Not a great experience. Dropped off vehicle for a windshield replacement when they opened around 8:00. Received a call from Will at 4:50 saying our car was ready. Told him we live about 10-15 minutes away depending on traffic so it will likely be after 5:00 when I get there and he said thatd be fine. Got there at 5:03 and the building was locked and completely empty. Called the number back and the office number back and nobody answered. Ended up calling their corporate number and they said theyll have their manager reach out that night (they didnt). I understand they close at 5:00 but considering I received a call 10 minutes before close and told them I would get there just after 5:00, this is unacceptable.

Only reason i used this company was because of Geico booking them to repair my windshield. Never heard from tech the entire day, was told they would be here from 1 to 2, that didnt happen. I had to call back a few times to get some answers as to when they will arrive, they then said 5 pm, wasted all afternoon and then they didnt even show up till after 6 pm. Beyond annoyed with their scheduling and lack of communication. Wasted my day and annoyed, definitely will go to a better company that respects their customers time.

PRICING IS SUSPECT! Price on website: $179.99 plus tax. Quoted $297.24 by location. When provided breakdown, total was $221.99. Then found another $15.00 making total $236.99. Told I would still have to pay $297.24 but could not explain why it was $60.00 higher than the breakdown. When asked why the website price was much lower, was told that was Corporate. I did not use this company; I found another vendor at a lower price.

So far, Ive had 2 glass chip repairs, insurance claims. Both taken care of by Safelite. Fast and professional work each time thus far. Appreciate the work theyve done. Thanks guys!

I prepaid for a windshield. I received three emails telling me I’m on the books for an appointment for home service and an email telling me the work was complete, but in reality, nobody showed up to replace the windshield and i still dont have a windshield. I called them repeatedly and after 5 pm and they finally answered and said due to a mix up they couldn’t get to me on Thursday. I asked if they would be out the next day, he said its not up to him, he’s only an installer. Friday, May 21 I called and got the Sioux Falls store manager who said they cant get me on their schedule for Friday. I told them i will be going somewhere else and refund my money, he said it will be 3-4 days to refund me. I am now going to have to spend more time going elsewhere and i have to wait for my money to be returned before i can get a new windshield. This is not the service I had from Safelite in the past and i will not be returning since Safelite’s mistake is costing me hours of time and money, not to add the frustration and vagueness of service issues. So disappointed in a company i used to use and recommend

Got my windshield replaced at 1pm at the Sioux Falls location. Service took an hour and a half. Got my car back at 2:30pm and there was no tape on the windshield (odd, but maybe they do it differently than other shops). Started driving home and I could hear wind. Less than an hour after leaving the shop a small pebble nicked the windshield and broke it. Ive had rocks hit my glass many times and only ever had breaks from the large ones that are loud when they hit.After arriving home, I inspected the crack and noticed that the windshield wasnt even installed correctly (hence the wind sounds).Safelite said they can take a look at the placement, but wont do anything about the crack.Im very upset that their windshields are of such low quality that the slightest road debris will cause damage and they dont even last a couple hours.

I have nothing to complain about. They got the job done. No frills. No whistles. I had a fairly large large and deep chip in my windshield that was on the edge of being to big to repair. The waiting room has a Keurig machine and a TV. The staff was friendly.

I got a chip in my windshield and thought since I travel for work, I’d go with a national company so if I have any trouble, I could get assistance whenever I’m at. I grew up on a farm and have had several chips repaired, none as badly as this one. I made an appointment to fix it two days later. It was a straight chip, with no runs. Should’ve been an easy fix. But when the gentleman was done, it didn’t even look like he touched it. When I questioned him about it, I got the speech of how it “still leaves a mark”. This chip didn’t even look like it was fixed, but I trusted him. The next day I noticed that it was starting to spread! I was not happy. I called the company and they asked me to come down so they could look at it. Apparently there was nothing they could do and that they were sorry. They said I could get my money back from the chip repair if I bought a new windshield from them. I said I wanted it right then as they didn’t even fix it and they said they couldn’t do that. I politely commented that I felt this was a scam. They pretend to fix the windshield but really don’t, so they get customers to buy a more expensive windshield. I honestly feel I was scammed and I would not recommend this business.

I would not use this company. They replaced our windshield and in the process took our parking pass. I called within 15 minutes of the tech leaving and they said they would bring it by. That never happened. When I called the next day the lady on the phone was extremely rude and said they would mail it to me. I still have not gotten it. But that is not the worse part when My wife got in the car there was tons of broken glass all over the front of the car and she cut her hand. There care level was not that high when we told them about it.. we vacuumed it up ourselves. We will try somebody else next time.

Had an appointment 2 weeks ago for simple windshield replacement; staff was all super friendly during appointment where i found I needed some clips that were damaged in a previous replacement. They actually went out and retrieved them for me from the volvo dealership a couple days later and said to come in any time and get the repair completed. Would definitely return here if necessary (but hopefully no more broken windshields for me!)

The field techs are great the folks in customer service are terrible. After the wrong glass being ordered for the tech. Which was understandable, its a brand new vehicle. I called 3 times to make sure. Every time I called they would say they added the right notes so the right glass would be ordered. Each time I called the person I spoke with would say There are no notes and they would add them. Tech show up with the wrong glass again with no notes. If you want the right glass ordered or anything else you have to call the shop in the city you are in. If you the 800 number, good luck. You give them the info but evidently they just say yes too you and draw stick figures. Nothing will be ordered correctly and relayed to the guys in the field. The field guys are who make this company. Customer Service folks just milk it. SMH

I like the company, but was disappointed with the building. Poor parking, small waiting area, stained carpets and had a very musty smell. The technicians work area was also small, water everywhere and no ventilation for them on a hot day. Felt the unprofessional aspects of this particular shop made me think less of the company. However on a more positive note, workers were friendly and knowledgeable. They just need a better work environment.

