Nice place, attentive staff

I have always loved coming to Sur la table pre Covid. I was able to find and purchase what I needed. The store appears to be clean, not with overstocked shelves, but just enough to entice a buyer to find something special.

The store has everything you need to make any meal. The cooking classes are one of the funniest things Ive ever done with my wife. Tom our chef instructor on two occasions was AWESOME. Very informative in a fun way and makes sure to go through everything thoroughly. Were not talking easy meals here either, this is some high end cooking you would expect from three and four star restaurants. The crazy thing is after doing everything you will have the confidence to make it again at home. These classes are very fun but my big take away is the tips that Tom showed us has made me a better cook in my home. I would say Im average as a home cook and really enjoy cooking. The tips from these classes have taken me to the next level, knife skills are dramatically faster and I know the knife I purchased from them will last me 30 years. I highly recommend this place if you want a really fun date night or want to become a better cook, ask for a class taught by Tom.

Great gifts for mothers day!

I hosted a birthday party for my wife and her friends. Amy and her team were so communicative, flexible and helpful in setting up the party. The only problem was that the space only had room for 25 people! It was an amazing event. A central cooking activity (plus BYO wine) made for a really fun evening. Naturally, the food was great (we made Seafood Paella). The staff were fun and engaged. So many friends told me how memorable the party was and that I need to speak with their husbands before their next birthday.

I really enjoy this store. We love to cook and we never have time to simply go shopping anymore. While waiting for a reservation at a restaurant, we saw there was a Sur La Table at Old Orchard so we popped in.They have a great selection of a very wide variety of food preparation and serving items. Pricing tends to be a little high but they have so much to choose from. Even though we walked out with very little, I think I have some great ideas for when I do my holiday shopping.

Stop in a Sur La Table for all of your cooking needs. The staff here are very friendly and helpful. They will make you an espresso to sip while you wander through the store. They have everything from espresso machines, to cups, to dishes, and cutlery. I love wandering around looking at all of the fun kitchen gadgets. They also offer cooking classes which have themes like Paris Nights, I cant wait to take a cooking class!

Great customer service

Rosi and her team are patient and helpful. Happy to answer my endless questions about differences between types of cookware. Considering how expensive some of this stuff is, its important to me to really understand what Im buying. They clearly love coming here, but theyre not snobbish about it at all - and thats what makes me happy to come back.

V helped me today, on New Years day when all souls should be resting. She was great and found what I was looking for-- viva bricks and mortar stores!

I really like this place better than crate and barrel. The staff are super friendly and nice and they also have cooking classes. I have yet to try them but I really like their selection of plates and other products. I bought some pretty cool modern plates that C&B did not have and also the pricing is not too outrageous compared to other stores in the area. Always fun to swing by and see whats new here.

Now for those of you used to visiting high end culinary establishments, you might have felt at times like walking into a Rolex store wearing a cut off t shirt and bib overalls. You wont feel that way when you walk in this establishment. The great people at Sur Le Table Skokie are friendly, engaging, instructive and fun. Walking in wearing Google Glass made it even more fun. Had no idea now much I needed a pizza steel until spending some time with their staff. You also cannot beat having them make you a free cappuccino from a $5K machine.

Good service, good food. Lots of families, but it wasnt too loud. The blintzes are amazing.

Lots of neat, but expensive, whos-its and whats-its gadgets on the store floor - but the class area was excellent. Very friendly staff, patient, and easy to follow instructions. Also, the dessert cookies Chef Tami had us make were aces!!
