SO FAR I AM ENJOYING MY NEW SINGER SEWING MACHINE! THE ONLY PROBLEM I HAD WAS THAT I WAS TRYING TO USE MY OLD BOBINS THAT WERE METAL AND MY MACHINE WOULDNT WORK WITH THEM!I AM ENJOYING IT NOW AND HAVE SEWN A COUPLE OF OUTFITS,ITS RUNNING GREAT!

My wife brought in a older singer sewing machine for repair. The repair man, Loren, was so knowable and kind, he generally wants to teach people about the machines and how to maintain them. My Mother in law is planning on visiting him for her old machine, but his wife, Paula was quite rude. When we went to picked up our machine, my wife wanted to pick up a few sewing thingys. As Loren was explaining what he did, Paula ask me to pay right then cuz “I’m busy with customers”. That kind of put a stop to my wife spending more money there. The expertise was terrific. My machine was fixed in a few days and works quite nicely. Very good experience working with Tri-State.The only concern was there was no mask wearing which made me very uncomfortable.

I brought my machine in and in just a few days it was finished. I was impressed when the gentleman told me he would not only look at one problem I mentioned but he would check everything and oil it too. It works great!! Old machine acts like new!

She also gave me advise as to what she has found to be the best piecing quilting thread which I did appreciate. When I picked up my machine Loren was there. He helped me out with his advise as to what machine I might be trading my current machine in for. Paula does such beautiful quilting work. I generally take care of all my oiling and basic machine maintenance. But after I did what I could and it continued to make the same awful sound and the hand wheel didnt turn as easily as it had, I called Tri-State Sew & Vac. Several of my friends have bought machines there and recommended them. I was able to get in the next day and had my machine back in several more. Their service was wonderful. No more clackity clacking and smoother sewing than I ever remember. I now too recommend this business!

In the midst of mask-making, my old machine gave up. Rather than trying to get it repaired, I opted to purchase a new machine here, largely because it was the only one to be had during the shortage. I am, however, very pleased with it and the kind service I received when visiting the store. I also needed to order some accessories, which I did by phone, and they were promptly at my doorstep. Went in with a 14-year old Simplicity canister vacuum, which I believe I bought at this place. I had taken off the cover and asked the owner to test the motor. No, he wouldnt do it because he didnt work on canisters. A repair shop that doesnt work on canisters, even though they sell them. When asked about this, the wife said we only service what we sell. They claim to service all makes but turns out they should say they might do some service on some makes if they want to, if they feel like it.

I have only ever sewn before in middle school home ec. and at my parents embroidery business so I was brand new to sewing. Paula was very knowledgable and informative on the different machines that they sold and tried hard to find one that met my goals. I have had three lessons so far from her and I feel much more confident in my abilities every time I leave. Both Loren and Paula obviously love what they do and want to make sure people understand how to sew and how to use their machines. Im enjoying my lessons, my machine, and my new hobby!

-4. BEWARE. Brought a mechanical machine here for a bobbin winder problem. Proprietor thought he ordered the part but actually didnt. Part did not arrive for over three weeks. Due to ordering snafu. When it did arrive he couldnt fix the machine because the part did not look exactly like the original. he was unable to realize he had the right part. He also failed to put my machine back into the condition that I gave it to him in. Charged me $69 for a cleaning of a broken machine. I took it somewhere else and ordered my own part which was identical to his and that sewing center was able to fix it in one day. They looked at the part and immediately said yes you have the right part. The replacement part doesnt look like the original but it is the same diameter and will fit. I personally wouldnt ask them to fix anything that you didnt buy there. Not very versed in different sewing machine models. They are also not very good at making telephone calls and calling you back. Second sewing center said lots of people do this to get you to buy a new machine from them.

My mother and I take all our sewing machines to Loren at Tri State to be serviced or repaired. Our machines are too complex to trust them to to anyone but an expert. They are very trustworthy and fair. Paula was so knowlegable and helpful when I dropped it off. I highly recommend Tri-State for purchasing sewing machines or vacuums.

Very rude will not return calls and act like you you not worth talking to. Would not recommend to my worst enemy.

I have had super service at Tri-State. They serviced my machine in one day when I had come to town unexpectedly (I live 10 hours away from this store where I purchased the machine years ago - there is no dealer where I now live). Also, have recently had them mail me a part to repair trouble he diagnosed over the phone. They were quick to reply to my inquiry and to get the part in the mail.

I saw their web site when I was looking for a pfaff machine they were very helpful not pushy at all they had just what I wanted and at a very fair price. Will diffantley return to their store. Oh by the way I bought a machine from them. Thanks again.
