This place is my dream come true. I always leave with 3-6 books & never spend more than $10-18. The staff does an amazing job at supplying a beautiful selection of books. They feel brand new for a price u cant find anywhere else. I’ve picked up such cool finds I’d never heard of before, like Philosophical themes in the film Inception!! Staff is always super friendly & sweet. Always a pleasure to stop by. ❤️

I love the $5 bookstore in Simi Valley. They save me hundreds of dollars a year. There is no place I would rather spend an hour than inside the $5 bookstore looking for literary treasures and little gifts for family and friends.

Wonderful bookstore! I really like how they are taking necessary precautions to help make the customers and employees feel safe during this pandemic. Kudos to them! Every encounter Ive had with an employee has been nothing but positive and helpful. There are so many hidden gems in this bookstore. I was able to find some beautiful art books for only five dollars. Crazy, considering how expensive they normally are. I highly recommend this bookstore.

Having spent quite some time looking around for the paperback version of outlander it wasnt even on my mind when we went in here for the first time to just look around. As a family of readers we can rarely pass up the opportunity to visit a book store, used or not.So when I stumbled across the Outlander books all nicely lined up, 3$ each and in such great condition I couldnt be happier!My husband other hand went straight to their sci-fi section and went missing for the next 20 minutes.So if youre looking for well priced but high quality books that could in some cases pass as new give this place and its wonderful staff a chance, it will be worth your time!

The staff is always friendly. There is always a great selection of graphic novels. I personally went this last time for a book I needed for my job. It was right up front displayed in the window! You cannot get great books at a cheaper price with nicer people to help you out.

Always find something to read and I love the great pricing!! Their safety practices made the whole visit comfortable and safe.

Excellent kids section. Best to go early before it gets destroyed. I go here for everything from fiction to graphic novels to classics. Cant best the price. Hard bound usually run $3-5 and soft covers $1-2. Check out the vintage books, too!

Great place.best used book store, where books are only $5. Some only a year or 2 old..but the staff could be a little nicer.

I have gone here a number of times. I was with a friend this time not planning to buy anything, but I did. You never know what you may stumble upon. Right now, as you enter the store, they have you wear gloves that they provide at the entrance. My friend loves their bargain books or $1 books that they have in the back of the store. She limited herself to only 5 of those books. Its always fun to get lost in the store, you never know what youll stumble upon.

Wonderful selection of books. Even seeing older books in the store is like visiting with old friends. Always something new to find. The employees are a delight and you can tell they have an amazing passion for books.

Thank God theres a real book store in town. Only one I know of.

Great place for discount books

Were new to the area and since Im a book nerd, what better place to be. The staff are helpful and nice and they keep the shelves organized. I asked them for an author and the woman took me to the section he was located. Make sure you bring a bag with you, they offer a 10% discount if you have one.

Haven’t been here in a while due to the horrible management and customer service so not sure if things have gotten any better. There’s two women in particular who make the store a drag to be in, one is outwardly rude while the other is clearly no good to the employees. Not a great selection either, same titles over and over again. Also don’t bother attempting to trade in books, they’ll be extremely rude.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Every employee was rude and forceful about having to wear gloves in the store even though the facility was completely dirty. Trash on the ground and 2 homeless guys walking around without masks on but me and my family get confronted about wearing gloves? Lack of cleanliness aside, almost all the DVDs were scratched and the books had torn pages and water damage. Will never recommend and will never return. Should just be shut down.

Love love love this store! While you cant necessarily go in looking for something very specific, they have some of everything. Organization is on point, and the staff is always friendly. Last time I went in I got a book on a topic I was looking for, but also ended up leaving with a CD because... 50 cents? You cant beat that! If you need some retail therapy but dont have much to spend, this is the place to go!

We love this place. A good variety of books with very friendly helpful staff. Its a bit dated but thats fine by us, its a used bookstore with lots of character.we love to sit in the childrens section and read to our daughter. We usually leave with a couple of kids books. We always spend more than we should but thats okay because we have to keep them in business. TIP: they used to have a public restroom and now they dont and they recommend he use the Staples bathroom but dont! Its disgusting. Spend the extra few minutes and walk to Sprouts. Very clean and new facilities.

The sales people are as nice as can be. The bend over backwards for you.

They have lots of books which are organized well. Its easy to find the category you are looking for. They are mostly used but have new books mixed in. The prices are great. Many under $5.00. They have a few comfy chairs.

Stopped by yesterday . Asked if they buy or take trades. Was told yes by the guy at the counter. Came back today with a box of books. Place was busy and as we made our way to the counterSome lady starts yelling at us. Apparently they dont do trades on Saturday. She was screaming at us for no reason . For one thing we did not know and were not told that. There is no reason to raise your voice we just wanted to do business . You shouldnt expect customers to know all of your rules. Had she been at the very least civil we would have come back another day . That woman needs to learn some manners

This was my first visit to this store and I was very impressed. I spent over an hour just browsing their extensive cookbook section. The cashier was very friendly and helped me to reserve a book they currently did not have in stock. I will definitely shop here often.
