Upon entering it was clear that this was not a boutique of Afro-centric curiousities.They were the real deal. African Market appears to serve as a Sioux Falls small retail grocer of staples required for cooking ethnic-Ethopian and greater African cuisines. Spices and sundries are purchased bulk then weighted and sold in zip-lok bagged labeled with a Sharpie in two languages. The shopkeeper, Gafat, is a generous and gracious man who expertely explains his products with the pride.
