeable, detailed-oriented and friendly.During the 2-1/2 day job, Tim kept us informed of the progress and when we made a few changes to the job scope, he evaluated the changes and provided the cost for the change order. There were no surprises and we are very happy with the end result. Even when we had to call Tim for a leak in a hose bib that we discovered 4 weeks later, we received the same prompt and professional attention at no cost.We highly recommend Tim Whistler Plumbing and will use them again.
We had a mysterious leak in our basement and called Tim Whistler Plumbing. Robert came out and diagnosed the problem quickly. He explained the situation to us, provided us with an estimate, and then began the work. It required him to cut through a wall to get to the portion of the pipe that needed to be replaced. Robert was terrific. He was very communicative, very capable, and very pleasant. The work was done extremely well and he even cleaned up when he was done. He was a pleasure to have in our home, as well as being an excellent plumber.
We had a sewer backup and Mike Fleming and the team (Mike Rogers and a contractor) did a great job in replacing a part of the sewer pipe of our house under the basement slab. Also, Maria was very kind and responsible for scheduling, and Tim responded quickly whenever I asked questions by email and explained things in detail where needed before and after the work.More specifically, they came to diagnose the issue with a snake and a camera and identified that there was a root intrusion which blocked and damaged the pipe. They provided honest view and possible (best and worst) scenarios before the actual work. Then, with a two-day work, they broke the floor tiles and concrete slab, replaced the part of pipe with the problem, gravel to bed the pipe and backfill the hole, and fitted the floor with a cement finish. Throughout the work, Mike and the team were professional and friendly. They showed videos and explained the observed issues and made great efforts in addressing the issue. They covered the floor and a door where needed, cleaned up after the work. They of course came on time.I appreciated their professional attitude and accountability. Hope they will continue the great business practices.
I read up on Tims reviews and thought he was a good fit for installing the water softener i ordered. So i called him up and scheduled an appointment to get my water softener installed and after i sent him the information about my water softener, he told me it would be $750-$950; this was 10 days in advance... 9 days later, he calls up and said that the water softener i owned was unusually complicated and that it would require more time than he anticipated and that he did not know how much it would end up costing he then told me it could be around $1300-$1500 but he was not sure... He said there could be less than 10 feet of pipe and that he had to install a valve to counter that, then he said he had to put bleach in the brine container and also that he had to install a 2-way valve on top of the system bypass... Honestly it felt like he just did not want to do the job and that is fine but i really wish he did not make me wait 9 days before he had this change of heart. The system was designed for municipal water, not well water... I do not know why Tim keeps saying this. I sent him all the information prior to the job.The system I bought was the Residential Dual Media Softeners with Watts W100 Valves, MODEL NO. M3011-W100SM-CR.Please be the judge.
Being new in the area, we searched for licensed gas plumbers to check on the natural gas line for our outdoor kitchen in our new home. We looked at reviews and we usually jump to the low ratings and see the reason why. We saw that this company does not have many low ratings and even the reasons for the low ratings did not seem justified. More importantly the comments from the owner was what made us decide to use this company. He is concerned and has genuinely tried to mitigate the problems, and definitely sees customer service as important and really wants to keep his great reputation. That made us feel safe on going with them. The scheduling was great, the plumber came on time and was very professional. He checked our gas line, found it to be safe, assured us some rust on the pipe was superficial and was not part of the inner gas pipe. We paid only $125 for the visit. They did not try to take advantage of us. We will definitely go back to them.
I desperately needed a new water heater and it became a crisis the week of Thanksgiving. I called on Monday and my new heater was installed by Tuesday. Not only did he install a new heater, he took the old one out at no additional cost to me. Would absolutely recommend. They were professional, friendly, and on time. Very grateful to them for their prompt and excellent service.
We have used this company for many years. Professional, reliable, and observing safety protocols for pandemic. From plumbing upgrades to emergency repairs, this is the one to call.Weve used them for new hot water heater, new toilet, new faucet, basement drain replacement, pipe repair etc. Some repairs were upgrades to a house we had for sale.
I had to replace my hot water heater and I reached out to Tim Whistler Plumbing for the job. I am really glad that I did! I inquired through yelp and received a response minutes later. From then on, Tim and Maria were amazing at communicating with me. I provided photos of my hot water heater and Tim provided an explanation of the work that needed to be done (and the parts that needed to be ordered). This was even before I had signed any paperwork which was even more awesome. Tim took the time to respond to all my questions and ensure that I understood all the work that would be done. Maria was also great at corresponding with me, figuring out a time that worked for me and the technicians, and helping me navigate the inspection process for our new heater. When there was a manufacturing problem, they were quick to send someone out to fix it and wanted to make sure that we were happy with the job that they did. In the process of replacing our hot water heater, we met Pete, Frank, Tim, and Ben. Each technician was really friendly and efficient. Working with Tim Whistler Plumbing reminded me of why I love working with small businesses: the attention to detail, quick responses, and consideration that is given to each job. Overall, I cant recommend Tim Whistler Plumbing enough.
