Nice and quite place. Has an Indonesian mini market nearby, and cargo that ships to Indonesia.
Great food, good service and friendly staff. Our family ordered a huge amount of food, and all of it was spot-on delicious. We had a wonderful time.
Go for the food, not the service. Greeted after a while then told to sit. Took our drinks order. The store adjacent seemed better stocked than some for the style and range of foods available and prices are reasonable. If you like the food on offer would mean you could easily recreate at home.Placed our food order and within 5 minutes our food came, first time at this restaurant and so far was not fully impressed. Our drinks never arrived and as we left and pointed out to the lady serving us she apologized, seems more interested in talking to her guest at the counter, not fully her fault as only on by herself.Parking is easily situated to the restaurant and on our visit, food was great and ingredients freshly prepared only issue was lack of drinks.....
Very good sate, and nasi goring. Small store inside with food items. Not been disappointed every time we make it here while in California.
Food was good. Service was very slow took them over an hour to bring out our meal
Very authentic. Great Indonesian food. Highly recommended.
I have been to this restaurant a few times, from the time that they only had a 1-page menu. When I visited this place last month, they have expanded the menu, and it took me a while to decide because a lot of things sounded delicious. Its authentic Indonesian food, very close to the taste of the food in Indonesia. I usually order Rica Rica Noodle, but this time I tried Bakmie Abang, and I loved it. The portion is big and there are a lot of contents. I was very full when I left the store. Attached to its building, they opened grocery store that sells Indonesian snacks and some products. Its always a pleasure to visit this place.
The food is excellent! But the wait is long! Im an indo... I miss my parents cooking since theyve passed... But I always come here with my sister to taste the Indonesian food...I gave it a 3 star for the 45 min. Wait on food... And the place had just opened.
Just enough spice in my nasi goreng fried rice. Tried the chindol, its like a pandan drink. Not so sweet, just rightππΌ
Good selection of Indonesian food and products.
Best Indonesian restaurant in LA. Check out the minimart as well. One stop shop for your Indonesian food need.
Very Friendly owners/co workers. We knew we were running late and really wanted their Indonesian food before heading out of town. They accommodated our request as we arrived 10 month minutes after they had closed for the day! Very good service. Will visit again.
Love the food. Delicious. Classic Indonesian foods.
Let me tell ya, this place is actually one of the closest and best taste Iβve ever had near my house, I live in Highland and this is a perfect place not too far from my house to go to, since the pandemic they do not take order in the house they want you to call in and order and pick it up,(For take out) I am currently pregnant and I do crave Indonesian food that is convenient for me (order vs making them) when I called in I ask that I want two NASI PADANG and I actually ask if they could make it vegetarian because I knew from my previous visits here I could do that but the person on the phone said no canβt make it vegetarian, so I went along with it Iβm thinking I can just place the meat aside I was just craving bold flavor, and mind you she said 15mins, my travel time is 30min so Iβm assuming when I arrive the food will be ready for me to takeout, long story short, I had to wait another 15min and I have a habit of checking everything in the car before we go, when I checked Iβm like I donβt see no leaf packaging (which is what nasi padang usually place in) I see two boxes, so I went ahead and open it, well I just found rice and rendang beef Iβm like.. this is not what I order... I went back and told the cashier that they got my order wrong in the nice way and this rude lady came out from the kitchen and she was like βI talked to you on the phone, YOU DID ORDER THESEβ but Iβm like no I said I wanted nasi Padang, the thing I donβt like is she was so adamant that I WAS THE ONE IN THE WRONG, let me tell ya, I AM A VEGAN PREGNANT WOMAN, I KNEW WHAT I WANT AND I KNEW WHAT I PICK AND CHOOSE TO GO INSIDE MY BELLY IN THIS CRAZY CRAVING TIME SO DO NOT TELL ME I WAS WRONG.. I am sorry but even my hubby said I never said rendang I said Padang.. oh well not very happy about the attitude.. even though at the end of the day she told us to wait another 15min (ended up staying a bit longer than that) she fix the order and give me my nasi Padang but I already have these ill-feel about how she doesnβt have to do all that fuss.. I feel like service matters over food no matter how delicious your food, if your service suck I will give you a bad review cuz that is not a good experience to feel.. the cashier said sorry and sheβs not even the one that is wrong but I appreciate her apologizing! Like I said the food is amazing but the rude lady, someone just need to talk to her to calm it down..
Great food, tastes home cooked. Wait can be long but just means theyre cooking it fresh.
Great, authentic, and flavorful Javanese cuisine. My wife is Javanese and she is a big fan.
