Great facility. They took in our Audi and were quickly able to diagnose an issue with an oil level sensor. As a busy individual myself I really appreciate the app based tool that kept me informed of progress and ability to approve repairs real time. Wonderful experience and we have our VW there now.

BMW dealership wanted $700 to do what North Pointe did for about $250. Professional, quick, personable and honest. And a real passion for the cars. They refused to try to up-sell me on items that the dealer was pushing on me. Integrity matters.. Cant beat that. They just made me a customer for life.

I have found it to be challenging to find good mechanics. I was excited to find North Pointe Motors to work on my Mercedes C300. The shop is clean and everyone I interacted with was helpful. The tech they deploy is pretty cool as well. I received text messages with pictures and details for proposed repairs. Using the application I was able to accept the repairs and associated costs and communicate with the tech. OEM or better parts...check! Fair pricing...check! Excellent customer service...check! I will happily do business with them in the future.

NP Motors completed a prepurchase inspection for me on a vehicle near their shop before I made the drive to purchase it. Their comprehensive review of the engine, trans, braking sys, electrical, and other systems helped to give me confidence I was purchasing a good example of my vehicle. They provided a checklist of what was performed, along with photos of any cosmetic findings. Upon my own inspection I noticed some additional odds and ends (an electrical component fastener was missing a screw, some mouse droppings located in the engine bay, and a trim piece of the vehicle showing wear wasn’t mentioned), but apart from some small findings their review was very helpful! If I purchase another vehicle nearby, I would use them again!

Tim has done work for me on several of my cars. Today I brought my car in because I thought I might need to change brake pads. Some places will just automatically say sure you need new everything, but Tim explained that my brakes were just a bit rusty bc we havent been driving as much during the pandemic. I worked with Adam on a pre-purchase inspection for a car I was considering buying. Im not from the area, so I needed someone to look at the car before flying in to purchase it. Adam did a very thorough inspection, had a great report and detailed pictures of any issues noted. All at a very reasonable price. He was very responsive when I called initially to setup the inspection, and was able to coordinate with the seller directly to perform the inspection. After sending me the inspection report he called to see if I had any further questions. Amazing service all the way around.

After years of being bled dry by Audi dealerships, I was lucky enough to come across North Pointe. They did a great job keeping my temperamental and high maintenance A8 on the road for a few extra years without breaking the bank. Their repairs were reasonable, and they always did a great job explaining the issues to me, and presenting money saving alternatives when it was possible. Repairs were completed on time, and all of the staff we interacted with were courteous and friendly. This is a great shop, would recommend highly to anyone.

They did a great job on my E55.I went their multiple times for multiple things. Their prices are very reasonable, they know what they are doing. They work on German cars for half the price a dealer would charge. If you own BMW, Mercedes, Audi.. etc This is the place.

I have extreme trust issues with mechanics ever since I had a terrible experience with one when I was in college. I was a naive kid and I was seriously taken advantage of. So now I choose my mechanics very carefully. When I was moving to Chicago a few years ago, I had a job that could not be finished at my usual place before the move. So, I researched mechanics for a few days and decided to go to North Pointe Motors. I brought my car in when I arrived in Chicago and it has worked extremely well for me so far. They do a great job, there are never issues with the work or the parts, it takes about as long as they say, they are priced very reasonably, and most importantly for me, they are honest. There are never ten things that need to be replaced at a cost of $5000 when I stop by for an oil change. When I ask them to look around, they once told me that the brake pads needed replacing but there was a light in the dashboard that would come on when I needed to do it. I really enjoy the peace of mind that comes from knowing that I am being taken care of, and that I dont have to suspiciously google everything they tell me. Overall, I really like them and I will take my car to them as long as I live within driving distance.

As fair and nice of a group of people you will ever find. The tech at my old shop that specialized in Audis left and I was in search of a new mechanic. A friend told me about North Pointe. I called after my S6s brake light came on. Sara got me in right away. Tim looked at the car and showed me that all I needed was front pads. He said no need to replace the rotors. Nick did the work. What do you know? One week later the brake light came on on my other Audi. Same deal as the first car. This time Adam did the work. Not needing rotors saved me a bunch. North Pointe is a rare find in todays repair world.If you find yourself in a position where the repair problem could be one that the cost makes you consider if its worth keeping the car. They are out of the box thinkers who will go the extra distance in trying to find a way to repair your problem economically while you consider keeping or replacing your vehicle. We brought our Passat in for a second opinion after having another mechanic tell us the engine was shot. They were super helpful and quick about getting the vehicle checked out, and to our pleasure they found the issue and gave us a very fair estimate. I mentioned I would appreciate being asked before repairs were made and they happily called me anytime another issue turned up, and still were always able to make the repair within 36 hours. Went to pick up the vehicle and the cost was surprisingly low given how much attention they had given in just phone calls over the few days it was at the shop. Thrilled with the results and that we have found a repair shop for our VW. Highly recommend! Great communication/customer service and great job on the vehicle as well. Thanks North Pointe!

My car (VW Jetta MK4) had 2 codes up: Engine coolant and TCM problem that needs replacement. Had to get my car towed to them after sitting on the driveway for months on end.Already knew what the problem was and they went straight to the point. Very honest and Professional.Gave me an estimate on cost and it turned out to be much cheaper when I finally paid and signed to get my car back.I still have to go back to get my other OBD code fixed when I get the time. Will definitely be back. Highly recommend.

I was here with my mercedes(I gotta some problems with the RPM running up and down )they told me to give them the car for a couple days they will check it....I take the car they dont resolve the problem and they charge me 100 dollars for labor.Also they told me to bring car back and they will find the problem for another hundred dollars....dont go there with your car if you dont know whats wrong because they dont know anything....thanks..
