If I lived in Souix Falls, this would be my store! It simply has the charms of a neighborhood grocery store. It has quality food at a reasonable price. I absolutely love the fruit and meat department. The cashier remembered my sister and I from a few days before which made us feel at home!You got my vote!

Love this place!! I find some super good deals not found anywhere else. I take clients with disabilities and they welcome them and know them by name. Reminds me of small town grocery stores. It might be in a not so good part of town but it really has a small town feel.

Nice, well stocked store, not overly crowded on Tuesday around 4 p.m. Good produce and baked goods selection. Best Choice brand for better prices. People living close to downtown are fortunate to have it available.

I love Sunshine! They have great prices and pretty good variety. Sunshine is also locally owned and Id rather spend my money there as opposed to the big box stores. The Staff is great. The hours are great. Sunshine is great!

Rotted produce n veggies...lots. quite a few meats past expiration. The things above are normal day after day. Sunshine has NO complaint forms. All your complaints never leave the building.. go figure. Location is the only reason they get away selling such foods and way higher than average prices. Lots of low income in area. Nothing stand up about this particular Sunshine.

Was a little sad to see how one of my favorite shopping places back in the late 90s had turned out. It was kind if sad and dingey and the guy at the cash register had no personality at all. He bordered on rude. The selections were all there but the experience was just sad.

I had run out of overripe bananas with which to make cakes for Christmas gifts. I called a hometown grocer, but they didnt have any. I knew it would do me no good to call the warehouse or big discount stores. I thought, Who else is a old-fashioned hometown grocer and Sunshine came to mind.I called and asked if they had any overripe bananas they would sell me. He said they had a pound or two and said they would put them in a box for me at the service desk. Yes! Mission accomplished! And, I get to look at their meat!Ordinarily I dont get to shop this store because I live on the W side of the city, but I was close that day. I bought their meat before, and, if they were closer, I would buy more.I put my box of bananas in my cart, found another overripe batch with the other bananas, and I grabbed them, too. I bought some pretty sweet potatoes and made my way to the meat.They had good prices on several cuts. I bought chicken thighs and split breasts and a pretty roast I plan to cut into stew meat.I enjoyed my trip through the aisles. I hope it wont be long before I get to go back.

The store is very clean, organized and friendly attendants. There is quite a selection of veggys, frozen items, and chicken and meats. The fruits and meats are a great value compared to other stores. Also a great variety of daily products like soaps, and cleaning supplies.

They always have what I need! I like their deals on meat. The cashier today wasnt real friendly and didnt even greet me when he started to ring up my things. Maybe a bad day for him! I will still continue to shop there though..

This morning I had thee most awesome experience when I went to get a few very much needed items that I really didnt think would make my budget! I took my time looking up prices trying to add everything up careful not to overspend. I got to the check out and as the checker rang up my items, I was happy to know I had only went over a couple of dollars and went to pay for my groceries when a kind person stepped up and offered to pay for them! I humbly thanked her as I cried my way out to my car. There are truly angels among us and I hope I was not the only one to experience this, this morning! Thank you to whoever you are!!!

Overall an okay place to shop when you’re in a pinch, but otherwise wouldn’t recommend. Check expiration dates before you purchase anything! In the past 3 months, I’ve bought four different things only to discover once I got home they were expired (and not just by a few days - today I noticed the pizza I purchased this afternoon expired 4 months ago...)

Always my favorite grocery store! The staff couldnt be more helpful and friendly, they stock everything a person could need, and the best part is the deli. I was fortunate enough to live where the first fried chicken operation started for this Sunshine store when the owner ran a small Clover Farm Groceries in Hills, MN. He started frying chicken in the back, and oh my god, the smell was too mouth watering to stand! You HAD to go buy a thigh or leg and devour. That is the same today at this Sunshine store. Their homemade salads are right out of my grandmas kitchen. I shop here always, its the greatest!

Sunshine has the best price on meat anywhere in town. I have never been disappointed. With their app, you can always find great coupons.

Id say the only well stocked store left in town!! They had everything I needed & more. Cashier & stocker were friendly. Noticed cashier was wearing gloves. The prices were a bit higher than Im used to on most items compared to shopping at Walmart, but I was just grateful to be able to get what I needed!! Im definitely willing to pay more for in stock merchandise. I liked the fact they were limiting families to one package of toilet paper each. Store seemed clean & felt well maintained.