When I miss eat authentic Indonesian food, I came to this place. The foods are excellent. Friendly service and the price is reasonable! Please support this local restaurant during this difficult time.
One of the decent Indonesian restaurants. We dont mind to drive a bit further from home for a good food! Keep up the good work π
Amazing! Excellent service. My husband I first time eating Indonesian food and the young waitress helped us pick out dishes that ended up being perfect for us. When we were done eating we went to the grocery store that was connected and picked up a couple dessert items I cant wait to try! Food portions are great prices good. We will be back to try more things.
Friendly counter girl. Touched her mask to pull it up half a dozen times & adjusted her hair once too. Brewed fresh coffee when theyre was only a 1/2 sm cup left. Touched the inside of the lid of my cup and the whole outside of the paper on my straw that she put through the lid to the inside of the cup. Really just some minor best practices training though. She was trying to be clean, but didnt see too be thinking about how she was doing things. The menu looks great, so my husband will try it on out next visit.
I loved this place. They sell delicious Indonesian food. I am Indonesian. My favorite is Mie Goreng Jawa (Javanese fried noodle) and my husband love Nasi Bungkus Padang (Banana Leave Wrap Rice with Beef Rendang, Egg, Chicken and Cooked green or jack fruit in coconut milk). It is spicy but super delicious. My husban is Mexican but Nasi Bungkus is his favorite.
Food and services was great
Lovely food indeed! They also have a small Indonesian shop where you can find plenty selections of spices and snacks.
Ordered sate n mie goreng fried rice . All was cold. No good.
Very good Indo restaurant. Every time we come to California we always stop by this restaurant. No dine in but the outside store have a place where e I ou can sit. And next restaurant have Indo product.
I like Indonesian cuisine but this restaurant has no manners. I went to eat at Java Bistro and I was seated and the waiter didnt even offer us what we could drink or just plain ice cold water. I have been waiting for 15 mins and no one even bothered to serve u or at least ask if I need anything. I am hungry and thirsty. Please be considerate of your customers. You just lost a business from a potential loyal customer.
Love this place....since Im an Indo..... visiting here.... surprised my family with the food...can get pricey..... great food....π
Authentic Indonesian cuisine.
One of my preferred places for delicious Indonesian food. nothing to complain about. the staff was friendly and observant. it has an awesome feel to it. feeling here is similar to a place in columbus i liked.
Okay. Kinda cozy. Has a market attached to it. Food was not what I expected, but then again Ive never had Indonesian food. Okay place if its what you like.
Great, fresh food! This place has amazing Indonesian food. The lamb or pork satay is grilled fresh and the meat is tender. I have also tried the spicy chicken mushroom noodles, BOMB! Excellent little spot for lunch, good crowd. The owner was very nice and attentive.
Food is absolutely delicious and the grocery store has every little snack I could possibly want. So worth driving all the way from Yucaipa
My top scene for tasty indonesian food. The food was so savory. The staff was very helpful and observant. The prices are good for what you get.
Fine place for tasty Indonesian food. Food was super flavorful. Looking forward to a return visit. This place has an awesome feel to it. Food is similar to a cafe in Indianapolis I loved.
It was fantastic and delicious food
Indonesian food here - yummy. Excellent spot to spend time alone or talk business. Service is typically above par. Prices were good for how much you get.
Indonesian food... excellent. Food was so delicious. Certainly worth going back to. The bill was fair I would say. Feels like a place in Los Angeles I liked.
Went here during my lunch break. I had the number 26. Noodle with spicy ground chicken and season egg. I really liked the noodles and the chicken was good. Ive never had a seasoned boiled egg. It was tasty. First time having Indonesian good. Will visit again.Open seating.I was able to pay at the register.Minimum credit card is $25.
Fine spot for quality indonesian food. I give this place double thumbs up. I had a cousin come into town and asked me to take him back here. Prices were decent.
Awesome food!!
First time eating here and the food was delicious π I am glad I decided to try something new. The taste reminded me of Thai food but richer flavors. The service was good. I will definitely return to try different dishes ππΌ
A preferred place for delicious Indonesian food. I love this place always quality food & service. I look forward to going back again.
Indonesian food and the scene at this place is excellent. You wont be disappointed in the menu and service. Looking forward to coming back with my coworkers.
Slow and poor service, money hungry !!!! Ask for group service charge for party of 5, which was never heard of!! Not to mention their service was very poor, place was cramp and poor air conditioning.... never go back !!!!!!
Love Indo food. Not a lot of places close buy. Food is like home and we come all the time. Brought friends who never had Indo and they are hooked.