My experience with this Safelite location was terrible. I showed up on the day of my appointment, and the front door was locked even though it was 20 minutes past the opening time. After awkwardly walking around through the garage, I was informed that they have to order the part from the dealer and that they did not order it. I received no phone call or email to tell me this ahead of time. On top of that, I was informed that the price would be a lot larger than the quoted price I was given online. When I asked what it would cost, they did not know. They hadn’t even taken the time to call and get an accurate price quote for me. I wasted an hour of my morning and an hour of my driver’s morning. The employees were not apologetic. These people obviously don’t care about their customers. Not to mention the place is dirty and rundown.

I was got a chip in the windshield of my new car last week. Safe lite was able to send me a tech within hours of the incident, directly to my place of business! Darold met me with a friendly smile and handshake. He thoroughly explained what he would be doing, as well as warranties, policy, etc. He did a wonderful job, and although explained that the fix is not cosmetic but structural, he did a beautiful job making it as invisible as possible! Darold was very professional and comforting, as I was a little wound up at the time! I will definitely not only use Safelite if needed in the future, but will likely be requesting Darold’s assistance! Thank you!!

Cost to replace a windshield is competitive, but asked to repair new chip in windshield and was quoted $130 plus materials.... Called another place that is much closer to us and was told $40, so make sure to check around at a few places prior to scheduling!

This place is an absolute joke. We were scheduled to have our windshield replaced on Friday 5/31 between 12 pm and 5pm. My fiance and I both left work early so we would be home. Our technician called us at 4:30 to tell us he wouldnt be able to come. So we set it up so they could come to my work Monday afternoon. The technician actually came that time, but they didnt have the right windshield. I was told I would be contacted Tuesday to set up another appointment.By Wednesday, June 5, I still hadnt heard anything, so I called and left a message. I then received a call confirming an appointment that was never made. We finally had an appointment scheduled for Friday, June 7 between 12pm and 5pm . The technician called that morning to tell me he would be at my home around 1 or 2. He then called me at 2:05 to tell me he would have to move me to 3:30. At this point I was frustrated with all the hoops and insisted he come before then. The technician used a snippy tone and said he would be to my house by 2:30. He arrived at 2:50 and did the windshield replacement. After he was done, an hour or so later, he left without saying anything or giving instructions about the tape or when I could wash my car.Finally, I had my car to run the errands I waited all day for. I get in my car and notice right away the fixture around my rear view mirror was loose and had not been put on properly. There was also a loud airleak that was audible at 30 mph. So, once again we contacted the office to inform them of this. We were told to bring the car to the garage today on Wed. June 12 at 8 am.My fiance took the morning off work and arrived on time. He sat there until 10:15 watching customers who had arrived later than him come and go with no updates or acknowledgment of the time it was taking. He stated he felt like he was being avoided at all costs.After a week and a half of jumping through hoops and being jerked around, our windshield has finally been replaced. If this service hadnt been covered by an extended warranty we would have found service elsewhere the first time they called and canceled. Save yourself some time and frustration by picking a locally owned shop here in Sioux Falls before wasting your time with this place.

I have been dealing with them this whole past month of april they have done a warranty appointment with me 3 times...and each time have broken numerous things on my car and returned my car to me more dirty, when it was originally clean and it gets worse and worse each time. Now Im currently waiting for the manager to contect me so I can get a full refund and take my car elsewhere to fix damages strongly would recommend going elsewhere.

Great service! Had new windshield installed couple weeks ago. Ended up with 3 inches of water on my passenger side floor after the rains last night. Was not happy so decided to drive over to shop, as that was the only work done to the car. I lucked out and the same tech that installed it was at the door when I walked up. He got me right in and after determining that the windshield was not the problem he and another guy took the extra 10minutes to find the issue. A sunroof drainage tube. I only wish I had gotten their names. But a BIG thank you to them and the team at Safelite.

No parking, No rides. I was told an hour over the phone but 3 hours when I showed up. Then I was told my new windshield was broke after my ride was already on its way and waiting over half a hour. Would not recommend.

I drove back to Sioux Falls from Washington state for Christmas. Had this shop repair a small rock chip. 5 days later on the drive back to WA state that small rock chip that was repaired, splintered in two different directions across the windshield. When I got back to WA state and called the Safelite here in town to warranty theyre work. I found out that theyre warranty means that they will refund the money of the repair. But not stand behind theyre workmanship of the repair. Now instead of a $60 repair I have to replace the windshield $300.I DO NOT recommend this shop or company for any work you need.

Didnt even go to the appointment ended up canceling because after calling inquiring on how long it would take for them to fix the window and they informed me that they could only give me a possible time frame. I was extremely frustrated that the best they could do was if I brought my vehicle in by 11 they could possibly have it done by the close of business. They said they were very busy and only one person was there. Im a single person with only one vehicle what am I supposed to do sit there for 6 hours and hopefully get my vehicle its unacceptable. I end up cancelling my appointment and calling a local auto body shop who got me in immediately and said they would work on my vehicle immediately and have me out in an hour that is how you take care of your customers not a six-hour window and a possibility of getting my car. Also its really unfortunate that when you call you get a call center and they call the auto body shop for you you cant even call your local shop its just bad customer service and I dont appreciate it I want to talk to a person in the store. I wont be doing business with Safelite from now on.

I would never go through them again. They made me sign a document basically saying if my window cracked it wouldnt be their fault (didnt have that happen with any other place). It took the guy 2 hours to finish 2 chips making me late for my next appointment. I also had to leave work to unlock my car for him even when he came to me to get it done. When he was done, there were cracks coming off of both fixed chips and they dont even look like they tried to fix them.
