Think twice or three times before going here to trade in your video games people IT HIGHWAY ROBBERY & they know it is the sad part!! Its a real bummer cause it seems like a really cool place!!!
The Game Exchange is my favorite vintage video game stores in California let alone Ventura County and its nice to have one so close to home The owner has gone above and beyond to have a wonderful collection of video games both modern and vintage And all are at incredibly reasonable prices
Wonderful place to relax and play some games. The owner and staff are very nice and extremely helpful. My kids asked tons if questions and needed a lot of help getting the games going, and the staff never got mad, but instead helped them out and gave them tips. It was a wonderful experience. We will be back and we will book some birthday parties here.
Employees/owners are very nice, one literally gave us the screen protector off of his own phone when he saw my friends broken screen. Theyll turn on the air hockey table or arcade games for anyone who comes in. They host tournaments for various games and they carry games for a huge variety of consoles. Fun place just to browse in.
The game exchange is alot of fun. They have been around for forever. The current owner Joe is a cool guy and really does his best for his customers, he definitely does for me. Not gaming as much as I use to but anything retro and any old console repairs I do need I know where Im going.
Aside from holding classic to modern games, The Game Exchange holds a super helpful and friendly staff that most likely will not give you a hard time. Their private parties allows users to play supplied video games for hours and it is definitely great fun. Their repairs are also on the cheaper side, as I heard.
This place is so fun, i would recommend it for a party venue and if you are video game collector and are in need of nostalgia kick, this is the place to go to!!! Great customer service!
DO NOT BE SCARED TO ASK IF THERE IS ANYTHING IN THE BACK. Unlike most video game stores where the glassy eyed employee will look at you blankly and say Everything is on the shelf/in the case (I see that stack of games back there!! What are they broken? Sold? On hold for someone? Acknowledge them!) this store has ample stock in the back that they will happily bring out if you ask them to. Im not talking duplicates either, I mean real quality titles that they just dont have space for on the floor. The owner here is a great guy, several times I have been in there and he is always talking to the customers in the store, giving great customer service and taking an interest in what they have to say. It is a welcome change from your standard game store where at most they look up briefly to utter a few forced grunts before going back to playing on their phones. In my opinion they used to have a stock problem but in the last 2-3 months they seem to have fixed that, they have had a good selection of NES titles the last two times I have been there and the owner says he is working on getting more.He also services and cleans up new and retro consoles from what I gather. So I think he is worth checking out.
Ive been coming here for years. The owner Joe is a great guy and is reliable. They are one of the only reasons to go to the Simi mall.
Great store better than the stop. My son is in heaven. This place had old console adapters and av cords!
I believe it was Jacob that helped me after i had a terrible experience at game dude. They had the game i wanted and he was helpful and answered every question i had. The store was beautiful, clean, well put together and easy to find anything i will be back soon
Awesome place for games. They have a full size arcade of Time Crisis, the classic arcade shooter from our childhood. They also have way more choices than GameStop and have a much bigger selection of systems going all the way back to Nintendo and systems of that era. Definitely worth stop by to check it out and play a game of Time Crisis!
Cool place. Lots of games. Fun little arcade!
Free arcade games to play. Free Super Smash Melee to play. Classic systems available and employees know their product and can assist in locating rare games
Joe the owner was really helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. They have a great selection of games for every system which is nice to go in and be able to browse some classics, that are a blast to play. I love going here and walk out with some piece of nostalgia every time. I have got playstation 2 Nintendo 64, and Nintendo DS games, as well as cords cables and memory cards i needed for my systems. Theyre rental policy is awesome and if you buy a game and dont like it you can take it back with in 3 days. This place is a blessing. Glad you guys are in business.
Ive been going to the game exchange for close to a year and a half and honestly I cant recall ever having a bad experience. The employees are always there to help you find what your looking for and are always ready to fix a problem you might have with lets say a game disc or even a console. My friends and I have preferred this store from the others in the area and well continue to come here. Id recommend this store for anyone looking for retro video games.
Had a really hard time finding animal crossing anywhere even LA. But I called here and sure enough they had a copy. But the next day I went back for a memory card for my gamecube. And Ive been waiting over 20 minutes for them to open, sign on door says 1pm...Man from store called me personally to apologize and let me know they had it in stock.I appreciate the customer service this store has!
Has a good selection of modern and retro games. I recommend to anyone in the area.
Amazing service. I needed The Sims 4 and they had it unlike Target or Gamestop. I recommend The Game Exchange to any serious gamers.
It was closed midday weird hope all is well
Great looking store friendly staff, small selection all the good stuff wasnt for sale or huge up charge to make you not want to buy it. Most items were on the higher end of retail, better to shop eBay get a better deal.
Even if the selections a bit limited, if you ask them they can have something ordered and brought in. Theyre one of the few places around to still do game rentals, and they dont limit themselves to just current and last gen gaming. NES and Genesis beside PS4 and Wii games, a whole display dedicated to all the handheld generations. The guys (and girl, I think shes still there) are friendly and helpful unless youre being deliberately rude.
I cant in good conscious recommend this place to anyone. They bought 5 of my 3DS games for $45, which was far below even cash value of GameStop. I cant believe I lost 5 games for store credit. And they also are selling Nintendo Selects games for more than $25 when their price brand new is $20This place is honestly robbery. Please do not shop here.
Incredibly polite and helpful staffThey fixed my problem AND located another problem i had. Fixed it all in a matter of minutes! You guys are awesome :)
I’ve been to many video game stores and this is THE BEST video game store I have ever been to
Great Service and amazing prices will be coming back
Great place, excellent prices, and fabulous people, I would recommend any legit gamer to this place.