Food was great, but understaffed. Expect for delays in everything. Still worth it.
My favorite place for quality Indonesian food. Came here on a Saturday. The staff was very kind and attentive. It has a great atmosphere.
My new favorite Indo spot, authentic, clean, friendly, I live in the lbc and drive all the way here for the good food and service. (Walt you have to try this spot)
Nice place and good service
Many choices, good service, reasonable price.
Indonesian food... super yummy. Super appetizing. This place has a great design.
One of my fav spots for indonesian food. service is excellent even when they are busy. there was fast and courteous service. the bill was good for how much you get.
Taste gooood, reasonable price
Indonesian food, mmm, very delicious. Entered near ten, it was not crowded. The service here is great. Feels similar to a restaurant in Philadelphia that I enjoyed visiting.
Indonesian food and the atmosphere at this location is great. it has a nice interior. food is like a place in baltimore i liked.
Good place to have Indonesian Cuisine. Lunch, dinner or snack.Owner,Tony, is very welcome and always talk to guests.Food is consistently good quality.
A fav spot for tasty indonesian food. Everyone at our table was glad to be there. This place has a cool atmosphere.
The food is great but they seem to always have issues when paying with debit cards. Just take cash.
It has been a long time since Ive had great Indonesian food, great place, amazing food!
Indonesian food... my favorite treat. Great place to relax, people watch, eat good food or all the above.
Indonesian food, yeah, my preferred treat. Filled me up. Food is similar to a cafe in Portland I liked.
Great food, good portions.
The food maybe good, but after 2 hours it never came... a lunch for 4 was served one dish at a time over the span of two hours, with the 4th dish never arriving. We left very disappointed, especially since it was the birthday boy who had to leave hungry... ridiculously bad service.
Good food. The service a bit slow n it take along time for the food to come out.
Place has excellent food and overall experience, come here once a week
My best friend and his family are from Indonesia his parents just took me here for my birthday lunch I have to say is one of the best Indonesian restaurants Ive come across here in California. The place is always busy full of other Indonesians which is always good sign
Mie ayam jamur was fresh and tasty so does the durian shake and cendol.
Great place to try out Indonesian food. Theres different types of food and flavors on the menu, so if its your first time trying, ask what kind a flavor a certain dish has. (I really hate peanut sauce, so I avoid the salad.)To be on the safe side, Id recommend trying out one of the noodle dishes, like the Java noodles. Try the batagor too. For dessert, the es teler (shaved ice) is nice to finish your meal with. They also have a good selection of Indo snacks you can take home. The syrup they use for the soda gembira (Italian soda) and es telur (shaved ice) can be bought for you to make it at home. The wait to get your food to your table is long. I recommend ordering for pickup and eating out.
Food is good, but if you are a man youd better bring your electric shaver that may come handy after dining.
Too expensive, over price...fried rice #13, I paid almost $12.00. and its a small portion and half just vegetables (can get 2 orders in Chinese rest). And sorry, doesnt taste good. Thinking twice to come back.
Great Indonesisan and Chinese Indonesian foods. Reasonable price.
Great food n service. Nice atmosphere!
Great place to go for Indonesian food.
Food is really tasty. Best Indonesian restaurant so far.
It bring memories about my country Indonesia.
This place is great but dont get the Nasi Bungkus. The noodles and the soup however are really tasty. Also the wait may take a while.
Ok spot for Indonesian food. a preferred evening place. mood here reminds me of san diegos scene.
Everything is good, but sometimes the waiting time can be long during lunch time.
Great place, Fav Bakso.
The price is up and the food getting small portion. Less taste too.this restaurant used to better
Very accommodating towards people with Dietary restrictions and Vegetarians.
Great food! Good sized portions
Just to slow in service, but food just to good to pass it..

The Satay Babi, and Satay Ayam is bomb! The Nasi Goreng is delicious and the Kroket is delicious too. The Restaurant also has a little corner that sells seasoning and other various Indonesian items like Kopiko 3 in 1 packs. Friendly service and friendly cook came and spoke with us about the order and how it was made.
The bakso was really good. I order nasi padang. My kids love the satay. Ayam penyet too. Sambel terong nya .... nendang.
I will never going back there. ordered on the phone 30 mnts before. instead of having it readyonce i got there, they made it when I got there. I know for sure they gave my food to someone else that just came in to eat in.taste just ok, not that great. If you want indonesian food, go to city of industry and get them. forget this place!food are expensive. Each of the around $9-$13.
Best Indonesian food restaurant in Southern California