I had quite a bit of work done over the past week on my plumbing and Tim and his crew were the best. I had a leak in my upstairs bathroom sink drain behind the wall, Tim came himself and diagnosed the problem and Matt did a really great job repairing the leak and left my bathroom nice and clean when he was finished. Then I had my Kitchen faucet go out over the weekend and started leaking pretty bad. I called Tim and he promptly called me back and walked thru with me over the phone what the problem was and fit me in on their busy schedule today and replaced the faucet and stop the leak. They also are taking every precaution during COVID which also puts your mind at ease. Ive definitely found my new go to plumber and have already recommended them to others. If you want great service, honest work, and a company that truly cares about their customers than look no further than Tim Whistler!!!
Tim and his crew and staff are top notch! We could not have asked for a more customer-friendly experience from this highly professional team. From the office staff to the plumbers/gas fitters who worked at our house, we knew we we were always in good hands. They coordinated the various phases of our large project with our propane and chimney companies, promptly resolved issues on our behalf, and provided expert advice and support throughout. A pleasure dealing with them all!
I needed a hot water heater, mine was on its last legs. First, I spoke to Maria who was friendly, knowledgeable and responsive. I was able to get an estimate based on my description of what I needed and work was scheduled and completed quickly. The plumber was excellent, quality materials and workmanship, he was professional and courteous too. He loved dogs too which made the appointment so much more pleasant because I didn’t need to lock the dog up to get my new hot water heater.I would not hesitate to call them again.
We had our restroom sink start to leak and this company had a gentlemen, Mike, come out the next morning. And the cherry on top was that Mike was able to replace the pipe without taking apart the sink. He was clear that he might have to do that but he worked his magic. Also I neglected to mention that our sink stopper was also not working when he first started but he was still able to fix it and was really nice about it. Definitely the place to call when your having plumbing problems. Oh and Maria who took our call was really nice and helpful as well.
Ask for Mike. He is the man. Seriously. Maria was also so kind on the phone. Safe to say, Tim Whistler is now my go-to for any and all plumbing needs.
I used this company to replace a broken/leaking shut off value at my residence. I found the communication and responsiveness of the company to be great. The plumber who came to the house, rob, was professional, courteous, and did a fantastic job. I would definitely use this company again and recommend them to anyone in the area with plumbing needs.
When I called Tim about my mainline leak he was upfront about what needed to be done and the reasons as to why. He wasnt shy about giving me alternate options that might be cheaper. This wasnt the first time dealing with his company, but even from my previous experience I noticed the level of honesty and customer service was exceptional. After I decided to replace the entire line, he showed up with his crew on time and was there through most of the replacement process. His crew was also very friendly and were more than happy to explain the process.Highly recommended!
Tim and his team are great-- expert craftsmen who are very responsive and professional.
We just used them for a second time. Why? Because the first time, they were great, on time, competitively priced and worth a try based on ratings we read. And we had them back because now we had first hand experience with a great local company. Why roll the dice on a nationally franchises company when you can call Tim Whistler? We had new sump pumps and backups put in. Never cheap, but priced very fairly and to save us money, when they realized they’d replaced one of our sump pumps about one year ago (we’d forgotten), they were completely upfront and told us we only needed one new pump because our other sump was new and high quality. Not that you ever want to need a plumber. But when you do, call them.
Lets face it. Nobody wants to call a plumber. But if you have to, call this guy. The service was great. He fit me in on the same day, even asking one of his technicians to stay late in doing so. The technician was very nice, professional, and cleaned up after himself. If I need plumbing work in the future I will call again! Maria was very nice on the phone. (I had a clogged drain cleared and a new garbage disposal installed)
My wife and I were having problems with the temperature control in our shower and I contacted Tim Whistler online. They were quick to respond and provided a firm quote. The service was timely and fixed our issue. I couldnt have asked for much more.
Technician was professional and efficient. Moreover, he answered all my questions and made suggestions on making my gas fireplace more efficient. Highly recommend.
Tim Whistler Plumbing has been exceptional to work with as weve slowly fixed up an old house. Tim and his team are knowledgeable, courteous, honest, and are clearly very skilled. Old houses like mine, with a hodgepodge of different plumbing types and systems added, patched, and repaired over 70+ years can be a nightmare, but Tim and his team expertly work out how to best attack each problem. Their pricing is fair and they have been straightforward about the costs and benefits of different ways of addressing each issue, as well as about what needs to be addressed immediately and what can wait. I have repeatedly been extremely impressed with this company.
I really appreciate Tim Whistler’s professionalism and accommodating services! Ben did a great job fixing a leaking gas pipe and thoroughly explained the issues and repair for us. Will be continuing using their services in the future.
Recently replaced my outdoor sump pump. Communications during all phases of the repair were excellent. They contacted me immediately after I requested a quote. Pricing was fair and as quoted for the work. The work was great, well-explained during and after and completed on time. Hoping I dont need a repair anytime soon but if I do, I will be calling Tim Whistler.