Sunshine foods is a great local business. There used to be a lot more around sioux falls, but they are down to one, sadly. They have a really good butcher section and the meats are pretty fresh, and decently priced. Some of the staff has been the same for a long time, and they are very helpful. I have shopped here for years, and will continue to do so as long as they are open. Before COVID they also had a mechanical horse for children to ride, and son loved it! It was even free for them. They do a good job keeping carts clean, wearing masks, and have sanitizer stations for customers. I highly recommend grocery shopping here.

Our family enjoys what is apparently the only remaining location in Sioux Falls. The employees here are excellent. This location can attract a rough crowd but Sunshine ensures that shoppers are a priority. Ive seen on numerous occasions, the employees go above and beyond here. From administering First aid to a fallen patron to making sure our son was okay when the latch on the water machine fell and cut his face. It goes to show you that our businesses are very much a part of our communities. Thank you guys for everything. Tootsie rolls after dinner included!

Cheapest and freshest meat in town. Also the buffet is amazing, so tasty.

This store is small and easily navigated. For a small store it has unbelievable deals on meats and so much more. All staff are super friendly and willing to help with anything at anytime. Its that down-home feel of a small town that keeps me coming back here!

This is where I go for all my meat needs! The price is so much better than the big local chain in town. You can look at the great deals in the paper or online, but the best ones go unadvertised! Some do say that the prices in the aisles are higher and for some products that may be the case. You will more than make up for it after shopping their meat department. Its central in town and there are always interesting people there to chat with.

Good place for meat. Always check out the discount cold boxes in meat and in dairy. Dont plan on fruit or vegetables here, theyre expensive and not great. They do have great prices on weekly sale items, and a friendly staff.

Conveniently located in downtown Sioux Falls, SD. Great selection of products, competitive prices and friendly service staff. The freshly roasted in the shell peanuts are the best Ive had. So fresh, like they just came from the farm. And, the in store baked goods are better than most, especially the apple fritters.

Its localy owned so its hard not to support this place. Its in a convenient downtown location and has pretty much all the grocery items u may be looking for. The prices are a bit on the high side compared to the competition but if you keep your eyes open you will always find some great deals to make your stop worth the visit!

Good selection for the size of the store, and great specials (especially on meat)...regular prices can be a little crazy for some items. Very convenient location on the edge of downtown. We live a few blocks away and swing by for whatever we might need to finish off a meal. The service is usually very good - checkers are all friendly. Id say produce there is a little weak, meat department is very good, dairy is good, and grocery selection is good. Prices are just a little high.

Close to home. Smaller store so you can get in and out faster if you need to. This is also somewhat of a problem. Smaller means not as many options and prices can be higher. Dont let that scare you. Some of the items are cheeper than HyVee or the same price. The store brand Best Choice is quality. Get the app! Every week there is a free or very cheap item(or more) and coupons. Good meat. Friendly staff that cares more.

Sunshine has a decent selection of groceries and their staff for the most part is very friendly and helpful. There isnt much variety when it comes to household goods and kitchen utensils but there are some options, most of which are a generic brand that isnt very good. I have a good experience every time I go in even though I cant always find what I want. Its the only grocery store downtown or near downtown Sioux Falls so there isnt any other option.

I love Sunshine. I prefer their meat department over all the other grocery stores and their staff is always kind and helpful. Some have been there for years and always have a smile and hello for you. I dislike going to Wal-Mart so being able to find good buys close to home is a definite bonus.

If you want real food...great meats...low prices..ready to eat food that will remind you of home and always fresh and delicious..low prices and choice of portion size...the best fried chicken....(yes, Sioux Falls, the wonderful smell of food in the air on Thursdays comes from here, just follow your nose)...the best ribs and spaghetti and lasagna and salads..the nicest staff..a warm atmosphere..a store where you do not have to walk around for hours trying to find essentials..its simply all there at Sunshine Foods.

I needed to get around 500 bottles of water for a company picnic, and Brian was nice enough to package everything up ahead of time so I could just swing over, pay and pick it up. They even put it on a cart to get to my car easily. Would recommend this store if you are missing the small-town feel while in our not-so-small-city.

Awesome customer service. I had picked up a half drank soda got it home before I realized it and they let me return it no questions asked. Staff was friendly, great bakery..... Loved the donuts!
