Well, this place surely hits the spot. Great for breakfast but came here for lunch with a coworker who was raving about this place and she did not fail me.We ended up getting the palisades and Malibu and split the sandwiches. They were both delicious but the palisades was the clear winner.The employees here are helpful and very kind. Great job on the sandwiches and prices are reasonable.Overall, it’s an easy 5 for me and I definitely recommend the cheese bagel.

Okay, Im hooked. I found this spot searching for a decent bagel in Simi Valley (the other places were a big no from me, by the way) and this blew away expectations. The bagels are fantastic but even more exciting are there wonderfully curated bagel sandwiches and delicious burritos. I tried the iced vanilla latte and it was yummy, too. What a great small business with great tasting and great quality food!

I finally was able to try this place and Im so glad I did! Hands down, the best bagels and bagel sandwiches Ive ever had. The first time I had the Palisades sandwich. It was so good I immediately contacted my friend and told her she had to try it. My bf got their cold brew which was also quite good. A little too pricy for me to frequent too often (the bagel sandwiches range from $10 to $12.50,) but given the quality, its definitely worth it.

Definitely my new favorite breakfast spot!! The food is incredible, coffee is delicious with so many unique flavors, and the staff is SO KIND! Very sweet people with awesome sense of style. I love coming here. The prices are a little high but you definitely get what you pay for, and it’s so rewarding to support our local businesses.

Finally a good bagel in Simi! I’ve been trying to find a good bagel shop here for months and I think this is it. I got the Hooked Bagel (sausage, fried egg, and cheese) on an everything bagel. It was delicious! A little expensive at $10 but the quality was great. I also got an iced macchiato with toffee and hazel nut which was really good.

Great everything bagels!!!! They also have their own cream cheese, which isnt as sweet as what you buy at the store. However, it tastes amazing. I would recommend people to stop by and try this joint out as a good breakfast or brunch.Recommendation: Provide a menu throughout the drive thru line, not just whe. You get to the speaker.

Im missing something. We spent more than a half hour in line this morning, got our 2 bagels and could not be more dissatisfied and disappointed. We got 2 everything bagels, toasted with cream cheese. We instead got 2 thin pieces of what looks to be a bagel, a bit rubbery and not even close to being toasted and cream cheese spread as though it was butter.Back to Johns Bagel Works for us.

There was a lot of mix up with the orders going on at the time of our visit; I heard the drive thru apologizing to someone for a mix up on their order, and then I was brought the wrong drink as well. Some of the descriptions of food and drink items on the menu or when asking the staff were not very thorough, so we had some surprises upon receiving our food. However, the staff was very friendly and helpful, and food was good.

Food was good, but I wouldn’t call it a “good value.” However, if you’re really into bagels, this place is great.

First time trying this place and wow. Everything was delicious! My coffee was on point, the bagel was perfect. There was a very friendly professional person taking our order and the same receiving it at the window. But......... the drive thru was SO slow. We waited 20 minutes just to get to the speaker to order. I cant imagine being in a rush to go to work and waiting that long. Multiple cars behind us left the line so Im not sure if that is the norm for the drive thru area. My husband and I will definitely be returning though since good food is worth the wait.

The first time I tried this establishment I couldnt wait it out in the drive through line for 25 minutes so I bailed and chalked it up to it being new and they had to work out the kinks. I tried again today and ordered a bagel (not toasted or buttered - just a bagel in a bag). My husband ordered a coffee drink. It took over twenty minutes and I had to go back inside to see what was taking so long. The bagel was hard as a rock but the person who handed it to me said I should heat it up when I got home and it would be fine. First of all, how did she know I wouldnt be eating it in my car? I lightly toasted it when I got home and you could still have broken a window with it. I called to advise them that they may want to take the rye bagels out of the case, as they are inedible. I didnt get a sorry, just was lied to and told that the bagels were baked this morning. There is no way. This bagel tasted and felt like it had been sitting in the case uncovered for a week. And the cute little chocolate bean pierced by a toothpick inserted into the lid melted everywhere and the toothpick dropped into the coffee cup. A safety hazard at best, idiotic at worse.

Great home cooked food. They prepare on the spot. Yea you may wait an extra minute but the food is FRESH.

This is my favorite place for breakfast and lunch and everything in between in Simi. The San Diego bagel sandwich is a must try. Great service and food

I couldnt say more good about this place. And everyone that I have had try this place also loves it. It saddens me that theyve changed their hours to close at 3:00 as I now rarely get to enjoy their awesome coffee drinks.

Great little local spot.well worth a stop! I walked inside rather than doing the drive through which, like most drive throughs was busy-good for them, these are tough times.I waited patiently and was rewarded with a freshly steeped Earl grey latte with lavender and honey. (forgot the name) but a must try.Breakfast sandwiches look amazing for next timr.Ill be back for sure!

The bagel was very good, the strawberry smoothie went straight into the trash.Since the place just opened I wont judge to hard for this and will probably give them another chance but waiting for 45 minutes in the drive trough for this meal was not worth it.