I cant say enough about Tim and his crew. These guys were fantastic. Professional, timely, and hard working. We had a main water valve job and a water heater replacement. The space was tight and they worked their magic. Ill be a repeat customer time and time again for any work I need done. Thanks Tim!
We found Tim on Google when we were looking for a second opinion on plumbing needs for our new house. Tim answered our call over Thanksgiving break while out of town, and still walked us through scenarios and pondered/explained the repairs our other plumber proposed. Based on this we went with him, and we were so impressed with his work. Hes very detailed and his work is of the highest quality. Were very happy we used him, and plan on using him again in the future.
It is altogether comforting to deal with a local business. They pay taxes where you do, send there kids to school locally, vote, banks, go to church, and are protected by the same police and fire departments. In other word, they have a lot in common with the people that they serve. They need and want your repeat business and because of that he will do the best job possible. And that is just what they do! Always a fair shake and quality work.
TW is great! Helped us out quickly and addressed multiple plumbing issues. Definitely recommend!
Could not be happier with their work. Im a homeowner whos worked with close to a dozen plumbers in the last 8 years. Im glad to have now found one who excels in all areas; actual skill in doing the work, logistics of scheduling, getting a quote, getting parts needed, etc. they are more than a good plumbing company, they are a really good company in every way. the guys that did the jobs I had were really nice to be with to, and most of all, they have a lot of experience and seriously know how to do it right the first time.they impressed me so much, im spending my free time writing reviews for them.
Really great work and came in more affordable than other estimate I received! I needed help with getting a gas dryer installed - specifically adding extensions to an existing gas line and the hook up. The installation company, allegedly a licensed plumber, sent by the big box appliance store not only quoted me an extremely high quote for the job but mentioned what turned out to be unnecessary work. Working with Tim Whistler Plumbing was super easy. I was able to schedule an appointment quickly. I received updates via text message leading up to the appointment. Their staff showed up on time and finished the project very quickly. I would definitely use them again if I need plumbing or gas fitting help in the future!
Tim Whistler Plumbing moved a kitchen gas line for my wife and me. I spoke to Tim on the phone and he was very polite. Rob and Mike came out to do the work. They were very friendly and professional. They did the work quickly and for the estimated price. Highly recommend.
In full disclosure, Tim is a former neighbor so I naturally thought of Whistler Plumbing and Gas Fitting when our sewer line backed up on Mothers Day. Tim was out to our home within an hour and worked to get our drains clearing again. Whistler Plumbings professionalism is evident from the start as the costed and potential costs are detailed over the phone before they come out.Roots had grown into my sewer line so Tim talk through with me the options I have to deal with the situation and provided me with a written estimate of the work.I highly recommend Whistler Plumbing as their work is always done professionally competently.
5 star process from start to finish. They confirmed their appointment and texted when they were on the way. Rob Wagner was the plumber who helped me out and couldn’t have been better. One of the best contracting experiences I’ve had.
When utilizing a Home Warranty plan....they will gouch you for the deductible and do absolutely nothing!
Tim has been great for small jobs and big ones alike. He and his team are prompt and professional. Hes excellent at describing alternatives and working with you to get the best result. Hes my go-to plumber and Ive recommended him to many friends.
Ill definitely be keeping Tims number handy! Their service response time is fast, theyre reasonably priced, the work is thorough, and service guys are curious and knowledgeable. What more could you ask for?
We had to turn off our water on a Sunday due to pipe issue where water was coming back into the house. I called on Sunday afternoon and was able to get an appointment for Monday midday. Rob arrived on the early part of the timeframe and I received notice when he was on the way. Rob assessed the issue and kept trying until the problem was resolved. He tried a few different things and even got into the crawl space to better assess the issue. I really appreciated that he did not give up and just tell us to pursue a more expensive fix. He also treated me with respect I dont always get as a female homeowner. I cannot recommend Tim Whistler and Rob highly enough.
Tim and his team have been my go to plumbing service whenever issues arise. I really appreciate the prompt and professional service. Highly recommended!
Henry arrived on time and cleared our shower drains. He worked efficiently and cleaned up afterwards. We have used this company twice. Highly recommend this company!
Ive used Tim Whistler Plumbing for several jobs and always been happy. They arrive on time, they are professional and pleasant to work with, and the work is done well. Ive had a couple of plumbing emergencies, and theyve responded immediately.
Im incredibly displeased with the services that Tim Whistler Plumbing provides. Not only were we substantially overcharged for minimal plumbing work but they actually broke our shower. When I called to ask Tim when he intended to come by and fix the shower that HE broke, he hung up on me! Work with them at your own risk!
Tim provided a reasonable quote and excellent service. He was responsive and easy to work with. We will definately call him first if we need anything else.
Thank you for my faucet . It looks very nice in my kitchen . Ben did a wonderful job I was wondering do you work on sump pumps?
Great work. Fair price and was very responsive and on time.
Ive been using TIm & co. for about 8 years. Every job has always been done well, and they are very responsive over email / text.
Tim was on time, worked to fix our problem quickly and was very professional. We will definitely use Tim Whistler Plumbing in the future.
Great company!
Reliable, fair, and expert craftsmanship!
