First time customer! Wow! The service was friendly and fast! The order was correct and still hot when I got it home! Delicious sweet potato casserole. Just overall very impressed. We will absolutely be back.
Love this restaurant. We have been eating there for years. Always great. Best hot dogs 🌭around. If you want good onion rings, look no further. I never get Onion Rings anywhere else. Perfect every time. Friendly, fast, good mix of cuisine .
We‘ve been coming to Spice Diner for 14+ years and all and all this is a great restaurant! Best wings, and love the burgers and fries! Only reason why I gave it 4 stars is sometimes they can have staff in there that are young and haven’t quite got the whole hospitality thing down, but it doesn’t stop us from the Spice! Thankful to have them right in the heart of Five Forks!
My family and I wanted to give Spice Diner a try for the first time today. We seated ourselves inside the uncrowded restaurant just like the sign suggested. There was a bus boy cleaning the table near us. There were servers at the counter. The owner was at a table chatting with other customers. No one acknowledged our presence. I told my husband to give them 5 minutes to notice us. Then another couple walked in and seated themselves in our section. Suddenly the owner notices them, gives them menus and takes their drink order. He yells their drink order to the back and we are still sitting without anything. We left and that wasn’t even noticed. We will not give them another try. If we could give them a zero star, we would.
Oh my heavens!!! My son and I went to Spice for supper and it was fantastic! I had roast beef and gravy with mashed potatoes, green beans and macaroni and cheese, corn bread and tea. The food was hot, the portions were big and the staff was friendly. What more could you ask for?
Excellent burgers. Sweet potato casserole is THE BEST!! Great prices, great service, great portions. So much home cooked food for your money. Amazing milkshakes also!! My kids enjoy the grilled cheese.

I normally love Spice Diner,Ive been a customer here for years.I’ve never had a problem here,but I just left there and My order was messed up,food,sides,and drinks all messed up,this was supposed to be my daughter and my birthday dinner.I was also in there Saturday night and my chicken souvlaki had so much blackened seasoning on it I couldn’t even eat it,I threw it away.And tonight my chicken souvlaki had taziki on it(warm taziki does not sit well with my stomach)I ate it a huge mistake as my stomach is hurting so bad writing this review.Idk if they got new cooks or what is going on but they just lost me as a customer,and it’s a real shame that our waitress has been there for so many years and still can’t get it together.

My last time dining at this place! While eating, a waitress is sweeping the floor and cleaning right in front of my table. I said to the person I was with that I wish she would not sweep while we are eating. She heard my comment and went off on me! Told well let me go tell my boss that I can’t finish my job so I won’t get in trouble! She said it’s almost time for me to get off and this is my job! So rude !!! And LOUD!!! The staff here is very LOUD and yells all over the restaurant. Too bad, the owner being such a nice person has to tolerate such garbage filled employees! No more SPICE for me!!
Casual diner atmosphere with friendly staff and tasty, no-nonsense, comfort food in generous servings. Good value for your dollar. The manager came by to make sure we were happy--a good sign. We will go back.We had slaw dogs, a patty melt, fries and nice house-made onion rings. The small dinner salad was larger than expected, again, simple (basically tomato and lettuce) with a nice house-made dressing.

Just such low quality, greasy food. Yes its cheap and they have a full menu but the food was really not good. The tables were very sticky so we did the drive thru thinking that the food would be good based on ratings. Yikes we will never go back.
Food is always good, best fries anywhere, but our service this time was horrible. Server was downright rude, never came back to check on us, no drink refills.

We arrived at the peak of lunch time right after church on a Sunday and they were packed. Everyone was so pleasant the atmosphere was nice and they were quick to take our order. Food was great and just what we expected we will be back.

Great menu and great food. When I reward myself for doing a good job I go here and get a jumbo cheese burger and onion rings. Their hotdogs are great too. Fact is all their food is great.
Absolutely the best food in woodruff rd. Service was adequate at best. Friendly and delivered to the car extremely fast considering it was a 50$ order. Everything was freshly cooked and presented aesthetically pleasing. No sauce for the calabash chicken nor the wings,which was a huge disappointment as well as no utensils or napkins provided. A+ five stars for the taste and quality.... definitely be returning to the Spice Diner soon.

My husband ordered a chili cheese burger plate, I got the jumbo fish plate, my daughter got the buffalo wings. I specifically ask them to make sure there was coleslaw on my husbands plate box and there wasnt. I got coleslaw and my husband got some of mine. Right after I put a fork full of slaw in my mouth my husband says there was a hair in the slaw! Now I cant eat my food because I am digusted! I called and told the person that answered the phone and told her there was a hair in our coleslaw! In between wanting to throw my food up!

Lived here for nine years before I tried spice diner. The name through me off. It’s actually really good down home country cooking. I’ve probably eaten here 10 times just before covid, and ordered out several times during. now that I know about it, it’s a go to. This is like eating at grandma’s on a Sunday afternoon - tasty and heavy. Prices are what I’d expect. I’ve called in a few orders and they have it ready to go in ten minutes.
A really great night and an exceptional meal every time. The waitresses are almost like family and take real good care of us when we go.
Had lunch with my grandson and his two kids. The food was great. This is the third time we have been to Spice Diner and every time the food was good and the waitress was really nice.
The place was a bit rundown, dirty, and oddly humid. And the food was just okay. The plus side is there was a lot of food for pretty cheap.