I’m so beyond impressed with Get Hooked! I grew up in Thousand Oaks and was disappointed not to have a good bagel breakfast place when I moved to Simi Valley! My prayers have been answered! Their coffee is incredibly delicious! Their bagels are incredible and fresh! AND THEY HAVE A DRIVE THROUGH! I haven’t used it because I enjoy the staff and their kindness, but I will when I’m in a hurry! This is my new go to! Bye bye Starbucks! Thank you Get Hooked I’ve been waiting for you for 4 years ♥️

We waited in the drive through for 30 minutes for 2 drinks a bagel sandwich and a burrito. They tried to give us the wrong drink twice one worker gave us a drink and didn’t know we still had food to get. After waiting 25 minutes we waved down a worker to be told the cheese bagel was being made fresh. Why don’t you tell the customer that before they pay or before making new ones so they can change their bagel flavor and avoid waiting so long? This was the worst service I’ve had the people working the drive through had no idea what was going on. We were the only customers there the whole time so I’m not sure where the mix ups came from. I’m all for supporting small business but honestly I’d rather have had a refund than wait 30 minutes in a drive thru and spend 35 dollars for sub par food. After getting home we found out our order was incorrect so we called in the manager gave us a full refund. While I appreciate that I don’t plan on coming back and will make sure not to recommend this place. The customer service isn’t bad but the wait and pricing is too steep i can get the same thing at Panera bread for half the price and 1/4 of the wait time. I understand food is made fresh but honestly stop offering drive thru or warn customers of the wait before we pay. I don’t often write reviews but a day later and my annoyance with the overall experience of this is still here.

Great customer service! The team was so nice and welcoming. I like the atmosphere. We ordered bagels with cream cheese and an ice latte and a banana smoothie. I love cream cheese and I usually add a lot on my bagel, however I think they’re too generous with the cream cheese. It tasted good regardless. Both the ice latte and the banana smoothie could use a little more sugar.

Its nice to have family owned businesses in Simi. It was a nice experience and their bagels are top notch.

Their coffee and breakfast is really good. I was justifying the average 20-30 min wait whether or not there was 3 cars ahead or none, thinking it’s because your food is being made and should come out hot and it’s cold.... it’s also PRICY. And the icing on the cake is, you don’t even get a thank you for the wait!

I was craving a bagel but didnt want to get dressed and my husband told me about a drive thru bagel place called Get Hooked .Yes perfect !!!.5 minutes later Im in their drive thru.I ordered their jalapeño and cheese bagel with chive cream cheese. Absolutely delicious and Im still in mt jammies

Food is good but 25 min.wait in drive through with only 1 car ahead. $6 for 2 tiny sliders is a bit steep and $4 for 12 tater tots is steep. $24 for 4 mini sliders, pomegranate tea and a side of sliders.

So this place is alright. The bagels are kinda standard but pretty good. The coffee drinks is a bit of a miss but their caramel one is good. I cant give it too much bad judgement though as it is the only real bagel place in simi valley I have found. What I dont understand is the 45min wait in a drive thru when there is only three cars in line. I know they say they make it fresh but unless your literally making the bagel itself from scratch on the spot I still dont understand. I can get a dozen at another shop in a quarter of the time and still have them toast it all and put cream cheese on it. All I ordered was a drink and two bagels. 45min is unacceptable in any drive thru.

I had their breakfast wrap and one of their speciality ice coffees. Iced coffee was a little on the sweet side for me but I dont personally sweeten my coffee much, still very tasty with the hazelnut and vanilla syrups. The breakfast wrap was super satisfying for any morning craving and has bacon AND sausage plus a ton of avocado goodness. 4 stars only because I sat in the drive thru (just me no other cars were in front or behind) for close to what felt like 10-15 minutes. I was in no rush though so didnt bother me but might not be the pit stop to make if in need of a quick bite.

Unfortunately after giving this establishment several chances I will not be able to continue to patronize this cafe. The wait is very long but for a mom and pop place I was willing to be patient and wait it out. But when you wait 20 min in line to get home and have your order wrong is very frustrating let alone having it happen more than once. The final straw was this morning I went and ordered an onion bagel and waited 20 min just to bite into it and it being clearly stale and very under-toasted. Really wanted get hooked to be my new go to place in the morning. :(

I really enjoyed what I had to eat here. I ordered the Palisades bagel and it was wonderful. I also ordered the Kappa coffee, I ordered hot and it was delicious. I will definitely be back for more.

I tried them for the FIRST time today, and I am sooooo glad I did! I ordered 2 bagels (1 premium, one regular): a cheesy jalapeño with onion and chives cream cheese, and an everything bagel with the same spread, both toasted— DELICIOUS!!!! I also ordered a hot cocoa with whipped cream, it was sooo RICH and CHOCOLATEY— it REALLY hit the spot, for me! They have a handy-dandy frequent customer card, which they will gladly stamp in order for you to redeem ANY SIZE & DRINK, FREE! I must admit, it isn’t the fastest drive-thru; but what does everyone complaining here EXPECT? You pay a REASONABLE PRICE for QUALITY, hand-crafted product made to order; the reason McDonalds and Jack N Box near-by are quick, is because they mass produce burgers, etc. and they are put under heat lamps. These people CLEARLY don’t do that here, I think it is worth a little extra waiting; and the generosity of choices is over-whelming for true BREAKFAST LOVERS like myself!! Next time, I am thinking about getting one of their pizza bagels, or perhaps try something with a little Unicorn Cream Cheese 😋😋😋!!! ****PS, I LOVE the way you guys cut your bagels!! You are the FIRST I have seen do this, SOOO HANDY when I’m trying to study my nursing notes with one hand, and eat with the other! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK, I WILL be BACK!!!

Not fast enough

This is a unique spot I wasn’t aware of until a couple of months ago. Man I’ve been missing out. We need more unique spots like this in Simi. They have special drinks and lattes as well as food items you wouldn’t expect like burritos and salads. The coffee itself was really good and strong (which I prefer) I got extremely caffeinated so maybe I won’t get a large (my fault) so if you wanted something different from Starbucks and support a local business I would suggest checking this place out.
