Nice community grocery plus store. Clean and well lit, pleasant staff. Good selection of groceries, quickie food and household necessities. Precut fresh fruit packs are not recommended. Excellent hours~open til midnight every day.

This store has the best public education about covid avoidance of any in Sitka. The store should be complimented for trying to protect employees and the public.

What a great store

The location is extremely convenient. Its a 10 minute WALK from my house. Its a little on the pricey side, typical for Alaska groceries.

Limited selection of many items and very high prices, but it is Alaska.

Well I guess what gets me, is there sale items you think youre getting a good price but youre not. If it is your only saving pennies. I know pennies add up but this day in economy is pretty rough. I can go to the store down the street have the same items for dollars less. All in all the stores great.

Of the 3 groceries, this is the largest but not necessarily the best prices. They do carry many Asian & Mexican foods and lots of produce. Also lots of stuff. Salad bar but no place to eat. I would like the option of paper bags, a smile from the cashier, & better baked goods.

This place is convenient, some of the prices are higher than other places but it works.

I was shopping for produce while on vacation in Sitka and asked an employee what jackfruit was. He asked if I wanted him to cut me a piece. I said dont go to the trouble, but he insisted. Never had that kind of service in all my travels. Very friendly employees in store and I even had a favorite in the attached liquor store (lol), who on one of my many visits invited me to his birthday celebration! In Sitka, there is just a different caliber of people, who are as beautiful as the surrounding landscape, if thats even possible. Wish I could afford to live there!

Great store! All stores here seem to be very expensive you just need to watch for sales at all three and shop at them all! Staff is not very friendly at all.that is one area they need to work on asap!!

Okay to many foreign people who work there

Lakeside has the largest food selections in Sitka, though not always the best prices. My recommendation is the do a little produce shopping at the farmers market across the street in the summer before picking up all of your staples at Lakeside. Still, they have a well stocked Asian section and as far as I know, the only place in town the sells kombucha.

One of only three grocery stores in Sitka. Better (slightly cheaper and with a far superior selection) than one but not quite as good (a little more expensive) as the other. Good location with a pretty good liquor store next door.

I live near here so I tend to shop here a lot just because of that. Otherwise, I would only use it as a last resort. For the most part the staff is unfriendly and not helpful. There are a few that clearly know what customer service is all about but the bad outnumber the good in this case. Its unfortunate, really.