This was our second visit in 2 years. The reason we didnt go back for so long was because we had a server that just had a very poor attitude, it was like we were interupting her day. Not very attentive and it wasnt busy. But the food was good that we ordered was good (mostly burger and hotdog type food) Fast forward 2 years to today and same exact thing except this time, the same server same attitude and this time burger and hotdogs and fries were good, but everything else seemed very out of the can and not much flavor. There server was nice to us when we paid the check and were leaving. (Note, my wife and myself asworked as servers for many years, out two oldest work in restaurant business and all of agreed that the food and the service was not what we expected at all. ) I guess we will hit up the drive-thru next time if we make it here again for burgers and hotdogs and fries.) Sorry for the negative review, but they really need to work on the customer service and flavor for things other than burgers and hotdogs and fries.The burgers and fries and hotdogs are really good though.

Nice clean restaurant. Just what mom and I needed. Not too noisey with great southern cooking. Wow to the variety and our waitress Belinda was definitely an asset. Very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about all the dishes. Steered us in the right direction. Food was hot and scrumptious. Even took a carry out to hubby-he loved every bit. Good home cooking with vegetables, desserts, sandwiches, gyros, salads, etc. Kids meals too. Daily soup n dinner specials. Has drive through. Run by Greek family. Owner makes sure every diner is taken care of!

Food was good and service was awesome. Sweet tea was on point. Inhad the Salisbury steak and gravy. It was a bit tough to chew, and they had carrots in the gravy?!? Not too sure about that. Anyway its a good experience and a good place to eat.

I have gone here off and on for 10+ years and it always had good home cooked food. Over the past 2-3 years it seems things have changed a little bit. Portion sizes seem a bit smaller; was usually VERY large portions but now they seem on par with most other places. Prices are still reasonable and wait staff was fair. Overall still a good place to eat!
Great food. They have been a main stay in the five forks area for years! The ribeye steak sandwich and the gyro are our favorites.

Food was good and hot when it came to the table and the order was accurate. Something for everyone on the menu, including kids. Reasonably priced as well. I would say it is above average for the typical meat and three.

Gosh George I hate writing this but is it me only or does anyone else have a problem with the drive thru. They Never get my order right. So now after I get my order I have to go thru and check it. Tonight they missed the cole slaw. If I didnt love you and your food I wouldnt be back. So to avoid frustration CHECK your order before you leave...we dont mind waiting.

Always enjoy the food. The restaurant is always clean and inviting. The food is hot as well as fresh and the staff do a good job. The Cheeseburger is my favorite and sometimes it is on special so always check the menu board. Have visited this location many times and always the best service.
Ordered hot dog plate and hamburger. Hot dog bun was so hard could not eat.Hamburger bun was not fresh either. Lettuce was old and brown. Called and complained and all the guy said who btw claimed he was a manager well all he said is Im sorry. Ask to speak to owner he said that he was not there. I had to call 3 times befire I got an answer. Food was disgusting. I threw it outside to the animals. Dont waste your money by going there. Food is gross. I give that place an F.
Tried today for first time after seeing reviews and was disappointed. It’s been a while since I walked in a place and immediately felt like I didn’t belong. No one spoke just looked at use even workers. Waitress did her job if that no talking other than y’all ready seriously! I had smothered chicken sandwich and husband flounder and it all looked great just no taste at all. The best thing was the tea. If the food was as great as these other reviews stated I could do the lack of friendliness but considering it’s not wont be back.

Was disappointed. The fried okra straight out of a bag, frozen, same for the chicken tenders. Too much breading to suit me. Mac and cheese was pretty tasteless only saving grace I guess was the Greek salad but the dressing was weird. well Happy Birthday to me

I like that their menu has more options than your typical clock or petes restaurants but its still your basic hamburger and fries type of place but they offer table service so its a viable place to choose if you want to sit down with your family for a quick bite but dont necessarily want fast food. It was pretty busy but the service was still good.
Second time I’ve been to this place. First time my bf and I noticed that I was the only person of color in the restaurant and our waitress definitely treated us differently than the rest of the customers. We didn’t think much of it, food was okay. Nothing special. Decided to give it another shot because we were both hungry and didn’t want to wait at other restaurants. Again noticed that I was the only person of color in the restaurant. We got a different waitress our second time around, but again she was short with us. She came by took our drink order and asked us if we were ready, let her know we needed a few mins and she left rather annoyed. After a few mins she came back to take our order and a different person brought it out for us. After that she didn’t stop by at all. Not even to make sure our order was right or if we needed anything else. We see her helping other groups of people and being very friendly to them but hasn’t even glanced over at our table. I’m not sure if this is just their regular service or if it is due to the fact that I’m a person of color. Regardless if this is how they treat all their customers equally I honestly don’t understand how these customers keep coming back. If you want good food and good customer service do not come here. Whoever is running this pace needs to seriously re-evaluate their business. The ceiling tiles are stained, air vents are dirty from all the dust that’s in the place, the window sills are grimy and dusty. If I could give this place 0 stars I totally could. I’ve managed million dollar restaurants before and whenever a guest/customer gave us feedback good or bad I applied it to better my business. I hope the owner or manager reads this review and takes a close look at the reputation they are building.
